Amnesia (Centrifuge Duet, #1) by Kylie Hillman – Review by Sheri Schrader

Amnesia (Centrifuge Duet, #1)Amnesia by Kylie Hillman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Amnesia by Kylie Hillman is the first in the Centrifuge Duet series. This is a psychological thriller with lots of twists and turns. Dr. Jax Ray is from a wealthy family he has only wanted Amber St. George since they were teens. The families are both well to do and have always wanted the two to marry and secure the future of the families. The problem is Jax will go to any extremes to get Amber and keep her for himself. He has now come up with the ultimate plan. Amber is put into an amnesia state that Jax controls. How does she know what is real and false memories when you have to trust the man who has put you into this state?
This is a gripping tale of terror. The characters are believable. Jax is terrifying in his manipulation of Amber and to control the situation. Amber is someone I was rooting for to overcome Jax. She is strong when she has her memories and is trying to figure out her situation. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and could not put it down. I wanted to know how someone could arrange this situation and make it work. This was a terrifying tale of abuse, mental and physical.
I recommend this story if you like to be kept on the edge of your seat and interesting characters. I will be reading the second book as soon as I can. I want to know where the story goes.
