Playing with Fire is the second book in the Moore Family Saga series. I thought the couple of Cade and Lecia had gone through a lot in the first book but there is more for them to encounter. Life on the road is not easy especially when one is a musician and the other the spouse caring for their child. Lecia moves back to the states and gets devastating news about their child. Will Cade be the man she needs? Wow, I enjoyed the first book but this one improved on the first part of the story. I enjoyed the twists that were presented and still enjoyed the main characters. The story is interesting and I’m curious where it will take me next.

Seed on Fire is the first book in the Moore Family Saga series. I’ll be honest the title caught my attention and made me curious about what the story would be about. The story focuses on Kaiden and Alicia a couple with a baby on the way. Though a baby arriving could be a lot for some couples this is only one of the challenges this couple is faced with in the book. I enjoyed the characters and like how there is a multi-generational aspect to the book. There are some tense moments but they only added to the story. I look forward to reading more in this series soon.

Great read! I definitely need to look into more from this author, because the the characters and the world are so complex that it feels like you have left the real world behind and are now living in the book. I will admit, I definitely skipped a few books in the series, so I can’t say if that would have made this a better experience or not, but I was able to keep up and understand the story none the less. The dynamic between Trevyn and Lael was so well done. I also love it when a book is told in multiple POVs and I definitely think it added to the story here. A fast paced, action filled read that will remain glued to your hands until you finish. Now, I must read the rest of the books in this series!

I knew from the very beginning that I would like this book. Right around the part at the bar with the Crocodile shifter and I had my first laugh, I knew. I wasn’t wrong! This book was so much fun to read. It was funny, spicey and a fun twist to the normal Paranormal romances I tend to read. I believe this was the first book by Carrie Pulkinen I’ve read, but now I’m going back for the rest! Absolutely recommend!

This was a great 5 star read and the final book in this great series. If you like western romance you will really enjoy the series. Once you get started you won’t want to put it down.
Things are going great for Rebecca. She is in her happy place of singing and rodeo. She’s married with a family. But of course life has difficult moments and they definitely come Rebecca’s way. My emotions were all over the place at times.
Overall I really enjoyed this story. The characters were great and the author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. It can be read as a stand alone but I would suggest reading the first two books in the series before this one so that you can enjoy the story more. 1-click and get started today.

I’ll admit, I am not a huge Sci-Fi reader, but this book was awesome. I was invested from the very beginning. As if missing three hours of your life wasn’t confusing enough, the sequence of events that follow as Asia tries to uncover what happened and why was a roller coaster of emotion, action, and romance that I will definitely be reading again! The characters are all so complex and beautifully written, making it so easy to get hooked into the story. If you are thinking of taking a chance on this book, then my advice would be get a comfortable chair, a nice snack, and a warm beverage because when you start this book, you definitely wont want to put it down.

While I am not usually a Sci-Fi reader I thought that this sci-fi romance might change my mind and boy was I right. While I have not read the previous installments in this series it can be read as a stand alone but I do plan to read the previous four. This book was full of multiple Pov’s, two broken hearts, old wounds, slavery, shapeshifters and more it really pulled me in from the beginning and kept me turning the pages. This is the first book that I have read by this author but it will not be my last. This book was also full of suspense, mystery, and adventure, and this author weaves a beautiful story full of fantastic characters and a wonderful plot. So if you like Sci-fi or your looking for a new genre to try, I highly recommend this story.

5/5 This book is the third in a series that takes place in a small town in Oklahoma where everyone knows you, your momma, and your grandma. It has that feel-good heart-warming vibe that I adore reading about. This story being the third in a series opens up with a lot of characters in the first chapter and since I did not read the first two books I honestly was very confused. The author did give some backstory to the characters as she introduced them but it did take me about 2 to 3 chapters to understand the dynamics and all the characters. I was worried I wouldn’t get the big picture of the book having just read this one in the series but that turned out to not be the case at all. As the book progressed, I really understood the people and the relationships and the way this little town worked. I immediately liked CC and knew I would connect to her. This book follows CC, a townie and the only hairstylist around, and Brant, the new to town guy who has run the health clinic for the last two and half years with the plan to make it 3 years in the small town to have his student debt relieved and then get back to his life in the city. It all takes a turn when the town helps CC raise money, she needs to finish renovating the gym she wants to open and CC’s friends buy her a date with the handsome Nurse Practitioner. She has spent the 2 and a half years he’s been in town avoiding him and he’s been admiring her from a distance. After their date based off the auction things start to look up for these two. They bond over shared stories of their childhood and learn they might not be so different from one another as they begin to fall for each other. The slow burn of this romance was a good one. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time with angst just waiting for them to give in to each other. The way CC tried to push away her feelings and the longing Brant had was everything I love in a romance. Then you add in the drama and plot twist which I did not see coming that leads to some heartache for both characters and you had me turn page after page until I finished this book in less than two days. I could not stop reading this I just had to watch them fall in love and then the fighting and making up I was dying to see how this would turn out because when they were hurting I felt like I was hurting as well. I was so invested. This couple was so beautiful and funny and easy to relate to on so many levels. This was such a good book I now am wanting to read the other books in the series even though I know the way they end just to get more out of the little universe here and read all there is about Parker Lane and this tiny town in Oklahoma

Such a wonderful story! This story features Lizbeth as she discovers her family’s history, secrets, and past conflicts. The twists and turns were unexpected (in a good way), I could not stop thinking about what might happen next when I put my book down! I love how the author touched upon serious topics such as racism and slavery. Overall, the novel was thought provoking. I enjoyed it very much and look forward to more reading more by this author!

This is an excellent read- both as a stand-alone, and as part of a series. Readers learn a bit about the business aspect of the music industry. African-American issues feature prominently in the novel, and the author introduces and educates readers who might be unfamiliar with some of these issues. The characters deal with issues that most people face- balancing work and family life, as well as adult children interacting with their parents. This story has romance, family, unrequited love, and healing.

I enjoyed this book. Lael Saphora is Hinarr, a race of people who can shapeshift into snow cats. Trevyn Dar is Thane, the race of people who subjugate the Hinarr, and who count hunting the Hinarr in their cat shapes to be the ultimate sport. Star-crossed is definitely a descriptor to use for them.
This story is more than a sci-fi romance, there is suspense, danger, and conspiracy everywhere. There are multiple factions Lael and Trevyn have to beware of, and they are forced to rely on each other to survive. There are interesting creatures, the settings are described vividly, and if you read the previous books, there are appearances by a few characters you might recognize. Definitely give this a read!

A romantic suspense with paranormal and magical realism elements which gives this story an element of intrigue. As the fifth book in the series, I recommend that you read the previous books to get a better understanding of the characters and their back stories as it is a remarkable journey. I am sure you could read it as a standalone, but I can assure you will want to start at the beginning. This is a story about love and family, secrets and lies, mystery and uncertainty. Their happiness is shadowed by doubt, betrayal, obstacles, and forces that wish to tear them apart. There are twists and suspense that keep you turning the pages. What a great addition to the series! It was so enjoyable to get back into this authors work and this story was a brilliant way to do that. I do think you need to have read the previous books first in order to get full enjoyment of the series. I thought this book was well written and exciting. I found myself invested in the story and the characters the whole way through and couldn’t wait to see how things would turn out. This is an interesting series that is certainly would a read.

Shake Loose the Border is the third book in the Thunder On The Moor series. It’s definitely worth starting with book one (Thunder On The Moor) as a lot happens in the earlier books that impacts on the events of this one. Thunder On The Moor is a historical fiction series with a time travel twist. The historical setting is the Scottish borders in the mid-16th Century, and a lot of research has gone into the level of historical detail which really paints a vivid picture. Thanks to the time travel, we get to experience the past through modern eyes, as Maggie learns to accept the realities of the world she has found herself in. This is an emotional book, and there is a fair bit of violence as well. But there’s also plenty of warmth and character to keep it balanced! I would recommend this to fans of other time travel stories with strong historical elements, such as Outlander. It gets five stars from me – a totally engrossing read!

Trevyn Dar is from a planet called Thrane, he is one of the ruling class of the Thrane and is the son of one of the many Ruling Houses, the House of Dar, however, he isn’t anything like his father, known as the Butcher of the Four Systems, or brother and cannot understand their bloodlust or violent way of life, so he makes the decision to escape from that legendary heritage and strike out on his own and is now a member of the Interstellar Council of Abolition and Rescue. Lael Saphora is a woman also from the planet Thrane, however, she is from the other race who live on the planet, she is a Hinarr, a snow cat shifter who shares a mind and body with her Companion and who from a young age has experienced prejudice, violence and hatred from the ruling class who think because they don’t have telepathic abilities, that they are a lesser species and that they are only useful as something to hunt.
One day, Lael is bringing home a shipment of goods which her people are in need of, but on the way, she is arrested and detained by Rescue and her goods seized, however, when she sees that the person who has boarded her ship is a Thrane, she is even more angry. Meanwhile, Trevyn is trying to figure out why Lael has been arrested and when it is shown that she is a slaver, he knows that this is not possible because of her being a Hinarr and realises that she is a victim of an injustice in her own right, especially when he is told to deliver her to the Thrane Inquisitors for questioning. Trevyn knows that if she is sent back to Thrane that she faces torture and a slow and painful death at their hands, so even though he isn’t welcome on his home planet, he decides to escort her and delay her mistreatment as long as he can while he investigates the treasons for her arrest.
As Trevyn investigates and calls in some favours, he uncovers a deeper plot which encompasses more than just Thrane and has much farther reaching consequences than originally thought, but can a Thrane and a Hinarr overcome the barriers between them and a tragic past event to lead the Uprising, or will the conspirators win out in the end? This is a fast paced race to free the wrongly imprisoned before time runs out while love is trying to win over hate and prejudice in this story which will hook you in and take you on a whirlwind ride through rugged terrain and the peaks and troughs of an emotional rollercoaster all at the same time.

Asia Burdette is a woman who has experienced a lot of loss in her life, first she lost three hours of her life which she has tried to remember, but failed at every attempt and because of these three lost hours, Asia lost everything else she cared about and now she is using drugs and alcohol to keep the nightmares caused by this at bay. As she tries to hold down her job and live a normal life, she enlists the help of a psychiatrist to try and help her to come to terms with the event of her past which has so entirely destroyed her, he comes highly recommended, but she is doubtful that he will able to help. Ethan Roberts is a psychiatrist with a haunted past, although he doesn’t stop him from helping others, he still carries round the weight of his past and cannot seem to let it go.
The moment that Asia Burdette walks into Ethan Roberts’s office, he knows that he is in trouble, she is beautiful and smart, but he can see how the lack of sleep thanks to the nightmares have begun to affect her on a day to day basis however, as the treatments starts, he asks her to try something different in the way of therapy and after a few sessions, she realises that she is actually feeling better, but the entire way through the sessions she has been trying to ignore how she feels about Ethan.
Meanwhile, Ethan is under pressure from a colleague to update them about Asia’s progress, he has also been trying to suppress his feelings for Asia, however, when they embark on a necessary journey together, something has to give and that is the barriers between them, but they face more than just an emotional battle when they are attacked by black ops operatives and nearly kidnapped, but as they dig deeper into the mystery of Asia’s lost hours and the new nightmares she is experiencing that makes and how they don’t make any sense, but seem so real, they discover more than they bargained for.

What do you do when your lifelong best friend accuses you of spreading rumors? Ugh! Poor Kirsa tried for years to get Brock to listen, but it fell on deaf ears. That is until Rylan showed up and saw that Kirsa needed a friend and decided to be someone she could count on. Will Brock be willing to open up and finally listen to Kirsa? This book kind of reminded me of a friend I once had minus the bullying. Even though this is a contemporary sports romance, I felt like this more of an enemies to lovers type book. Even though the theme of a sport and romance was interwoven it didn’t hit me as what it is categorized. Overall though this was a good read and I have so far enjoyed this authors works.

Leann Bobbins has had her share of drama. A couple of years ago when she came to Barlett to visit her sister, Leann’s stalker wannabe boyfriend kidnapped her cat and followed her to town and then attempted to abduct her. Thankfully that did not happen. Leann is finally moving on from that incident when she meets Len Yardley, a local police officer.
Len feels almost instantly protective over Leann. They develop a quick friendship that is leading to more. All in part to their daily check in calls. This was something they decided to do because they didn’t always get to see each other due to scheduling. When Leann misses one of the calls, Len starts to worry. He calls her. Leann finds herself in trouble again. Will Len be able to save her?
A sweet, delightful short story! These Bobbins girls just can’t seem to stay out of trouble. The author does a great job of incorporating strong veterans into the stories. Looking forward to getting to know the 3rd Bobbins sister!

There is so much I want to say about this book. First, this is not a short book so prepare yourself depending on how fast you read. Secondly, the book is about a woman, Tori, who is a psychologist. Over the last couple of years, she took on the responsibility of helping people during their last days by befriending them. She has taken some time off of doing that for reasons you will not really learn in this book. However, her best friend, who is a nurse, asked if she could make an exception for a 29 year old man who is in end stage cancer named Will. Will is a stubborn and angry individual when she first meets him, but quickly wins his affection. They become friends and develop a bond like no other. This bond becomes difficult because of the millions of feelings that have to be spoken, dealt with, and accepted. The book was amazing at showing both sides of death – the dying and those caring for the dying.
As a psychologist and caregiver myself, there was so much I recognized and learned from reading this book. I just fell in love with both main characters and even through the hard stuff envied the friendship that was developed. I am someone who has had to face the idea of death after my daughter was born with Cystic Fibrosis. While she is doing very well right now, I still understand that this is a disease that can take a different path at any time, and premature death is always a possibility. I thought the author had Tori partake in this relationship in the most perfect of ways: hopeful, being an amazing asset of support, honest, sympathetic, and just letting people move at their pace, but also encouraged to move further. This book also came at a great time for me because this semester I am teaching Psych of Death and Dying. So if you are interested in ways to move forward watching someone else’s story, this book displays positivity and hope within death.

This was my first read from this author and I loved it. This was a fast paced 5 star read full of adventure, danger, and action. The author pulls you in right from the beginning and you don’t want to put it down.
Lydia finds herself in the jungle trying to save her boyfriend, Cam. The only thing that will save him is the artifact that Cam has stashed . And who does she get to help her, her ex, yup was pretty entertained with this since he had his own agenda as well.
Will they find Cam before it’s too late?
Overall I really enjoyed this read. There are several twists, turns and surprises. Loved Lydia and her personality,Cam was great as well. All characters added a great element to the story. There was so much going on my head was spinning, I couldn’t wait to see what was coming next. If you’re looking for a read that pulls you right in, I highly suggest this one. This book was beautifully written. I love the twists that this book had. The characters were entertaining. This is my first book by this author. This was an easy and quick read for me which I enjoyed. I loved following the main character in their journey.

Another solid book. Miles I really like this character Lil Pharaoh seems like a big trouble maker always causing a scene. I liked the elements of paranormal and magic ascpet atr really well demonstrated in this book. You can tell resreach has been done.

This is the 5th book in this paranormal romance series, although each can be read as a standalone. I had previously read the 3rd book in this series although I was unaware of this when I started reading, only to realise that I had read about these characters before. I really enjoyed reading about Miles (Ari) and Bella again. Things have moved on a great deal since I last read about them and they are now the proud parents of twins who also have the same unusual power that their father has. This book mainly revolves around their professional relationship with rap singer Pharoah, who in turn causes some conflict within their marriage. I was not a fan of Pharoah although I enjoyed reading about him and the troubles that he caused. He certainly was an entertaining character. The author does a great job of writing an entertaining story that keeps the reader engaged, with a few twists and turns thrown in that I definitely didn’t see coming. I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it to others.

Historical, Suspenseful and Romance that will pull at your heartstrings. It has been a while since I have cried this much, while reading. This is Maggie and Will’s dramatic story. So much happens and that is what will keep you reading. As you will not find a safe stopping point. You will have the need to find out what happens next. I could not put it down, nor could I stop the tears. I recommend you start with book 1 in this series. Just to get to know the characters in this series. This Author has an eye for details, as well has knowledge of the past. There is so much more I could say, but that would involve giving you Spoilers. No Spoilers in this review! I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. Please Hurry, Author!

Well, it’s been an adventure with this series. Miles and Bella have a few more adventures in this, book 5 of the series. The twins have been born. They are doing well with their music business. Haunting and tragic mishaps happen. Mysteries abound, adventure happens and tragedy occurs. Will Miles and Bella survive? Will their love be enough to overcome everything? This book gripped me and had me on an emotional roller coaster. Holy smokes, I’m not quite ready for it to be over. It’s one of my favorite series. I truly recommend this series to any suspense lovers. Give it a shot. Surprised me around many corners. Thank you, author, for a wonderful book adventure. I hope to read more of your books.

This was a quick, but amazing read. Lydia reminds me of me because I would do anything for my fiancé even if that means going with complete strangers and my ex-boyfriend into a jungle. He’s my best friend. Lydia is such a strong independent woman and I love it. That’s what makes her who she is. She is willing to do anything for the man she loves.

This was my first time reading anything by this gifted author, I am honesty quite hooked. The characters, the overall story, there was so much I loved, I would probably be writing a long time if I put all my feelings into words haha. I loved the flow, the story itself was a mystery with its own level of suspense! I will defiantly be reading the other books in the series by this author, they truly have amazed my mind in a good way!
I always have beena big fan of paranormal. This one struck my interest though on a new level. It was not just paranormal mixed with fantasy. I personally loved how the story with Miles and his paranormal ability with fire. I did not expect that at first glance. It made him a interesting character from the start. What really added to his make of being interest was his personality though. We all have our dark side right/ how dark is that side really to achieve what we want most in life? Bella was wonderful as well. She was very family orientated which I loved. I loved how she was career driven, and yet always made time for her husband and her kids. Put the whole family together and I will say I loved how supportive they all were of one another, strong family, loved that aspect! The characters were written very well and the story was very engaging, and I could not put this one down, as said I will be reading the prior books for sure!
The story itself really kept me hooked as well! That would be the work of this wonderful author, they knew how to keep the story flowing at a good pace, not too quick and certainly not to slow. They kept the reader as myself interested and wanting to know more of what would happen and what could happen next. I was in a lot of suspense and edge of my seat as I read, the book was a trill ride for me and I honestly could not get enough! Loved this book and its a must read for sure with no doubt!
As have said, this was a gripping amazing read. I loved the author and they gave gained a new stalker now haha. I loved this book and I think the rest of the series prior will be just as amazing! I do highly recommend this author and this book, as well as this series, wonderful on all ends, not ones to be passed up and that’s a fact. Highly recommend, this is something you truly will enjoy to your heart’s content!

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I have picked up from her. Coupled with her writing skills and her attention to details make her stories hard to put down and entertaining to read. This book is no different. This is a paranormal romance story that is full of fantasy and magic. I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the characters who brought the story to life on each page. This is a fast paced story about love and betrayal. It brings suspense and twists and turns that you don’t want to miss. Miles and Bella are about to find out what the price is to success as they put not only themselves in danger but those they love as well. This is a really great story that you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this book.

That’s exactly what this book did to me. Every spare moment I had I was reading this. And with the way these characters are superbly written no one could say differently. If I had them at my side I would say “bring on the end of the world as we know it”
