Falling Home is one of the cutest books I have read in a while (and I love that it is a clean romance). It is the first book in the Buckeye Falls series, and I am so excited to see there will be a 2nd book. At the end of the book, I was hoping CeCe would get her own story, and then there it was- a sneak peak at the 2nd book. This book is an adorable story with a happily ever after. It takes place in a small town in Ohio, and gives a second chance at love for main characters Max and Ginny. I loved that the story had lingering feelings and confusion for both characters, so it was not one sided. Max is a total sweetheart and anyone could fall in love with him. Ginny is a woman determined to not follow in her mother’s footsteps, to the point that she may find herself there anyway. The supporting characters are wonderful, and I would love for Harold to get his own story as well. Highly recommend and look forward to book two.

This was a great 5 star read. I really liked both of these characters although Finn frustrated me at times with his stubbornness. Abi is in a bind trying to help her sister, when an opportunity comes her way. She decides to do a reality show where she ends up marrying Finn. Finn is not happy about the situation and tries to keep Abi at arms length. However, she is testing him at every turn. I loved her feistiness and that she would challenge him. He definitely needed it. And I loved his friends, they added a great element to the story. The term of endearment that Finn used was so sweet. Will Abi get through Finns tough walls and get a HEA? Will she be able to help her sister? The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. All the characters were so loveable. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

This series and the author is new to me and I’ll definitely be reading her books as often as I can get my hands on them. The Hawke Family Series is awesome and I read through all 6 books in about 2 weeks. Each one stars one of the Hawke Family members or a close friend. The Hawke are a strong family and once you connect with them you seem to get integrated quickly into the family. I highly recommend reading these books in order!
Book 1 – Savage Collision: The first book introduces us to Savage Hawke, the oldest of the Hawke siblings. He is a man dedicated to his businesses while doing his best to keep his employees safe. When he’s accused by Danika Ericksson that he’s putting women in dangerous situations, he adamantly denies those accusations. The attraction between Savage and Danika is spicy from the start and keeps you on the edge. There are moments in the book that are steamy, sad, heartbreaking, and action packed. The book introduces us to the Hawke family members and to loyal and new friends.
Book 2 – Tortured Skye: One of the younger Hawke sisters Skye, who is smart but has been a little off due to a tragedy. She is tolerated by her family based on her actions and reactions. Skye finally gives into her feelings for her brother’s best friend. Could this turn into something good or will it destroy something special?
Book 3 – Stone Sober: The youngest and the only other brother of the family Stone. He is super smart but seems to get himself in trouble all the time. This book brings out more about Stone so we get to understand him better. Can he keep the shady dealings from ruining Nora who he is attracted to because of her innocence or will he drag her into the shady side of his life?
Book 4 – Building Storm: This is my favorite book of the series which is about Storm Hawke. Storms life went up in flames and she needs to find a way to build it back up again. There are some tough times that Storm must work through. This is my favorite book of the series. Although our stories are different, I had to find my way to a new life too.
Book 5 – Tainted Saint: Although this book isn’t specifically about one of the Hawke family members, it is about a couple of their friends. Caroline Brooks (Danika’s best friend) is attracted to Solomon Clark (aka Saint) and he is attracted to Caroline. Will these two be able to survive what happens when they connect while at a masquerade ball?
Book 6 – Steele Resolve: Byron Harris works for Savage Hawke at the Hawkeye club. Luca ‘Steele’ Abello is a dangerous mob boss. Their chance encounter will bring danger but will the danger bring them together. Luca is in town to take care of his father once and for all. Will the distraction of his feelings for Byron bring more danger is way? How will the Hawke family help their friend and club manager Byron?

This short book is a prequel to Isaac and Jack’s story.
Isaac and Jack are two strangers at a bar who can’t keep their eyes off each other. Some flirty banter leads to them deciding on one-night with no real names. Isaac will be leaving the city soon since he just finished law school and Jack has an overprotective family who will be looking for her by sunrise. So…one night it is.
However, one night turns into two when these two have chemistry that explodes off of the pages. But, when Isaac wakes up that second morning, Jack is gone and only a note left in her place. When he races out of the hotel to find her…he is more confused on who she is and how he will find her again.
This book was a quick read that I finished really fast. The story was fast paced and H-O-T hot! Definitely has me wondering exactly what is going on with Jack and if these two will find a way to make it work. I will definitely be checking out the next story!

This is a new to me author, and let me just say that I was completely blown away. When I first saw the cover of this book I instantly thought that it was something that I would want to read. Upon reading the synopsis I decided to give it a shot and I was not disappointed. Full of demons, angels, humans, and world destruction this book was just impossible to put down. The journey of self discovery, the characters, and the overall plot was simply amazing. So if you’re looking for your next great read make sure to pick this one up today.

This is a really well-written book. Wonderful characters and a good plot.

This was my first book by the author, but it definitely won’t be the last! This story has everything, action, humor, drama, romance, tension, and redemption all rolled into one amazing story. The author’s vivid descriptions of the scenery added to the beautiful romance she weaved together. She foreshadowed Pedro and Anna’s love story with the medieval love story of Dom Pedro and Ines de Castro, which just added to the intense suspension of their love story. You really get a sense of the characters and want to see them get their happily ever after. This is absolutely a must read if you are a lover of historical romance.

So this one is a huge let down for me. I grabbed it from the blurb expecting a girl and a fae world story. That is not what I got. I got a kid who tries to solve a mystery and make adult decisions while traveling with aunt. There is a small touch of fae mentioning but mot at all what I felt the blurb led me to believe. It also seemed slow moving and there is a lot of narrative which led me to skimming.
Maybe I just wasn’t in the right frame of mind when I picked it up but it was a let down for me. The cover is wonderful as is the title but it took way too long to get anywhere.

This was a winner in my house. Belinda and Caspian working their wands for the syrup and then the earthquake had my grandson giggling. The author has a way of making learning fun and entertaining. Caspian has become a favorite story at bedtime here. We used this one to talk about speed and movement and what to do in an earthquake. A favorite for sure.
Redemption is the name of the game and Pedro came to play! In book one I despised Pedro. When starting book two, I did not think I would have any other feelings for him. Then Anne enters the picture, and the force between them is unmatched! Lo and behold, Pedro has a tender side! The book is jam-packed with action, suspense, laughter, tears, and romance that will take your breath away! What a beautiful continuation of the Winemaker’s series and a way to turn our hearts and make us see a character in a different light! This series keeps winning me over. Book three here I come!

I enjoyed this story as much as my great nieces and great nephew did. The illustrations were captivating and engaging.
We continue with the story of Caspian and his magic wand along with this grandfather, whom gifted this wand to Caspian.
Caspian’s cousin, Belinda, wanted a magic wand of her own just like Caspian has. When Belinda finally gets her own wand, things are a moving and a shaking for sure. Belinda uses her magic wand to help Caspian and Grandfather…but in doing so there is truly a valuable lesson to be learned.
I do not want to give the entire book away, but this a very good story and it tugged at my heart.
Caspian is back but not for an Unbirthday. This time he is joined by his cousin and Grandpa as their world is rocked quite literally. Luckily they have their trusty magic wands to help them out of any sticky situation. The bright and colourful illustrations help bring the story to life which children will delight in. It is appropriately aged for kids between the ages of 4 to 8 years old. Lois once again brings fun to your doorstep for all to enjoy.
Love is this author! This book is great, love the way it’s well written and great illustrations! Reading these to my 4month old niece to reading them with my 12-year son are both so much fun to see their reactions. I would recommend for preschoolers and care givers. Becoming one of my favorite children’s authors.

Abi applies and is selected for a reality tv show where she will marry a stranger for 3 months. She walks into her wedding where she meets her soon to be husband, Finn, a playboy actor who is set on changing his image and is not looking for another girl who wants him for material possessions. The two have some trials and errors but soon realize they actually like, perhaps love each other. This was a good contemporary story about strangers over coming dating after marrying. Abi was a great, selfless character who comes with a side of sass. Finn is untrusting but slowly opens up to Abi’s kindness. We follow them on their reality show life and see if all the tasks they are thrown into will allow them to continue on as husband and wife after the 3 month contract. Overall great read and fun take on a modern romance.

I’ve heard good things about the first series, but I haven’t picked up any books from it. I decided to check out this prequel to get a feel for what the second generation series might be like.
What I liked: The writing is well done, the story is easy to follow, and the author writes good steamy scenes.
What could have been better: The story gave me nothing to connect to the characters. You get very little backstory outside of some vague statements. I knew it was going to have some steam from the blurb, but I really expected more story line than there was. Even though the story ends on a cliffhanger, it didn’t make me want to grab the first book in the series to find out anything more.
Conclusion: If you want to read a ton of steam, this is the book for it. I feel like I would have appreciated this story more if I had already read the book this is leading up to and had made a deeper connection to the characters.

The author does a great job at developing a storyline with characters who are easy to root for. I was able to imagine watching the scenes play out before me as if it were actually on tv. The romance and twists along the way made this book a quick read. The author knows how to keep the reader entertained and intrigued.

They have to move quickly! Fortunately Caspian, Belinda and Grandpa all have invisible magic wands. The open the window, prop it open, climb out, and run down the driveway as all around them shakes and crashes. The neighbor never saw anyone run so quickly. When it’s all over, Belinda wants to eat waffles with syrup. Grandpa promises that if they fell on the floor, he’ll make more.
Lois is a former high school chemistry teacher and former head science teacher at Science in the City Summer Camp in Philadelphia. She has also been an adjunct science teacher at University of South Florida. Since retiring, she continues to take science classes. Her class in Forensic Biology led to Little Red, The Detective, in which Red is studying fingerprint identification, so she can tell that “Grandma” isn’t who she says she is.
Lois has taken so many science classes that she believes science is the solution to almost every problem, including the dilemmas in fairy tales. She has invented what she calls Science Folktales. In each science-based tale, the protagonist achieves a better ending than the original because of learning scientific principles. She has turned some of these tales into plays.
She has also created a series of Mermaid Science stories, which make use of water science.
Lois is married to the love of her life. She has two children, four grandchildren and a dog.
Now, this is how you write a prequel. This immediately put me in a chokehold and I need to complete this series. The Spice was next level. The best I have read in a long time if not ever!! I enjoyed the chemistry between these two that seemed so genuine but also the no-name aspect brought a fun mystery side to it and I loved that as well. My jaw was on the floor when I finished this and I immediately pre-ordered the next book. I need more of this ASAP. If you are thinking of reading this, do it. You won’t regret it.

Whispers in the Waters is the first book in the Blood of the Fae series by Sarah Chislon. This was such a wonderful little find- a surprising little gem of a story that captivated me right from the very first page. I didn’t expect to love this book as much as I did, but Ms. Chislon cleverly wove a spellbinding tale that had me engrossed the whole way through. It is a fantastic Gaslamp fantasy with historical details, a bit of a whodunnit mystery, with masterful world building, suspense, danger, adventure, action, secrets, paranormal details, and dramatic developments- also with some dystopian elements. The worldbuilding and mystery captured my attention and imagination, and I devoured the pages just to discover how it all played out in the end. Jessa is one of three sisters; she has a love of nature- plants in particular which prompted her herbalist interests. She may only be 16, but she really is wise beyond her years. She holds a secret, one that could cause quite a scandal in their society circles if it were to be revealed. So, she is determined to keep her secret caged within her, never to come to light. But that may not be quite so easy when she accompanies her aunt on a trip to aid an old friend. What happens when they arrive at their destination begins quite an intriguing adventure….. I am thrilled to find that this is the start of a new series, one I am excited to continue asap. Highly recommended. Happy Reading…

The Taste of Light is the second book in The Winemakers series. Redemption and a chance at love are the topics of this book. Pedro, whom I did not like) in book one pulls at the heartstrings in this book. I did not want to like him but fell for him anyways. When he meets the beautiful light that is Anne, we start to see him for himself. The story is set in a beautiful location and fills my need for a historical fiction story with romance. I enjoyed the first book in this series, but I am really hooked after this book. I love seeing characters evolve or prove me wrong about my initial impression of them. Pedro did all of that and more. Swoon-worthy story leaving me wanting more. I look forward to the next book in this lovely series.

Whispers in the Water is a prequel novella to kick off the author’s new Blood of the Fae series. This is a Victorian gaslamp story with a slow start. There is a lot of story-building and character-building in this initial story. I enjoyed the characters and the premise. I look forward to the next book to see where this series will go. Jessa is smart and curious. I want to see how she develops as a character. The story also provided some nice intrigue and mystery. There is a lot of good here, and I can’t wait for the next book.

This was a cross between a fantasy with the Otherworld and fae and mystery. The main character, Jessa, is an herbalist who lost her mom when she was young and now lives with her two older twin sisters, her father, and her aunt. Her aunt gets upsetting news and decides to travel towards a town near a crossing. Jessa talks her aunt into letting her tag along so she can try and figure out the mystery that her aunt is keeping secret. She also really wants to sketch the countryside. Jessa meets new people and steps out of her comfort zone to make small talk with others so she can help her aunt. It was an interesting read and I just learned it is a prequel!

This is my second book I have read by Libby Kay. So far I have liked the books. The storyline and characters are well written about and thought of. I felt like some part of the story was missing or was missing some details, other then that I really enjoyed this book. I will continue to read this authors books.

Night Hawke (The Hawke Family Second Generation Prequel) is a Contemporary Romance that I freaking devoured in one sitting I’ve read several books by this author and her style of writing along with characters that are relatable and fully developed make for a wonderful story This one is the Prequel to The Hawke Family Second Generation and I can’t wait to dive into the new series. This is about two complete strangers and their two night stand because one wasn’t enough. He’s just finishing law school and about to head home to reality and she’s a red headed woman who is a complete mystery. These two have great chemistry and attraction is definitely there. I don’t want to give away anything I highly recommend reading this book to get a taste of what’s to come. I’m so ready and look forward to reading more from this Author

This mystery has it all…ghosts, royalty and murder. Elinor is supposed to be on holiday when someone attempts to murder the king. She is trying to solve the mystery before someone else does. I loved that this all took place during a cooking competition to see who is the best chef in the land.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought the characters had really good chemistry and I liked the plot line. I really like books told in dual POV especially from the male character’s perspective. The growth the characters go through independently as well as with one another was well written. I would read more by this author.
