Turning the Tide (Eastern Shore Swingers #5) by Phoebe Alexander
Four Stars
These stories get better each time. The author has a way with making you laughing the most unlikely situations. The author is also taking something many people look down on and making it no big deal. We all enjoy our company and pleasure different ways so accept it and move on. I really like Luke. He is such a sweet guy. I felt sorry for him through most of the book. He deserves a HEA. Connie was a good character as well. I really liked the action parts and the drama. Everyone has a crazy person in their life Luke happened to marry his. The story gives you a look into a lifestyle that we look at as wrong. He paints it as a community of friends who happen to enjoy watching and switching partners. I don’t think I would partake but I understand it a little more. Review by @gguerrero89
Pandora’s Price was a 5+ star read and book three in the Hart & Cole series. I was pulled right into the story and I didn’t want it to end. I was emotionally exhausted by the time I was done.
This is Darren and Luisa’s story. This is a real story that is not sugar coated. You experience everything right along with them, right down to whether they will continue to stay married.
Can these two work it out before it’s too late?
I really wish I could give more to this review but I don’t want to ruin anything for the reader. Just have the kleenex ready. There is betrayal, love, trust, resentment and so much more. Sasha has done a terrific job of pulling you in with her writing and you feel every emotion right along with the characters. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story as well. I love this series, I highly suggest reading this series starting with book one, but definitely read book two before this one. I can’t wait to get my hands on book four.

Pandora’s Price by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné Is book 3 in the Hart and Cole series. While I loved the other two books. I have to say this was my favorite of the three. Although a continuation of the characters in book 2. This book developed the characters and their relationship even more. A rollercoaster of emotions doesnt even begin to describe this book. The heartbreaking real life love kept me on the edge of the seat the entire book. I love this author and cant wait to see what comes next. I give this book 5 stars without hesitation!!! A must read!!

Pandora’s Price (Hart & Cole Book 3) Sacha T. Y Fortune 5 out of 5 stars
If you are looking for a book series that plays on every human emotion you have then Sacha Fortune’s Hart & Cole series is the one for you. I was completely invested in these books from the very first one but this is a series that leaves you believing the next book couldn’t possibly be as good and then it exceeds all expectations. Sacha Fortune says it herself in a brief “disclaimer” before reading these books, “it isn’t a glossy love story.” Everything about this book, these characters, this series, is real, raw and emotional. I couldn’t even begin to compose a review that gives this story justice. The depth and character growth of Darren and Luisa alone are enough to earn this author a spot on my “must read” list. This book is not a standalone read, so if by chance you’re reading this without reading the first two books first, go back and devour them- they’re that good. Review by @fnbates
Gamble on a Cowboy Melissa Keir and D’Ann Lindun was engaging, sweet, steamy, heart string pulling read, that was down right fun as hell.
A short read, with two quick but well rounded stories was something to behold. Both authors managed to pack a lot into their respective stories and I wish they were longer. Both could have been easily a full size novel. Their talent shown through and I will be checking out their other works.
As for the stories, and since they are quick, anything would give away the magic. I will tell you that, the writing is smooth, top shelf, and full of heart and emotions. Especially that first read, man, how can such a short read squeeze my heart so? It had that perfect balance of sweet, heart melty, and fun. Add in two very well-rounded characters and you got an enjoyable read, that will have you wanting more. The second novella, was different enough while keeping with the theme, that you didn’t feel like you were reading the same story twice. That second read, has drama, hot steamy romance, and a bit of a mystery that keeps you on your toes. Like the first there are two very well-rounded interesting characters, that just leap off the pages.
Overall this book will have you hooked, laughing, emotional, all while needing a fan from those hot moments. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval that you will not be disappointed.

Love On The Line by Laurie Lewis is book two in the Great Expectations Love Story : The Graykens. This book is a continuation of Mikaela and Matt’s love story. I really enjoyed book one so I was excited to get to read book two. I really enjoy Laurie’s writing style and I really enjoy the characters she creates. This was a sweet book of love. Although it wasn’t all butterflies it was beautifuly written. I definitely recommend if you have read book one. I look forward to maybe a book with Kate’s story? And more of Matt and Michaela. Overall great story and 5 star rating.

Pandora’s Price (Hart & Cole Book 3) by Sacha T.Y. Fortune 4 out of 5 stars
This series is amazing! I have loved every single book and I have been waiting for each book. This entire series has left me breathless. Ms. Fortune is an amazing story teller. She crafts loving and beautiful characters that you fall madly in love with. This book, this series, shows the true love and heartache of marriage and the life of two imperfect people who are just trying to be perfect for each other. Do not try to reach these as standalones. Read these in series order. They are incredible. These stories are highly complex. The drama and emotion. These stories, these charactes. You will love them. You will cheer for them. grow with them and reach for them. Highly recommended for all genre lovers.
Pandora’s Price by Sacha T. Y. Fortune is the closing of Louisa and Darren’s story and the third book in her Hart & Cole series. Quoting the writer “This is NOT a glossy love story. But if you’re looking for a romance read that will rattle you… characters that will change you… and love that will last in your mind long after you’re finished… THIS IS THE ONE FOR YOU.” She hit the nail right on the head! It is not your usual off-the-mill love story! The writer drags you through ups and downs and twists and turns and you hate people and they you forgive them and then you get upset with them and then you fall so deeply in love with them that you are not able to fall out of love with them when they upset you again! As I said then this is the closing of Louisa and Darren’s story, we will live along with them and we are pushed to the point of the destruction! We stay with them when we all wonder if they are able to pull everything back together and whether they will find a way into a future while making the broken hearts whole again … Fortunately it is the end of the series as there is so much potential and quite a few characters that are screaming for their own stories and we already know who are next in the line!

5-Stars
Pandora’s Price is the amazing third addition to this series. The novel continues to follow Luisa and Darren as the main characters as they continue to struggle with their marriage and infidelity. Sacha Fortune has done an amazing job in creating her characters. The storyline is also developed well and addictive. It was very difficult for me to put this novel down. I do believe that it is my favorite book of the series. Luisa really changed in this novel and I loved it. I highly recommend this books and the series. This novel cannot be read as a standalone and each of the books are addicting as well as their characters. I absolutely loved it!

Pandora’s Price is Book 3 in the incredible Hart & Cole Series, these books really do need to be read in order for you completely understand our main characters Darren & Luisa back story and the journey they have taken through all three books in this series! This author has continued to blow me away with her incredible jam-packed storyline, in-depth real, relatable & raw characters that each stand strong on their own and even better together.
This book was once again raw & real and made you completely and utterly captivated from the start, you couldn’t put this book down until the very end. Then when you have finished the read, it sticks with you for hours later.
These books in this series, really do stand out from the rest, it’s emotional, raw and above all, it has incredible characters and an even better real & raw storyline that is utterly compelling from start to finish! I can’t wait to see where else she takes this series, I can already guarantee whatever this author writes it will be epic!

Let me level with you. Hawk? Dope as all get out. He’s the quiet one and they are the ones you ALWAYS need to look out for. Doubly so in Hawk’s case. Also, since he’s got an awesome name, it was almost impossible for him to not be everything I had hoped for in a main character. Stella is pretty cool but I’ve think she could benefit from hearing the full idiom “Blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.” I get that she feels she needs to help her brother, but come one. That dude is bad news anyway you slice it. I also find him to be pretty rude but I would bet a considerable amount of money that it was deliberate. Family is family but if they get you in trouble to further themselves, cut them out like any manner of unsavory growths. Lastly, so as not to gush over spoilers, who doesn’t love a good treasure hunt?! This entire series is really good and you may be a little lost if you try to read them out of order. The back stories are very important. That being said, I love Vantage Point the most and want to tell everyone to read this first even though I am a huge proponent of reading book and watching movies, shows, ect. in order.

LOVE on the LINE (Great Expectations Love Stories: The Graykens Book 2) By Laurie Lewis
Let me start off by saying thank you Ms. Lewis for writing the sequel to Love on a Limb. I became completely invested in Matt and Mikaela’s story. The first book touched my heart in a way that left me with a lasting impression, with that being said this book is just as amazing. There is so much heartache, sadness, hope, and love in this story I wasn’t sure that my heart would take it but at the same time I could not stop reading. This book was written so well that it felt so real and touched my soul. There are some parts that were hard to get through because the fight felt so draining and difficult, then you feel the love, hope, possibility, friendship, and family and it makes everything worth the fight. I cannot say enough wonderful things about how well this story was written and how it touched my heart. I was definitely put through the emotional ringer and would and will do it over again because this is the kind of book you can’t just read once. I can’t wait to read what this author has in store for me next.

Pandora’s Price (Hart & Cole Book 3) by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné is an explosive continuation of the story so far. So be warned read the books in order. Everything is out on the table all the secrets and lies have come to a head and show that we are all caught up in our own thoughts of what happened that we sometimes need to take a step back and re-evaluate all that we have done and seen. When tragedy strikes the vultures come out and nothing and I mean nothing is off limits when you are in the spot light. But it takes a tragedy to show just what you have sometimes and what you will do to keep it. Privacy is no longer your own and all your dirty underwear is hanging on the line for all to see. I thought this was the end of the series but I was happily surprised to see that there is more.

Pandora’s Price by Sacha Y. Fortune is the third book in the Hart and Cole series. You do need to read this series in order as each one builds on the story the author has created and reading them out of order would diminish your understanding and enjoyment of them. This book is just as good and intriguing as the other ones have been. I found myself turning the pages quick as I had to find out what would happen. I connected with the characters easily and really became invested in their story. This is a very well written and complex book and one I would definitely recommend.

Taming the Troublemaker by Kadie Scott is book three of The Hills of Texas series. This book is a standalone and can be read without reading books one and two. I’ve read this series completely out of order and don’t feel like I’ve missed anything at all.
Autry Hill has been dubbed the biggest playboy in town and now his reputation may cost him his family’s ranch. He doesn’t expect Beth Cooper to find her way back into his life and cost him more than the ranch. Beth Cooper May have had a crush on Autry a long time ago but she has to stay practical and she can’t fall for him. She doesn’t realize that he is just who she needs to help her help one of her students. Can they work together for Dylan’s sake? What will be the ultimate cost?
I really enjoyed this book. Autry May have had a reputation but when the right person came along he was willing to risk it all. I was so drawn to these characters and there fun light hearted moments but also the serious ones as well. This was such a great book to read and I highly recommend it.

I wanted to like this story more than I did. It started out cute and sweet; from the play on their names ( Ash and Ellie), the runt pot bellied pig, to their meet cute, but somewhere along the way it became something I wasn’t interested in reading. While I am not the target audience I typically enjoy contemporary fairy tales.
I always appreciate the effort a writer puts into creating a story as I am not someone who could do it. While this one didn’t tickle my fancy, it might be perfect for you.

In book 3 we get to learn more about Darren and Luisa in there life and marriage and although its not all sunshine and butterfly’s there story is beautiful and captivating. I could read about them all day long. Everything this couple has gone through keeps you wanting to read more and more. Sacha Did a wonderful job keeping you engrossed in this series. The only bad part of this book was it ending!!!!! I highly recommend this series to readers and I would read in order!!!! I really hope this will not be the last book in the Hart and Cole series.

Pandora’s Price is the 3rd book in the fantastic Hart and Cole series by Sacha T Y Fortune. I have to say that this book has been, by far, my favourite of the 3 books so far. Starting from where the 2nd book Pandora’s Poison left off, this book had me totally gripped the whole way through. I really could not put this book down. There is so much angst and emotion that you cannot help but end up with matchsticks keeping your eyes open as you stayed up too late reading the night before as you just had to keep reading to see what happened next. This book gave me conflicting emotions. I still loved Darren and Kris and still hated Nicole with a passion. But whereas I hated both Luisa and Gianna in Pandora’s Poison, I found a lot more empathy for both of them in this book. I really felt sorry for Gianni on many occasions but there were also many times I really liked and admired him. This book has so many twists and turns. Just as you think you know where the story is going…boom! – you are taken in a new direction. In the words of the author herself ***Real emotion. Real life. Real love. This is NOT a glossy love story. But if you’re looking for a romance read that will rattle you… characters that will change you… and love that will last in your mind long after you’re finished… THIS IS THE ONE FOR YOU.***

Pandora’s Price is the third book in the Hart & Cole Series by Sacha T.Y Fortuné . Right from the first book Ms. Fortuné had me hooked. It isn’t a ‘sunshine and rainbows’ story that’s for sure, it is a raw and at times a ‘warts and all’ account, which made the story and the characters very real, and entirely believable. This is the continuation of Darren and Luisa’s story. I really recommend reading the other two books before beginning on this one, because there are recurring characters, shared events, and other relevant details that you should know in order to get the most out of your reading experience. At the very least, you need to read book two before starting this one, as Darren and Luisa’s story continues from book #2. From the beautiful cover/s, to the multidimensional characters, intricate storyline, and brilliant detailing- this book ticks all the boxes. It takes us on a journey through the inner workings of a marriage- the love, obstacles, insecurities, trust, compromises, forgiveness, doubts, pressures, infidelity, communication, commitment, passion, and pain- which can play an important part in the success or failure of a relationship. There are intense moments, dramatic details, surprising developments, passionate encounters, believable dialogue, and complex characters who you will want to know more about, and who will draw you into their story and into the rollercoaster ride that is their relationship/s. It was intriguing, emotive and incredibly well written. Can’t wait to read book #4, “Below the Surface” as it looks set to be fantastic!

Another great read in this series! While this is book 5, it can be read as a standalone. We do see previous characters but each book is about a new couple.
Where do i start? I do have to say that as I was reading, I had my doubts on if I would like where this was heading but then I had to take a break (kids lol) and when i came back I had a new outlook. How would I feel if this were me or my husband? While it would be very hard I couldn’t tell you what we would do unless we lived it. This was a great story and I really enjoyed the drama and the suspense. Can’t wait for more of this series!

I chose to read this book because I thought the title was intriguing. Everyone is looking for an everyday enchantment, some ordinary magic in the normality of daily life. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be a fantastical story or memoirs of a modern woman, it turned out to be a bit of both in my opinion. Through a series of essays, Maria DeBlassie invites us to look at the everyday with new eyes, I guess you could say this is similar to the mindfulness trend that is so popular, or perhaps it’s one step further. I had never tried meditation, but I do suffer with anxiety so thought this book might be an easy way to try it out. I was not disappointed. Although it took me a good chapter to get used to the style of writing, the subject kept me turning the pages. I also found myself wanting to go back and reread certain sections. It will not be a one off read for me, hopefully it is the start of a journey.
Vantage Point is the fourth book in the Gray Ghost series. It can be read as a standalone. If you want to find out more about the other characters in the book, read the previous stories, especially the prequel. It will give Vantage Point a little more depth for you regarding the bond between them.
This story moves along at a good pace and keeps you engaged. Stella has a lot more patience than I would with what she has to deal with. A lot of people create their own chaos, but Stella has to deal with the fallout from the bad decisions of her brother. We finally get to learn more about Hawk and his life experience in this story as he tries to keep Stella safe. When his past comes into the spotlight, will Stella feel differently about him?

This is the third book in this series, I highly suggest reading all books from the beginning to help enrich your enjoyment of this series. In this book we get to see what pushes Darren and Luisa’s marriage to the point of their destruction. Will they be able to pull every thing back together, make broken hearts whole again? I loved these characters but they did make me frustrated in parts with their action but they did make the story, they made it real for me as well. This is a must read!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There aren’t enough star ratings to give this book, this author, this series…5 stars just aren’t enough!!
I have been sitting here staring at my screen for no less than 10 minutes trying to figure out a way to review this book, I actually titled this review this morning and have had to walk away from it a few times. I just don’t have words to do this review justice and that makes me so so sad. I’ve gone back to my other reviews of the first 2 and feel like there’s still so much more to say. This author is Phenomenal…Brilliant in her storytelling. I kept trying to slow myself down because of many reasons, one I was so afraid all the time of what was going to happen, and two I just didn’t want it to end.
She transported me directly into this book, I was there, I watched all this happen and felt every single emotion that has ever been named, I even felt the texture of the walls of the different scenes. I don’t know how to explain how real this story felt and OMG the relationships in this whole series were Amazing but this book took a couple relationship to new heights, and I’m not even talking about romantic relationships…I am so in love with these people, A couple I liked a little earlier in the series then disliked them then ended with loving almost every one of them. What a ride this author has took me on in these books, and now to find out there’s another?

Rafferty (Default Distraction #2) By A.S. Roberts Rated 5 stars
This is so heartwarming and uplifting! A story of overcoming obstacles and long lost love. This book is one that will keep me coming back to read over and over. I love how it slowly uncovers all the problems, the passion and the reasoning. So so much history here. Hearts have been crushed, relationships have been cut off and tears have been cried. It’s amazing how much the past dictates the future and you don’t even realize it until your older. Then one day BAM!
These characters made me smile one minute then turn around and be sad the next. I kind of admire Rafferty. Once he realizes how much he has missed and loves Lauren he vows to never give her up again. His comment at one time is how she was not a fleeting thought through the missing years. She was a monthly, daily and every second thought. Awwww! He is a man who goes after what he wants!
The secondary characters usually help make a book in my opinion. In here we have the rest of the band members (Brody, Cade, Luke)as well as the other besties (Winter and Amy). They all did wonderful but I have to say one of the BEST ones was Flint. He added his own brand of UMPH! to the story. I really just loved everything about this character. His scenes were unforgettable!
Not my first read by this author and it won’t be the last. I enjoy her stories. In this series The author intermixed scenes from the last book (Brody) and this one. Same scene just from another characters POV. I have read this before (in other books) and find it Interesting what the characters are thinking and reacting to from previous books. So I would highly recommend reading Brody first as it is amazing as well! I eagerly look forward to Cade’s story.

Gamble on a Cowboy by Melissa Keir and D’Ann Lindun are two stories that are western romances that tugged at my heartstrings. A Vegas Cowboy by Melissa Keir and Vegas, Baby, Vegas by D’Ann Lindun had me hooked and loved the journey between the characters that was both sweet and sexy and the telling of their stories is well done.
A Vegas Cowboy – Daisy has been barely living from a tragedy that stole the loves of his life but when a chance encounter at an airport spikes his interest, he starts to wonder if maybe there could be more. Waking up the next morning he gets more than he bargained for.
Vegas, Baby, Vegas – Bailey McKlellan is making it in a mans cutthroat business but one man seems determined to make his mark know, in more than one way. Along the way Bailey is faced with a life changing decision but what happens when that secret comes to life?
They are both sexy, heartfelt and lovely stories that have lots of steam and sizzling moments and they will definitely capture your heart.

Taming the Troublemaker (Hills of Texas Series book 3) by Kadie Scott is a sweet small town romance story. The characters are wonderful and they all crossover in each of the others stories. Kadie’s romances are well written and are sweet addictions with feisty, flirty banter and a little drama, plenty of chemistry and love, fun and lots of humour. Autry Hill is a bit of a player but he’s sick of that life and reputation. He is finally given a chance to get what he wants and is determined to prove he can do. However, he didn’t count on one feisty woman coming into his life. Beth Cooper has always been the good girl, the one nobody looks twice at but she has always had a crush on the one person who could crush her heart and now one small boy just may be the one to bring them together. The events in this book had me laughing and it is another great addition to the series. I can’t wait for the next book.

Intrigue, Mystery, Hot and Page Turning! That was just the first three chapters! The Protector: Mac is the first book in the Cover Six Security Series by Lisa B. Kamps. The cover of this book was definitely eye catching then I read the synopsis, which drew me in. Once I started reading the first chapter it was all over for me! Alpha male at its finest! Gordon or Mac is a retired Army Ranger turned security for Cover Six. Tabitha or TR is a reporter/journalist that is on a story right now that apparently has people coming after her. The only person that can keep her safe and sound is Mac. Mac is willing to put everything on the line to keep TR safe and that includes his heart. Anytime these two are together, there are sparks that everyone can see but Mac tries to ignore. This book is action packed and is filled with constant mystery. Not to mention filled with a large amount of sizzling hot tension! I loved every second of it and I cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out.

The Devil’s Backbone is the fifth book in the Wild Beasts Series by T. Birmingham. It is a fantastic paranormal romance with lots of action, danger, drama, emotion, mystery, suspense, shifters, Gods, magic, second chances, and self-discovery. As I have said before through this superb series, I love the way Ms. Birmingham builds the tension and adds a mysteriousness, and suspense to her books. And as I have come to expect from her, she had me on the edge of my seat, anxiously reading to discover where the story would lead. This book could be read as a standalone, but I don’t recommend it. If you haven’t read the other books, I strongly suggest that you do- because there’s so much back story, character introductions, and other relevant information contained in those books- and having all that information on board will greatly enhance your overall reading experience of not only this book, but the series as a whole. As with the other books in this series, this has a complex, multi-layered storyline- which Ms. Birmingham has masterfully woven into a quite an engrossing read. This story focuses on Tess Thompson and Benjamin Oliver- although characters we’ve met in previous book/s also make appearances. I really enjoyed following along on their ‘adventure’- finding out all about them, and what got them to this point. I really felt for Tess and what she’d been through. All that pain and suffering at the hands of the people who were meant to love and protect her. But even after everything she’d been through, and taking her unique genetic traits into account, she didn’t like to see people suffer, and was still kind and caring. But, she’d kind of shut down, wasn’t ‘really’ living- just making the motions really- never revealing her true self, or letting others get too ‘close’. She had a few friends- James (The Lodge leader), Devon (her former student), Annie (an Other), and Ben (a previous resident and trainer at The Lodge)- but even with them she never gave herself completely. This story allows us to see her struggles, what she had endured, and the self-realization and discovery she goes through. She’s a really special character, and was really easy to get emotionally invested in. Add Ben to the mix and I was hooked. I was rooting for them the whole way through. And that ending! I hope that was setting us up for the next book!! The world-building, legend, and lore was incredibly well done, superbly developed- and entirely believable. The characters are extremely interesting, endearing, and fully developed. There were a lot of emotional factors to this story- moments of extreme heartbreak, as well as other moments that were truly heartfelt, tender, and touching. My favourite of the series so far. I can’t wait for “Devil May Care” (Book #6).

Birmingham – Review by Angela Hayes
This is my first book by this author and i thought it was a very interesting read. I don’t think i have read anything like this book and i found myself thinking multiple times that i needed to be friends with this person ASAP. So many topics were covered in this book but one common occurrence was the thought that magic is everywhere and in everything. This book was a refreshing cleanse to the normal stuff i read and i am looking forward to reading more books by this author. I would recommend this to a friend!
