This is the story of one woman’s view of the world from her point of view with not just hers but with those who have a disability. We get an inside look of what it means to be blind and appreciate how her world is affected and how to adapt. We can close our eyes and try to imagine but we truly have no idea. It is unique, insightful and interesting and an eye opener as you read the poetry and words and try to imagine. It is also an invitation to children and adults to see the world of others with activities. It shows that even in darkness there is colour and beauty.

The darkness has taken over and there is deception and lies everywhere. This is the fifth book in this series and each one gets a little better than the one before. There is something for everyone to love in this dark paranormal fairy-tale-esque story, with magic and witches, danger and deceit, suspense and drama, demonic sorceress and revenge.
Not everyone is as they seem and each and every one of them have their own agenda of lies to get what they want but they each get far more than they bargained for when the dark vs the light. No wonder her heart has blackened and her soul has turned towards the dark. Beware what you create.

OMG! This story is a great suspense psychological thriller that is a mad page turner. Conspiracies check, Political agendas definitely, lies and deceit absolutely, deadly and dangerous games oh yeah. This is a dangerous world our characters suddenly find themselves in one that goes far beyond what one can imagine, one where the reach is far and wide. It is an intricate and complex web that this author has cleverly crafted and it is one that is masterfully thought out and executed and is spellbinding and had me agitated, sitting on the edge and heart pounding. It is unpredictable, the tension is palpable and it has just the right amount of humour.
It is a political psychological thriller at its best. I am not going to give anything away it is one little gem that is best discovered all by its self.

Priscida is an alley cat and finds herself her forever home. She reminds me of one of my cats. I read this story to my grandbabies and whilst they did not understand the message being two and four they did like to hear about Priscida and looking at the drawings. If only our lives were as simple as a cats. The story is fun with great illustrations and a wonderful message. Priscida finds a home, love and great people who simply care.

Definitely an emotional read. Tissues are a must. I loved the first book in this duo and this picks up where the first one left off. As with the first book this one has all the feels to. This sweet tale is moving and gut wrenching. Your heart will ache and break and will pull on your heart strings. I recommend reading the books in order for the back ground and getting to know how they came to be. You will be utterly exhausted by the time you finish this journey.
It is a story of a man who had nothing to live for now he has someone to fight by his side. The only problem is there is no guarantee for tomorrow, there is only now and when you have that you hang on tight to that lifeline and hope like hell. It is a beautiful love story.

This is an original and wonderful Paranormal Urban Fantasy mystery story. The author’s narrative was fun and entertaining yet perilous and dangerous and with the great world building it drew me in. With lots of action and intrigue, mystery and magic, deceit and lies the story will have you totally engrossed. There is a cast of interesting characters and the story is unique. I loved the Heroines sense of self and worth and sassiness and I especially loved that the sword was a character and had a fiery spirit all of its own. There is a lot going on in the story but the author has pulled it all together nicely.
I am eager to read more in this series!

This beautifully written story is full of Christmas magic. The illustrations are lovingly drawn. The story is one that all parents don’t look forward to having to face. This is a delightful tale for kids who are at that age to question the magic of the man behind the suit and the reality of Christmas. The author has done a wonderful job of answering this. It is about holding on to traditions and beliefs to help others retain that childhood magic of Christmas. You are never too old to believe in a magic and the spirit of Christmas.

This is certainly a different style I have come to know from this author but that does not mean bad. On the contrary it is a unique and consuming story. It is set in Italy back in the 1600’s and 1800’s where the narrative and the history lets you see the author’s vision. There is witches and magic, reincarnations and treachery. Even though there is love there is tragedies that have not only shaped her life and the person she is but those of the ones who came before. But there is also humour and this author does humour so well. Will she be able to understand the whispers that surround her before time is up? Is she strong enough to weather the oncoming storm? This romantic story has enough suspense, drama and just the right amount of humour to keep the pages turning.

Is the fourth book in this addictive series and each book gets better and better. This series is different and original from other paranormal books out there. Make sure you read them in order as they follow on from each other, you will love them, promise. This wonderful mythological paranormal romance is full of non-stop action and adventure, mystery and suspense, passion and the chemistry is sexy and sizzling. The world building is only limited by your imagination, the author gives us everything needed to clearly envision her narrative. It is engrossing and interesting, and one that you do not want to put down and when it is finished you want more. I love the characters (well mostly) and I love that Vanessa is strong, resilient and full of sass and has those sexy smexy men who will do anything for her.
If you love paranormal romances, original and unique stories, magic and mythology, prophecies and destinies then grab this series and dig in. This author is a must on anyone’s TBR and fav author lists.

This is a great romantic read. This story is a little steamy and a lot sexy and heart breaking all at the same time. It is sizzling and thrilling and enticing. The story is told from several POV’s which I love, love, love because you get a much deeper concept for who the characters are.
He is spoiled and wants to keep his lifestyle, but an unexpected twist threatens to take it all away. That is unless he can find someone as desperate as him.
She had hit rock bottom with nowhere to go but one conversation may just be the answer to her prayers.

It is a dark, dark, dark tale but sooooooo good. It is full of graphic scenes of sex and violence so don’t read if it may cause triggers. This is a riveting and compelling tale is the third book in the series by this author. OMG, this series started out with a bang and each book has continued to be the same way. This story is a dark mafia romance suspense and there is everything you could think of to make this tale an outstanding read. With danger and violence, secrets and lies, intrigue and darkness, angst and fear, intrigue, and sizzling chemistry it pops off the page and keeps your heart pumping and you don’t know whether to sit or stand as you enter the darkness to seek out the enemies.
He is waiting for his time to come to claim what’s his and the woman he loves. She has become a part of the darkness when she was betrayed. Not even their enemies will see them coming.
It was be killed or sign her life away to the Devil himself.

A Sweet Christmas: A Sweet Confections Novella by Nicole Richard is a fun and light-hearted Rom Com. This sweet tale will put you in the Christmas spirit and have you falling in love with the characters. Even though this trope has been used many times before, Nicole has mixed this story with all the right ingredients. It’s a lot sweet, a little spicy, with a dash of sassiness and a whole lot of sexy. Ben & Thea’s story is just baked just right for this setting. There is no drama, just good old-fashioned boy meets girl, with a lot of family and an outstanding business partner, not to mention lots of baked items and whole lot of romance. It is a fast read but a good read.

This Rom Com is flirty and witty, with some quirky characters, and some strange moments. There is lots of Christmas spirit and an abundance of Christmas cookies. This light-hearted romance takes place on a cruise ship with Navy SEAL’s, Santa and Mrs Claus and a little Christmas magic and a lot of alcohol.
It is a fast and an easy read and an afternoon escape with drink in hand.

Practically Pagan – An Alternative Guide to Magical Living by Maria DeBlassie is a personal journey for the author. It is interesting, but I thought and incorrectly, it would provide more on magic and paganism based on the title of the book. Instead, it is more about Maria’s personal journey into her discovering what she believes in and what works for her. I did feel that the story could have been told with fewer word. Less is sometimes more but it is Maria’s journey. However, although I didn’t read anything I didn’t already know it was just a reminder to keep on doing what I am doing. Remember to give thanks for things, be grateful for Mother Earth, that the magic you feel is real and to remember what you give out is what you receive in return. All really simple things but sometimes you need to slow down and restock.

The multi layered story is emotionally charged as Elgin reveals his deepest darkest secrets. But he is not the only one who has a past that affects them Mary Beth has been hiding for five years. When all is said and done will they be able to heal their souls and protect their hearts in the process? I wish there was more.
If you are looking for a good erotic romance, you have found it.

Fate, Frankincense & Funerals by Naomi Valkyrie is a great MM paranormal tale. When I saw Naomi had another book out, I didn’t hesitate to grab it and as always she didn’t disappoint in any way. For once I actually read the blurb and found myself a bit sad, angry and torn for the characters and I still felt the same way once I dug into this fantastic story. It may be short, but it packs a punch. Naomi’s world building, characterisation and narrative have a way that draws you in to the heart of the story which I wish was a little longer because I wanted more.
Society shuns them and archaic laws forbid them.

The Mating Call by Brooke May is the first book in the Long Claw Pride series and a paranormal romance. Who doesn’t love a paranormal story set in a small town with mountain lion shifters and soul mates. Throw in some action and drama, hopes and needs, wants and love and mix it up with fate and you have yourself a great read. I enjoyed the characters and the world that Brooke’s narrative has given us which is so easy to imagine and get lost in. They are positively crazy, most definitely fun and a lot wild this pride but you can’t help but fall in love with them good or bad.
Cheyenne had hoped for more but she can’t stop what fate has in store for her and when the Call comes she can’t ignore it. But letting go of her past is not going to be easy.
Lane just wants to finally belong and have something for himself but the road has been long and he isn’t sure he will get what he is seeking.

A Spell of Rowans by Byrd Nash is definitely a hard and highly emotional book to get through. The rage and sorrow I felt was palpable. It had my heart breaking and I really wanted to hurt someone, badly. It’s a little bit of everything from drama, mystery to child abuse, murder, suicide and a lot more. There is some paranormal aspects to the story but not what I would call fantasy. I found it is strangely fascinating and engrossing and as much as I didn’t want to like it because of the suffering, I did.
Rachel Rowan is a nasty, nasty, vicious woman and now she is dead (If only it happened earlier). Not only do the scars they thought once healed, or as healed as they were going to get, have now reopened having to deal with her death but her children are now caught up in the mess she created and her many enemies.

Cross-Country Christmas by Laurie Lewis is a sweet and heart-warming romance that was fun to read. What a better time and place to set a Christmas story with cowboys and a ranch. I enjoyed the teasing banter and witty humour between our characters which was fun to read. This story has a little bit of everything with hope and forgiveness, tragedy and pain, family and friendship, hurt and love.
The story is about two souls healing and second changes but to get there there needs to be forgiveness. As much as I liked this story there are a few unanswered questions.
CC is trying hard to leave her past behind her and make a new start for herself. Reese has been burnt and has trust issues. So when they literally crash into each other’s lives they need to heal and maybe, just maybe than can do it together.

Luke (Default Distraction Book 4) is another wonderful addition to this Rockstar romance series by this great author A.S. Roberts. I was like a kid in a candy store when I saw this book was coming out and may have in done a little dance, apparently I forgot I was on the bus. Anyhoo, I have been waiting and waiting and did I mention waiting for this book to come out but now that I have read it I am sad to see it end. Make sure you start with book one and work your way through to get the most out of the reading experience. These complex yet loveable characters and their back stories are everything you could ever want. It is so easy to get lost in one of AS’s stories and become invested in the characters whom feel like old friends.
I am not going to give away anything. Nope no spoilers. You really need to read and experience it all for yourself.
This series is a must to each and everyone’s TBR list.

Caught in Midnight Shadows (the Caught Series Book 4) by Sharleen Scott is a suspense romance story. The suspense is palpable in this game of cat and mouse. I was fully engrossed in this mystery the action and drama had me intrigued and hanging on every word. I enjoy the way Sharleen masterfully weaves the threads putting together each of the pieces that make the story come alive. I also love that the story is told in several POV’s which gives the story that much more richness. I don’t nearly enjoy a book half as much anymore if it’s not told in dual/multiple POV’s. Any way I digress.

Aubrey Chartrand just wants to ride but one sexy stranger enters her world and has her rethinking her decision. But is she now in danger or was she a target all along?

Brant Bellamy has left everything behind to find a murder but he finds that not only himself but one sexy bartender, is in danger.

This series should be on your list and should not to be missed.

Love’s Reverie by K.G. Fletcher is the second book in The Stardust Duet and one I have been waiting for. I fell in love with the first book and this one did not disappoint. It is a fantasy romance. This duet is about time travelling and romance which is a little different than what we usually see KG write but it is a wonderful heart felt story. KG’s narrative makes it so easy to get lost in the story and imagine what she sees when she puts her words to the page to make the story come to life. I can actually see this epic tale being made in to a movie or series, that’s how good it is. I enjoyed that the story was woven between two timelines and told in dual POV’s giving it that little bit extra something. This delightful duet should not be missed out on.

Blood Oath (Mafia Elite, book 2) by Amy McKinley is another explosive romantic suspense story in this series. It’s a no brainer when I see Amy’s name come up I just know the story will be outstanding. I have been patiently waiting for this book and I wasted no time flying through it once I had it. This romantic suspense story is dark and dangerous and full of action, revenge and violence but that is what makes it a great read. I was on the edge of my seat most of the time and the intensity and suspense just pops of the page. The characters are complex and have a lot of depth but you can’t help but love them.
He is the heir to the throne but his enemies know just where to hit him the hardest and that just maybe their biggest mistake.

Spoilsport (Pierce Brothers Book 2) by Belinda Williams is a steamy but sweet Rom Com read, with an almost enemies to lover’s kinda feel to it. I love the well-developed characters and their energy for their love of living life to the fullest and their game playing. It is fun and engrossing and full of chemistry. In this story it is opposites attract.
Nadia’s new house is in desperate need of repair but the problem is she had a one night stand with the one person who can help her. She is a little carefree and wild but kinda a bit of a biatch and not looking for relationships. I really wanted to smack her, a lot.
Luke is getting over a divorce and a dad but he has never gotten over his one night stand with her but could they make it work. I told him to stay away from her but did he listen? No.
Anyway aside from Nadia’s biatchiness I really enjoyed this story.

Unlikely to Fit the second book in the Parker Lake Series by Olivia Sherwood is a second chance romance story and I absolutely loved it. Olivia has the ability to weave a tale so real, you feel like you know and love the characters. There is sadness, love and laughter as we watch our main characters work through the toughest times in their lives. Add in the best of friends and one extremely cray cray but totally loveable grandmother and you have the perfect recipe for a good story. Brecken has been betrayed by the one person who promised her forever. Griff is still mourning and doesn’t know how to move forward. Will they be able to let go and learn to love again? This story with have you laughing out loud, loving and hating and crying. Who doesn’t want a second chance at love with a hot and oh so sexy man. If you have never read anything by Olivia you need to get your hands on her works, they are just fantastic.

Snowflakes & Stockings (A Wilton Hills Christmas Book 4) by Marianne Rice is another wonderful romance from this author. The characters are well written, and I fell in love with them. Marianne puts life into her characters. It is an enjoyable and feelgood snowy Christmas story. This story has all the feels and is a nice escape from the real world and has you believing in Christmas magic. A sweet, small town, a secret Santa, and a reporter on the up and up and an owner of a big tech firm who doesn’t celebrate Christmas. There is a little drama, a few tears, a few laughs, and a few sighs plus a few aaaaaaaaahhhhh moments that warmed my heart.
Liberty Johnson is determined to find out who the mystery Santa is because the promotion is hers. Along the way she finds out all is not as it seems.
Sawyer Campbell is not who he appears to be but not everyone gets to see that. No, he is so much more but can even he see that.

Surprise Baby for Mr. Fischer (Curvy Ever After Book 2) by Stephanie Harrell is a contemporary romance story. It can be read as a standalone, but I always say start a series from the beginning. This sexy little tale is one of those stories that melts you. I loved the characters and often found myself laughing. But it also had lots of moments when I was like “Swoon”. The chemistry is off the charts. With everything seemingly against them will these two finally get their act together.
One hot, sexy, and sizzling weekend leaves her with a little surprise and certainly more than she bargained for.
He is a hotshot actor but not everything you hear is the truth. I take its toll so one hot and sizzling weekend with a fantasy is just what the doctor ordered. BUT little does he know his life is about to change. Forever.
You need to get your hands on Stephanie’s books and start today.

Check In (Bobbins Sisters Series Book 2) by Debra Parmley is a romantic suspense story. A stalker on the prowl, a bank robbery, some mystery, a little intrigue and some suspense and romance that round off the story. I would have liked the story to be longer though. I think the author’s writing style is better off aimed for a younger audience, NA, or YA perhaps. The romance is sweet, and the characters were likeable but the chemistry between them was lacking. Born to Fall (Can’t Resist You Book 2) by Brittany Anne is a sci-fi dystopian romance story. This is the second book in this gripping tale where the world has been turned upside down. I loved the first book and this one was better. Brittany writes with passion, and it shows when the story pops off the page. Lies and manipulation, deceit and drama, danger and suspense are but a part of what this story has. Throw in some mystery and lots of passion and I was riveted. I love that it is told in multi POV which is my favourite way to tell a story because it really adds that extra layer that connects you more to the characters. The world building is well done, and Brittany paints a devastating picture of what could happen. It is raw and compelling and has you hanging on each and every word. We journey along through action-packed adventure and all the lies and secrets, hopes and pain, sorrow, and frustrations, right along with the characters.

Twilight’s Curse is the first book in the Twilight Realm Trilogy by K.M. Wray. It is a YA fantasy story with elves and brownies, magic and dragons, fighting and action, pain and sorrow, hope and wonder. This was my first time reading a book from this author. The plot and characters are interesting, and there is a little bit of emotions that leak through. There is action and hate, love and lies, pain and sorrow and betrayal. I found I could not fully immerse and lose myself in the story. I needed something more. But please don’t let my thoughts deter you, I am a fussy paranormal fantasy reader.
If you love YA fantasy, give it a go you may just love it.
