Vacation Flirtation…or More? (Winter Getaway Romance Series) by Stacey Komosinski – Review by Jenni Bishop

Vacation Flirtation...or More?Vacation Flirtation…or More? by Stacey Komosinski
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Vacation Flirtation…or More? Is a fun and sexy Rom Com and the first book in the Winter Getaway romance series even though it is a standalone book. It is a nice and easy read that will lighten your day as you dip our toes in the sand and surf in Turks and Caicos.

Romantic getaway – check
Sun – check
Surf – check
Alcohol – check
Sexy man – check

Opposites attract in this tale where the chemistry is hot, steamy and sexy and jumps off the page. I loved the playful & sometimes sassy banter between the characters that had me laughing out loud. You will need a drink or two to cool down.

It has been nice to see the growth of Stacey as a writer from her first book to this book.

Giuliana Giovanni’s can’t keep her eyes off one hella hot mystery man who sets her pulse pumping.

Landon Parker is in the Caribbean for one thing and one thing only that is until he see one sexy woman who makes his brain go to mush. But will his secrets come between them?

Vacation Flirtation is an engaging book that will have you believing in love and wanting to float away on your own holiday.

Test of the Four: Book Two of The Serrulata Saga by A.E. Bennett – Review by Jenni Bishop

Test of the Four (The Serrulata Saga, #2)Test of the Four by A.E. Bennett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 stars
I really enjoyed the first book Gathering of the Four in The Serrulata series and was excited to get stuck into the second book Test of the Four. I do recommend reading Gathering of the Four first.
The gang is back. A.E. puts Leora, Aurora, Leopold and Roland through their paces and it is not all fun and rainbows. They are injured, battered and bruised mentally and physically, running from evil, in danger, held captive, come into powers, even find themselves in different times and places plus so much more. A.E has even turned up the heat in this one in more than one way.
This intriguing series is a futuristic dystopian sci fi tale and the first book in this series. As with the first book A.E. wove together intricate multi-layered threads that draw the reader in. The world building and the storytelling gives a vivid picture of this post-apocalyptic world and the compelling characters. The story told in multiple POV’s giving us a broader picture and depth of who the characters are and what they feel.
This intriguing read takes us on an adventure that makes you feel part of the story and had me wanting more.
As I said about the first book, A.E. has set the stage where there are so many options and angles to explore that makes look forward to what could come next.
Do yourself a favour and grab a copy if you love sci fi tales and if you don’t, I can guarantee you will like this series.

Fashionably Fake (Kings of Screen Series) by Morgana Bevan – Review by Jenni Bishop

Fashionably Fake (Kings of Screen, #4)Fashionably Fake by Morgana Bevan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Fashionably Fake is the fourth book in the Kings of Screen series by Morgana. The books in this series can be read as standalones although start at the beginning because you never know what you may be missing. It is a close proximity romance tale in the heart of all the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.
As with the other books in the series it is a light-hearted contemporary romance is a quick and easy read. It is a fun and flirty fake relationship friends to lover’s trope. With a little sass, a lot of chemistry, bit of angst and dash of drama it makes for an interesting journey.
It seems Hollywood is not at all a glamourous as people believe. It is a place where you can easily get caught up in the hype, the not so glamourous side of things and the always ever-present people around you demanding things. Is there really time for love or the farce of one.
Ros and Jackson relationship has a lot of people standing in their way making it harder for them than it has to be. I loved the easy banter and between them. The story is told in dual POV giving an insider edge to the characters and who they are.
She’s about to lose it all but when given an offer she can’t refuse her luck is just about to change.
He needs to sort himself out or he is going to lose it all but maybe she is the solution to his problem.
If you want to know what happens then have a read.
I look forward to more in the series.

Resisting NatureResisting Nature by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was happy to see a new book by Brooke May was out and couldn’t wait to get it in my hot little hands. There is not one book that Brooke has written that I have not loved. I like that she writes several genres and always comes up with a good storyline but paranormal is my first love. Resisting Nature is a paranormal romance tale in the Powder River Pack series. Make sure you read them in order, or you are missing out on all this alpha goodness.
With fated mates and alpha shifters, werewolves, love, action, drama, passion, heartache, pain, hope, secrets, longing and more. This is my favourite book to date and love the characters that are a part of this world. They are interesting and well developed and it’s hard not to like them. There are also times where you find yourself laughing as well.
Alexa is trying to start over and move on from the mess that was her life. She wants a peaceful life, a good life only if the past stays in the past. Is l ready to let someone in? Could she truly be happy?
Miles has never been one to have control when he sees something he wants. S is more than something he wants she is his fated one. He will make sure all she sees is him. He finds the one thing that will make his life complete, but will she accept him or will her past keep them apart?

Kingdom of the Oceans (Relic Hunters Book 6)Kingdom of the Oceans by Martin Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I just finished reading Betrayal of the Gods and realised there was another book to get my hands on. Kingdom of the Oceans is the sixth tale in this series that never fails to take you on an exciting adventure into the unknown but filled with historical facts and fiction.
Martin Ferguson’s Relic Hunters series reminds me of the TV series of the same name plus others like it, Blood and Treasure, National Treasure and the like.
I have said it before, and I will say it again whether you are a YA or in your sixties this adventure story is one you will not want to put down. It has it all to make it an epic read with thrills, mystery, drama and danger that will have your heart pumping as the Adam and Matt chase after the mystical lost kingdom of Atlantis with the bad guys hot on their tails.
With some cleverly woven threads, a few twists turns and an engaging and engrossing storyline this is one you do not want to miss. Make sure to read all the books in order to see what other adventures the Relic team get to go on.
As usual I can’t wait for more from Martin as he never lets me down.

Cray Saves the Day is another fun, bright and colourful picture book.
As with the first book it is full of unique and colourful characters with a rhyming narrative. It is a good story with a message that teaches children the importance of caring for the environment.
The story is fun and engaging as Cray and his friends take it upon themselves to set an example of what cleaning up after yourself should be and protecting the environment wherever you are.

Fade into the Night (Philly Heat Series) by Becky Flade – Review by Jenni Bishop

Fade Into the Night (Philly Heat series, #5)Fade Into the Night by Becky Flade
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 stars

Fade into the Night is another fantastic book in the intriguing Philly Heat series.
Becky is a master at cleverly weaving stories that are engaging, mysterious, full of thrills, and are as compelling as they are engrossing. Twists and turns abound that you don’t see coming. Make sure you read these books in order because they are full of everything you could want in a romance with danger, action and thrills.
There are so many secrets, lies, threats, and evil just waiting to jump out at you. The fear and suspense is so palpable that I had to turn on all the lights. Add in romance and drama and the story ended all too soon as I was so lost in the story. Sleep was not on the agenda until I finished this book.
I love that Becky’s stories are told through multiple POV’s as you really get inside the characters heads and know what they are thinking and learn who they are better. These wonderful characters are well written, complex and fully realised. I was invested in them and yelled at the book and jumping up and down trying to help them. Yeah, hubby thought I was crazy, well crazier than normal!
Noah is after a killer but this one has gone a step too far and hurt someone close to him. He is determined that nothing more will happen to her but with a killer on the lose can he stop them before he loses it all. But on top of that his secrets are about to be revealed unless he can stop them.
Sadie is not the same woman she was not long ago. With evil out there lurking in the shadows her life will never be the same again. The pain, the trauma, the fear that goes along with that has broken her.
What can you do when evil is hiding in plain sight and you are the one that got away?
I recommend you read Fade into the Night, I know you will love it.

Cutter: Devils' Spawn DaddiesCutter: Devils’ Spawn Daddies by Victoria Saccenti
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cutter is a suspenseful and action-packed tale and the engrossing first book in the MC Devils’ Spawn Daddies series.
Victoria’s narrative draws you in to the BDSM world with Doms/Subs that is seductive and enticing. It contains DDMG play which I can take or leave but a dark and sexy world of BDSM and hot and sexy men are some of my favourites.
The chemistry between these two is off the charts and it interesting to see the dynamics play out in their play.
Emily has stepped up in her world and needs his help more than ever, but can she get him to help her after what she did. Who can she really trust.
Cutter is a Daddy Dominant, and he once again comes face to face with someone who has taken the spotlight in his fantasies many, many, times. When she reaches out to him will he go along with her plan, or will he walk away.
With plenty of action, suspense, drama, danger, tension, angst, emotions, and secrets it is a dangerous and deadly time as they try to take down an MC who are known for trafficking humans and much more.
I can’t wait for the next book.

Nessie and the Viking Gold (Nessie's Grotto)Nessie and the Viking Gold by Lois June Wickstrom
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Nessie and the Viking Gold is the delightful second magical book in the Nessie’s Grotto series. The beautiful cover and illustrations by Sara Silvestris Strand bring the story to life making it an even more imaginative and captivating tale.
The story is 47 pages and is aimed at children aged between 7 -12 years old, but it is a fun read for children of any age. My grandchildren aged 3 and 5 really enjoyed this engaging story even though they could not read it their little eyes lit up as they went on this adventure.
Craig and Linda find themselves caught up in another fantastical adventure with the Loch Ness Monster and the hidden mystical world beneath Loch Ness where there is action, magic and a little suspense.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 stars
National Hug Day seems to be the perfect time for a book called Group Hug although this is more than just a hug it is a spicy MMF tale. You will need a long cool drink just to get through it.
There are three main characters in this steamy ménage à trois. Looking for a roommate or two? Look no further. They say threes a crowd but not in this book. Three is just the right number.
The story is sweet and spicy and has a few twists I never saw coming. There is a bit of angst, a few struggles, a tad of sadness, a lot of fun, some easy banter and let’s not forget the super sexy times that will draw you in.
I love that the story is told in multiple POV it just made me love these characters more. Petra, Weston, and Callum are well-written and likable. The chemistry between this throuple works well Ariella did a great job with them. I just wanted to hug and squeeze them. But don’t forget the dogs they are just as adorable.
There is so much more I could say but I don’t want to give away spoilers. Nope this is one treasure where you need to explore all on your lonesome.
Download the book, you never know what you are missing out on if you don’t.

Master Botosoni (Masters of the Consulate Book 9) by Sylvia Black – Review by Jenni Bishop

Master Botosoni: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate)Master Botosoni: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sylvia, Sylvia, Sylvia, just when I think you have reached the bar you go and reset it and then I have a new favourite book in this series making me feel disloyal as I love all the Masters. It is another titillating dark paranormal, fated mates, enemies to lovers, age-gap, vampire mafia romance tale.
I have been with this series from the beginning and Sylvia knows how to write an epic dark paranormal tale that you are unable to put down once you start. I am always instantly lost in the story and to the beauty of the harsh world that Sylvia created.
Master Botosoni is the explosive ninth book in this series. Masters of the Consulate is one of my favourite series and I was left anticipating the arrival of the next book. Just as well that fabulously dark and deliciously deadly Master Botosoni came along at the right time.
The master’s and fated ones join Master Botosoni as he enlists the help of a psychic to help them find what they need. Master Botosoni soon learns she is much more than he anticipated, and fate always gets her way.
I love that these men are fiercely loyal and will protect what is theirs no matter the cost.
This riveting fast paced tale is intense, full of suspense, danger, and is steaming hot. What is better than super sexy alpha vampires who are vicious and love fiercely, along with psychics, and a host of other paranormal beings. In a place where there is old world factions there is greed and revenge, secret agendas, politics and so much more.

Can the Masters get what they need before they are thrust into a major war and friends and allies turn to foes.
I wonder which Master comes next. I can’t wait.

Book 1 Lovers in Training
Book 2 Maybe Lovers
Book 3 Rainy Day Lovers
Book 4 Encore Lovers

Set in the beautiful Napa of the East Coast where the Rocklyns have a vineyard where family is everything, but love is even better. These adorable well-developed characters drew me into each of their journeys on a sometimes-twisted path to love.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Portrait of Deception is the second gripping book in the Southwest Suspense series. I really enjoyed reading the first book and looked forward to reading more from this author and I wasn’t disappointed.
As with the first book this women’s fiction tale will have your heart pumping with just the right amount of darkness, danger, high drama, suspense and tension palpable enough to keep you on the edge of your seat and glued to the pages.
The story is fast-paced, full of action and the engrossing storylines have mystery and lots of grit and sometimes disturbing events. There are dictators, hidden agendas, betrayals, grudges, questionable behaviours and so much more. It is full of violence, dangerous thugs and thrilling twists and turns that kept me guessing.
The characters are complex, well developed and well written. Let me tell you there are characters that you will love to hate in this book.
Margo finds herself on a twisted trail right into the hands of the shady, dark and dangerous world where she can hopefully remain alive. Being a photographer has never been this deadly.
This twist tale was hard to put down because I had to know what was going to happen next.

Deja Brew All Over Again: A Runaway Bride Romance (Love on Tap Book 3)Deja Brew All Over Again: A Runaway Bride Romance by Sylvie Stewart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Deja Brew All Over Again is the third amazing book in the wonderful Love on Tap series. All the books in the series can be read as a standalone but I say read the first two books Ale’s Fair in Love and War and Smooth Hoperator in the series because you are missing out on some wonderfully fun stories and characters. I have been waiting for Millers story. I really enjoy Sylvie’s easy writing style and eclectic narrative making her one of my favourite authors. This forced proximity steamy Rom Com is light, fun and an easy read.
Deja Brew All Over Again has a great plot, a storyline full of humour, lots of warmth, heart, and little heated chemistry. Set in a small town there is a bit of drama, a little suspense, some cuteness, along with a dash of sweetness. It is a quick read that I wish were longer and is told in several POV’s, making it easy to fall in love.
I was laughing out loud at the sassy antics and easy but snarky banter and found myself loving each and every one of these flawed, well-developed, crazy, quirky and fun-loving characters including a skunk named Mango, a nosy as all get out family and cuteness overload with Bear. The main characters are cute as they dance around one another.
What do you do when you’re faced with a hot as hell runaway bride and her little brother sidekick making demands? There is no way I am sharing anything else because Sylvie’s work is to be unwrapped layer by layer like a fine chocolate.
Sit back and watch the sparks fly in this fabulously entertaining read! Grab it. You know you want to.

Elusive Surrender (Sinful Duets #3)Elusive Surrender by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Elusive Surrender is the third amazing collection of Elusive and Tenacious, the third in this deliciously dark and sinful duet by Via Mari. They are book five and six in the Billionaire Bodyguards series which you will love, love, love.

Elusive: Dark Billionaire Mafia Romance (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 5) by Via Mari is one of my favourites. There is lots of explosive action and deadly suspense, danger, and secrets. I love the alpha hot and sexy men that go above and beyond to protect. They are sexy and charming, witty, and smouldering, dangerous and deadly.

Sheldon and the team have been assigned to protect Alexis when an extremely dangerous man sets his sight on her. It becomes a deadly game of cat and mouse because he will stop at nothing to get her and will go through anyone to get what he wants.

This is another hot and steamy read and a page turner from start to finish.

Tenacious is the sixth book in this titillating Billionaire Bodyguards series by Via Mari. This Dark Billionaire Mafia Romance story is steaming to the point of boiling and has left me wanting more. I have loved the other books in the series, but I think Via has outdone herself with this instalment. I always know I am in safe hands when I get one of Via’s books because her imagination knows no bounds and always gives us a story that has everything needed to make it explode of the page. It is only by sheer willpower that I refrained from turning each page quickly to get to find out what was in store.

Tenacious is indeed the right name for this book where these bodyguards are full of sexiness and alphaness that makes you want to hang on and enjoy the ride and what a ride. With plenty of action and adventure, lots of danger and mystery, buckets full of intrigue and drama, sex trafficking and bad guys, and woohoo, the chemistry and I am not talking about the type in a lab, you find yourself in need of a good stiff drink.

Emotions run rampant as we discover the subtleties that Via has hidden amongst her narrative over the course of the series and just what is in store for us next is anyone’s guess and that is just what I like about her work. Bring it on!

Betrayal of the Gods is the fifth book in the amazing Relic Hunters series. Whether you are a YA or in your sixties like me this adventure story is another exciting tale in this excellent series. This is my favourite in the series to date, but I do tend to think that with the others.
Martin gives his readers plenty of thrills, mystery, drama and danger that jumps off the page. With historical facts mixed in Martin has created something so engrossing that you will not want to put it down.

Be aware that this story could cause triggers. It contains a violent assault.
Good Enough is Nicole Craig’s debut book and the first book in the romantic suspense series Deadman’s Tribe. This is one author to look out for. I see good things for her.
It is great start to what promises to be a great series. I do love me some good alpha sexy military-security Navy SEAL men stories. Nicole seamlessly weaved a fast-paced twisty plot and multiple storylines that leaves you breathless right the way through. The story flowed effortlessly and seamlessly show casing just how good this author is at telling a great story.

Shifter ShortsShifter Shorts by T.K. Lawyer
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 stars
There is a *content warning*.
I love anything paranormal, and I have read several of TK’s books and enjoyed them, so it was a no brainer when I saw this book was out.
Shifter Shorts is collection of 6 short stories full of sexy shifters and their fated mates but the road to love is never straight forward. The stories are so short that some feel like they are over before they begin. This book may not be for everyone or should I say some of the stories may not be for everyone. What I like about T.K. Lawyer’s stories are that they are a little different and this is full of that.
There are fighting couples, some wimpy and some undecided heroines that I wanted to shake, some had characters that I liked and others I didn’t, some that I wanted a bit more erotic and some a bit more love, some flow better than others and some don’t, some are dark and others darker, and all had danger of some kind.
It is TK’s fresh take on characters that are sexy and stubborn shifter Alphas, but not your typical shifter types, there are gargoyles, hellhounds, cats, sharks and more that would do anything for the love of a good woman.
They are whimsical short shot tales as I like to call them or bite sized tales that were intriguing enough to keep me reading. I like reading something a little different and that’s what these tales are.
All in all, you should give this collection a go as you may be missing out on some good stories. Step out of your comfort zone and give it a try.

Kingdom of 7 Sovereigns: WolfKingdom of 7 Sovereigns: Wolf by R.C. Reigh
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 stars
Kingdom of 7 Sovereigns is a fun YA fantasy romance series. Wolf is an enemies to lover’s tale and the first book in that series. RC Reigh is a new author to me and one that I will continue to read her work.
7 Sovereigns, 7 couples and each get their own stories. It is set in the medieval enchanted magical Academy, Bastion where mayhem runs rife, and rivals come together to learn but can they be trusted. It’s not a place that is all fun and games.
This unique and magical world that RC has created has something for everyone, fated mates, werewolves and dragon shifters, Fae, Princesses, Witches, Necromancers, villains, magic, competitions, quests, and arranged marriages. It is vividly rich in detail making it so easy to imagine this unique world that RC has created.
The story is told in multiple POV which I love because we get to learn so much more about the characters. It’s my favourite way to have a story told. The storyline is well written and is as interesting as it is intriguing just as the characters are.
Join Dane the strong alpha wolf shifter and Amelia a headstrong princess who navigate their way through their rocky arranged courting and hopefully find all they never knew they truly wanted.
There are several twisty plots along with treason, secrets, lies, angst, tension, suspense, romance, violence and danger, that keep you glued to the pages as we follow along on their exciting journey.
It’s not just YA’s that will enjoy this book but anyone who loves a good fantasy tale.

Human Mating Site Box Set 1 is 4 fab Rom Com’s altogether. They are the first 4 Novellas in a 13-part novella series the Human Mating Site. They are extremely quick reads packed full of sexy fun. It is a great series but with only a few pages in each book I flew through them and read them in one sitting. I was sad to see them end because I was enjoying them so much and I want more. They need to be longer.
Mr. Wimp is the first book in the box set. Who doesn’t love a good story where the MC loves to read and loves her hot and steamy books and wants to play out her fantasies?
It is the story of Bella as she navigates the online dating world once again as her cheating, low life husband Mr. Wimp blames her for their woes when it is all his fault. Revenge is sweet. Throw in some amazing and loving friends, some hand holding, dancing, and lots of wine, flirting, some great and liberating sex, some alpha hot and sexy men and some witty banter that will have you laughing out loud then you have yourself a super spicy tale. I am sure there are lots of women out there that can relate to this story.

Bella’s search for Mr. Right continues in Mr. Smooth the second book in the Human Mating site series. The anti is upped along with the spice. I just wish there was a little bit more into the sex scenes. Online dating has never been so fun. It is a quick, fun and sexy read. Liam is one man to show you what you have been missing out on. Have a few fantasies, he’s your man. He knows how to burn up the sheets and Bella is just the woman to let him, but he wants her to see just how beautiful and desired she is first. Insert sigh……….. I mean what a man right, even if he is a player. Things may just get a little messy when there are two men involved. Damn cliff hangers….

Mr. Player is the third instalment in the Human Mating Site novella series and the last book in this box set. I love and am addicted to this series! but I wish that the stories where longer than just sound bites. Ok they are a bit long but aaaarghhhhhhh. Sadly, Bella is moving on from Liam. Jack may be dubbed Mr Player, but he is all about himself in the bedroom. He seems to be good at saying the right things but when they get down to business, he doesn’t look so good on paper. When Bella and her girls decide on a holiday, she runs into someone that may be too good to be true. Let the fun continue. But not before another cliff hanger.

Bring on Mr. Kinky! “What a man, what a man, what a mighty fine man.”
The steam and spice hot up as Jensen shows Bella there is more to pleasure if it is done in a safe setting. When she gets a taste of BDSM she learns a bit more about herself. The break she had with her friends, some alcohol and a few romps with Mr Kinky is just what she needed.
This is probably my favourite book so far in the series.
Gaahhhhh! Cliffhangers! Anywho who is behind the door?
As I said before there are 13 novellas all together in the Human Mating Site series and I can’t wait to get stuck into them all.

The Scent of Snow (The Winemakers Series) by Giovanna Siniscalchi – Review by Jenni Bishop

The Scent of SnowThe Scent of Snow by Giovanna Siniscalchi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 stars
Giovanna has constantly surprised me with her historical romance series The Winemakers. The Scent of Snow can be read as a standalone, but you really should read the other books before it.
This lovely 1870’s Victorian story The Scent of Snow is set at a the most magical time of year, Christmas in Portugal. As with the other books in the series this book is steeped in history, traditions and cultures and the love of winemaking.
Giovanna’s writing is passionate and rich in historical detail, descriptions, and world building, that captures your heart. It is told in dual POV as we learn more about who they are.

Pedro and Anne’s story continues as characters from previous books all come together to celebrate Christmas. It is fun and magical full of hope, dreams, wants, needs, drama, compassion and passion, tenderness, love, lots of emotions, sugar and spice, chemistry and romance.
But what Anne wants Pedro is not sure he can give her. So where does that leave them you ask. Well pick up the book and have a read of this beautifully written story.

A Heart So Savage (The Savage Duet Book 2) by April Moran – Review by Jenni Bishop

A Heart So Savage (The Savage Duet #2)A Heart So Savage by April Moran
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 stars
There are warnings for trigger content so make sure to read that before reading this story.
A Heart So Savage is the second devilish book in The Savage Duet and just like the first book A King So Savage it is gritty, raw, bloody, and deadly. Some of my favourite things in dark romances and April does it so well. I can’t get enough.
It is a captivating dark romance that will set you on fire. The characters are complex and intriguing and make the story.
Ava is a prisoner of his twisted mind and world. He is dark intense, dominant, possessive, and an utterly irresistible man. She knows what needs to be done and he just has to let her.
King is a dark, violent and sadistic alpha male of the underworld. He is someone you will love to hate and hate to love.
He will do anything to protect her in his own twisted way, but she may just be the one that saves them both.
It is a captivating romance tale with darkness, possessiveness, obsessiveness, angst, drama, violence, emotions, secrets, danger, secrets, danger, and so much more.
This is one duet that you don’t want to miss. I can’t wait for more of this genre from April.

Song of Earth and Claws (Faelands Series) by Lena Abram – Review by Jenni Bishop

Song of Earth and ClawsSong of Earth and Claws by Lena Abram
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Song of Earth and Claws is Lena Abrams new romantasy world book. This is a good start to this series.
This high fantasy tale is set in a world where magic is the norm and the worldbuilding is done well. The story is well-written and easily imagined.
Lena certainly puts the characters through their paces in this magical journey. It kind of reminds me of a cross between Lord of the Rings, The Hunger Games and GOT all rolled into one. There are strong heroines that are interesting and intriguing characters.
With Games a foot it’s do or die time, but does Lannahi have what it takes to win or will all be lost with her. Rules, what rules? Has she taken on more than she can handle? To find out you will need to read this little gem.
The stakes are high in this magical world where enemies have their own agendas, power, and greed. A world with elemental magic, magical creatures, wolves, Fae, games, slavery, along with lies, secrets, deceit, danger, death, hopes, dreams and more. Loyalties will be tested. Trust needs to be gained and want is a powerful motivator.
I enjoyed the story and look forward to the next book and the story becoming more settled in terms of build-up and pacing.

Nessie and the Living Stone (Nessie’s Grotto) by Lois Wickstrom and Jean Lorrah – Review by Jenni Bishop

Nessie and the Living Stone (Nessie's Grotto)Nessie and the Living Stone by Lois June Wickstrom
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Nessie and the Living Stone is full of magic and wonder. There is much in this book that is different to some of Lois’s other books but there is still the underlying messages and teaching. I really liked the way the cover of this book caught my attention as did the beautiful illustrations.
With monsters, precious stones, interesting symbols and ideals for children to learn from this is a wonderful and fun read for children of any age.
It was fun to sit and reminisce about my time sitting and looking out over Loch Ness to see if Nessie would show herself.
Read along as the children in this story got much more than they bargained for when on the hunt for Nessie.

Lost Property (The Tom Grant Series Book 6) by Samantha Adair – Review by Jenni Bishop

Lost Property: A Tom Grant Novel (The Tom Grant Series Book 6)Lost Property: A Tom Grant Novel by Samantha Adair
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 stars

Lost Property is the sixth amazing book in The Tom Grant Novel series. You could read all the books in this series as standalones, but you are missing out on so much if you don’t read them all in order. I started in the middle and am glad I went back and started from the beginning.
I have loved each and every book in this series and the characters are like old friends now that I love catching up with them even if things don’t go right. They are all complex characters but love fiercely.
Isabella is away and poor Tom is thrown back in the world of sex trafficking when two young women turn up.
This thrilling fast-paced action-packed tale is a page turner and one that had me on the edge of my seat. I was completely engrossed and couldn’t get through it fast enough trying to find out how it all ended. I say I am addicted would be the truth.
As always there are lots of twists and turns where the suspense and tension are palpable.
Expect the unexpected. It is packed with danger and adventure and so much more.
Bring on the next book.

Sweet Dreams is an enchanting tale that takes us to the mysterious and magical Emerald Isle. Just reading the story transported me back to my wonderful holiday many years ago. I really enjoyed the writing style the attention to detail Nanette put in because I could feel, smell and taste it all as though I was standing right there.

This feel-good story has dramatic turns, pre-wedding dilemmas, ancient legends, secrets, magical gifts, dreams, hopes, wants and unexpected love. What more could you hope for, and Nanette has delivered.
