Caught by Him by Tammy Mannersly is a sweet love story that is well written and full of hope when you find what you didn’t know you were looking for. They are from two different worlds and if that isn’t enough people are trying to keep them apart. It is a short but captivating romance story with a whole lot of chemistry. The story is fast paced but it flows nicely. Tammy makes it easy to get lost in the world she has created with lovable characters and enough drama and suspense to give it that little bit more. I look forward to what comes next.

Spooked by a Suspicion by Risa Nyman is an adventure story for preteens / teens aged around 9 -12 years old. This is the second book in this series and follows Rocky life and navigating where he fits into his mother’s and her husband to be lives. The story is really fast paced and interesting. When strange things keep happening around him Rocky and Olive decide to do a bit of amateur sleuthing to find out if the evil step Dad is behind it or not. A little drama, a little mystery and a lot of unknowns.

Tainted by Marsha R. West is an action-packed romantic suspense story. The characters are well developed, and I easily connected to them. There is non-stop action as trouble follows them in their wake. It is easy to picture the setting as Marsha vividly tells her tale. It is also a second chance story where old friends catch up again after 25 years. Liz needs to get away with her daughter from the life she had. They find themselves in a beautiful place, but their serenity is short lived. However, where there is danger there is one man who has sworn to serve and protect. I look forward to what comes next.

Written in the Stars is a heart-warming and gripping story about adoption and finding birth parents and is the second book in the Mothers and Daughters Collection by Angela Christina Archer. It is a story that made my heart ache as I easily got lost in the story. Angela’s writing drew me in and conjured up all sorts of emotions as I followed along with this story. A young unwed woman in the 1950’s is left alone and has the choice on whether or not to keep her unborn baby taken away from her. It also shows what one goes through to find someone that may help them know who they are and where they came from. I was completely engrossed in the story and invested in the characters.

Potager Plot: A witty cozy mystery with a hint of romance. (A Backyard Farming Mystery Book 5) by Vikki Walton is a heart-warming and easy read. Unfortunately, I did not realise that it was the fifth book in the series until I was a good way through. So rather than stop I finished and really enjoyed it. I will go back and start at the beginning in the future. This suspenseful read is fun, and we have a team of female leads that will do your head in. They are sassy fun and each one of them full of secrets and the unexpected. They are definitely a quirky bunch. A mysterious death, maybe. An affair, possibly. Happy besties, hmmmm maybe not. But one thing that is sure is that it is a quick read, an afternoon delight with good humour and a few chuckles.

Hazard in Hawaii (A Doctor Danger Mystery Book 1) by Heather Silvio is a paranormal mystery story. This interesting and intriguing storyline is full of the supernatural and danger, suspense and action and wonderful and unusual characters. They are unique, fun, and original as is the story. This adventure takes us to Hawaii where we uncover deep hidden mysteries and learn their lore’s and mythologies along the way. The story is a little predictable, but that didn’t detract from me enjoying it. This is a fun start to the series, and I liked that it features old friends from the Paranormal Talent Agency series. Heather provides stories that you don’t want to put down.

Effacement by Hieronymus Hawkes is a sci fi dystopian thriller. It makes you wonder how far off we are to facing the same sort of thing in the future. I feel we are definitely headed that way if not already almost there. This is Hieronymus’s debut book, and it is well worth the read. The plot is complex, clever, and well executed. I was fully immersed in this compelling fast-paced story where technology is the power player. The characters are all well-fleshed out. Conspiracies, forgotten memories, on the run, danger, drama, thrills and so much more is what you get as you journey along with our MC.
Hieronymus world building is interesting and intriguing and keeps you on your toes in this futuristic tale.
Dating the Intern by Natalina Reis is a sweet rom com where there is an age gap between the characters. Not that that stops the fun. I really enjoy Natalina’s stories because they are fun, sassy, sexy and an easy read. They are easy to get lost in for an afternoon of peace and quite and a glass or two of your fav beverages. She needs an instant relationship to make her look good for her dating company and he is an intern and happy to help. What ensues will make you laugh, swoon and barrack for them.

Ride For Me (North Shore Crew Book 1) by Vi Summers is a second chance enemies to lover’s romance. Vi is a new author to me and I was excited to see what she had to offer. I was not disappointed. Sparks fly and the chemistry is electric but it’s not all sunshine and flowers. There is heartache and all-consuming sorrow but there is also the chance to heal the heart and soul. This wonderful story is all consuming and the characters make you fall in love with them. There will be tears so grab the tissues and probably a good stiff drink.
Let me tell you I’m glad I came across this book and as it is the first book in the series, I can’t wait to get my hands on the others.

Jake the Growling Dog Shares His Trail: A Touching Tale of Sharing, Disability Awareness, Kindness, and Overcoming Fears by Samantha Shannon is another fun-loving adventure. I enjoy Jakes adventures and the added bonus is they all have a message within in them. My grandsons have come to love these books and as always, they love the colourful illustrations. This book is fun, teaching, and cute and worth the read. The wonderful tale is interesting and vibrant.

Stripped (The Stripped Series Book 1) by Stacy-Deanne is a romantic suspense story. It is full of intrigue, murder, and mayhem. I had trouble fully connecting to some of the characters. Being a spin off series I really should have started with the original series Bruised first. It would have rounded the characters out more and would have given me a better in sight to them. Some things were a little predictable but overall, it was an interesting and enjoyable read.

Sweet Nightmares: The Dream World Chronicles Book 1 by Chynna Pace is a YA paranormal fantasy story that danger, magic, and action. Nightmares are not supposed to be real, but Alex soon learns the truth of just what goes bump in the night. She also finds out truths about herself, prophecies, and destinies. The plot is intriguing, but the execution needs a little more finesse to help the story flow a little easier. Chynna has written a story the YA paranormal lovers will enjoy as they follow along the adventure with Alex and her sister and their new world.

Unbreakable is the first book in The Diamonds series by Tee Smith. This read is a contemporary romance and a bit of an emotional journey. It is full of sexual tension and drama, danger and horrible ex’s, violence and suspense, secrets and lies. The characters are nicely fleshed out and a little complex and there is a little mystery to keep things interesting. It started a little slow but soon found ground. Good girl meets bad boy, and it doesn’t matter what side of the tracks you are from, right or wrong, when love and the heart is involved. The only problem is that trouble will always follow you.

So Close: A Best Friends To Enemies to Lovers Romance (Love Grows Series Book 4) by Renee Regent is a contemporary romance. As with the other books in the series the story will find its way into your heart. This captivating tale is raw and has a real feel to the storyline. I fell in love and became invested with the characters. Sometimes there is laughter but other times there are moments of sadness. Once best friends. Broken enemies. Star studded lovers.

Dire’s Club by Kimberly Packard is a unique and inspirational heart aching tale of fulling your bucket list before you die. It is about newly formed relationships with unexpected people who become friends through a shared experience. Kimberly has done a great job of giving us something raw and beautiful when you are dealing with mental health and terminal illness. This hauntingly beautiful tale will stick with you long after you have read the last page. It makes you think about your own mortality and just what you would want to do or have done before your own time is up and celebrating life.
I love the line “Everybody dies, the lucky ones have fun doing it.”

Hairballs and Homicide is the first book in the A Kitty Beret Cafe Mystery by Ruth J. Hartman and is a cozy mystery and a sweet romance rolled into one. Our super sleuth is on the hunt for a murderer with her trusty sidekick superbly dressed cat. That’s right our female lead loves and rescues cats but she loves to dress them up. I mean what is a story without a little quirkiness going on to make it fun. There a quite a few colourful characters that will have you laughing out loud and people on the bus staring at you. But who cares if it makes you feel good, right? This entertaining tale is full of comedic banter and is a great escape.

The Marcy Series Box Set: Books 1-3 by Linda J Burson is three books of romance stories with a bit of danger, and suspense, twists and turns. Now they are all in one spot and waiting to be read one straight after the other one.
Book 1 Rage is the first book in the Marcy series and there is a whole lot going on in this story, twist and turns at every step of the way. Just when you thought you knew what was happening BAM you were thrown for a loop. This is a romantic thriller full of action and drama, suspense and a whole lot of mystery and murder. Marcy is plagued by horrible nightmares and rage, and she doesn’t know why. Realising things are not as they seem Marcy knows she needs help. But when that helps comes Marcy finds herself in a fight for her own sanity and a path that she never expected.
Book 2 Confusion is the second book and just like the first book here is a whole lot going on. This book will certainly keep you on your toes and on a rollercoaster ride where you don’t know which way is up or down. Confusion is an apt title. This book is a psychological twister that has it all from action and romance, murder and mystery, and lots of dramas and dilemmas. Your emotions will be all over the place, fear and anger, love and angst, hate and happiness. Marcy is trying to face her nightmares and little by little they are coming back but could there be a more that could be behind everything? Could things get much worse than they already are? Will she be able to move on from her past? Will she finally be able to move on in her life?
Book 3 Agony And Ecstasy is the third book and continues on where the second book ended. This book is the culmination of everything coming to a head. Freedom is scary, revenge is ripe and sweet, devastation takes its toll and finally nightmares are finally revealed in full. Love is lost, happiness turns into heartbreak. Agony finds happiness and a broken heart may mend. This story has many, many, many highs and lows and lots of confusion, tears and sorrow, but there is also laughter and surprises. It is a story of three peoples hopes and dreams and unimaginable love. It is also a story about dealing with a past that would destroy even the strongest of us and dealing with the complications of that past to try and find a way to the future.

Hanging Softly in the Night: A Detective Nick Larson Novel by Maria Elena Alonso-Sierra is the first book I have read by this author, and I am impressed. Maria takes us through a complex plot that she has intricately woven together and given us not one but three plots that will run you ragged. The pace is steady as everything is revealed along the way, but they are not to be outdone by the spectacular ending. Maria has wonderfully crafted a tale that will keep you turning page after page after page as we run through police procedures and investigations with complex and believable characters. We also go on the hunt for a killer to bring to justice. We deal with trauma and mental illnesses, loss and grief and so much more. If Nick needs a partner, I am sure I am now qualified after reading this book. I can not wait for what comes next.

Dangerous Curves Boxed Set 1: 3 Cozy Christian Mysteries by K.L. Montgomery is a great way to get the books, so you don’t have to wait. A one stop shop. I have read a lot of KL’s books and I never get tired of reading them no matter what it is. She is a must read and her narrative is always a lot of fun.
Betrayal at the Beach: A Cozy Christian Mystery is the first book in the Dangerous Curves series. It is a YA story of a young amateur sleuth on a quest for answers. I am sure Nancy Drew fans will love this story. In true KL style the message in the story is about body positivity. This cozy mystery is a feel-good fun read.
Mystery at the Marina: A Cozy Christian Mystery is the second book in the Dangerous Curves series and is just as good as the first. Sunshine are her friends are on the case and looking into why marine life is suddenly dying but as usual nothing is as straight forward as it seems. With mystery and suspense and a lot of adventure and loveable characters you just can’t go wrong.
Shooting at the Shore: A Cozy Christian Mystery is the third book in the Dangerous Curves series, and we are once again drawn into trouble with this whodunnit. I have enjoyed all three books but this one is probably my fav so far. I enjoy reading books that K.L. writes as they are fun and quirky and a little dangerous and make you laugh.
The Girl and the Gargoyle is a YA paranormal romance and the second book in The Girl and the Raven by Pauline Gruber. Before starting this book, you should read the first book The Girl and The Raven and in quick succession as there is a lot of layers. It is a quick read, and I definitely enjoyed it. It is original and different to other paranormal romance stories. The characters are also a little different to your straightforward usual paranormal critters. There are demons and witches and gargoyles and an evil father on the hunt. As I said with the first book there are secrets and lies, magic and a wealth of unusual. YA’s will love this book.

Repair: An Everyday Heroes World Novel (The Everyday Heroes World) by Trish Williford is a contemporary brother’s best friend second chance romance story. I have read a few stories from The Everyday Heroes World which are different stories by different authors. This sweet love story by Trish is a bit emotive as two people cross paths again and hopefully put their past behind them. One awkward night lies and secrets and a lot of heartache and water under the bridge that needs to be repaired to move forward. It is a quick and entertaining read.

Hold Me Forever (Heron Harbor Book 3) by Lea Nolan is a contemporary romance that has all the feels. This wonderfully written heart-warming tale is engaging and enjoyable and takes us on an emotional ride right along with the characters. The story flows nicely and the descriptive narrative brings world Lea has imagined and the characters to life. There is lots of feelings in this book and has plenty of angst and drama to keep the pages turning. With lots of charm, wit and chemistry and romance. Unfortunately, it is the last book in the trio.

Boy Released by J.D. Spero is the follow on from Boy on Hold and is a YA cozy mystery thriller. The story takes place ten years after the first book Boy on Hold and is also told in multiple POV’s which enriches the reading experience as you get a much more in depth look into the characters. It is raw, it is honest, and is more grown up than the first book. The tension and emotions throughout are palpable and is heart-felt. It deals with mental illness and is a great story.

Lyon Tamer: Nerdy Romcom Adventure by Jen Luerssen is flirty, and witty. Jen gives you something cute and fun when you need something to take you away from it all. Well, that and a glass or two. Something where you get lost in another world. Where you laugh at the end of a bad day. The humour Jen infuses in her characters is just perfect and easy to imagine. And the banter is delightful, and it is an easy read and a lot of sass.
Sheldon likes what he likes, and he makes no bones about liking his romps between the sheets. Simone is no prude, but she doesn’t have time for a relationship, and she doesn’t do one-night stands. It sure is fun to watch these two try to navigate the sexy and sizzling and steamy tension around them.

Laura’s recipe is a feisty, fun and quirky tale that you will fall in love with. It has all the ingredients to keep the pages turning and wanting to go looking for sweet treats at the same time. This is one story that will make you have all the feels. Laughing out loud, sniffling quietly in the corner, deep sighing on repeat and your tummy waring with your brain. Master Tuscano: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 2) by Sylvia Black is a dark paranormal Vampire romance story and is another great book in this series. As with the first book Master Descallia I was instantly lost in the story and to the beauty of the harsh world that Sylvia created. Her world building and characterization is spot on. It is also just as fast paced, intense, full of suspense and steaming hot as the first book. I am hooked on this series and love what Sylvia has done so far. She has quickly become someone who I will follow to see what else she brings. More, I want more.

The God (Her Three Immortals Book 2) by Hazel Storm follows on from the first book The Don. This fun and titillating clever story leave you wanting more. It is a quick read, but an engrossing read that has me laughing. This sexy tale is told from multiple POV’s which make it so much richer. As with the first book this paranormal romance is unique and original. When the Gods like to play you never know just what you are getting yourself into. The Underworld is not like the Upperworld and now she is unsure what to do when you have upset the Don of the Underworld and he has stormed off to God knows where.
Beware the three sexy immortal Gods out of Greek mythology who have set their attention on Vanessa, ooowweeeeee, watch the sparks explode in this reverse harem story.
As Hazel states unfortunately, we are once again stuck with an ending that is somewhat cliffhangery! I love this word.

Sinful Daughter: A mafia Romance by Emily Bowie is a forbidden love story where the good guy falls in love with the Mafia boss’s daughter and the one man he is trying to bring down. I haven’t read any of Emily’s books before and I was pleasantly surprised. This action packed and tension filled tale is full of twists and turns. It is raw and gritty, and entertaining, and full of emotions. He is hellbent on revenge and she wants nothing to do with the family business. She is his way in, and he is her ticket out. But in the end who is left standing?
