A great read about fate. Theodora thinks she has it all happy in a new marriage with Sam. But fate deals her a hand when she feels ill and accidnelty finds her soul mate. Lyzander has a busy schedule as head boss of vampires and no time for a soul mate. But when fate deals him a hand in Theodora, will he take a chance of push her away? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Theodora standing up for herself but struggling with a new world or Lyzander harsh exterior but kind underneath. I loved how the story started straight into the action with the fight scenes. I loved the different take on vampires with their souls and soulmates adding to the vampire genre. I loved the mix of fantasy with vampires and then realism of the business world and party scenes combined together beautifully. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars

What an incredible start to a new series from author Manda Mellett. This read, Paladin’s Hell is book 1 in the Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter and boy oh boy has it been an rollercoaster ride from start till finish. This author has an amazing writing style that pulls you in from the very beginning with the twists and turns, the danger, suspense and action throughout, You will be on the edge of your seat with the incredible plotline and amazing characters that bring passion, romance and an amazing connection.
With this being my first read from this author, I didn’t know what to expect, but I knew I would enjoy it just for the pure fact it was an MC Novel, but this author has opened my eyes to her writing and I can’t wait to see what else she does. To make this read even better Manda Mellett, has written it in dual POV’s from various characters which make it even better to understand each character, their actions, their feelings. Jayden & Paladin’s story is real, raw, painful and a rollercoaster, but that being said they are connectable, real and strong but can their relationship and connection survive the ups & downs they are about to face?
This is a definite must read, that shouldn’t be missed! I can’t wait for the next one!

Life is definitely not better under the rule of the new emperor. Wren and her few friends are forced to flee Maradis. In her search for Lucas, she manages to gather an alliance with some new and old friends. They need to take back their city but the craziness has upped a notch putting her life at stake yet again. Will Wren be able to survive or will the evil finally win?
There were so many heart stopping moments in this book. You didn’t know who to trust. With many twists and turns, the author kept you on the edge of your seat. Like any war, there were losses and people had to make sacrifices. Some of them saddened me while others shocked me. This was an amazing conclusion to the Confectioner Chronicles. Though the ending satisfied me, I was a little upset. I enjoyed this series so much that I was sad to see it end. Thank you Ms Luana for bringing this world and these characters to life.

The Lies We Tell was a great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning and didn’t stop until I was done.
I’m Natalie Conner, and I’m a liar.
Natalie is a writer, we start in the very beginning with her as a runaway bride, leaving Jack behind. We then jump ahead to her at a party where she meets a hot british man, Collin who is also a writer and wants to be friends. We then jump ahead three years, she is now married to the brit and wondering where her life changed so much.
He doesn’t know he just fell in love with the queen of running
We continue to jump from past to present We get to see just how the relationship developed and how they got to where they were and where Natalie’s journey takes her from there. There are twists and turns and people from the past come back into Natalie’s life.
My emotions were all over the place. We get hot sex scenes, LOL moments, a huge betrayal, and so much more. My heart went out to Natalie and what she had to deal with. Up until the epilogue I wasn’t sure how this was going to end and I have to say I was surprised with where Jack, Natalie, Tabatha and Collin ended up in their lives. I was pulled right in by Brittany Butler’s writing and I look forward to reading more from her.
Surviving Jordan by Virginia Wine is the third book in the Surviving Series. This book can be read as a stand-alone but it would be advisable to read them in order to get the full level of detail. For me this has been the best book of the series so far. It was interesting – full of secrets and intrigue. The author captured your attention effortlessly and immediately and keeps you immersed in the story all the way through. I love how she develops her characters and the story, in both this book and the series. This is a brilliant series and one I would truly recommend.

This is the second book in the series and I have to admit that I was just as drawn in to this one as I was the first. I quite like the otherworldly tone to the book. The author has quite a unique world and style in which the reader is drawn into the world like you are there as it the drama unfolds.
I really felt drawn to Lara and her character. As the drama unfolds for her I was eager to see what would happen next. The drama unfolds in this world and I was going through all the emotions and drama as Lara went through it. I really like how the author was able to tie this book into the first and I cannot wait to be able to read more from this author and the series.

The Crazy Yates by Kimberly Packard is a heartwarming short story. This book will draw you into the characters and have you invested in them in no time at all. Callie is a girl who just needs a break. But will she be able to find one? Not only Callie but her whole family is one that you cannot help but fall in love with. A great read about growing up. Lara is a reckless and daring young girl. As a feathered folk, she seeks to protect her dying forest from invaders but never takes it seriously. When her master suddenly goes missing, Lara sets out to find her, thinking it will be like one of the great quest narratives she loves to read. But the world is full of surprises and dangers Lara never knew. existed. Can she survive it all and find her master? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Lara as bold and daring but vulnerable and childlike underneath or the master as the stern mentor figure. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel with the sense of destruction with the burnt out trees and dead grass and ash with memories of what was there like the pink lake or the fresh wind for a sense of loss. And the wonderful magical sense of the mist and the moon later on for Lara as a source of unexpected happiness. I loved the sense of the bildungsroman narrative as we watch Lara grow up and find her way through thinga. This along with the childlike nature of discovery and adventure was beautifully written. I also enjoyed the metanarratives with Lara’s vivid sense of imagination and were poignant in how reality can be harsher. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

This is the final installment of the series and boy i wasn’t disappointed. The whole series has been phenomenal it’s kept me completely captivated throughout with all it’s twists and turns certainly keeps you on your toes. I was eager to read through the chapters and there was time i was in complete surprised what happens it certainly took me on one mega adventure one i was sad to see end. Be prepared to be so engrossed that reality becomes a distant memory you just get sucked in and be able to picture yourself there which is great when your trying to escape real life this novel is defiently a great distraction!

This was a great anthology with some fantastic stories – there is definitely something for everyone here in this collection. The two stories from this anthology that I am reviewing are Foxxy’s Christmas by Allyson R Abbott and A Kiss Under a Blue Christmas Moon by Tamara Ferguson.
Foxxy’s Christmas – Allyson R Abbott This wonderful author never fails to entertain me with her wonderful writing and Christmas stories! I have read quite a few by her and I love them all. After I have finished reading them I always feel all warm and fuzzy inside and this one was no exception. The characters in the story were great and I could feel the wonderful connection that they had.
A Kiss Under a Blue Christmas Moon – Tamara Ferguson I love a second chance romance story and one set at Christmas is always going to be a winner for me and this story was just that! I loved every second of it. I have read a few stories by this author and she never fails to drag me on into her stories straight away and she always creates characters that I instantly fall in love with.

Fatal Legislation: Karina Cardinal Mystery Book 2 by Ellen Butler 4 out of 5 stars
This book stars with a bang. I love a really good mystery and this book delivers. This second installment in the Karina Cardinal series is just as good as the second. We see characters from the first novel and we are introduced to characters who are specific to this novel. When Karina becomes the main suspect in the murder of a senator, she launches into her own Nancy Drew style of investigation to figure out who could be behind the murder of a Washington Senator and why they are trying to frame her. I won’t go into to many more details as I feel it will give away too much of the book, but if you are fans of John Grisham, and Nancy Drew/Hardy Brothers investigation, you will love this book.

I love this author so I was really excited to see that she had a new chapter of one of my favourite series coming out and it did not disappoint at all! She never fails to get my hooked into her stories within the first few pages and I know I am going to fall helplessly in love with her characters. The way the author has chosen to write this from a multiple point of view I honestly thought I was going to be confused but I wasn’t at all – it was really easy to follow and I felt like I got to understand all of the characters so much better. I got to see deeper into their friendships/relationships and feel the connections that they had. I think this definitely has to be my favourite book by this author so far and if you have read any of the Satan’s Devils stories then you will 100% love this new spin off series! I can’t wait for more!!

This was a short read about some really lovely characters. It didn’t take me long at all to get in this story and I really loved Callie. I could honestly feel that she had the weight of the world on her shoulders with everything that she had to do around the house and everything that she had been doing for her family for so many years. At times I easily forgot how young she actually was. It was pretty clear how much Callie’s family meant to her and so she did everything she could to try and support them in their time of need. I loved that the magic of Christmas shone through in this story and at a time where Callie really needed it! The ending to the story was really sweet and I would absolutely love to read more about this family again in the future.
I finished this book yesterday and had to let my mind process what I read before I wrote this review. This is my second book by this author and I think I have some of the same feelings as after finishing the first one I read. Definitely a great mystery involving some of the characters in this story and even though it had a whirlwind romance involved, the way it was written made it feel very real, not forced.
I lost my mother-in-law a few years back and our relationship was never the greatest since I took her youngest of 7 sons, it still made me wish I could hug her by the time I finished reading this story. I guess the only seriously confusing part was, why in the heck did it take Victoria so long to make the decisions she made. I wouldn’t have lasted a day!
I’m not going to go into any detail regarding this story..You have to read it to truly appreciate it, and I can absolutely see this book becoming a made for TV movie. The ending had me wanting to scream, throw my kindle, and cry all at the same time.
This author has become someone I look forward to reading. She messes with your mind and you don’t even realize it is happening while your reading. I Love That.
Can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next!

Hope’s Defeat (The Fated Book 3) By Angela McPherson
I have loved this series from the beginning and this final book was no exception. This story has everything in you want in a good fantasy, there’s action, magic, suspense, romance, and so much more. This book had me on the edge of my seat through most of the story. I cannot get enough of Trinity and Blain, I am so sad to see it come to an end. The author did an amazing job really connecting you to the story so that you feel invested as these characters grew and wrapped it up nicely. You really need to read the first two books in this series before this one because it all comes together as your reading. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this book and this series as a whole except to say that you must read it!! I highly recommend this book you will not be disappointed, this is a 5 star read for me!!

My favorite book in this series! I love how this author can pull me into the story with ease and make me feel as if I am part of the story. This is Ben and Jordan’s story. Their story is full of romance, secrets and suspense. Their feelings for each other are real but when Ben starts backing off, Jordan questions if there is a future. Will Jordan move on or will the truth let them have their future? Great characters with great chemistry. I highly recommend this book.

This is my first book by this author. It is creative, engaging and fast reading. She does a great job going back and forth between present and past without getting me lost. Natalie has a new life but she can’t hide from her past and now choices have to be made. Will she learn that sometimes you have to go back before you can go forward? She is a strong character, she made me feel compassion for her, it is her life and one she can’t make up. I highly recommend finding out what happens to her.
Paladin’s Hell is the first book in the Satan’s Devils Colorado Chapter series. Even though this story could be a standalone, I recommend reading books in the previous Satan’s Devils series to get more connected to the characters this book mentions. You’ll have a much better time understanding the club environment shift from Arizona to Colorado.
Even though this book didn’t grab me right away like other Satan’s Devils books I’ve read, it still turned out to be a pretty good read. It starts out a bit slow, but picks up the pace toward the middle and things get good. As with the other books I’ve read in the MC series, Paladin’s Hell deals with some heavy subject matter and may contain triggers for some people.
This book is kind of a bonus in that you get two stories in one. There is the main story of Paladin and Jay, but you also get to know the Colorado club president and his wife and how they ended up together. And for me, in some ways I felt like their story overshadowed Paladin and Jay’s a bit. It is so intense.

When someone drops dead right in front of her, Karina just can’t help jumping in with both feet to solve the mystery and get some answers. These FBI and police should just thank their lucky stars she’s so snoopy, because she really is helpful. I mean, she does land herself in some trouble along the way, and she makes me laugh. This was fast paced and I didnt want to put it down. Such a fun read. I really got lost in the story.

5 out of 5 stars Wow Awakening of a Soul Keeper is the prequel to the Soul keeper series written by Ms. Dubh is amazing and my first read by her. I love these kind of series and this book intrigued me so I had to read this book and I was glad that I did. The characters are amazing especially since all of the crap they are going through. I love the quirks these characters have and the storyline is amazing. Theodora is thrust into a dangerous world of powerful beings and surrounded by treachery, lies and violence, when she accidentally discovers not only is her husband’s boss a vampire, but she is also his soul keeper and fated mate.
Lyzander is the leader of all vampires the last thing needs or wants is his soul. With so much on the line he can’t afford to be anything but vengeful and Theodora’s presence jeopardizes everything he is.
Now forced to stick close to her unwanted mate, Theodora struggles to keep hold of her sanity and her marriage as she discovers who and what she really is. This book had me hooked, and I can’t wait to dive into the rest of this series, that and… This powerhouse read ends on a powerful cliffhanger… So I need me the next book in this series. This story does a lot of bouncing around. I was confused multiple times about which present or past we were In. The past and the present seemed to be very similar sometimes. Other than that….once I got going and Into the story it was riveting. I couldn’t stop reading or figure out which way things were going to end. I was shocked more than once over the turn of events. Certain characters had me liking them one minute…then not liking them the next. This is a first time author for me. I am glad I picked this up and look forward to more from her. She engaged me and made me have differing opinion of the same characters. The story made me think. How long should grudges be held? They are not healthy but sometimes it’s hard to let things go. Natalie seems to do this fairly well but struggles in other areas. She tends to run away. But is that really solving the problem?

The Lies We Tell by Brittany Butler is one storyline that I did not know what to expect. It was told in the past and the present and at times I wasn’t sure which was which but it had me intrigued and I was unable to stop until I had devoured it all. The character Natalie is all over the place but she had me in fits of laughter. I am not sure I wanted to live inside her head. She’s a runner but the one thing she wants is the one thing we all want. Many times she is forced to face her feelings when she doesn’t want to but the ultimate betrayal maybe the best thing to happen to her.

As I read the story, she became someone that I could empathize with as issues have come forward in her life that is unexpected. I found myself caring about what happens to Natalie and wanted her to find happiness. My emotions went up and down the entire time that I read the book. I enjoyed reading the dialogue/interactions between Natalie and the other characters in the story. What does the future hold for Natalie? Read this book to find out. The story is told from Natalie’s and other character’s POV. As the book progresses, I found myself with a better understanding of each character’s feelings and views of what is happening. It is a story that is intriguing and pulled me in from the very beginning. The book has a smooth flow to it and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. It is a story I would recommend for others to read.

Hope’s Defeat is book three in the Fated series by Angela McPherson. It continues with Trinity, Blain and crew fighting to save the world and mankind. This story is so far from what I read on a regular basis, it makes my heart happy to read each word. The dramatic and ever present danger and violence just adds to the appeal and I always have to read this author’s work in one go.
As usual, the writing is so captivating, so ethereal, it draws a reader into this world and the experience is so unique, you are left wondering if that really happened. The lines are blurred between fantasy and reality. The escape into these stories is entire and solid. Nothing much else exists except these characters and their journey. Oh, and coffee to heighten the experience even more. Reading this story made me really happy and it is a book that is well worth a reread. 5 stars.

I’ve always had a crazy imagination and I loved writing. So, I started writing Forever Careless to see if I had it in me. It was too much fluff for me, however my friends loved it. So, I published it. I wrote another, this time I pushed to boundaries of “fluff.”
One day, while in a very bad mood, I thought of a story without a happy ending; one with real problems and real people. A story that was very close to my heart. It nagged me constantly. Months later, I sat down and started Hazed. At first, he was going to be a part of the Forever Series. Just come in and wreck their lives. Instead, I went another route.
Only weeks later, Hazed was finished. I was obsessed with it. It took me over a year to finish my first novel and weeks to finish this one. I knew what that meant. I liked to write about bad people who do bad things. I like to get inside their minds and feel their crazy. So, if you’re looking for hearts and flowers, you won’t find them here. Two weeks after the events of the second novel, Wren and her group are exploring new lands.
Going through a period of self-doubt, Wren has to come to terms with her previous bad decisions. She feels the weight of her loss and wonders what to do next. She has been a character that I have really enjoyed reading about. Her growth over the course of the three books has been amazing to read with me rooting for her and wondering how this story will end.
Wren has made a lot of decisions but now she has to pull herself together in order to save Alessa.
I can’t describe in words how this novel has made me feel. Feeling a maelstrom of emotions and sad to see this end but it was a satisfied ending.
For anyone looking for something new to read with an amazing premise and relatable characters, I highly recommend this.

The Memory of Us written by Lisa Sorbe. This is a cute second chance story about Laney and West. There’s a lot of push and pull with their relationship and with everything that happened in the past. Laney is a little hard to get to know as a character but the more into the story the more you start to understand why. West on the other hand is pretty open about certain things especially when it comes to messing with Laney and getting her to open up. But once every thing is out in the open will thing work out like they should have or is there too much in their past for them to move forward with a new relationship…

The Only Series by Bree Kraemer is a set of five books and what a gre as r series this is. I have had the pleasure of reading other books by Ms. Kraemer in the past and she hasn’t disappointed me yet. There are several hot moments throughout the series that will leave you fanning yourself. We meet several great characters who all face different challenges while falling in love.
Only By His Touch was my favorite of the five though I loved each one of the stories so much this one got to me and I think that is because strength Samantha has and shows when life decided to knock her down then kick several times while she is down. She come out on the other side stronger than everyone realized, including herself.
Only With Trust is Michelle’s story. She has been burned many times in the past and has serious trust issues due to that. She is afraid to give her heart and rightfully so but in the end the heart wants what the heart wants no matter when the brain says.
If Only is Colin’s story and I think of the guys he ended up being my favorite with Steve a very close second. His family has a history with love that not a lot of people can say they have and it slams into him the moment he sees her. Why the brain seems to shut down once a guy falls in love I will have no idea.
Only You is about Sophie getting her happily ever after, after heartbreak and watching her friends find their someone special. Sophie broke my heart a little bit and I just wanted to hug her and make it better.
In Only For Love we finally get to find out about Gretchen and see the scars she carries from her childhood. Running will not fix anything and I wish I could have told her that.
Each one of these stories touched me in a different way and saw a little piece of myself in each one of the women. Great series.
