Chasing Redemption (The Quimby Grove Series Book 2) by Shannon Nikole. I’m loving this series. This is Max’s story and I loved it. Max met a beautiful lady years ago and they had a one night stand and neither one of them have forgotten each other. They don’t know how to locate each other because they didn’t even get each others names! Marley has continued on with life and has been raising her twins. She can’t get Max out of her mind and no one measures up. When Max sees Marley at a wedding he makes a bee line for her and vows never to let her go again. Marley is nervous because she has a secret she has to tell Max. Will he accept this secret and still love Marley or will he walk away again. This is such a great second chance love story.

After reading book 1 in this series I was really looking forward to this one and I wasn’t disappointed. Again the author transported back in time to 1872 Portugal. I love historical romance reads but for me this series has been so great to read because of the setting – I usually read about London and very rarely anywhere else. The author paints an amazing historical picture with her wonderful words and I loved every minute of what I read. I was looking forward to finding out more about Pedro and I loved his POV chapters, I really felt as though I got to know him and yes I did end up falling in love with him! Anne was a sweet character, she may have been young and a little naive but there was just something about her and I loved her and Pedro together! Overall a great second book in this series and one that I would highly recommend!

I honestly love this author so much, I don’t even bother reading the blurb for her stories anymore as I just know they are going to be amazing and as predicted this book was no different and she definitely upped the ante I this book that’s for sure! Twists and turns galore and I was practically on the edge of my seat the whole way through – there was suspense, romance and w whole lot more! I think for me it was Emelia who stole the show – she was such an amazing character – I absolutely loved her! Fabulous dark read – I cannot wait for more from this author!!

Another smashing story from this series and this author! I loved the passion, the excitement and the actions of these characters. I was enthralled from the first page! Honestly that activity held up through most of the book dazzling me more as the story went on.
I really liked Emelia as she is everything a woman wants to be. I only wish she was a bit older because some of the attitude and fiery passion comes with age. Maybe about 7 yrs older but not a lot. My other only complaint is the overuse of the word “Capiche”. It just felt unnatural with it ending every sentence in the beginning.
Overall a captivating storyline and amazingly well done characters. I look forward to the next in this series.

An entertaining and enjoyable romance, which kept me happily turning the pages. Set at a Malibu beach house, up and coming plus-sized designer Stella has to act as a nanny for a month to a four-month-old baby. The baby belongs to Stella’s older stepbrother Charles, who never even noticed her, but who she had a crush on. Just as Stella thinks she can handle the situation and earn enough money to launch her own fashion line, she learns that as well as Charles, two of her stepbrother’s friends will also be staying at the beach house. After some innocent flirting with both Jordan and Alex it turns into nights of steamy pleasure with them both, whilst Charles watches but keeps his distance. For Charles, Stella is his forbidden little sister, his employee, the hired help, and his nanny. However, the longer Charles resists, the more explosive it will be when the couple give into their taboo fantasies. Stella’s plan is to survive the month and then go back to her life as though nothing happened with the three men, but she doesn’t know what their plan is. The setting in Malibu is brought to life by the descriptive narrative and made me feel immersed in the story. I liked that the heroine of the story, Stella is a plus-sized women, as that is unusual in romance novels. The characters are well defined and their chemistry really sizzled off the page resulting in some steamy scenes, so it’s definitely a book for adult readers.

Dominic and Emelia can’t shake attraction even with the risk. This is a dark mafia romance gave us plenty of twists and turns, suspense, intrigue and steamy moments. I immediately liked Dominic and how he still had a moral code and wasn’t willing to waver on it. Emelia is a strong female that is the perfect match to Dominic. Definitely an enjoyable read.

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. Handle with Care is the first book in the Chase Care Series. I’ve read a couple of the Chase Security books so I know a couple of the characters. This book is an amazing read.
Hunter, a doctor for Chase Security, is losing his mind. His wife is out of town and will be for a while. He feels that she is hiding something from him, but he isn’t sure what it is. When she comes back will he be able to fix what was broken? The quote I chose for Hunter is: “Medical complaints are the most elusive to chase down. I’d rather we overdo than underdo. Keep me posted. Next.”
Selma is running from her past. She doesn’t want to let Hunter know what is going on so she runs. When she gets no response from Hunter she is worried that she broke everything. What will happen when she goes back? The quote I chose for Selma is: “That was when you were created, little one.”

Cute story. I really like the art in this book, and I could see this as a kids show, seeing what Caspian and his Grandpa get up to with their magic wands. It is very creative and fun to read. The vibrant colors and the storyline will draw any kids attention.
You absolutely fall in love with all of the characters in this series! Savage and Dani, Gabe and Skye, Stone and Nora, Storm and Landon, Saint and Caroline, and Byron and Luca are all absolute dream couples. Some finding each other at the lowest moments in their lives, some crashing in like a hurricane, and some moving in after waiting until they finally get their chance at forever.
These books have everything you could possibly want! Steam, a plot that makes you never want to finish the book, and characters that make you want to be a part of their lives. The writing, the excitement, the uncertainty at times makes this a series you do not want to miss!

This is a beautifully written romance sent in Portugal in 1872. It is the second book in The Winemakers series but it can be read as a standalone and still really enjoyed.I can’t express how beautiful the author’s language and story telling in. There is so much emotion put into every page that the reader cant help but feel every emotion along with the characters which makes the story completely captivating. It is a historical romance and the author does an amazing job of transporting the reader back to those times. Our main characters Pedro and Anne seem such an unlikely match at first but as the story progresses we see the same strength and determination in them back.
This story is action packed as Pedro’s past comes back to haunt him and he struggles to make amends for it all. When his marriage to a princess falls through and he is accused of an attempt on the Kings life he is forces to go on the run. Anne is a young sweet innocent girl who just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and finds herself on an adventure with Pedro that she never expected or imagined. She may seem young but inside she had a fire and a determination which makes her a fascinating character to read about. Add to this the fact that she is the sister of something Pedro has had problems with in his past, could their meeting be a coincidence? A way to maybe make amends? Or just another mistake that Pedro could pay for dearly.

Book 1 – Savage Collision This is Savage and Danita’s story. A brilliant start to the series and a great introduction to the Hawke Family.
Book 2 Tortured Skye This is Skye and Gabe’s story. I totally loved Gabe in book 1 and wasn’t sure about Skye – but by the end of this one she had won my heart.
Book 3 Stone Sober Up until now Stone had always been in the background in the previous books. Finally he gets his story and we get more of Nora., Danika’s sister. Their story is intense.
Book 4 Building Storm This is the eldest Hawke daughter, Storm’s story. This cut deep emotionally. We also get to meet Landon and together these two have had their fair share of heartache.
Book 5 Tainted Saint This is Saint and Caroline’s story. Caroline is Danika’s best friend and Saint is a new bouncer at the club. This is their story.
Book 6 Steele Resolve This is Byron, the manager of Savage’s club and Luca “Steele’s” story. It’s an enemy to lovers M/M romance. It’s different, in a good way, to the rest of the series.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this collection. It was fantastically written and my interest was peaked in every book. Highly recommend the whole series and best read in order.

Medical military drama 3,5stars This story follows Hunter and Selma and is well written. The chapters are short and it flicks between past to present in a time lapse fashion to cover backstory. I enjoyed the storyline and characters and there were some intense moments.

Oh my heavens! This is the cutest followup to Finding Starlight. Max and Marley’s story is the sweetest. A one-nighter that brings a surprise four years later. The chemistry is still their and the twins are absolutely adorable. Can’t tell you anymore. You have to read this book. Watching these two work through their relationship is funny and charming and romantic even with parenting issues. The characters, yes, old favorites make appearances, are still as charming and unique, yet just like out of a small town. The storyline feels real and you’ll find yourself relating to. I’ll be adding this to my favorites for 2023. The year is off to a wonderful start!. I can’t wait for the next book.

A Dowry of Snails and Mud is a wonderfully written YA enemies to lovers Medieval Rom-Com that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you finish. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect going in with this being a new author to me and her debut novel but she definitely has a new fan now. This was a very quirky story that had me laughing hard at times. Her style of writing along with her creative characters make the storyline flow. This is about Rhia who finds herself in an arranged marriage that finds each of them are supposed to con the other to get the money. She finds out there is more to her husband than she thought. Can these two get the money the town needs? I highly recommend reading this fun book to find out what happens next I look forward to seeing what this author brings us next.

This book brought out so many emotions. I laughed, cried and boy did I cry. This was a book that hit my emotional core.

Storm is an absolute mess and all the Hawkes are trying so hard to bring her back into the world but it is a stranger that actually gives her moments of peace.
Landon is running from his life in Chicago to make a fresh start. At a BDSM club party he is alurred by Storm and the feelings radiating off of her. The sadness and emptiness make approach her. They are both not looking for anything. She accepts an offer to dance from him and she is shocked to find she smiles and enjoys the moments in his arms.
This is a story of hidden pasts and guilt and so much more.

Handle With Care is the first book in the Chase Care Series by R.L Dunn. It’s a bit of a spin-off from the Chase Security series and is every bit as good as I had hoped it would be. A full-on, action-packed medical/romantic suspense- with danger, mystery, suspense, violence, thrills, agendas, secrets, intrigue, chemistry, sizzle, ….. and soooo much more. I really enjoyed this book as Ms. Dunn wove a complex plot that had me intrigued from the outset. This is a multi-layered story full of clever interconnected details which gives it an unpredictable quality that kept me guessing the whole way through. I am really looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Bring on Book #2! Happy Reading…

They are both tormented as they navigate their feelings for eachother. Gabe is struggling with his mental health due to killing again. He is spiralling. This is a must read as the tangle of his best friend, his sister, and some sinister intentions all mixed around a huge storm heading their way. I could not put this down. On to book 3.

This was a great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning. I felt like I was getting more than one story in this book. Since I work in a hospital it was fun reading about this couple. These two had a great connection and learning about their pasts helped get to know them better. It was great seeing secondary characters from another series. However, the three men at the house are very tempting. She soon finds herself in bed with Jordan and Alex, hoping Charles will want to join. But…there are a lot of things going on behind the scenes that quite problematic. Can they make things work? Or will Stella be leaving after the month is over?
I really enjoyed these characters. I like how Stella believes in herself and is comfortable enough in her own skin to stand her ground when others are out to tear her down. She was going to chase her dream while maintaining her dignity. There were some hot scenes that had me fanning myself. I liked how the characters from other stories made cameos in this book. A fun and sexy read!

4.5/5 stars This is my first read in this series and it’s a great standalone! This book reminds me of a behind the scenes look into how TV shows like Married at First Sight are done. Operation Blackbird is the second book of the Brass Compass series by Ellen Butler. The reader is teleported straight back in time to 1952 with Mirriam as the female lead character whose mission is to help a scientist defect from communist Russia. Unfortunately, things go sideways, and she must find a way to save the family. I was fully immersed in the book from the beginning and could not put it down. I have never read a book that had me on the edge of my seat like Operation Blackbird. If you know someone who loves a thrilling spy book, this is the perfect read for them!

How have I never read a book by Gwyn McNamee until now? Let me just tell you this author is a master at filling her stories with strong, interesting characters along with tantalizing writing that packs an emotional punch and keeps you drawn into the story until the final page. I’m so excited I found this wonderful compilation of all six stories in the Hawke Family Series. You might think six stories is a long read, but as each one brings something completely different, then the next you will be forever engrossed in the lives of these characters. Though this series can be read as standalone books, I recommend reading them together, as some previous characters will make cameos in other books while other characters will even play major parts in their family and friends’ lives, helping us get backstory and connecting them all together nicely.

The Hawke family have a lot going on in their lives which is to be expected as they hail from the never-sleeping city of New Orleans. These siblings and friends face challenges most wouldn’t dream of, especially having to deal with the mob, club dancers, and their own personal conflicts. I love how they cone together for each other no what they are facing and dealing with in their lives.
While I loved all the stories in this series Savage Collision (Book #1) Danika & Savage’s story was definitely my favorite by far. I love that Dani is a strong / confident woman who isn’t afraid of Savage and his need to control pretty much everything. It was nice to see Savage’s vulnerability with his heartbreaking story and how he developed from it. I would love to go into detail about each of these amazing books, but we would definitely be here all day, and I know I would give away too many spoilers. So I’ll just say pick up this series and watch these characters grow and face challenges as they experience passion, love, and hard choices in their lives. Before you start reading, though you want to find a comfy chair, because if your like me you won’t come up for air until several hours later, these stories are just that good and addictive.
