Good work Authors you did well; James Chambers / Jody Lynn Nye / Marc L. Abbott / Rachel A. Brune / Teel James Glenn / Jeffrey Lyman / Bernie Mojzes / Carol Gyzander / F.R. Michaels / Danielle Ackley-McPhail / Maxwell I. Gold / Hildy Silverman / Will McDermott

Just look at the wonderful cover which promises to reveal all the unknown, dire and devilish secrets inside. Each author brings their own uniqueness, their own twists, their own quirks, their own passion to the table and do it so credibly.

Each story brings cosmic horror, eldritch menace, destruction, chaos, mayhem, and madness which is exciting because you never know what you are going to get and that adds to the anticipation of things to come. Each story is as intriguing as it is engrossing and will have you on the edge each and every time.

Beware humanity for you are nothing to the powerful wreaking havoc wherever they go.

Amy’s Betrayal is the second intriguing book in the Gemstone Massacre series. Make sure to read the first book Amy’s Rebellion as the books follow on. The series is an intriguing New Adult dark fantasy stories. I would also strongly suggest reading War of the Twin Swords before these two as it tells of the war and clans.
Julia packs a lot into her tales that keeps the reader engaged right the way through she has also written characters that are LGBTQIA+ inclusive. There are strong FMC’s and a cast of many with different cultures to wrap your head around that can be a bit much at times trying to remember it all. This urban fantasy story has Arthurian legends with a twist that make it that much more interesting.
Amy’s Betrayal is easily imaged due to Julia’s rich and vivid telling. With drama, action, and suspense, magic, magical lands, friendship, enchantress’s, assassins, gemstones, familiars, seers, evil intensions, a corrupt Magic Council, and shifters there is much for paranormal fantasy lovers to enjoy.
Amy can’t trust all around her and finds she needs to step up and take control before all is destroyed. God help anyone or anything that stands in her way.

Unfortunately, this is the fifth, and final book to The Olympic Peninsula series. Read the books in order otherwise you don’t get an idea of who the others in the family are. All our favourite characters from the other four books are back.
Set at Christmas time we get all the senses of this magical time of year as the O’Connell’s celebrate together. With a cast of many complex characters and several plots Cat has done a great job of pulling it all together in one well-woven drama filled tale.
Edward is the eldest brother to the O’Connell clan and has walked away from his faith and is trying to find himself.
Lisette owns a café in the small town but is a haunted woman. She is hiding a lot of secrets with a past that would make the devil look good.
This compelling read was done well and is an engrossing conclusion to this series.

Raccoon Reunion captivates and entertains young minds and had my grandson’s full attention. I like that they learn from Terri’s stories opening them up to immeasurable possibilities.
This is a delightful picture book that tells the tale of one raccoon who is unsure of his outing and overcomes his fear of the unknown and the value of helping others. This cute story becomes even more dimensional with the beautiful illustrations by Pei Jen.
A great addition to a school library, library, or in the family home.

This very dark and twisted thriller will have fans of the Twilight Zone & Freddie Kruger jumping in to read. Christopher Alan Broadstone pulls out all the stops in this macabre tale. He uses suspense, tension, and excitement to engage the audience to evoke strong emotional responses. His use of Greek mythology is interesting but better used when dispersed throughout the tale. It pulls the reader from the main game of engagement.
The Puzzleman is graphic, viscous, lurid, and gruesome, and the thing nightmares are made from. You will be pulled from one extreme to another and often feel like you have been in a car crash.
There is a cast of many and a lot happening in this book and at times would have been better spent with a few less words. I think you will either love it or hate it, but true lovers of this genre will love it.
Read if you dare!

Between Managing Mischief book 2 & Discovering Desire book 3 in the Shattered Embrace Series, I made a little side trip & read Whispers in Wonderland where Derek’s story started. You don’t have to, but I suggest you do read it first & the first two books because they work well together, and you are missing out.
Hidden Mischief & Managing Mischief are the first two book where they take us into the life of the sinful Club Shattered Embrace where your deepest & darkest desires come to life. It takes us into the world that is captivating & complex.
Club Shattered Embrace is the place to be when letting go of your inner inhibitions. A place to let go. A place where dominance & the power that one’s body secretly yearns. This is a sexy, sizzling, erotic, sensual tale that will have you sitting up & taking notice.
In Discovering Desire things heat up. You are in his world where he can take you to a place only, he can take you. A place of wonton behaviour & self-discovery. A pleasure you have never known before. But just as the club will pull you in so does the story where our MC will do whatever it takes to save those, he loves from a very disturbed man, even if he is his brother.
I need more.

I couldn’t get enough after reading Trusting Love, so I jumped straight into this book Finding Love. I don’t usually pay much attention to covers but the covers so far in this series have caught my eye & they fit with the stories well.
This is Rachel & Miguel’s story. Sometimes it feels like you go through a never-ending cycle of Mr Wrongs & a Mr Right will never turn up & that is certainly the case for Rachel. Miguel is everyone’s perfect book boyfriend.
There are characters we have met before & new ones to welcome into the fold. This RomCom is filled with many emotions, that will make you laugh, cause a sniffle or two & sometimes there is the outright sweetness & cringe factor with a little quirkiness thrown in.
Finding Love is filled with music, witty banter, families, heartache, & heartbreak but there has never been a romance that has been so sweet & a lot quirky.
Bring on the third book in the Trilogy.

I loved the Trading Heartbeats trilogy & now Tess has her own Trilogy in Clumsy Litte Hearts. I was so excited when I saw this, so I clicked, & it became mine.
Julie has the knack to have found the perfect formula to a perfect love story. Anybody that has not read anything by Julie, I encourage you to do so. I know you won’t be disappointed because I have become addicted. There is much to learn in Julie’s language of love.
Trusting Love is a wonderfully passionate & steamy tale. The characters are beautifully written, & I have fallen in love again. This complex tale is woven together with broken hearts, broken trust, broken souls, love, sweat, passion, pain, tears, & humour. It is an emotive tale yet there are times that had me laughing as well.
I was so enamoured with this story that I read it in one go. I enjoyed it so much I am off to read the next book in the Trilogy, Finding Love.

I have read just about all of MK’s books most I have absolutely loved others I have liked but felt they needed more.
Ashes is the first book in this Modern-Day Fairy tale series & this book Red is the second. So be sure to start at the first book as they share characters. With old & new characters Red continues on from it.
There is a lot going on in this short story which is a tale of loss, love, drama, angst & magical creatures as well as magic.
Want to know what the classic Little Red Riding Hood looks like with a modern-day twist well look no further here it is because I am not giving away anything.

Cole Silverthorne is a hardnosed detective and at times a pain in the ar$e, letting nothing stand in his way of finding the culprit and this is one killer he has been after for a very long time. A killer he is determined to bring to justice. But he is now stepping on his toes when it comes to Maya. She may just be his downfall.
This psychological and twisted thriller will have you sitting to attention with shivers down your spine and wracking your brain. The twists and turns are well done I worked it out earlyish on, well almost. But of course, I had to keep reading. VJ has you chasing tails all over the place.
Diamond Valley home of the rich has become a killer’s playground. A place for their art to be displayed.
Homicidal Innocence is a cleverly crafted and complex tale and one of those must reads where the intensity, the intrigue, the suspense, the chills may just be too much to bear. Are you brave enough?

“Sometimes, life’s most beautiful surprises come from the heart’s quietest desires.” I love this.
Small town romances are often the best stories with their quirky and nosy neighbours and that is the case with this book. I have only read one other book by Ashley Erin and really enjoyed it so was happy to snatch this one up.
By Your Side is a beautiful second chance contemporary romance will leave you swooning. It is well written and gives you all the feels even more so as it is told in dual POV’s. Ashley has a way of writing characters that will melt your heart.
She thought she had one great love and would never find another. At least that’s what her heart felt. Moving on had never been so hard.
One broken heart, one old house, one grumpy contractor, one small town betting against her.
I read it in one sitting as I was truly hooked.

An interesting concept to teaching children opposite words. Aimed for children ages 4-8 the colourful illustrations make it easier for them to understand and pick up. Opposite Day for Dinopotamus is interactive and interesting making learning fun for kids. Read along as Dinopotamus and children have fun with Opposite’s Day and learn as they go each in their own way.
Whilst my four year old grandson had some trouble determining opposite’s my seven year old grandson was getting the hang of it by the story ended.
As always Lois’s books are good for anyone to enjoy from family, schools and libraries just to name a few.

The old woman knew what she was about when she made stipulations in her will. It just took Kenna a while to understand that. I mean it’s the last thing on your mind when you run to a place of solace when your entire world has crumbled before your eyes. Not to mention the grumpy neighbour she must endure.
Dec didn’t know what it was about her, but he could not deny the pull in her direction every time he saw her. Only his secrets and past are the things that could keep them a part.
Marika writes endearing characters that make you laugh. Falling in love with Kenna and Dec was so easy and the things they got up to at times that ended in disaster at times making this a fun, adventurous and sweet second chance RomCom.
It was great to see Kenna go from a broken-down girl who had lost her self esteem to a strong, sassy, capable woman. Watching Dec finally let go of his past and live again made my heart sing. But its not just these two there are a cast of others that are just as fun too.
Salt Love is the perfect blend of sexy, spicey, hotness and some time alone to enjoy it.

I really enjoyed the first book in the series Good Enough which was Nicoles debut book, and I said she is an author to watch out for and after reading this book I stand by that statement. I have been anxiously waiting for this book to come out.
Bad Enough is TB and Sylvan’s story where the two could not be more different. He’s the bad boy who will do what ever it takes to get what is needed. She is totally at the other end of the spectrum.
This engrossing book out did the first one and the Deadman Tribe; hot sexy alpha military-security Navy SEAL men that makes you want to keep the team around. Ooohlala! The characters are strong, well developed and most definitely complex. These men are dedicated, loyal to a fault and I found myself laughing at times with their wit and banter.
Bad Enough is a fast paced cleverly woven romantic suspense story. It flowed seamlessly and effortlessly even with its complex and multilayered plot. Nicole puts them through their paces with danger in spades, intrigue, lots of tension and suspense. I was engrossed; I couldn’t get enough. I like stories that have me on the edge and Nicole does that with these books.
I am addicted to the Deadman’s Tribe! I want more.

In the Midst of Omens is a loose retelling of Gilgamesh a mythological fantasy reminiscent of Beauty and the Beast with a LGBT twist. It is not only a MM romantasy tale it also has Polyamorous relationships. Nicole blends mythology, fantasy and romance into a vivid world of gods of ancient times. She has pulled mythological legends from dusty old books and given them a new lease on life and voices.

The characters are complex and well written. It is a darker slow burn romantic tale of Gilgamesh and the different dynamics and various relationships. Enkidu is an endearing character with his actions and Shamhat kicks ar$e and takes no prisoners and fights for what she wants.

It is a world of action, battles, mythical creatures, passion and more. I also enjoyed the historical value of the mythological king from ancient Mesopotamian times the man behind the story. It did end on a cliffy, but there is a book two coming.

In the Midst of Omens was an interesting tale and one for those who love mythology, retellings and LGBT romance stories. As this is book one of The Legacy of Gilgamesh I am interested to see where it goes.

And it all started with Evil Sushi followed by Sashimi and now Wasabi. They each follow on from the other, so if you haven’t read the first two books, I highly recommend that you do so before diving into this book because you will be missing a major part of the storyline.
C.A. is an author that is full of surprises. I love that she jumps from genre to genre but also depth to depth with every tale she writes. It’s why she is a bestselling author.
Wasabi is another unique thriller from the talented C.A. I love the darkness she infuses in her stories. It has a little bit of everything and aspects of mystery, suspense, horror, paranormal/supernatural, sci-fi, dystopian and action. Throw in some creepiness and some chills and you can’t put it down. It is a past paced cleverly woven tale with a well-developed plot that is original, intriguing and flows smooth.
With twists and unexpected turns, danger and anger, secrets and lies, a pandemic and mayhem, mutations and so much more.
The sea is a dangerous place. Beware what is hidden in its depths and what floats to the surface. Imagine you are now the bottom feeder and the top of IT’s list, and it wants food, and that food is you. What’s left of the world is in an uproar. What would you do to survive?
I loved it.

The Love on Tap series has had me enthralled, delighted and in fits of laughter and Stout of My League may just be the icing on the top of them all. Make sure to read them in order as Sylvie incorporates some spoilers from the first three books. I have no idea where Sylvie gets her book titles from, but I love them.
In this small-town forbidden romance, there is Joey who is as warm as he is sweet. He’s just withholding the truth just for now he will tell her. That is just asking for disaster if you ask me.
With four older brothers who don’t mind meddling in her life & going overboard whenever a man comes near her, Lynn is at her wits end. Can you divorce siblings?
And the fun begins. It is funny, with wonderful characters, with witty banter, mayhem and madness, romance and did I mention sexy too boot. Its enchanting, engaging, delightful, interesting and its enticing.
I must add that the cover pops too. I like it.
I look forward to seeing what Sylvie has in store for us next.

Whilst I enjoyed the first book, I found I liked this one a little more, but I found I had a few unanswered questions as this book finished. I am hoping that David reveals all in the third book though. Being the second book in The House on the Hill series David continues with the fear and creep factor, the tension, the drama, the suspense and the psychological thrills.
There are some characters you will love and others you will love to hate. There is more creepiness, more horror and more strange things happening in the town. Beware the eeriness pulls you in but having you wanting to keep your distance at the same time. The story travels slowly at first but then bam! picks up further along.
Something is out there, and it may just be darker than the night sky. The only way to find out is to read it yourself. It almost reminds me of the stories in the TV series of old The Twilight Zone. If you like psychological thrillers, then give it a go.
I wonder what book three brings.

This cozy mystery has talking cats well she can talk to one human. But the news to tell sure isn’t good. It’s a murder right in their beloved adventure park. Leaving nothing to chance they decide to act. They gather pieces together to bring down a killer to prove their friends and not the furry four-legged kind’s innocence. Journey along as they try to figure out who had the motivation and opportunity to commit the deadly deed.
This cute tale takes you on an adventure of the kind you have not read before.
I enjoy reading K.L.’s tales they are fun, a little quirky, a little dangerous but they always make me laugh.

Being on his own for many years with a broken heart has turned this cowboy into a grumpy man. Whilst the kindergarten teacher may have turned his eye it was their age difference that stilled his hand. She was sunshine and roses and he was all thorns and bristles. But they both have a past that affects them.
Rachelle did a good job of defining them and their lives, but they didn’t have much integration as a couple which I would have liked to see. The characters in the book felt like they were more apart instead of sharing their lives.
We did get to revisit with characters from the first book as Catch A Cowboy is the second book in the Match Made in Montana series.

There is suspense, action, danger, tension angst, chemistry and intrigue something for everyone.
Vague Directions is an interesting urban fantasy set in the modern world. Starts out in the setting of a Renfest, a medieval SCA but there is a twist. It was fun to read about as I have often wondered about going to one of these events.
Heather was swept away into medieval times and one dashing and charming stranger Sir Roland. Things take on a deadly hue when Heather realises there is more to the darkness, more lurking in the shadows. But who can she trust. Who is friend or foe?
This paranormal fantasy tale is fun and intriguing with unusual shifters, attempted kidnappings, prophetic owls, romance and more.

Flying at Recess is a magical fantasy children’s picture book where our main character Soara can fly. Lucky girl. Imagine having the ability to fly. I think everyone has thought about flying anywhere you want to go.
This whimsical tale will take the young children on an adventure soaring through the sky. All they have to do is close their eyes too to see it to.
I love the beautiful illustrations by the talented Ada Konewki. They capture the magic of Soara’s adventure and her enthusiasm to fly is enticing but the pictures invite children to use their imagination.
There is always something to learn in Lois’s stories and this one is no different.

Sexy? Oh yeah!
Hot? Like a Tamali
Tension? Like a tight rope
On fire? Burning bright and hot

This is the spicy addition of The Music That Ties Us after all. It is a slow burn romance at first then it lights up like a fire in the night. I wonder how I have not come across this author before now.

Nicolette has a way with words that brings the story to life with superbly written characters although there were times when I wanted to shake Cadence and get her to walk away. I wondered if they would ever get their act together. They each have their own pasts to deal with, but they can’t seem to escape them. With evil exes on the scene that I wanted to do bodily harm to.

The Music That Ties Us gave me all the feels in all the right and wrong places. It is a very emotive story, and it is hard to put aside but unfortunately work had other ideas. I read it every waking minute because I was so wrapped up in the story.

I will be read other works by this author.

Sparky of Bunker Hill is back along with the crazy cast from the Creepy House mansion. This fun cosy mystery is an historical tale is set in the 1930’s in the Great Depression era.
Monkey Island Murder is full of chills, thrills, mayhem and laughter. What lengths would you go to, to help a friend?
Sparky our amateur sleuth is willing to do anything to help her friend and Boss who has been implicated in a murder. She sets about to prove his innocence but in doing so she has to wade through many twists and turns and ups and downs to get there. Unfortunately for street-smart Sparky trouble is her middle name. She is one character that you will fall In love with.
Rosalind’s narrative lends to a vivid insight of the times and troubles of Sparky’s world. I enjoyed the wit and banter infused in the story.
Dig into the mayhem and madness.

Parker was a legend, until he wasn’t. He was once at the top of his game, until he wasn’t. He might look like he was dealing with his past, but he wasn’t. He is a hot mess.
In Brooke’s typical way Whiskey Throttle explodes onto the scene. I have fallen in love with the Moto X series. It is full of drama and angst. It is hot, steamy and sexy. The characters are complex bad boys and sassy girls, all love the same thing, fast bikes in the Motorcross world. Characters that make you hope beyond all hope and fall in love with them.
Brooke weaves a mean tale on and off the bikes that starts from the word go and nothing is off limits right through out. Even by the time you finish you want more.
Definitely a roller-coaster ride of emotions going on in this tale.
Can Parker pull himself together? I’m not going to say, that’s for you to find out.

I just finished reading Ten Little Sandpipers to my grandboys and they wanted to start reading this one straightaway.
As with the other wonderful books Ten Little Sea Turtles is one of the Marine Life Counting Collection. Doesn’t matter what young age the kids are they will be enchanted when they see the little Sea Turtles and learn all about them, where they are found and other things about Marine life.
This counting book it is full of fun facts and educational information. The bright and colourful pictures help the story along and which is told in an interactive and rhyming way.
With a bright spark in their eyes, I could see their little imaginations working as they learned about life under the sea by counting. The added bonus that Kim has included is for you to download a song that makes it even more fun to learn.
As with the others this adorable adventure story helps bring the sea to life for little ones.
