4 Stars!!!!

Once again I had a fabulous journey into the Satan’s Devils MC world. I really enjoy the story line and the authors style. I like how the books seem to be seamless and are easy to follow. The characters really just jump off of the pages and are so realistic.

The chemistry between Ink and Beth is unique. I like how he tries to be indifferent at first. I found that I could relate to Beth as everyone likes to take a ride on the wild side once in a while. I really enjoyed reading this book and found I just couldn’t put it down. It felt like I was right there in the midst of the drama. I look forward to reading more from this author and this series.

The Rise of House Valdis (House Valdis Book 1) by Naomi Valkyrie
4 Stars

The cover of this book first drew me in. Finding out that it is a paranormal fantasy was a plus because that’s my favourite genre. It has werewolves, vampires and weirdly, aliens, which usually fall under sci-fi. I decided to give it a try and see where it goes. The story has action, love and lots of drama. It shows that this is the author’s debut novel. I feel that in the beginning of the book, the author was unsure in which direction she wanted the story to head in. As you are reading, you feel her get her bearings and the story takes off.

The book is written in multiple points of views which I don’t mind because it allows you to better understand the story as a whole. Unfortunately, the author used too many in this instance. I feel two points would have been enough. I loved how protective Xenobia was over the women that she took into her home. Although Xen has been through a lot herself, it only made her stronger and more understanding. I would have preferred a stronger male lead. This one was confused most of the time, flip flopping between two people.

Overall the story was original and kept me interested. I believe this book has the potential to turn into a very exciting series. I think Ms. Valkyrie did a wonderful job writing her first novel and she’ll only get better. Looking forward to seeing what else she has in store for us.

Jake Wolfe Series Bundle Box Set: (Books 1-2-3) Vigilante Justice Thriller Series by Mark Nolan – Review by Jenni Bishop

Jake Wolfe Series Bundle Box Set (Jake Wolfe #1-3)Jake Wolfe Series Bundle Box Set by Mark Nolan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jake Wolfe Boxed set by Mark Nolan is a set of books that are gripping and enthralling and hard to put down. I read these books a few years ago and loved them just as much this go round. I love the danger and action but I also love the humour and I love that the stories are told in multiple POV;s. These books are cleverly written masterpieces and I love Marks work. He is a must read author and when all the books are in a one stop shop book set what could be better.

Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie (Jake Wolfe #1) is an action-packed thriller. This gripping tale is one rollercoaster ride with lots of twists and turns you don’t see coming. It is a suspenseful thriller that is so engrossing that the end is upon you before you know it. As much as there is action galore and a barrel of suspense it is also funny. Jake and his best friend Terrell just crack me up. Not to mention Cody.

Jake Wolfe is ex-military, and also a photojournalist for local news. Whilst following a lead for digging up dirt on a high-profile lawyer, he witnesses his murder, putting himself in the path of the killer. What ensues is a game of cat and mouse as the killer is hell bent on tracking down Jake. But he is not the only one that wants to take Jake down, his ex druggie alcoholic fiancée is abusive and unhinged and a sociopath who is a police officer and a major bully also want a piece of the action. He has found an amazing woman but can he hang on to her?

Mark is a unique and dynamic storyteller and he packs a punch with his vivid vision and portrayal of fully developed characters and never-ending action.

Vigilante Assassin (Jake Wolfe #2) is the next amazing addition to the series is just as gripping and suspenseful as the first book with lots of action and danger, drama and thrills. Once again there are lots of twists and turns and you are thrown into the unknown and just have to hang on for dear life.

Jake Wolfe and Cody once again is drawn in to the danger that seems to follow him around. He is a good guy but cannot stand violence against others or those in need, including animals if he can do something about it. Jake will do everything in his power to keep them safe.

Lauren Stephens finds her husband is missing and calls in a security team to help locate him. When Jake and Cody follow along they discover a gruesome sight that causes Lauren to realise she did not know her husband at all. But this discovery leads to a dangerous and volatile situation and now she and her children are in extreme danger.

This fast paced read is completely enthralling and I read it in one sitting because it is so good that you don’t want to waste a minute in finding out what is going on.

Killer Lawyer (Jake Wolfe #3) is a very complex and very cleverly written gripping and suspenseful tale and the next book in this wonderful series. This story is told in multiple POV’s which gives us more of an insight to the characters and a multi layered dimension. The story is action packed and fast paced with the usual twist and turns that lead you astray. The story is intense and will have your heart racing one minute and have you laughing the next. The danger and the intrigue, the mystery and drama will have the pages falling one after the other as you race towards the finish line.

Jake Wolfe is a former marine, a lawyer, covert operative and a nice guy who always rubs people the wrong way without even trying but if you are ever in a bind him and his buddy, ex war dog, Cody are the ones you want covering your back. The race is on to stop a serial killer whose kills have no rhyme or reason. If not stopped no one is safe. Marks plots are complex yet simplistic in their threads in the web he has cleverly woven together. I am very much looking forward to the next book.

The Jake Wolfe series is one of my all-time favourites. The characters are hard not to fall in love with their own unique personalities and characteristics. Emotions run high when we see others in danger and the heart gets a good ‘ol pump.

I highly recommend this series to everyone and I can’t wait to see what they get up to next.

The Sister Pact: Home is Where The Heart Is by Jacquie Biggar is a book so well written it will feel like you are part of this family.
This is the first book that I have read by this author and I can definitely say it will not be my last. This book absolutely captivated me from the start. The author does an incredible job of drawing you into the world of these characters and really making them seem real.
For me it really felt like this book was all about the story. It was well developed and interesting. The author didn’t rely on all the usual tricks you find in some many books and instead has clearly focused on writing a great book. I would definitely highly recommend this book to everyone and I cannot wait to read of this authors work.

Covert Threat (A Gray Ghost Novel, book 5) by Amy McKinley – Review by Liz Vrchota

Covert Threat (Gray Ghost #5)Covert Threat by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have really been enjoying the Gray Ghost novels from Amy McKinley, and this book number five, did not fall short one bit. I really enjoyed these two main characters and quickly fell in love with them, finding myself cheering them on until the very end of the novel. I have had the privilege of reading the books from the beginning and in order but I don’t think it is absolutely necessary to enjoy this book to do so yourself. Just an added bonus.

In Covert Threat we are brought the story of Jules Moretti and Trev Shaw. These two have an undeniable chemistry and Trev knows it. He also is tasked with keeping her safe from a dangerous threat. Will he be able to keep her from harm and win her heart all at once? These two will have you reading well past your bedtime to find out. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book whenever that is!

REBOUND (REWIND BOOK 4) By Rowan Shaw – Review by Naomi McDonald

Rebound (Rewind #4)Rebound by Rowan Shaw
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rebound is the fourth book in the Rewind series. Even though you can pick up on what is going on in this book pretty easily, I’d recommend reading the previous books in order to get a better feel for all of the characters.

I absolutely loved every one of the Rewind books. I’ve been waiting for Noah’s story since he was first mentioned in the series. Rebound has a bit of a different feel than the previous three books, but it was still excellent. I enjoyed the polyamorous aspect of the characters. I also liked the portrayal of Charlotte’s self-realization. I think it is important to show the concerns that come up when you are finding out new things about your self-identity. It was very well done in this story.

I highly recommend the Rewind series. I’ll probably binge read them all again soon!

Taming Zane (Almost Perfect Series Book 2) by Lisa Lanay – Review by Lisa Helmick

Taming Zane (Almost Perfect Series Book 2)Taming Zane by Lisa Lanay
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

These two have a lot of learning to do. Compromise is the platform of marriage. Each of them is so stubborn. I could see the changes in Zane since he started as a player. Shannon I struggled with her growth. She had small steps. Her family or more accurately her brothers….they are definite future books! Protective, annoying and they just seemed to be sexy men. I also loved the tie in to Taming Jake (Book 1).

My only small issue was the child. He seemed nonexistent. I don’t think a woman (with child) would consider marrying a man without making sure they all formed a good relationship (including the child). I’m pretty sure all three had never been in the same room until the end. So that’s my bump in the road. The author did a nice job smoothing the situation over and it glossed up nicely.

Overall this is a good story. It rolls along nicely and has some surprising elements. The emotion between the characters is felt. There is also some humor that adds charm to the book.

Covert Threat (A Gray Ghost Novel, book 5) by Amy McKinley – Review by Angela Hayes

Covert Threat (Gray Ghost #5)Covert Threat by Amy McKinley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Covert Threat is the fifth book in the Gray Ghosts series by Amy McKinley- and what a gripping instalment this has been. Sometimes in a series, by the fifth book things are getting a bit stale and starting to peter out as the momentum is slowing down, and the story is much the same as the previous book- BUT this is definitely NOT the case here. This series just seems to get better and better the further into it we get. This book is just as gripping, if not more than the other four books in the series. And that can be attributed to Ms. McKinley’s keen imagination and writing skills.
While this could be read as a standalone, I really recommend reading the rest of the series too- in order to get all the backstories for the recurring characters, background information, and other important details- which will really enhance your reading experience of this book. Not to mention the other books are superb stories in their own rights! You really can’t go wrong with Ms. McKinley!
This story has so much going on in it- right from the beginning I was drawn into the action, completely under Ms. McKinley’s spell. Jules and Trev had me following along right beside them as everything unfolded, captivated by this romantic suspense. As expected the story has plenty of action, drama, violence, suspense, mystery, twists, intrigue, danger, gripping details, and emotion. As with the rest of the series, I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through, devouring the pages to discover what was happening, and loving every minute.
Bring on Book Six!!!!

Thank you, Ms. McKinley!

I definitely had times where I was laughing out loud and times when I was a bit more emotional with their story. It’s a well written story, paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Intense Romantic Suspense
For those over 18 and want an edge of your seat suspenseful romance.

This is Ink and Beth’s story. It was about time someone as tall as Beth liked her. Over six foot tall and she was determined to find romance. Someone as tall or taller would suit her just fine. Well at Mel’s wedding it happened, or did it? Ink was a one time man. Never wanting an old lady, loved coming and going as he pleased. Always riding on the right side of the law. He has been arrested, was she worth it?

Manda Mellett has done it again! This is the 5th book in her Satan’s Devils series. Each one better than the last. This is a non stop read fest. As you will not want to put it down. Manda Mellett has written this story! Her characters are just perfect and lovable. I have come to love each and everyone. Be sure to read this series in order. I am so glad I recently found this author! I am absolutely loving the Satan’s Devils MC series! I honestly feel like I’m a part of their MC family and I’m still getting to know all the characters! This story has so much everything!!!! Ink and Beth are just irresistible!

Ink is not and never will be a one woman type of guy. Beth isn’t the type to sleep around but when she see’s Ink, she wants him. One night only. She can do this. Accept what Ink’s willing to offer and have a great memory of a one night stand. Neither of them expected the undeniable connection found in that one chance encounter. When Ink is arrested for a crime he didn’t commit and Beth is the one who should be in jail, what is going to happen with their connection? What will the MC do?

This story gives you a bit of everything. Love, lust, friendship, family, mystery, suspense, and absolutely ALL the feels, and ALL the hot and sexy bits we all love in a great MC romance! If you love a great, well-written, MC romance then you need to read this series! 5 stars!

There is an array of funny fast talking scenes. My favorite is the fortune telling texts between Ari and Jax. I also have many passages highlighted. Words of wisdom and other amazing thoughts by the characters.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ink’s Devil: Satan’s Devils MC is the fifth book in Manda Mellett’s Colorado Chapter series! I have been waiting for it since the conclusion of Devil’s Dilemma where we met Beth for the first time! I guess you could read it as a standalone as the writer is great at peppering the background through her stories to the extent it fits but I would still recommend you to take it one by one and in order!
When I first met Beth in Devil’s Dilemma I was not sure if I would really like her. I had been curious about Ink for ever so I was happy to see he was getting his own story but Beth, I was not so sure … and then came Melissa and Pyro’s wedding and the rest was history! It keeps blowing my mind how the Satan’s Devils keep getting themselves mixed up in business that is not theirs … well, the ride that they take us on though leaves you breathless! I warn you that it might take you a bit to lose yourself in the story but if you stick with it then you fall so deep so that once you finish you feel like a fish on a dry land!
I love how the writer has created this universe of Satan’s Devils with a spin-off and I have heard rumours that there will be other spin-offs as there are quite a few chapters so do not fear, there will always be another Devil’s story around the corner to feed our MC craving!

Rebound is the fourth book in the Rewind series by Rowan Shaw. Even thou Rebound can be read as a standalone, I would highly suggest reading every book due to the interconnected characters. This story might be my favorite not only for the hot and oh so steamy bedroom scenes but for the exploring of these relationships.

Rowan Shaw is becoming a go-to author for me in the LGBTQ romance community. I know the subject of Polyamorous Bisexual Romance is either a hit or miss with some readers, but this reader loves learning about how love can be between anyone who is open to love in any variety.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Beth sees Ink at her friend’s wedding and, with some liquid courage and help from her friend, musters up the courage to go after what she wants…a night with the biker. Ink is a member of the Satan’s Devils MC. He agrees to one night with Beth since he is not the type to go back for seconds when it comes to a civilian. They share a night of hot (and I mean super hot!) sex and both go their own ways before the sun comes up the next morning. A party back at the MC brings them face-to-face once again, and the sparks are still there…and they decide to see where things might go.

Before they get the chance to really get to know each other, Beth’s brother comes along and puts into motion a series of events that will change their lives forever. There are drugs, people going to jail, beatings and death, and a rollercoaster of emotions that is quite dizzying. At the end of it all, Ink and Beth must come to terms with what they each want for the future.

Their journey, as well as those of the supporting characters, made it impossible for me to put the book down. I needed to know where the story was going because I was constantly surprised at the twists and turns along the way. I found myself rooting for all the characters to get what they deserved (and sometimes it wasn’t always nice!). I will definitely be looking at previous stories in this series and reading them because I want to know the stories behind all the characters!

Broken By Love by MJ Masucci is a story of a woman caught between her past and her present.
I was intrigued by the story from the moment I read about this book and knew it was one I had to try. I hadn’t read anything by this author before so didn’t know what to expect when I turned the first pages.
I did struggle to connect with the characters a little bit throughout this story. I couldn’t quite work out who I thought was best for her – if any of them – and it made it a little hard to engage with them. The story was pretty good though and had so redeeming qualities about it. Although there we aspects of it I found rushed I thought the author did ok overall good job on the story line. It certainly kept me turning the pages.
I would definitely give this book another go and I will definitely look into more work by this author.

Number 5 in this series and it just continues to get better and better! Ink’s story was amazing and (yeah I know I say it every time) it has to be my favourite so far! I was emotional the whole way through! Beth is probably the biggest surprise character for me! I loved her! I loved watching her grow as the story evolved and she was definitely not what I was expecting at all considering I met her previously! It’s quite possible that Ink has stolen my heart and taken it with him! I absolutely LOVED him!! I was utterly captivated by this story, the twists and turns made it for one rollercoaster of a read and I was 100% rooting for these two the whole way through. I’m going to be honest after Ink and Beth’s first encounter I knew it could never be just one night! The chemistry between them was so intense I was hoping it would fire up to become more!
This book could be read as a standalone but I cannot recommend this series enough! Each MC member has a story to tell and believe me they are well worth reading about! I can’t wait for the next one!!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ink’s Devil is the fifth novel in the Colorado Chapter series by Manda Mellett. This is my fifth novel by this author.

Ink is part of Satan’s Devils and enjoys his single status, not wanting a relationship. Soon, he meets Beth, who understands that type of guy Ink is, not wanting to fall for him. When he goes to jail in her place, is there a chance their relationship is going a different direction? 30 year sentence is along time.

Beth gets pulled into the biker underworld because of her brother. And knows it should be her in the jail cell instead of Ink. I just really enjoyed what tied them together and the progression from there. This is my favorite in the series so far.

I really love this series and look forward to new installment. This volume is the relationship between Ink and Beth. Ink is an unusual name for a protagonist but it fits him really well. Beth is a name I’ve seen before, but I haven’t met a character with blue hair very often.

I really enjoyed the suspense and unknown in this novel and I can’t wait for the next one.

Ink's Devil: Satan's Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #5Ink’s Devil: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #5 by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ink’s Devil is the fifth book in Manda Mellett’s Satan’s Devils: Colorado Chapter series. It begins at Pyro and Mel’s wedding, picking up where the previous book left off. The book then follows Beth, Mel’s best friend, and Ink, one of the bikers, as they realise that their post-wedding one-night-stand has left them both wanting more.
For me, this story got off to a slow start. I wasn’t really hooked and was struggling to get through it. Then things kicked off and I couldn’t put it down! Ink and Beth’s relationship is just starting to take shape when an unexpected phone call in the middle of the night sets off a chain of events that turns everything upside down. It’s tense and dramatic and there’s mystery and action and all the while you’re left wondering if Ink will ever get to teach Beth to ride a bike.
What I particularly like about this series is how we get to see all the characters we’ve fallen in love with in previous books. It’s good to know there’s something beyond just a simple HEA – they’re still together, still figuring things out, while other stories take centre stage. It’s also fun guessing who will get to be in the spotlight next. In this one, Dirt and Nails were my favourite minor background characters so I’m really hoping they get their own book soon!
For me, this is a four star book. It’s a fun series, and this one had me on the edge of my seat at times! If you’re new to the series, good entry points would either be the start of the main Satan’s Devil’s series or the first book in the Colorado Chapter. You can dive in anywhere, but it’s nice to get to know the characters!

The Rise of House Valdis (House Valdis Book 1) by Naomi Valkyrie – Review by Sara Oxton

The Rise of House Valdis (House Valdis #1)The Rise of House Valdis by Naomi Valkyrie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Rise of House of Valdis by Naomi Valkyrie a five-star read that will rise above. This is the first novel in the House of Valdis series, and I can’t wait for more. This was a great story and so well written that I was surprised to discover that it was a debut novel. The story unfolds and is told from multiple points of view and this is great as it gives you a greater background to the story, a greater perspective to get more of the story. There are a couple of small parts that I was a little lost at, but when I realised it was a debut that made it clear then how this was, I just re-read a couple of paragraphs and it made more sense. The characters are unique and interesting and they have a great depth to them, I am so excited to get my hands on number two.

A Sun So Bright (Reigning Hearts Book Three) by KG Fletcher – Review by Sara Oxton

A Sun So Bright (Reigning Hearts, #3)A Sun So Bright by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Sun so Bright by KG Fletcher a five-star read that will set your heart aflame. This is number three in the Reigning Hearts series and they can be read as stand-alone, I will admit I have read them in order and loved them all, I was worried about this one as Fiona was someone we met previously and I didn’t like her then. I am so glad I didn’t let that put me off as awwww I had a total change of heart about her, it just goes to show that love can make you see life differently. This was a great fake boyfriend story and I have read a few and was getting a little overdone but KG Fletcher has done it well, they have done it real well. Chris was a great character and one who built and developed more than just an old property.

Mountains Wanted (Mountains Series #1) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Rachel Moss

Mountains Wanted (Mountains Series Book 1)Mountains Wanted by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mountains Wanted was a great book! Very good storyline mixed with some very steamy scenes, and you feel like you’re living Sarah’s life right alongside her. With such a beautiful writing style, Phoebe Alexander knows how to produce a beautiful story! With a couple twists I wasn’t personally expecting, I could hardly put the book down at some parts. I really enjoyed this book, and I can’t wait to read the next installment and more books from Alexander herself!

REBOUND (REWIND BOOK 4) By Rowan Shaw – Review by Sara Oxton

Rebound (Rewind #4)Rebound by Rowan Shaw
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rebound by Rowan Shaw a feisty four-star read. This is number four in the Rewind series and it can be read a stand-alone, but I have read it as a series and enjoyed it as so, if you don’t want to read the whole series then it is advised that you read Return first as you may miss important details if you don’t. This is an interesting and challenging story and Noah has a journey to go on through this story and what a story it is, this is an emotional, gripping story and one you need to read.
