Coming Home: The Sequel to Flowers in December is written by Jane Suen. It is a fitting follow on from Flowers in December, and another great and riveting story.
Coming Home is a magical story of Connor and Mary Ann, Alana and Dottie. Loss, sadness, hopelessness all feature in their story. But love is a funny little creature. You find it the oddest of places, when you least expect it. Each character has there load to carry, and the author pens it out intriguingly and smartly. A great story to disappear into, with a cast that is easy to like, frustrating at times, always giving more to their audience. A quality story that just kept getting better. 4 stars.

Every book in this series has built off of one another, delivering twists and turns around every proverbial corner. This book delivered another round of surprise and intrigue. I wanted to love, laugh, rage, and fight alongside the characters. Just when I thought I had people and things figured out I would somehow be made to consider another person, another way, some other thing. I loved this book. Hands down a riveting and engaging piece that I will gladly recommend to others.

I loved this book! It is a suspense, thriller with a twist of romance mixed in. I had a hard time putting it down. The characters Dennis and Samantha are great, strong and made the story come to life. Dennis is in prison and says that he has been wrongly imprisoned. Samantha lives in England but as she writes to him, she finds herself having feelings for him the more she visits him. Now that he is freed, Samantha has many unanswered questions about Dennis. Does she really want to know the truth that he may not be as innocent as he once appeared? Lots of twists and turns that kept me turning pages until the end. This is a must read thriller!
Claimed Royalty by Betty Shreffler Stars-5 I really enjoyed this story and the characters! Fiora is the princess who truly is warrior that will stand up to bullies. She is picking suitors as well as proving she can be a strong leader. Matheas will do anything for Fiora, and he means so much to Fiora. This story spins a world of love, honor, destiny, the unknown, and fighting for what you want. It is a great new series by Betty Shreffler that I cannot wait to read more of it.
This book is different than anything else that i have read recently and it was one of those books that had me asking a lot of questions about myself. This book is about a young woman and her journey through life as a person of faith and how her life isn’t going how she had planned it but God will guide her along the way. The authors writing style was great and i could easily put myself in the characters shoes. I enjoyed this book a lot and i thought it was certainly worth the read! I would recommend to a friend.

If The Shoe Fits is the third installment in The Liberty Lawrence series and it is just as sweet,fun & mysterious as the first two books. Libby is our main character who gets a job in the fashion section and is excited to get to work. Unfortunately her boss is kind of horrid and doesn’t treat Libby very well. Libby is such a awesome character. She is funny, has a heart of gold and is shoe OBSESSED! She is excited to be working on a new fashion line at work but finds out that one of the featured hoodies(or a look alike) was used in a crime. The plot thickens and Libby ends up being the one in the bad guys path. She will have to figure out this mystery before she ends up with her pretty shoes scuffed up from the trouble. I am looking forward to reading more by this author and i would recommend this to a friend!

Hazed is the first book in the Hazed & Unfazed Series by Brittany Butler. This is based on a true story- with elements of college romance, opposites attract, drawn to the bad boy, secrets, lies, obsession, and addiction, all playing a part in this interesting book. Taylor Thompson thought college would bring her the freedom she desperately wanted, by getting her away from her incredibly strict father and the small town she called home. Getting a job as a waitress, introduces her to Hayze Clark, the sexy, tattooed, bad-boy bartender- who turns her world upside down. What follows can be hard to read at times- it’s intense and confronting. The characters were really well developed, but I just couldn’t connect with them like I would have liked to. It did hold my attention though, right through till the end- and the story is set to continue in the next book. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series to find out how everything plays out. Unfazed (Book #2) and Ruined (Book #3) are both available now, so there is no waiting to be able to continue the story.

Fortitude is a superb story by Carrie Dalby. This is historical fiction at its best, something I have come to expect from Ms. Dalby. There is friendship, danger, romance, racism, secret love, intolerance, acceptance, drama, secrets, emotion, honour, and is a social and political snapshot of the times. The story is set during the Spanish-American War, with Buffalo soldiers, the Jim Crow (segregation) laws, forbidden love, and the hardships, violence, and intolerance of the times. We follow Claire O’Farrell on her journey- with a Creole as her best friend and an idealistic nature, her choices in life conflict with the views of society at the time. Claire is strong, brave, strong, and full of faith- even when it puts her in danger. There were some sweet scenes, as well as more heart-wrenching, emotive, intense and chilling moments- which all served to kept me flipping the pages to find out what would happen. The story was definitely thought-provoking! I love the way Ms. Dalby is able to build vivid images with her words, bringing her story and characters to life and allowing us, the readers to fully immerse ourselves in the story. Her attention to detail is brilliant! The characters were really well crafted- given their own complex personalities that gave them believability. I always enjoy anything historical, if it’s done well- which this book certainly was! Looking forward to more from Ms. Dalby.

The Woman America Loves a Latte by Holly Tierney-Bedord is a wonderful, intriguing story that pulled me in and held my attention from beginning to end. I have enjoyed exploring Ms. Tierney’s works, and have read most of them now- this story is definitely among my favourite reads of hers. Veloura (Vee) hasn’t had things easy in life. She really needs a bit of luck on her side. In a case of mistaken identity, she ends up with her dream job- as the “face” for Caprice Cappuccino chain. It couldn’t have come at a better time- so with a guaranteed pay-check and a gas and food allowance, she sets off on her cross-country advertising campaign/adventure. But we soon find that trouble isn’t too far behind. This is such a great story. The author has written it extremely well and was quite detail oriented in her story. There’s plenty of intrigue, some mystery, suspense, drama, and more. There is quite a lot happening in the story, and I found it to be a very quick read. The characters were all fully developed and realistic- with their own individual, if not quirky personalities. I wonder what Ms. Tierney-Bedord has in store for us next?

Little Do You Know (Bayou Devils MC Book 5) A.M Myers 4 out of 4 stars
Little Do You Know is book number 5 in A.M Myers’ Bayou Devils MC Series. While it wasn’t my favorite installment in the series so far, it still made for a really good read, touching all bases I’ve come to expect from A.M. Myers. As always, A.M Myers delivers a fast paced, book with a good mix of fast paced action and page turning romance that I would most definitely recommend to others.

Burning Britely (Burning Britely #1) by Deidre Huesmann was a sweet, heart melty read, that had me hooked from start to finish.
My first read by this author, and though I have read LGBTQ books in the past, it’s still something that is a tab bit out of my normal comfort zone. I’m glad I gave this book a chance because the love story is sweet, emotional, heart melty, and heart breaking. Love is love, and this book puts it on display for all to see.
The only thing that rubbed me a bit the wrong way, was the lack of detail and scene development and descriptions. Now I do get that this book is at the 150 mark, so it is fairly short, and is borderline a novella. (Not dissing novellas, I love them, and some of my fav reads are them). I think to keep the word count down, and the characters the main focus, the world building and scene development suffered. There were times I didn’t quite get a scene, because it was told to me rather than shown, and that made some of the more important scenes lacking and at times confusing. I think if a little more time was spent on growing those key scenes, and pivatable moments, would have greatly help the overall story and readability.
As for the characters and their development. No complaints on that front, and even though our MC’s Jeff, comes across as a tool, I didn’t find him unlikeable as he was intended. As someone who is blunt, and struggles a little bit with emotions, I connected with him and got him a little then some others might. I thought he was a wonderful character, and he kinda stole the show for me. Sure yeah, the love interest was hot, and all that jazz, but Jeff, I found had the most overall growth and character development.
Overall this book is a super high recommendation from me, and it gets my stamp of approval. It’s current, relevant, and as I have said, will melt and steal your heart before you know what’s going on.
Dancing Queen by Charlotte Roth is a fun and inspirational read. Fiona has always been the “fat” girl. She gets paired up with Stu in a healthy life support group. Stu has a crazy idea that the two should sign up for a dancing competition. Fiona has always been told that she shouldn’t dance because of her size. Will she stand up and take the challenge? I really enjoyed the characters and their relatability. The story is fun and deals with body issues in a light way but that doesn’t ridicule the subject. The writing is smooth and the story just flowed. I did not want to put the book down and was disappointed to see the story end. I will definitely be looking for more from this author in the future.

Extended Flight by Tamara Ferguson is the third book in the Tales of the Dragonfly. This is a romantic and suspense book that can be read as a standalone book from the rest of the series. Aaron is a vet who is looking for his sister, who has gone missing. Kiley has escaped an attempt on her life thanks to Aaron being in the right place at the right time. The two have a wonderful connection that is magical at points. I really enjoyed the characters. Aaron is masculine without being overpowering and too alpha. Kiley is smart and endearing. The two of them will make your heart melt because of the connection they instantly share. I also liked the story had suspense and some twists. This kept me wanting to read more and find out all the ins and outs of the characters. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to more from Tamara Ferguson.

Betty Shreffer is becoming one of my favorite authors to read; every one of her books just pulls me in and leaves me wanting more. Claimed Royalty was an amazing forbidden romance with a side of great steamy moments. To me this was a different take on a royal story, instead of the guy trying to find a queen; we have a princess. Fiora is looking to become Queen but first, she has to go through trials to prove that she is strong, brave and a quick thinker, all along with finding her King. One major problem she doesn’t want any of the royals children, she only has eyes for childhood friend/Arms Man, Matheas.
So many good/bad things happened in this book that I don’t want to spoil them. I can’t wait for Twice Claimed I have to know what is going to happen next.

Knights Who Won My Heart (Knights #4) By Sonya Jesus Rated 5 stars!!
OMG!?! I can’t believe what has happened in this book. I went from shock to total devastation to WHAT?!?! This is one of those books that causes people to irritate me. ALL I want to do is sit and read this book and ignore the world until it’s finished.
This is a story that is FULL of Action, Suspense and Thrills like you CAN’T imagine! Non-Stop! It picked up exactly where the last one left off.(So snag books 1-3 and read those first). This book is pretty heavy there is not a lot of room for light heart. There are some moments but this really is all about ending the series and getting answers to burning questions. OH..and finding out who Lia chooses.
I have a special place in my heart for all these characters. They have led me through with tough times, love and laughter. I easily became emotional while reading this and have not recovered yet. I don’t want to let go of these characters. (Thank Goodness for re-reads)

This book picks up where book three left off, highly recommend reading all books first. This this installment the killer has decided to claim his Queen, Amelia, or will he? I had a hard time putting this book done, it so full of twists and turns and edge sitting on the edge of your seat action. The characters are strong, creative and kept the story engaging. Amelia has been my favorite from the beginning and the emotional ride she took me on. I highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed this second chance romance. Not only are the characters looking a second chance love but also finding strength to move on and heal. This book started out emotional and throughout the story. Bijou and Noah are great characters plus they both have painful pasts and are in need of healing. She is trying to keep a dream alive and he just wants to heal. Will they heal each other? Their story is easy flowing and engaging from cover to cover. I highly recommend this book.

Claimed Royalty by Betty Shreffler is the first book in the Crowned and Claimed series. This book is fast paced and intense and will have you hooked from start to finish. This is an author I normally enjoy and this book did not disappoint. You are drawn to the main characters and their journey, it feels like you go on it with them. Their was a depth and complexity to everything about this book. As the first book in the series this is a brilliant way to start it. I really cannot wait to see what else is to come.
The story Fortitude by Carrie Dalby is a coming of age book that I loved reading. It is a story that takes you to a time when the societal boundaries are strict and when friendship or love that break the rules can cause scandal. One of the reasons that I found myself loving this book is the character of Claire O’Farrell. She is a young woman who is smart, independent, and strong. She is not one to conform or be told who she should care about. This story tells of her going to serve as a nurse for the Buffalo Soldiers. Her journey has her helping soldiers in need to recover from their injuries. She is a kind and compassionate person. She soon finds herself in danger and caught up in the racial violence that is all around her. The consequences of her decisions follow her home. Read this book for her full story. This is a book that had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. There are moments that are heartbreaking, sad, and others that made me angry with the treatment many of the characters received. There are also moments that warmed my heart. This is a story that is thought-provoking. There is intense and emotional dialogue. It is a book that I couldn’t get out of my mind even after I had finished it. There are many characters that are introduced and interact with Claire. They range from those who appreciate her hard work and those who strongly disagree with her and her actions. This is a book that pulls you in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the end. I would highly recommend reading it.

Tales of the Dragonfly Book III: Extended Flight is apart of Tales of the Dragonfly series by Tamara Ferguson. Being that this is the third book, it is a stand-alone book. Tamara Ferguson is an awesome story teller. When I read her books, I feel that she engages me as a reader. She wants you to love her characters and to take the journey as she has laid out for them. This story is about wounded warrior named Aaron and his sister who is missing. The story takes place in New York City. There is a bit of suspense with Kiley who has abilities she is hesitant to tell others about. There are two mysteries happening in the story and both are equally engaging. I will leave that for you to ponder while you are reading Extended Flight

The Case of Missing Books is the sixth novel in the Summer McCloud series by Nikki Broadwell. This is my third novel by this author.
The title definitely caught my attention as I love reading. And I haven’t read any mysteries involving books. It made me wonder what the books were.
Summer McCloud is having hard time juggling so many things at once. Not only does her husband bring up the thought of a baby, a supernatural being in taking all of Summer’s clients. Also, she has a mystery to solve involving missing books. What do this books contain and why would someone steal them?
While this is the sixth novel in this series, this is my first novel in the series I have read. I didn’t feel very confused but I was interested in starting over from the beginning.
I recommend this to anyway looking for a paranormal mystery to read. I felt it was a great addition to the story.

“Happily. Ever After?” is the sixth book in the Italian Saga by GB Amman. Leda is an intelligent young woman with high academic aspirations. She tries so hard to juggle her interests in life, volleyball, friends, her band, schoolwork and Sergio. As with any driven student, school is her priority and Sergio just doesn’t understand. They love each other, but is it enough? Leda seems to question her relationship with Sergio every step of the way, and my heart ached for the poor girl. She goes through so much in this book, with so many changes and issues that pop up, it’s a wonder how she keeps it all together! I don’t want to give away details, but this book was beautiful in its description of the places Leda goes, but hard to read with what she goes through. However, Leda is resilient and tougher than she seems to some and she proves it in this book! Relationships are messy and “Happily. Ever After?” shows that. Fingers crossed for Leda as I wait for the seventh book! I give “Happily. Ever After?” four stars! Reviewed by @emilybee430

Age of Saints was an excellent read, full of action and with great characters. I was hooked from the very beginning. The author’s writing was engaging and full of wonderful descriptive language. The flow and pace of the story were great. I really enjoyed the storyline and it kept my interest throughout – I found myself to having to keep the pages turning so that I could find out what was going to happen with Conall. I did feel sorry for him, everything he seemed to do just went wrong. I really enjoyed reading about him. Age of Saints is a richly detailed fantasy story that I would absolutely recommend! I look forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

I really like this author and have read many books by her so I was really looking forward to reading this new one from her and again it was a really enjoyable read. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first read the title and blurb which was great, I love going into a book not knowing what is going to happen. There were some good twists in the story and my attention was definitely captured from the beginning. I really liked the main character, Vee. She had had a touch start in life but I admired her strength and her tenacity in going after what she wants. The Woman America Loves a Latte was a great read one that I really enjoyed! I look forward to reading more from Holly Tierney-Bedord again in the future.

Little Do You Know (Bayou Devils MC Book 5) by A.M. Myers is another fantastic addition to this already great series and is one of my favourite MC series. I absolutely loved the previous books, and was waiting with baited breath for this book. As usual A.M. gave me everything and more. I never have to second guess if I will like the story because I know I will be in safe hands. You really should read the books in order as the characters all crossover and they are all lovable and I adore them all. The family bond, the love they have for each other means they will stop at nothing to have each others back and then some. I love the alpha men and the women they love so fiercely. The camaraderie, the banter and wit make me laugh out loud but my heartaches with all that they go through during the bad and my heart melts when they go through the good. This story is soooo emotional that it had me sobbing and on the edge of my seat at all our main characters Noah and Kady had to go through. A.M once again shows her talent in being able to write something that evokes so much emotions. Trust me you will not be disappointed when you read one of her books. She is a must on any book listing.
