R. Weir never fails to deliver an outstanding tale and this book, Mann in the Crossfire: A Jarvis Mann Hardboiled Detective Mystery Novel (Jarvis Mann Detective Book 8) is no exception. An action-packed thriller, crime story is what he does best. In this installment Jarvis finds himself in the crossfire and in more trouble that he has ever been in before. Just who can he trust? Is it old friends and acquaintances? Or is it the women who throw themselves at him and stab him in the back in his next breath? Certainly, couldn’t be those ensconced in the underworld, could it?
