Locked Down Heart is book three in the Combat Heart series by Tarina Deaton. You need to read the other books before you read this one, so you get the back story on each of these wonderful and truly lovable characters. It is action packed and fast paced and you our instantly pulled into their world. You will laugh and cry along with them, as you get invested in each and everyone’s lives. The suspense had me on the edge of my seat and my heart thumping. It is second chance romance that is equally thrilling yet sexy, heartfelt and passionate, tender yet heartbreaking. Tarina is a gifted writer and makes you a part of the story. I loved every single moment of this book as I did with the others. If you don’t read this series you are missing out on a great piece of work. I am anxiously awaiting to see what is next in this series.
Standby: An Enemies to Lovers Romance (WQUZ News Book 1) by Brandy Ayers is a great read and will have you laughing and crying along with our main character. She is sexy and oh so sassy but is always looking after everyone else before herself. It is a sexy romantic story that is also tender and yet heartbreaking with a touch of suspense.
Chris has a way about him that you just love him. Mira is strong and loving and has met her match. Together they are funny and loving and their banter is top notch. But will all be lost when a fan is unable to help himself and puts his obsession in danger? Brandy is one of my favourites and is a gifted writer. I am eagerly awaiting to see what is next in this series.

No Rest for the Wicked by M.L. Sparrow is a cute paranormal fantasy with wizards, magic, and romance. I enjoy reading M.L.’s books as she writes in an original and unique way that makes the world and characters she writes about pop on the page. The characters were well written and well developed and had me laughing out loud, as you could imagine the wonderful world in which they live.
If you haven’t read any of M.L’s work you are truly missing out on an adventure. If you like a paranormal fantasy then this is for you. If you like wizards and magic, go for it. Go on you know you want to. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next.

Magic Calls is the first book in the Echoes series by Miriam Greystone and the first book I have read by this author and I am impressed. Magic Calls is very well written and shows Miriam’s creativity and imagination, in this paranormal fantasy. You are taken on a journey with mythical creatures and their will to live with the on coming war see you wanting to stand beside them.
Molly loves to sing, singing is her life, it takes away all the pain and fills her with joy. But now she has just found out that she is more than she has ever known. More than even they thought possible. Treachery and lies have shown that no one is safe, nowhere is safe. Safety as she knew it, is no longer a possibility. Standing together they may just have a fighting chance.
Magic Calls is a must read for paranormal book lovers. Even if you are not and looking for a change then this is a book to do it. I am awaiting eagerly for the next book.
Flowers in December is a very short tale by Jane Suen and is a touching story of one person’s grief. It is a very emotional time for our main character, which sees him going through a myriad of emotions on this journey which also leads to self discovery.
The writing style is easy to follow, but I did find it hard to hold my attention at times, with the overly polite conversations taking place, but Jane did a nice job of dealing with the sensitive issue death. This book will remind you not to take others for granted in your life and suddenly finding your place in the world even through loss.

Half-Broke Heart (Combat Hearts #1.5) by Tarina Deaton and should definitely should be read after you have read the first one. This one follows on from Stitched Up Heart and is just as good as the first. It is a easy quick read but so good, the words just flow effortlessly across the pages. The characters are so well written that you feel like you know them. I loved the friendship between Denise and Bree, it was easy and they made me laugh. True friendship.
Chris and Denise were in the first book and it was great to see them get their own story. BUT, no, just no!! Tarina the way you ended this book made me want to cry. I wanted so much more, no needed more, I want more!!!!!! I am literally jumping around waiting to read the next one.
Found in Silence is the second book in the A Prairie Tale series by Lisa Sorbe and it is a beautiful touching story. It made me smile and laugh and cringe in disgust and anger, as I was taken on journey of pain and rediscovery for our main character. Lisa has done a wonderful job of immersing us into a world in which she created with her writing skills, which lead to sympathy and understanding for a sad and lonely woman.
When everything she ever wanted was taken away from her, when everything she ever knew was taken away from her it turned her into a cold hearted, self-absorbed, bitter woman. When faced with a task, she doesn’t want to do, who knew it would lead her on a road, she never thought possible.
Are people bitter by nature or has something so profound happened to make them that way? Can bitter people change if given the right circumstances or do they not care enough? To discover the answers to these questions, you really really need take the plunge and read this great story, to look into the heart and soul of the one who matters.
The characters are so full of heart you want to keep reading more of their story. I hope to read and learn more of the other characters in this story from Lisa.

A Prickly Christmas Kiss (Christmas Kiss: Book 1) by Allyson R. Abbott is a unique and quirky short story that will have you laughing as you follow along with this sweet romance. Christmas is a magical time of year and it seems that it is more so at North Poleton. Where strange things happen and bring joy to those who live there. Where outsiders are welcomed and love may just find you.
This is one christmas tale you should take the time to read. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Undeniable is the fourth book in the Fated series by A.S. Roberts. It is just as good as the previous books in this series and I was happy to read another book from A.S. and the world she has created with these wonderful hot, alpha male characters and their women. I enjoy reading A.S. works and she never disappoints.
Jack has demons and the only way he overcome them, even if for a little while is by fighting. But when he meets a young shy women, she maybe the one who keeps the demons at bay.
Lily has led a sheltered life and everything she thought she knew has been twisted on it’s head when she sets out to find a life of her own. But she soon finds herself in a living nightmare, one she can not seem to wake up from.
Grab a good drink and a comfy chair, as this is a book that once you start, you will not be able to stop. There are so many emotions to deal with as you walk in the seedier side of this story. Undeniable could be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading the other books in the series as you understand where all the characters come into play.
Stitched Up Heart (Combat Hearts Book 1) by Tarina Deaton is a heart warming and emotional romance story that will captivate you from start to finish and is a great start to this series. I have not read anything by Tarina before but I look forward to reading other works by her, as she is a good storyteller.
Bree and her bestie have been through hell and back together more times than they can count. But as the saying says what doesn’t break you makes you stronger is certainly the case with the characters in this story. Bree is an independent and confident woman who knows what she wants and decides it’s time to do just that.
Jase is hot and sexy alpha male who is still broken after serving in the military. Jase has never had a real relationship but this headstrong and beautiful woman has made him rethink things.
Stitched Up Heart is a beautiful story with wonderful characters who will capture you heart. I cannot wait to read what Tarina does next with this series..

TWO HEARTS FIND CHRISTMAS is the fifth book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance series by Tamara Ferguson. It is just as good as the previous books in this series and I was happy to read another book from Tamara and the world she has created with these wonderful hot, alpha male characters we get to read about.
Josh had a bad start in life but with the help of others he may just be able to start a new life. Now he is back in town, after 15 years away, he comes face to face with the one thing that has been in his memories all that time.

Tamara’s stories are unique and full of emotions as she delves into the world of wounded servicemen and their lives after. I can not wait to see what she has in store for us next.

OMG this story is heartbreaking and yet beautiful and you will definitely need tissues to see you through to the end. You can’t help but fall in love with all the characters and feel as though you know each and every one of them. T.R is definitely a great writer.
The Cursed Armor is the first book in The Tale of the Ghost Series by Brian Basham is a paranormal novella that was very intense and an interesting read. The world Brian has created for this story is one you can imagine due to his attention to detail in his writing.
The story follows The Ghost, who is a member of The Thieves Guild. The Ghost, is the best at what she does but when she stumbles upon something that completely changes her life, as she knows it, will never be the same.
This is a quick read, full of so many twist and turns, you find yourself sitting on the edge of your seat just wanting to know what is coming next. There is a bit of a cliff hanger leaving you asking what happens next, so it will be interesting to see what Brian has in store next for our heroine.

Double Exposition is the first book in the Songs and Sonatas series by Jerica MacMillan and is a short and sweet romance story with so much passion it jumps off the page at you.
When pop meets classical, passion is born. When old meets new, sparks fly. When senior meets freshman, love blossoms. When the well dries up and you meet your muse, beautiful music is made.
Jerica has written a heartfelt and beautiful story of the beginnings of young love and watching a relationship grow and blossom. This book is funny and romantic and you will fall in love with these characters.
Mercy: the deadliest Sin is the second book in the Why we don’t Die in Dreams series by Debbie Zello and is a continuation from the first book and not a standalone. Debbie is a very clever writer in the way she has written this dark and twisted tale of a being who has no conscious. A creature you can only hear about in nightmares. Something you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy. Something so heinous that you just can’t stop reading about. There are a lot of twists and turns that but boy did Debbie twist it all up and deliver and ending I. Did. Not. See. Coming!
I recommend reading this story but beware you will be on the edge of your seat and hiding behind your hands.

Development is the second book in the Songs and Sonatas series by Jerica MacMillan this is not a standalone book and you must read Double Exposition as it follows on. Jerica has written a sweet romance story that is full of hope and passion. Passion for what our characters do and passion for each other.
When everything and everyone seems against your wanting to be with the one you love, how do you go on? With distance and time against them, how do they stay committed? When love knows no bounds is it enough to keep them together? Will their love stand the test of time?
If you enjoy a sweet romance then this is for you. I am waiting to see what happens to our characters in the next book.
Michael: A Scrooged Christmas by F.G. Adams is heart warming festive quick read. Load up on the eggnog and settle back as you will not be disappointed with what F.G. has written. This is a standalone book but several of the characters mentioned in this book are from the This is Life series.
Michael Barnes has been wallowing in his misfortune and christmas is not on this years calendar. But when someone literally knocks into him, things just may change.
Holly loves Christmas and plans on restoring the festive spirit back to the one she has loved since forever.
This is a sweet second chances romance story that will fill you warmth and love. Reading the rest of the series is a must as well.
Mistletoe Magic is book two in the A Holiday Romance Novel series by Amanda Siegrist. It is a contemporary Christmas romance story, that is told in the dual perspective of our main characters, which I love. I have not read the first book but it didn’t make much difference as I read this book.
Theresa works at the local diner and is happy with her life except for the one thing she craves, the one she has always been on the outside looking in. She has always had dreams but would those dreams ever become a reality? Will she ever be able to have the life she would like?
Aiden cannot get over the guilt, a guilt that is eating him from the inside out, a guilt that sees him existing but not living. Everyday he sees a little bit of light, a little bit of sweetness, a little bit of happiness but he will not allow himself to go there. Will Aiden finally decide to forgive himself and and open up his heart? Could she be the one to make him live again?
This is a story that will get you in the christmas spirit and realise there are good people in the world and a little bit of christmas magic.

Attest is the second book in the Centrifuge Duet by Kylie Hillman and is just as good if not better than the first. It is a dark and twisted psychological thriller full of mind games and revenge. It’s a short story but boy does it pack a punch and when playing with the Devil you hope to God you don’t get burnt.
Xander is wondering how he got to where he is, knowing there is no depths to the evil these people have bought upon him. When he is once again pulled into a world so far removed from anything he has ever known, he knows he has no choice. Stay where he is or go to a dark and twisted place for those he loves?
I loved the way the story played out and was totally surprised as the layers were peeled away to reveal the ending. If you like reading thrillers and mind games then this is a book for you. I would love to see this duet become more.
Irrevocable is the third book in the Fated series by A.S. Roberts that is an contemporary romance with mystery and suspense, action and intrigue. A.S. Roberts books are eroticlly romantic with sexy alpha men who are hot and large and in charge. I suggest you read the books in order so you learn more about the loveable characters and the world A.S. has so wonderfully written.
John Edwards doesn’t do feelings and that makes him good at his job and being good at his job that is why he is head of security for the Blackmore’s. When he and his team are called to take care of extended family, his plans to do everything by the book are lost when he sets his sights on one of his charges.
Jasmin Carpenter is content with her life. She loves her dog and the cottage that has ties to her heart. But when a stranger shows up late at night, little does she know that her life will never be the same.
Who doesn’t like a good adventure story with twists and turns and enough romance that will make you blush.

Spirited Away is the fourth book in the Resort Romances series by Mary Billiter that everything you need to make a great story. It is a romance with a healthy dose of mystery and suspense, action and intrigue. Mary is good at weaving a good story of crime and passion that leaves you wanting more and falling in love with her to life characters.
Reese is the new General Manager and can’t wait to get stuck in to the role. When she learns first hand of the mystery and intrigue that the old hotel holds, she finds herself drawn into a whole other world. Will Reese be able to put together all the pieces of the puzzle, of the mysterious presence at the hotel? Or will fate have other plans?
I enjoy reading Mary’s work, and the historical background that lays a great foundation to build the rest of the story. I have enjoyed all of the books in this series and can’t wait for more.
Beachcomber Test: Beachcomber Investigations is book 7 in A Romantic Detective series by Stephanie Queen and it is just as good as the others and I can’t get enough of them. I love reading about these wonderful characters that Stephanie has created and the world she has created for them. You should read all books in order so that you get the back and continuing stories of the crazy goings on and positions they always find themselves in. There is suspense and mystery, laughter and love, bad guys and good guys.
Our lovable characters, Dane and Shana and their motley crue, find themselves once again involved in more than they thought possible, when they took on a seemingly easy, open and shut case. But as we have come to know and love them, we know that nothing is ever as it seems and nothing is ever that easy.
Do yourselves a favour and get a copy of this series and sit back and enjoy the ride with a cuppa or a glass of your fav drink. I guarantee you will love this series as much as I do.
Inevitable is the second book in the Fated series by A.S. Roberts and is every bit as great as the first book. This is a sexy, steamy romance that will leave you wanting more as we delve into love, loss and bearing your soul of one person’s past. A.S. has the knack to make the characters feel real and quickly draws you into the world in which she weaves and what a ride it is.
Bella is unable to move forward until she deals with her past. A past that has been hanging over her head for far too long. A past she needs to face head on. But in doing so will she have missed out on the most important thing in her life? Will time have gotten in the way of love and leave her with nothing?
Nathan is on sexy man on wheels but he has not been the same since the only thing that matters walked out of his life. He can have who ever he wants but what he wants he can’t have. What he needs isn’t in reach. What he craves can not be seen.
A.S. has become one of my favourite authors and I can’t wait to see what is next in this wonderful series.

The House that Adelia Built by Mya O’Malley is a haunting tale of love and loss, lies and betrayals. There are ghosts and mysteries with lots of twists and turns. The story is told as two different stories one from the past and one in the present, one more sinister than the other. Mya is good at what she does, paranormal romance.
Adelia and her new husband find themselves on an adventure to a beautiful place to start their married life. Both full of dreams in the beginning only to find those dreams drifting away, but why?
Hope is having dreams but are they really dreams and what do they mean? Is there something that she needs to know? Can she unravel the mystery before it’s too late or has time already run out? What will Hope find?
This story is full of heartbreak and sorrow and will keep you guessing at what will happen next. I was a bit unsure about the ending but this story is full of suspense and intrigue and bound to give you a thrill.

Fatal Heir is the first book in the Fatal series by L.C. Ireland and is a fantasy paranormal story and an enjoyable read. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I found her writing style easy and interesting characters as she took me into another world. This story has lots of mystery and suspense with lots of twists and turns. The characters were great and they will take you on an adventure with twist and turns here and there.
This story is about Don a young man whose life is suddenly turn upside down. Upon finding himself in trouble he finds out that he is not who he thought he was. When faced with evil he wants to put a stop to it and tries to make things right. Will he be able to stop the evil taking over the world? Will he be lured into the evil that haunts him? Will he find out exactly who he is?
If you like a good paranormal fantasy story the I recommend you read this book.
Stripped by Tarrah Anders is an erotica romance story and is the first book I have read by her. It is an enjoyable read and gives you a look into the life of male dancers and what they go through. I enjoyed reading about our characters who I fell in love with. This is one sweet and juicy, sexy and funny ride that will ensure your entertainment and enjoyment.
Malcolm is one sweet, sexy and confident with himself man. He works hard to ensure he will be able to hopefully reach his life’s dream. When he literally runs into one sweet and sassy woman he finds it hard to get her out his head. If only she would give him a chance.
Rebekah is not afraid to say what she thinks and is non judgmental but when it comes to being face to face with the job of someone she loves and all it encompasses she is not sure what to think and how to deal with it. Can she overcome her feelings, her doubts, her fears and find what is important to her before she loses the best thing to come into her life?
This story is worth the read and I can’t wait to read what she writes next.

Havoc: A Silent Sons MC Novel Book Two by Ambere Sabo and I was excited to read more about the characters from the first book and this Biker world that Ambere has created. This book as with the first is full of revenge and retribution, hatred and fear, fire and passion and will certainly play with all your emotions. With lots of twists and turns, steaming romances, sassy females and loyally fierce bikers what more can you ask for.
When Havoc hears what his father has done this time, his rage is inflamed and he has only one thing in mind revenge. One too many secrets and one too many lies will not save him this time but how do you find a ghost?
Angel has lost everything, has been treated no better than an animal but when all seems lost one princess enters her life giving her more than she thought she would have. When the moment comes she knows what she has to do even if it means taking a path of no return.
Whilst I love reading about strong, alpha and sexy men, I love the strong female characters that Ambere’s has created. Once again I recommend this book to anyone that likes MC romance and non-stop action.

Cessy is book one in A Silent Sons MC series by Ambere Sabo. This is the first book by Ambere that I have read and I really enjoyed it. Biker books are not normally my favourite but this story is a good read and a great start for the series. Who doesn’t like some action and drama, mystery and suspense, with hot guys who protect what is theirs. The story is well written and the plot well thought out and the characters you will either love or hate but either way you feel like you are right beside them taking each and every step. There is love and laughter, hate and fear, sorrow and revenge, what more could you ask for when looking for something to read.

I read this book in one sitting as page after page drew me in and I had to know how it ended. Lucky for me I had the second book in the series, so when I finished this I jumped right into the second book. I recommend this book to anyone that likes MC romance and non-stop action.
