Hope’s Deceit by Angela McPherson a four-star read that will give you hope. This is the second novel in the Fated series and I would recommend that you read them in order as this one picks up after the first one Hope’s Decree. This was just as thrilling and fast paced as the first and leaves me with much anticipation of the third, I really can’t wait. We get to see more about the prophecy and the twists and turns that I have come to expect from this author, the good thing is that even thought there are lots of twists and turns the story does keep you hooked and you don’t lose the plot with it.

Only This Tuesday is a Copper Mills Novella by Melissa Keir. I had never read any of this author’s work previously and was very impressed by this novella. Often in novella’s there’s just not enough time to fully develop the characters but Melissa Keir did a fantastic job in creating some amazing characters, from the 2 main characters Tuesday and Blake, to the adorable secondary character Gil. Tuesday is a wonderful, caring woman who is starting a new life in a new area, running a food truck called Tuesday’s Tacos. She has a very inclusive attitude and offers Gil, who has learning difficulties a job. Blake is the local mayor who loves the local community and will do everything to help the area prosper. When a complaint I made about Tuesday hiring Gil, Blake steps in to sort out the friction. There is an instant attraction between Tuesday and Blake. The chemistry between them is sizzling. I really loved this story and devoured it in a few hours. My only disappointment is that this book is a 120 page novella. I could have read more and more about these fascinating characters.

The Changeup is book six in the Resort Romance series by Mary Billiter. This author always goes that bit further when releasing the next story in a series. It is evident the work that goes into making the next book edgier, racier, more dramatic, more soulful, more arousing. Engaging with each character is unique with each addition.
Each story affects me differently. Each story makes me feel varied emotions. A LOT of emotion. Rebel and Ryan provided entertainment, love, humour, intrigue and never ending theatrics. All these characters take a little piece of my heart when the final word is read, and these stories are ones I cherish. 5 stars.

Omg this book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time!!! There was danger and action throughout the entire story. I could not put this book down until I found out what happened. The author did an amazing job making me feel like I was right along for the ride. I became completely invested in the main characters Rafe and Charlie. I haven’t read the first two books in this series and I was able to follow along with it any trouble, but now that I have read this book I am absolutely going to go read the first two. This is the first book I have read by this author and I am so glad I did because I can’t say enough great things about this book, it was riveting and the attention to detail was awesome. I highly recommend this book.

This was a sweet read. There was heat, but it was also a fast-paced love story. Tuesday (cute name) runs a taco truck and has a huge heart, but her good deeds get twisted by Blake’s malicious ex. I appreciate how close knit the town is and the feel of it all. I love their connection and their meet cute story. I read this in one sitting and I’d read more about couples in this town for sure.

The perfect anthology for Christmas! This romance collection hits all the right notes with the hometown themes and sweet romance thrown in to the mix. The collection provides tales from six authors and they lend themselves to each other well. Each story was heartwarming and relatable and just felt perfect for a fire, couch, cup of good cheer, and Christmas decorations. Just completely heartwarming. Loved it!

I give The Moon in Her Eyes: a witch’s tale by Nikki Broadwell, 4 stars.
Emeline is a witch that can time travel, among other things. She is happiest living in 1694 among her Indian tribe with her husband. But when circumstances arrive, she finds she must leave. Travelling make to current times, she finally meets more witches and learns more about just what she can do. But there is so much more going on than just her troubles. The timelines are being altered. Who is doing this and why? Will she be able to get back to the husband she loves?
I would describe this as a fantasy time travel book. There is much just back and forth in time and places. There is quite a bit going on in this story. There is danger every where Emeline looks. She and her friends are trying to make things right again. But there are others opposed to this. And just who can she trust? I have never read anything like this before and while it was a little difficult for me to follow at first because I am new to time travel books, I quickly fell into the story and was right there beside her. She had to make extremely difficult decisions, but it shows her humanity.
I quite enjoyed this book and happily recommend it.

This story combines mystery (solving a murder) and romance. The main characters are Rebel and Ryan. They have great chemistry that really pulled me into the story. Rebel is brave and tries to do the right thing. However, she can be frustrating. Ryan is patient and driven. He was my favorite character. The supporting characters were great! I recommend this story.
I love reading Anthologies, and Cowboy: Claimed was definitely not an exception. My favorite thing is the fact that you get multiple little short stories that warm your heart. I loved experiencing this particular anthology, because of the fact that it’s about cowboys – I mean, what girl doesn’t love cowboys?!! Anyway, I loved experiencing every individual author and their writing style! This was a definite 4 Star!
Let’s go to Mexico! Filler does another masterful job weaving a fast-paced and exotic tale with relatable characters and tantalizing plot points. Filler is fast becoming a favorite author. She sets the mood and the pace quickly and engages the reader immediately. I cannot wait to read the next book as well as read this book again. Definitely recommended!

Hometown Heroes: A Christmas Anthology is a great set of holiday themed stories. These include: Courtship and Courage by Carrie Dalby, When Time Stood Still by Chelsi Arnold and JD Boudreaux, Hobbes House Noel by CJ Petterson, Talking in Code: A Christmas Homecoming by E.A. Hale, and Safe Haven by Jolie St. Amant. I personally love anthologies, always a new author and something I may not have previously read. That is absolutely the case here. I enjoyed each of these stories. In these holiday themed stories, the magic just flowed freely – it felt right, it felt real, and it was divine! This is definitely a treat that you need to taste.

A Pink Christmas Kiss written by Allyson Abbott is book three in the Christmas Kiss Series. This is Billie and Leroys story and it’s a cute one. They were highschool sweethearts and then Billie decided she wanted to move to make a name for herself, only after being gone for 5 yrs it didn’t work out the way she had planned. After moving back and taking over her father’s shop Billie and Leroys have a few run in and secrets start to come out as to why Leroy didn’t leave with Billie. This story is a second chance romance and I loved Billies friend Lucy also she added a nice spin to Billies personality. With everything going on can they rekindle their old relationship and work through the issues they created when Billie left.

The Killmores by Martha Sweeney is a five star novel. I loved how this novel followed up Killmore nicely, I only did not like how close the titles are to each other because I kept thinking that it was only one novel and not two. It is a must to read these in order. We meet Laurie and Aiden in the first novel along with several bad guys. As Laurie and Aiden find their way in the world moving every couple of weeks, Laurie is determined to not let her past catch up to her. She never thinks she is safe. She convinces Aiden to keep moving with her even though he thinks it is just her paranoia kicking in. Little do they know that her nightmares are soon to materialize and now they both need to figure out how to make it back to each other. Review by @julie-lounello

In A Pink Christmas Kiss we get to read about a strong female lead and her first love. The story line moves quickly, the friendships are solid and the plot line is well developed. Also, what is not to like when a book has a candy pink car and a sweet sweet car.

Eastern Shore Swingers Books 1-3 is the first boxed set in the series by Phoebe Alexander.
The first book is Fisher of Men and of the three, I think this was my favorite but I’m not sure why since I loved all of them.
There was just something about Leah and Cap’s story that grabbed me. Not sure if it was the sweet girl from Nebraska meeting the older experienced man from the East Coast or just learning a little about the lifestyle which I really don’t know much about.
The Catch is the second book and in this one we meet Calvin and Paisley. What older woman hasn’t checked out a younger man and let her imagination wander?
Nothing in life is easy and poor Paisley sure didnt have the easiest of lives. She deserves happiness because shes earned it. And Calvin, oh yum. He is a good guy from a good family and knows what he wants.
The third and final book in this set is Siren Call. In this book we have Jessie and Sirena.
Jessie is a local police officer who spends time at the club, she sees Sirena and falls. But things aren’t always what they seem, especially with Sirena.
This story was fascinating to me, I haven’t read any F/F before or if I had it wasn’t very memorable. The way it was written really wasn’t any different from your standard M/F romance which I loved. Yes, when they were intimate it was a little different but overall it really just proved that love is love.
I have enjoyed everything I have read by Ms. Alexander and I hope that continues.

Hope’s Deceit was a great 5 star read and book two in the Fated series.
We pick up shortly after the end of Hope’s Decree. After the betrayal the watchers are starting to make plans. Blain helps Trinity find her calmness and them as a couple it felt right, they seemed to work much better together.
Lesson number one: Don’t assume things, even if that assuming involved my beautiful Watcher boyfriend. Lesson number two: Never rely on what seemed to be correct.
Trinity has stepped up and is determined to prove herself and be part of the battle. Her mother of course is protective of her, especially when she gets sick because of thought-overload.
“I’ll fight for us. Always.”
I don’t want to give away too much, just know that there is so much going on in this great read. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was coming next. I loved all of the secondary characters. I had a lol moment at the Twilight reference from Crystal. And the ending, all I can say is Wow, how can it end like that? I want more. I look forward to the next book in the series.

I was so so so excited when I found this book, I read Primogenito quite a while back and of course loved it as with any book by this author and when I found this one and then realized it was the prequel I was even more thrilled. To write a story that goes back before the brilliance of Primogenito and getting to know these people a little more and understanding how this story started was genius. This author continues to amaze me and I absolutely can not say enough about how much I love her stories and how she forms the storylines.
This one was nothing short of heart breaking and I held my breath a few times and felt some deep rooted anger that had me wanting to crawl into my kindle and show a few people what they could do with their protected secrets!! The emotions that were portrayed in this story made them feel so so real because they weren’t just written they were formed with the greatest care and I felt as close to understanding how these people were feeling as I possibly could.
I just don’t know how to put in words my love for this author’s writing, even if some of the things she writes are so very hard to read she does it in a way that you can tell she thought about her readers as she wrote her words.
I HIGHLY recommend this and every book this author has, I became a forever fan after the first book I read by her and that continues to be the case.

This box set was a lot of fun. Each author brought something different to their stories. They were all short reads. I didn’t really like one over the other. I think that all the characters were well developed for the length of the stories. One story even had a little mystery in it lol. I did enjoy imagining the southern accents. In Snow Birds Springs by Cheryl Gorman the author shows us the power our minds and heart hold. The character suffers a great loss but gains a cowboy in return. I liked that the stories gave you a taste but pulled back to make you want more. Plus who doesn’t want a cowboy?

This second book continues to follow Aiden and Laurie as they deal with the devil. Action packed and addictive I could not put this book down. Such amazing characters and an excellent storyline. I loved how everything played out. I was shocked by several things with the storyline that I didn’t expect but I absolutely loved it. I do recommend that you read the first book in this series since it ties in with it. I don’t think it would have made since on some things had I not read the first. Great book!

A Second Chance (The Powder River Pack #1) By Brooke May Rated 3 stars
The actual story is very enjoyable. The whole wolf and mate thing is perfect. The characters are good but there is one who steals the book. Spence! He is a wonderful character. He makes me laugh and want to know more about him. I did enjoy the boys in the pack as well. Their little pow wows with Derek…..priceless.
There are a few things I am not a fan of in this book. I don’t care for the repeats at the beginning of each chapter. I am in the moment and anxious for the story to move forward after the last comment or thought in the previous chapter. I don’t want the brakes applied. I feel it should basically pick up where the last scene left off and let the momentum carry me forward. This type of writing leads me to skipping ahead and being bored. There is also a lot of narrative and too much thinking. I enjoy dialogue so much more. I just didn’t feel a connection to the characters….well maybe Derek. I also was left with a few unanswered questions.
Again this is a good story with a few things i don’t care for. The idea and characters were good and that Spence…he was golden! I enjoy paranormal romance and wolf shifters are my fav. This one just fell flat for me

The Killmores By Martha Sweeney. This book I honestly believe is even better than book one and that one was out of this world good. I highly recommend reading these books in order. I was excited to read this action packed thriller with characters I just head of heels for. I was constantly on the edge of my seat trying to read as fast as possible to see what happens next. The author paints a world that comes alive before your eyes with words. Laurie and Aiden are characters that drag you into their world. I love a strong female character and you definitely get that with this story. I couldn’t put this book down and was definitely up way into the night because I just had to know what happened. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it to anyone! A must read for sure!
Laurie and Aiden are killer power couple. Pun intended. With book one of this series being so good, I had high expectations for the sequel. All in all, Martha Sweeney did a pretty good job. There were bits where Laurie lost faith in herself and it didn’t really sit well with me because she is a total badass and it just didn’t seem to me like that what her character would actually do. It seemed more like drama for dramas sake. Other than that I enjoyed this book immensely. Aiden never treated Laurie like anything other than an equal and there was never any over the top masculinity stunts that I’ve seen all too much of recently. More than anything, what makes a book great is a solid cast of secondary characters and believable villians. The Killmore’s has that in spades!

I have to admit the title of this is odd and I had to wonder how in the world it would be relevant. Mel is having some seriously bad luck this holiday! One thing after another going wrong, a traveler’s worst nightmare, followed by a bunch of mishaps and surprises. But the shining light in it all is the budding romance between her and a completely non English-speaking sweet man. Well, there are two men there to help her out and it’s tough for her, confused and floundering in a strange country at Christmas. But the end is so holiday happy, over the top, happy ever after. Full of all things Christmas joy.

Another fantastic book in this series. This one picks up where Hope’s Decree finishes. The author holds back no punches with this story. It is action filled from beginning to end. We meet a slew of new watchers who add an interesting dynamic to the story. There are some exciting surprises involving Trinity’s father and her friends. There are gripping twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The author starting building the tension from the start, leading to the climax of the final battle. What an ending to the book! I wanted to scream.
I highly suggest that you read the first book before this one. Not only will you understand who and what everyone is but because this series is amazing. Ms. McPherson, please hurry up with the third book because I can’t wait to read it!

Cowboy: Claimed is a collection of stories by various authors all with the theme of cowboys running through them.
The box set consists of six books following various heroines and Hero’s with each having a unique writing style and different feel to each story. I was not sure what this anthology would be like as I have not read any of the authors included, but I love each story.
My favourite story out of the collection was:- Cowboy kind of Forgiveness by Becca Turner. The story involves the lives of Everly and Swift and the tragic circumstances which have thrown them together. Everly is grieving the loss of her twin brother and blames Swift as he was there to witness the accident. Swift blames himself and can’t get that night out of his head. What happens when tragedy bringing two people together. You will have to read to find out. I loved they was this book was written and with the fast pace of the story it was a brilliant short story.
All these stories are well written and easy to read although the whole set is over 600 pages long each stories covers about 100 pages so yo can fly through them easily. This is a great chance to also sample authors you have not read before and believe me I will be downloading books from these authors so I can read more wonderful stories from them.
Nikki Broadwell has a great handle on all of the subject matters she writes about and this one is no different. This would be considered a thriller, fantasy, magical genre book. The Moon in Her Eyes: a witch’s tale is a great story with vivid scenery and characters. This is the second book and can be a stand-alone story. I did not read the first story A Witch in Time Saves Nine (I am going to reading this book next). This is not my first Nikki Broadwell book and it will not be my last one. Broadwell sets the entire book up as though you are right in the middle of the action. Personally I find myself relating to her characters. Emeline, female main character, is a time traveling witch who can get into trouble if she is not careful. The story does shifts between past and present time (for the story) which could be a bit confusing. Emeline is trying to figure out her destiny, but is going about it all wrong. Will Emeline figure out what is going on so she doesn’t taper too much of the time line?

A great read about not meeting expectations. Mel would do anything for her mother. But when a house full of farm animals awaits her, has she taken on too much? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Mel trying to do her best despite everything or Lucas kind nature but standing up for himself or Domingo’s stubborn side but kind underneath. I loved the use of the Spanish language into the novel which was a brillaint touch to add to the culture and feel of the narrative. Also this with the food by Lucas as display of Spanish culture full of flavour was a lovely touch. I also loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the Christmas tree in the airport or the sense of nature with the orchard with colours and scents and freshness as if you were there too. The only issue I would raise is that there was sometimes time jumps in the narrative that were hard to follow and it seemed slow to start. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

A Pink Christmas Kiss by Allyson Abbott is a sweet story about Christmas and second chances. This is the story of Billie and Leroy, high school sweethearts. Billie wants to make a change, but did not go as planned and she moved back home. She did find out certain things and reasons why Leroy did not go with her. Will they be able to be the way the once were?
The story draws you in from the beginning and the descriptive writing makes you feel as you are right there with the characters. The characters are well developed and very believable. I highly recommend A Pink Christmas Kiss, a great story to read over the holidays.
