It is a richly spun tale full of magic and myth, of Celtic folklore and legends, of gods and goddesses set in the beautiful county of Ireland. Having visited Ireland it just made the story pop so much more. And let’s not forget the musicality of the story which just adds another dimension overall.

Fury of Conviction (“Villains” of the Dragonfury Series) by Coreene Callahan is a paranormal story. This is the second book in the series and is a short story. The story flows nicely but I wish it were longer than a little tease. The plot is simplistic in its telling but has enough of everything to hold your interest and become invested. With sexy alpha Dragon shifters this little taste of what Coreene can do will have me running back to read more of this intriguing and interesting world she has created. I do love me some shifters.

AJ Renee does it again with Cursed Touch the fourth book in the Broderick Coven. It is captivating and engaging paranormal witch romance. The stories just keep on getting better with each one and this is my fav of the series so far. AJ weaves tangled webs that you are easily ensnared by when reading one of her works. She makes it easy to get lost in the story because her world building and writing style makes it so. I was so engrossed and lost in the story that it was over before I wanted it to be. With witches and magic, mystery and fated mates, protective heroes, and lots of chemistry it is a winner, and you should get a copy today.

Bared is the first book in the Green St. Girls series by N.D. Jackson and is a enjoyable contemporary romance story. ND’s writing has an easy flow to it and has done a good job in keeping the reader engaged and being able to get lost in the story. The characters are well developed and complex and well written, that I was hooked from the very beginning so much, so I didn’t want to put down. ND has the knack for drawing you in and being able to feel exactly what the characters were going through. You will find yourself laughing, feeling sad, frustrated and the tension right along with them.

I can’t to see what comes next.

Master Descallia is the first book in the Masters of the Consulate series by Sylvia Black. Sylvia is a new author to me, and I was hoping this paranormal tale would be enjoyable. But what I got was so much more. This dark Vampire romance story instantly drew me in and hooked in deep, so much so that I was suddenly lost to the beauty of the harsh world that Sylvia had created right from the start. It is fast paced, intense, full of suspense and certainly sizzling. You know it’s a good story when you see your husband standing there waving his arms at you because you are so lost in the story that you didn’t hear him the first two times. I wish it were a little longer.

Avenging Devil Part 2: Satan’s Devils MC San Diego by Manda Mellett. Ah Manda, Manda, Manda, girl you hit it each and every time. I always feel like I am repeating myself because everything I have said before holds true with each and every book. Yes, she is one of the best MC writers I have ever come across. Yes, she knows how to weave her tales drawing the reader in to her worlds with her wonderful narrative. Yes, she writes a fun ride filled with action and suspense. Yes, her characters are hot, alpha and protectors of those they love. Swoon!

Whelp, this second part of the story was just as intense as the first part. Thank God I didn’t have to wait long for it to come out. Just when you think that Manda has written everything MC to death, she continually surprises me and comes up with something that you do not expect and cannot help but get lost in. No spoilers from me. Nope.

Sign Steal Deliver: A Paranormal Chick Lit Novel (Gods of Thunder MC) by Carrie Pulkinen is a paranormal rom com. And this sums up this wonderful story “a royal witch with a capital B”, I love it this statement, hubby says this about me, but I digress. I can honestly say that I have not read anything from Carrie that I have not loved. Romantic comedies are her niche, and she does is so well. This sweet and heart-warming tale will have you falling in love with the characters. Not only that you will laugh your ar*se off. With shifters and Greek Gods, magic, and witches it has a little bit of everything for a nice peaceful escape from reality.

This is a must-read psychological thriller by J.D. Spero. Boy on Hold is a YA cozy mystery and a surprising tale. It is told in multiple POV’s, which I love, giving you an insight into what the characters are thinking and who they are. JD gives us a raw look at mental illness, drug addictions, murder and more all taking place in a small town. There is also secrets waiting to be unfolded, truths waiting to be found, peeling back layer by layer of mystery to get to the truth of the plot.

Matthew Huntley’s Azrael is his debut book and I was excited to see what this new author had to offer. Let me tell you I was pleasantly surprised. Matt gives us a raw and unbridled look at a serial killer. With complex characters and enough twists and turns to put a roller coaster to shame. Matt has created a world of murder and mayhem and of things that goes bump in the night. It looks at those that bring them to justice and how easy it is to become so entrenched in catching a killer.

Levi Andrews gave his heart and soul to catch a killer and it left very real scars on his psyche. When a string of new string of murders start to occur will he be able to help out or will he keep his own sanity and stay clear of it all? His calling after all is to keep the world safe………

Houses of Deception (The Madeline Dawkins Series Book 6) by Cynthia Hamilton is another great addition to this mystery series. Cynthia knows how to write a good mystery. Her narrative always takes the reader on a journey that is as suspenseful and intriguing as it is mysterious. I love the wonderful and lovable characters she infuses so much heart and soul into. I love the twists and trying to see where Cynthia is taking us, but I usually get it wrong.

I have said it before, and I will say it again I adore both Madeline and Mike as a team and the way they think and solve their mysteries. Nothing is ever as it seems, and this may be the one time they may be in way over their heads.

I highly recommend this series.

An Enduring Love by Wareeze Woodson is an historical romance story. I have mixed feelings about this book. The premise was good, but boy did I not like the male MC. I have never wanted to do bodily harm so much as I wanted to inflict on him. He was an arrogant SOB with only a care in the world for himself. The angst and fear and horror that his wife went through did not even faze him. I almost gave up but kept going as I have enjoyed other works by Wareeze. My heart broke for and all she had to endure. This was not my idea of an enduring love for me. BUT that does not mean that you will not enjoy it so give it a go.

Finding It All is the first book in the Finding Happiness In Harmony. It is a slow burn small town romance by Stacey Komosinski. I have not read any of Stacey’s work before and found out this was her debut book. It took me a while to get into the story as the beginning is slow paced. This story is written in the third person, not a bad thing, just took me a while to get into and there was not always a clear delineation of who was speaking. It is written in multiple POV’s which I love. I really enjoyed the premise of this sweet romance, but it needed something more in the way it is told. The characters are sweet and there is that sweet innocence in their relationships with men, and their friendships. I look forward to watch Stacey grow as an author.

Dark Bastard is a Dark Sparrow Novel by India Kells. India is one of those authors that is a must grab her book as soon as it appears. It is a fantastic series and Dark Bastard is another wonderful book in this series. You have to read the books in order, so you get the full background and understanding of just who these alpha men are. Trust me you will fall in love with them. India’s stories are compelling and enthralling due to her carefully woven threads that are full of fear, frustration, and angst which is palpable. Dark Bastard is another action packed read with you on the edge of the seat whilst we journey along with the men that India puts through their paces and we right along with them.

Pet Me: The Toye Shoppe 1 by Angelique Jurd is a sweet MM romance story. Unfortunately, there are a few problems that often stopped the easy flow of the narrative. But having said this it was still a fun and cute read. Our MC is a vulnerable and shy young man who is learning to explore who he is and what he likes. His vulnerability makes him so endearing to any reader because I am sure we all want to mother him. There is angst and anxiety and motions that tug at your heart.

The Forsaken: Wraith by Martin Ferguson is an intriguing YA fantasy paranormal story. I really enjoyed Martin’s debut series, Relic Hunters and was excited to see what The Forsaken was all about. Martin never fails to deliver an action-packed tale with plenty of danger and thrills, and mystery. This is an adventure that is addictive and has all the ingredients that make for a good read and the pages turning. This is an exciting new world and characters.

Alena was hidden away to save her. She is the very thing that she is employed to hunt. She is the very thing she can never reveal. She is the very thing she must keep hidden.

I look forward to seeing what Martin gives us next.

But his are not the only scars around town. There is a sweet little Librarian who has scars of her own from the past. This story has a little bit of everything to keep the pages turning and giving you the feels

But it is not just storying it is an education. A lot of passion and heart and soul has gone into this book, and it shows in Yvonne’s writing. It is like leaving a legacy and a record of events to allow word to remain alive for others to keep long into the future. It is original and it is thought provoking that will take you on life’s journey. This inspiring story is short and quick, but it packs a punch. I wish it were longer.

Where he loves to live life to its fullest and on the edge and she just plods along keeping to the safe zone. It is a story of opposites attract. But is this enough for a lasting romance? With a little drama and angst, humour and wittiness, it was nice to snuggle up with a hot chocolate, under a blanket with the heater on and escape from reality for a few hours.

Glenn Maynard’s, Chatroom with a View is a creepy tale. This thriller is dark. The character equally so as everything that is done is eerily calculated and all in the name of revenge and at those that have slighted him. There is violence and a whole plethora of everything that goes with a dysfunctional family and psychotic thoughts and actions.

The question though is does the DNA of a family murderer pass on down the line to create more murderers? There are a lot of moving pieces in this tale and the ending felt a bit rushed and a bit of a letdown.

I did work out what was going on, but it was still nice to escape from reality and have some me time. So, if you feel like getting away from it all for a few hours grab a copy and a drink and settle in.

Caim (Antipodes Book 4) by T.S. Simons is a Dystopian post-apocalyptic, story. Expect the unexpected and that is what I like about TS’s writing. I thought book 3 was my favourite of the series but it would seem that this one is, which means they are getting better with each book. I have to say that my emotions from this book were running higher than normal. TS just loves taking her characters and readers on a roller coaster of an adventure. Just when they thought they were safe and settled their worlds are once again thrown into chaos.

I will say it again but make sure to read the books in order to ensure you have the full background on each of the characters and their struggles and lives so far.

There are a lot of side characters and little tales of their own. With murder and rustling and bank robberies, and adventure this is more than just a romance story it is also a murder mystery and a cozy mystery all rolled into one.

Juniper Lake and its inhabitants have become family. This is a place where everyone is more than a little different but are family. With all sorts of magical beings this is the place to be. If you have not read any of Naomi’s work, then you better get hopping and start at the beginning because you are missing out. Naomi holds a place as one of my fav authors. I am sorry to see the series end but excited to see what she does next.

Out of Time is the fourth book in the Westbeach Series by Toni Denise. Toni is a new author to me, and I only realised it was the fourth book in the series after I had finished it because I don’t read the covers or blurbs. However, from what I can gather the other books all have different stories even though the characters intertwine some, and I did not feel like I was missing out. Out of Time is full of mystery, suspense and romance and twist and turns to keep you intrigued and you will definitely enjoy it. I will be going back to the start of the series to see what I missed.

The Murders of Lillian Ross by Sirena Van Schaik is just Wow. I love true crime shows on tv and have always wanted to get into the mind of a killer just to find out how they tick. This story is a winner in my book. Sirena does not skimp on the details of darker things like murder and how a murderer thinks, and it makes for a thrilling and engrossing read. I love the way Sirena writes and weaves all the threads so intricately and seamlessly that she gives you a gripping tale. It is written so well written that I had to check to see if this was a real-life account of a real murder. It isn’t but my god it feels like it. I was so captivated that once I had started this book, I could not put it down until I had read all the way through.

Danielle Jacks, The Heart of Baker’s Bay is a sweet contemporary seaside romance. With wonderful characters, a beautiful setting and not to mention the baked goods it is one read you do not want to miss out on. Danielle has written this story beautifully and I cannot find a fault with it. This is one of my favourite books I have read this year. A new town, a new start to help her Gran, Jody finds more than she thought she would ever find. Unfortunately, Adam likes his town just the way it is and outsiders are not welcome. Makes for an interestingly cute read.

It is one story that will definitely make your heartache. I really like Stephanie’s work, the characters. I so wanted karma to get the male MC and kick his behind and then some and then I wanted to shake the female MC. But I still enjoyed it.

Is it old friends and acquaintances? Or is it the women who throw themselves at him and stab him in the back in his next breath? Certainly, couldn’t be those ensconced in the underworld, could it?
