I thoroughly enjoyed reading Tallie’s story from page 1. Right away the story dives into explaining what events transpired in the previous book of the series, that then tie-in-to the continuation of her story. Tallie is in obvious turmoil in the beginning of the story after making her pivotal discovery from the previous book. There is this struggle for Tallie in the beginning, leading her to want to avoid these feelings and situation all together. Through out this story the reader gets to see how Tallie deals with these emotions, all the while trying to uncover where these missing people have gone. This is a suspenseful and well-paced story that I would recommend!

John Sullivan (Sully) has always been different. At just the age of 13 he joined the monastery and became the demon hunter he is today. Starting off as an exorcist. One day a child that they thought was possessed entered the monastery, The demon kept calling John his brother. He baited John to follow him to find out why he is so different from others.

Seven hundred years later, John now goes by Sully but still hunts demons. He is sent on a mission by a bartender named Mick to find a missing co-worker and it sets off a whole slew of things. Sully finds out about his birthright. He is the son of a demon named Asmodeus. Little do they know that he is so much more than just that.

Mick is also so much more than just a basic human being. Mick and Sully will have to work together to stop an incoming war between heaven and hell.

This book was non-stop from start to finish. Action was everywhere. Once one fight ends, another starts. Between the demons trying to kill Sully and an organization claiming to be working with the church trying to take him, he has no time to rest. It made the book hard to put down. It also ended nicely with a cliffhanger to leave room for much much more.

Love Tools is the first book in the Bluestone series by Isobel Reed. This is a lovely heart-warming romance that kind of makes you want to give up everything and go and live in a tiny town and open a shop! When Lily finds out that she has inherited her late father’s estate, that is exactly what she does. With nothing keeping her in London she takes over her father’s little hardware shop and tries to find out more about the man who abandoned her as a child. When Lily meets local rancher Jake, it is hardly love at first sight but when he sets his mind on things it is hard to put him off. This was a lovely romance, looking forward to book 2.

I have read a couple book by this author and I find her to be one of the most inspirational and motivational writers out there. I really like how she is able to uplift your soul and broaden your imagination. The book is full of colourful imagery and words. I found it very motivational and was able to help on my own self journey. I highly recommend this book and this author and will be reading more from her as well.

This is a great book to teach children about ladybugs and their life cycles. It is a fun way to help kids understand how these insects help and protect the environment. Loretta loves her garden and wants it to thrive. After finding ladybugs hiding for the winter, she learns how they protect gardens from harmful insects. For her, it became very important to protect the ladybugs. This is an interesting story with beautiful illustrations that I believe children will love.

This is an enjoyable and entertaining mix of history, fantasy and Greek mythology, which kept me hooked throughout. Having been ripped from his twenty first century life, Evan now finds himself in ancient Greece, fearing that he will never see his home again. For Evan to have a chance of returning home, he needs to collect god-saving sacred relics for his father Zeus. However, locating these relics will not be easy, he will have to brave perilous seas and face death in search of a legendary oracle. During their voyage Evan, along with his companions come across mythical creatures, fabled warriors, and treacherous sorcery. Evan must complete his difficult quest or both he and the gods will be lost to history, but the most deadliest threat may be bound to Evan by blood. Full of drama and suspense this fast paced and action packed epic kept me gripped, I loved the characters and thought Evan was a great hero of the story. I enjoyed the mythic battles, and the unique mythical creatures that Evan encountered. The plot twists kept me happily turning the pages, and the descriptive narrative brought the settings vividly to life.

The epic historical fantasy adventure continues in this third and final instalment of this enjoyable and engaging series. It really is an action packed story, with a great mix of history, fantasy and mythology, all of which had me hooked throughout. Evan and his companions are now entrapped by Antioche, the Amazon Queen and her warriors, as the Dark Master’s victorious revenge over the gods is almost complete. Meanwhile, the High Priestess has failing health making her unable to rescue her brother and her fellow Atlanteans. The only chance they have of stopping the Dark Master’s succession plans is to recover the last sacred relic, which is secreted in the lair of the Minotaur. Evan must continue his journey to the mystical lands of Krete in order for his father, Zeus, to fulfil his promise.
He also has precious gifts given to him by Queen Antioche, both allegiances and memories are tested in this story, but will Evan make it home, and if so what will his future be. The unique settings are brought vividly to life by the detailed and descriptive narrative, making me feel immersed in the storyline. The characters and the mythical creatures also come alive and jump off the page. The added historical details make it obvious this is a well researched novel, and the twists and turns kept the plot unpredictable. This was an entertaining read and one which I recommend, along with the two previous books in the series.

Enthralling mystery from a talented author! This was my first read by this author and it did not disappoint. She crafts a wonderful, page-turner with likable characters.

This is my first by this author and I really enjoyed the main character, Jorja. She is easy to like, relatable, and her personality comes through the pages. The author, through Jorja, takes the reader through the story and draws you in. This murder mystery was full of amazing details and suspense, taking the reader on an amazing, edge-of-your-seat story. Pick this one up and you won’t be disappointed and will easily read it in one sitting. I look forward to picking up the rest of the series!

Historical Romance isn’t a genre I usually read but this was a good one. Bella lost the love of her life so she feels like she will be alone forever. Bella puts her time into making sure her younger sister’s first season is a good one. Bella’s lost love (Thomas)shows up one day, is it too much hope they can have a second chance? There are some secrets that may cause their second chance some trouble. This author did a wonderful job writing a lovely story that kept me turning the pages. This is a must read to find out more about Thomas and Bella, and some other great characters in this story.

This was a great read. Even though this is the fifth book in this series you don’t have to have read the previous books to enjoy this one. I haven’t read the previous books in this series but after reading this book I am definitely going to. This story drew me in and kept me captivated throughout. It was so heartbreaking that so many people treated Adrik the way they did because of his looks. This book has danger, romance, suspense, mafia, and great characters. I won’t give anything away but I will say this is a must read. I highly recommend this book.

I always enjoy a good enemy-to-lovers story. Ella was a firecracker character who is sweet, but a little lost. Jared is an overbearing drummer who doesn’t know when to take his head out of his ass. However, he becomes a character that you could start to love once he settles down and learns to communicate. He has a sweet side, and Ella constantly falls for it.

This is my first book by this author, and historical is not my usual genre, I liked the blurb and cover so dove in. This is book 2 in the series I have not read book 1 and this is a good stand alone, although I feel book 1 would also be a great read.<br />We follow the story surrounding the Brightley sisters; focusing on Arabella, who feels that she has been cursed by someone at the country fair that her and her sisters snuck out to. <br />The middle of 2 sisters, Arabella is the sensible one, the wallflower, the one people take as the easy, simple quiet one. Behind this facade grows an amazing strong willed female who knows what she wants and of the age works hard to get it. <br />Looking after her sister Rosalind and their father, after Charmaine her older sister elopes to marry her Russian Duke.<br />At a time when men ruled the home and expected their women to bend to their will, with an ailing father and a prospective husband missing suspected dead, Arabella continues steadfast to accomplish and look after those she loves, including Thomas.<br />Although Thomas is not who he portrays himself to be, he has a deep story that he is trying to pout right, can he accomplish this before Bella is forced to step away.<br />I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and would read more.<br />

This is a cute book for young readers about a little girl who finds ladybugs while playing in her families yard, and decides to protect them, since it’s starting to get cold outside. Loretta decides to bring the bugs inside to keep them safe until spring, with the hopes that they will help the family’s garden. The problem with this plan is that the bugs wake up once they warm up and start to make a mess of the house. Loretta’s mom has her put them in the fridge to keep them cool until spring when she can release them back into the wild. The problem is, after the initial group of ladybugs, Loretta keeps collecting them until her families fridge is completely full of them. The solution is simple, give them to neighbors! Once spring arrives, Loretta returns the bugs to the wild, and they help the family’s garden to be better than ever. My 8 year old daughter flew through this book, and loved it.

Amaleigha Loves a Good Story is another cute book my kids and I loved reading. She tackles a problem of people from other countries not being able to read in her local library, so she has taken it upon herself to try and solve this problem. Being an avid reader myself, I found a little bit of myself in her all over again. My two kids ages 6 and 10 loved the problem-solving and creative ways that Amaleigha takes on problems. After reading this book, my kids asked to go to our own local library to see what books they can get out for themselves. This book definitely planted a seed of loving books in my kids that I hope will grow!

A sweet romance with lots of feels. The author tries to take you on a voyage of self discovery while Lily also attempts to find out who her father was.

Lily inherited a hardware store from a father she didn’t know. Feeling stuck in her life in London, Lily takes off for rural Montana to see if she can make a go of it and maybe discover who her father was and why he left her. With enough bad break-ups behind her, Lily swears off men while her life is complicated enough with getting the hardware store up, running, and profitable.

Jake is looking for more. He has a heartbreaker reputation in town but that is not who he is. When this brash, golden haired beauty showed up in town, Jake knew that he had found the one. Now he just needed to convince her.

Darling story sprinkled with some great banter (wishing there was more British slang) and some decent laughs. You will get caught up in the characters and want to keep reading the series!

Much Ado About Dying (Guardians of the PHAE Book 2) by Rowan Dillon. This is a fast paced read that picks up right after book 1 so its really best if you read it first. In this edition we follow the same group of people and Roisin and Qacha are in a hospital where Roisin is trying to heal people and Qacha is a patient. The problem is even with Roisin’s powers people are dying left and right and they can’t figure out why. When she tries to tap really deep into her powers and receives help from an Ancient Healing God she has opened up a very bad portal. With Ireland still reeling from the attacks and them not being able to heal people they are worried that they may be outnumbered this time. Will Roisin be able to heal people especially Qacha? With Joel being still held in Phae custody due to the bombing and Anna having ratted him out this may be the end. Read this fast paced read to see what happens. I can’t wait for the next installment.

I found this book to be very cute and intend on reading it to my 5 year old and my 3 year old. The illustrations are very vibrant. The questions about where pirates go, in my opinion, show children how many adventures there are out in the world. I really like at the end of the book though when it asks “ Do they need a vacation when their favorite things are here?” To me this says it’s perfectly okay to be in the comfort of your own home and sometimes that is all the treasure/vacation you need.

Reading this story helped to learn more about ladybugs and their habits. The story is both fun and factual as we journey along with Loretta in her garden and her love of ladybugs. The story is aimed at children aged 4 – 10 in primary (elementary) and one I am sure they will enjoy.
As soon as we had finished this story my grandsons had me on our own garden adventure keeping an eye out for their very own ladybugs.
Ladybugs for Loretta is another good learning story with colourful illustrations finishing out the book nicely.

Paranormal/Supernatural, demons and angels, Heaven and Hell these elements are right up my alley. The book is the first in the brand-new series Heaven and Hell. It is action-packed with Sully a demon hunter at the helm searching for his destiny.
Barb has written a book that delves into places that are new, original and unique and not readily seen in other books of this kind making it that more interesting at the concept. I really liked the complex characters and the way this new world has been woven with many intricate threads.
Mick’s world turned upside down and everything clicked into place the day he walked into her bar. Her destiny was revealed to her. But with secrets and lies, dark and light, demons and angels, will they be able to stay on their path or will they be lost.
This compelling read will have lovers of the supernatural clambering to delve in. I look forward to seeing where this series goes.

Chase and Katarina are interesting characters. After reading the synopsis of the book, and actually reading it, I feel like I’ll need to read the next book in the series to understand them both better. They both have so much backstory that will later be built on, and it leaves an element of mystery for the reader. The characters do an amazing job coping and handling everything thrown at them throughout the story. If you enjoy series that build on the previous books, this is definitely a story that I would recommend. If you don’t, I truly believe you’re missing out.. haha

This is the first in the series; and the first book I have read by this author. It was a little slow to start, but by mid book I was well and truly hooked. I felt that the author was a little uncomfortable writing the sex scenes, especially initially, but it did improve the further I got into the book. I felt that the language used in the sex scenes didn’t match the rest of the book – just my opinion though.

Overall, this was a good book and I will definitely read the next book.

Freedom Rings by Brenda Hardwick is the 3rd book in The Circle book series. I advise reading the first 2 books first. This story is a nicely written good versus evil story that beautifully touches on modern-day issues in a fantasy-type setting. Soroya is the new leader of The Circle. She is bringing the group back together with a plan to take them on the offensive in a world where people are being targeted for removal because of the color of their skin. I really enjoyed this story. It has multiple point-of-views which I usually dislike, but which worked beautifully in this story. The characters are well-written and Shawn and his company are very good antagonists. This book grabs hold of you and does not let go until the very end.

Wonderful kids book. The pages are beautifully done, I think they really inspire creativity and imagination. The story is fun for kids, imagining what pirates really do on a day to day basis. I feel like the rhyming also helps hold kids’ attention. Very well done.

This is the 2nd book in what has started a fantastic series and I really can’t wait for more of it. Until I read the first book in this series I had never heard of this author but I can surely say that I will definitely read more of their work and recommend them to others as this is a really great book that had me gripped and entertained from start to finish,
Royce Viktorsson and Michelle Yates had been friends for years as part of a group of friends that includes the main couple from the first book in the Waterfyre rising series. When Michelle has to travel to Iceland for work for the blog she writes her and Royce become closer.
This book definitely has the feel of a romantic suspense which is a genre that I adore. With Royce suffering many unfortunate mishaps at work and Michelle coming under attack the couple are forced together to fight the enemy.
I really enjoyed Royce and Michelle’s story. It is so much more than a contemporary romance. There is a great deal of drama, danger and intrigue that kept me totally gripped to the storyline and wanting to read more and more. The story flowed very well and the characters are so well written that you can really relate to them.
100% recommend.

Carl and Mira are siblings and as we all know there is a love-hate relationship between them. Just as we all did with our siblings. Carl loves building sand castles, while Mira loves breaking them apart. The stronger the castle Carl makes. Mira must find another way to destroy it. This is just another example this author has written to involve the children. This story has so much to give to siblings and all children in general. As a child care providerI find these to be fantastic stories for children. I will continue to recommend this author’s books.

Revenge Never Rests by Laurie Lewis is the second book in the Tallie Brown Suspense book series. I do recommend that you read book 1 of the series. This book is one of revenge, suspense, and love. This book is a major page-turner. I found myself unable to put the book down. I found the story incredibly intriguing and well-written. I fell in love with Tallie Brown. She was a capable and amazing young woman. There are plenty of twists to keep you on the edge of your seat!

Libby Kay has written a wonderful story of two strong characters who put their work first. This story is full of tension, love, anger, strength and patience and I could not put it down.

This is the second book in the Guardians of the PHAE series. I would really recommend reading these books in order so that you get the full understanding of the story. This is a fast paced fantasy adventure which deals with with heartbreak and despair as well as hope. The author does an amazing job of bringing the world alive a the descriptions of Ireland makes you feel like you know the places even if you have never been.

We are back in Ireland with the Unhidden people. We rejoin the story just after the bombings which injured and killed a lot of people with magical abilities( the Unhidden) with cities destroyed, medical supplies low and a mysterious illness showing up Róisín certainly has her hands full and even her healing ability struggling.
As if that isn’t enough to cope with there is still the threat of the groups opposed to magical beings, a deadly plague that is on the loose and when Róisín needs to fight an ancient god to save her world it is definately a story with a lot of action and turmoil and Róisín’s strength comes through in every decision and fight she has.
All this while still trying to figure out what is happening to her abilities and the abilities of all the other Unhidden people.
This story is definately one which gets a hold on you and refuses to let go. You find yourself holding your breath in some parts waiting to see what happens. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series and what the author has planned next.
