This is book three of the Rebecca Steele Series. It can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the first two books in the series first. This is the best book in the series. I think the author did a beautiful job on this book. It’s heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. It’s a wonderful conclusion to this series.

Exiled South by Harriet Cannon is a well written, touching story of Lizbeth Gordon trying to move forward. The story begins with Lizbeth losing her husband and soon after discovering truths that her husband had kept hidden from her. Needing to get away from it all, she quits her job, puts her application in with The International School Educator, a publication of oversea postings, and then the moves from the Pacific Northwest back home to South Carolina. Once she is home she takes time to mourn, then starts to put her life back together. Family stories and local history is something Lizbeth grew up listening to. As she is returning to herself she becomes more interested in digging into her family history. She continues to do this even after she accepts a job posting in Rio. As the stories of her family’s history become clear, Lizbeth seeks out information on the missing branches. Throughout this whole experience she is coming back to herself, starting a new career, rebuilding family bridges, and finding love again. I truly enjoyed this story and would recommend reading it. I would note that there is a short rape scene that may be a trigger for some. I believe that you would be able to skip the pages detailing it and be able to continue the story though. I loved the way so many emotions and life experiences are written into the story. The heritage and generational stories, good and bad, that are found and passed on to Lizbeth on her journey. I enjoyed the way some of the stories were written as though you were reading it directly from the ancestor’s point of view This journey is a second chance to understand and accept her heritage, find lost family and develop new relationships.

Apocalypse Thoughts is a wonderfully written, witty, and easy to read Young Adult book. All of the characters, especially Kella, are so easy to like and feel like you know personally. The relationship between Kella and her brother Huck is wonderful and honestly refreshing. As these teens trek through the Appalachian Mountains to carry CDC data north out of Georgia, they learn many valuable life lessons. They are stronger than they think, braver than they’ve ever had to be, and truly care about each other. Not only is this story action-packed, it can be used to teach young adults that not every task is easy but if you work hard at being a valuable member of a solid team, you can just about accomplish anything! The author hits a home run with her writing style and storytelling and I am looking forward to reading the prequel to this book, The Pox Ward.

When I started this book, I was like “Alright, I read the first one, I know what this author can do, so let’s bring on the drama.”
First half goes by and I’m seeing the beginnings of a marriage (which is ironic considering that I also just got married), and the start of these two characters lives together. And at first, it seems a little slow, a little too white-picket-fence, too perfect-
And then tragedy strikes. And again, and again. And then healing.
Do not, I repeat, do not read this book if you’re listening to mildly sad music, because y’all, it WILL make you cry. Actually, this book will make you cry regardless. I don’t think I’ve ever related to a character so much. The struggles Elsa is faced with in this story are struggles I’m terrified I’m going to have, or struggles I already have had. And watching Anton just love her through it all, this author does such an amazing job with her books. I can’t wait to see where the next one leads. Wait out the beginning guys, the end is worth it. I can’t wait for a physical release, this book deserves a spot on my bookshelf (As does the first).

This was a really good book! I’m going to be honest, the first few chapters made me iffy. I was convinced it was going to be a drag and that I wouldn’t understand the timeline at all. However, at about the 35% mark, things evened out and this took me on an emotional ride I didn’t quite expect. There is a trigger warning for miscarriage and drug abuse for this book. While I anticipated that I just didn’t anticipate exactly how much the main female character, Elsa, would break. It put several different things in perspective for me during the course of reading this novel. I cried while reading and it definitely lifted me up at the end. This is by far an 18+ novel, there were several spicy and steamy scenes not suitable for younger readers.

Kella and her brother Huck are very interesting characters for a post apocalyptic world book. As characters who never really become those end of the world trained killers, it’s refreshing to read about people that would be like they are in every day life. Jumper it’s one to keep a lot of secrets and it’s shocking to see each new one revealed. Kella’s journaling in the trail log books would be something I would look for at each stop of I were in their world. A new take on an old genre, very good!

This was a really good book. I thought that the story was beautifully written despite the heartbreaking things that happened. I felt myself going back and forth between being on team Elsa and on team Anton in certain parts. The deep battles that were fought really made this story deep. It was very relatable and engaging.

I didn’t know what I was expecting when I dove into this book but I wasn’t expecting to fall in love so quickly. I am sister to 6 siblings as well as lots of cousins who are like my siblings and I know how the interactions can go. Kella and Hucks Interactions felt as if I were watching (reading) my own. I didn’t expect to truly love the “world” you know it’s the apocalypse what’s there to love lol but it was just set and described so perfectly. I found myself rereading certain descriptions and interactions over again just to get a better sense. It’s a weird read in a way that the pandemic has affected us but not triggering to me at least. I highly recommend setting some time away and reading this all in one go.

Omg yay! This was so beautiful. I haven’t finished crying yet. This author has a way of inspiring people through her live stories. The way that Becky and Johnny have gone on this journey of love and adventure the ups and downs I feel like the ultimate third wheel. I love that this story didn’t feel like the third of a series and that I was reading a new story. The trials of success and motherhood really hit home. I would read this book again and again. Loved this book and the book before. This author made me feel at home following this adventure. Wish there was more.

This book was intriguing in that it pulled you in as if you were part of the family trying to find answers. The author’s character building provides enough detail to imagine each character while still allowing reader interpretation. Through time and across miles, stories unfold and leave the reader invested in the truths. I finished the book feeling emotions in response to the injustices discussed and also wanting to know what Lizbeth does next.

Face the Fire is the 5th book in this series. I have only read one other book in the series but I didn’t have trouble following the characters from the previous book that I read. However, I’m sure the story would be better if you read the series in order. However, I really enjoyed reading about Miles and Bella and their family. From the beginning of this book, you jump right into a situation that Miles as a music producer and with his paranormal abilities skirts a bit around the right thing to do. Seeing how Miles and Bella’s strong relationship working together kept my interest. There were many nights I had a hard time putting the book down to get some rest.

I wasn’t sure if I would like this book. I’m a romance reader, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. I’m so happy I did! Lizbeth is hit with tragic loss that ends up pushing her back to her roots. Both in the physical sense of traveling back home to SC and in her journey of researching her family history. Ive grown to love learning about history, and I am fascinated with my own ancestry so this story was captivating. The authors writing was wonderful, the secrets, descriptions and emotions written in kept me turning the pages. I highly recommend!

Wow! It is a very easy light romance that had a few quick twists that fit the story well. This was the first book I read from this author and I will be looking out for more. The author made this story very inspiring and realistic. Becky and Johnny are the journey of this story. I was surprised that I liked this book because the setting was different from what I usually enjoy. This is the type of book you read to feel good, refreshing is the best word to describe it. I am looking forward to book three. This story made me cry in a few spots it had me day dreaming in between truly living through the pages. Love and country music officially go together. So romantic.

This book took my emotions on a journey. There is a warning at the beginning of a book about possible triggers, and I was thankful it was there. This story brought up real challenges that many couples face, and the agony that can be caused. Each character had to face the issue head on and process their feelings in their own way. The journey is raw and emotional, and pulls every heartstring. This is not your typical love story, it is a story of challenging strengths and pushing through for love. I cried, I laughed, I enjoyed the steamy moments, and I could not put it down until the last page. The author is phenomenal and I can not wait to read the next book!

This was such a fun (and steamy) read. The characters are built well with emotional and complex backgrounds that give the perfect picture of who they are. Even though their marriage was a business agreement and they are opposites in so many ways, their undeniable chemistry keeps pulling them together. They both secretly find themselves wondering if they will really part ways when the year ends. I am hooked and can not wait to see what comes next in this series!

This was filled with what I thought was useful information. Some seemed like “common sense” but for me, it was important because I often forget the “small details” or what seems like common sense, so it was nice to have that as a reminder. I really enjoyed the use of personal examples, it helped things click a lot easier for me. I plan to keep this around and use it for reference in the future. I believe the advice and examples in this book could be used for a lot more than selling books! I would recommend it!

This is the third and final book in the Rebecca Steele series. I read the second book, though not the first (it is being put on my TBR, knowing how it ends, I really desire to see how it started) Rebecca married the love of her life and has a stepdaughter. The compassion Rebecca shows not only to her stepdaughter, but also to her stepdaughter’s friend, really made me connect with “Becky”. She is still performing her music and starting tours while also working hard to make her concert in the park series a huge success. This woman has spunk and is a go getter, what I LOVE to see in a female lead character.

This is the second book in the Rebecca Steele Series, but only the first one I have read. I fell in love with so many of the characters. “Becky” and Emily have been friends since they were children, and it shows in the way they interact with each other. Becky is moving forward with her music career while living on a horse ranch. Is it her dream life? Can she find love or with outside forces tear her apart from the man she has come to love? This book was filled with relationship turmoil and triumphs. This was an enjoyable easy read and really felt like I was transformed to their world. Thank you to the author!!

This book was very informational. I love that it gave tips and examples of how to better yourself in this venture. It has opened my eyes to what authors go through when starting out. It also informed me of different “cons” which I found very nice. It was a quick read with tons of great information. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to venture out in the “con” world.

This story was so powerful that it makes you feel every emotion you can possibly imagine. This contemporary romance is told from multiple pov’s which adds to its depth. The plot is flawless, the characters are wonderful, and the word building is perfect.This book really took me through an emotional roller coaster making me feel anger, sadness, disappointment, hope, and of course happy. Anton is a heart throb who can have anything that he wants but really he just wants love and a family. Elsa is a workaholic just like Anton but she wants to give him the family he wants. But when grief hits them will true love really conqur it all? Can Anton pull Elsa out of her depression, or will she Spiral even further? You’ll have to read this wonderful story to find out for yourself.

It’s been a moment since I’ve read a historical book with a twist. Maggie is definitely a great character for this series. She’s finishing a semester in college, and ends up going back to her dad’s historical time. How crazy is that?! She meets a man she’s seen in a book her dad told stories of over and over and all the adventures begin. It was intriguing and picked up the next book! 🙂

Fans of Outlander will love this trip back in time! A story of adventure, romance, and time travel; many aspects of Outlander are found in the book, but the writer has definitely made it her story. Many young readers will relate to Maggie Armstrong, who has been transported back in time after finding out a decade’s old secret that her father Robert and his best friend Edward kept hidden. Watching her navigate the major culture shock, there were moments that I definitely empathized with her character and the struggles that she was facing while trying to come to terms that everything she thought she understood about her life and the world around her not always true.
The book is not for someone who gives up on reading easily, as there are definitely times that I had to force myself to read, not due to lack of interest though. Many times throughout the book the details become tedious, but that is also a nod to the writer, as there were many times throughout the novel that it was evident there must have been hours of research poured into writing the book. Despite both of these things, it was easy for me to finish the book in a few days and I am very much excited to read the next book in the series!

Y’all- this is my first series by the author and OOMPH. I REALLY love Miles and Bella. (Also their names are cute!) I’m a really big fan of the paranormal, I also love a good mafia series, and this was just a delicious combination of the two- you add romance and the MUSIC industry and I am HOOKED. The dynamics of the characters, their relationships, and their deep (i can’t think of the right word…. Like really defined? Y’all know what I mean!) personalities and feelings really made this read enjoyable. I’m EAGER for more work by this author! Check this one out y’all 💖

Wow, I LOVED this book! There were many similarities to the world we are living in right now which made it interesting and also a little nerve wracking. A pandemic hits the United Stated and Kella, Huck, and Jumper need to get CDC data north to help save the mutations. So they start hiking the Appalachian Trail. I loved the characters and their personalities! Kella writes in log books and draws fun stick figure drawings while trying to figure out who she is. Her brother Huck is on the spectrum and compares the hike and their world to a video game with constant chatter and updates. They meet up with other survivors and hike and hike. The setting is described in great detail, the characters have great traits and personalities, and the twists and turns are constant. I LOVED this book and read way too late into the night hoping I wouldn’t have nightmares about “hyenas” coming after me!

Y’all probably don’t know but a badass heroine is my absolute favorite character in a book- and Lydia is BADASS AF. She will do anything- even face a jungle (which is scary to me lol)- for her man. I love Lydia.

Living the Dream is a cute western for country and romance lovers. Becky has come through a lot of turmoil and upheaval in the preceding books, and now finally has her man, her career, and a spunky little stepdaughter to keep her happy. Obviously that isn’t the end of the action, though! There is a lot of suspense in the plot to keep readers interested, plus old and new characters that fans of the series will like. I was a bit put off by the style of writing; it felt like someone recounting a story that had already taken place, rather than something that was currently happening. That remove from the action caused it to feel slow in parts for me. However it is in a similar vein to the other books, so if you liked the others, you will likely enjoy this one as well.

I love finding new authors. This wad not something I normally would have picked but I’m glad I did. I found the authors style tour quite refreshing. The characters were realistic and engaging.
I was very happy with the level of drama. I have to admit I was quite hooked . I definitely will read more fro.this author.

This is Slick and Ella’s story. Ella is a strong independent woman. When her little sister gets into trouble, Ella goes where she knows she can get help. But Ella broke Slick’s heart, and he wants nothing to do with her. Slick needs to listen to Drummer as well as Ella. He also needs to open communication between him and Ella. Find out what really happened to Ella. Can Slick and Ella work through their issues? Will Slick open his heart back up? Will Ella learn to trust the one thing she hates? Once again this author has rocked this MC Club. I knew before I opened this book, I would be here for the long haul. The rollercoaster is non stop, emotionally dramatic. This author has left me wondering and waiting for the next book. I have read every book in this series. It still amazes me that every book is new and the main characters revisit each book. Saying that I recommend you start are the very beginning and follow along with the Men and Women of the Satan’s Devils. You won’t be disappointed!

The 5th book in the Moore Family Saga was such a great read. Miles and Bella our main characters are married and have twins. They are very attentive to their immediate and extended family and the strength they gather from this closeness is truly a fine work of detail written in by the author. I love to read about strong family bonds and romance especially when a bit of paranormal is tossed into the mix! I enjoyed the easy reading style and the deeply feeling characters that are incredibly well thought out and written. It was so great to be able to identify and be able to hear the thoughts of both of our main characters not just a one-sided conversation or thought bubble. While I have not read the first four books, I am anxious to go back and start the series from the beginning as book 5 had me enthralled from the first page. It was exciting to be able to see a glimpse inside the music industry and to learn about the pitfalls and the fact that even celebrities remain tempted by their past, their fame, and the money. But I must say that the romance scenes are classy and romantic and so well written that I couldn’t help but to fall in love with Miles myself. Such a great read!
