Tilt Dreams of Chaos Book 2 by Ashley Chappell ​is a well written story that is action packed YA fantasy that has adventure and magic, gods and mythology, magical and lore, mystery and mystical creatures that is set in different worlds. This book continues on from where the first book left off and is a little bit darker but there is adventure, humor and stubborn bravery in our lead heroine as she fights to learn more about herself, her magic and the evil invading her home.

If you like a good fantasy with danger and chaos that is entertaining and magical then Tilt is for you.

Just One Night by Charity Ferrell is one story that you should jump at the chance to read. Love certainly isn’t easy and when your whole life is lost it breaks you, but when you receive news, of something you never thought possible, does it make you want to live again? Love when you are not looking for it but need it and it finds you, is something worth fighting for.

Charity has taken us into a world where sometimes second chances are all you need. Her writing is magical and the story is tragic but beautiful, passionate and loving, sad and yet happiness. I loved every word, every sentence, every paragraph. I fell in love with the world and characters, Willow who is a sassy and strong, loyal and loving, then there is Dallas who is sad and broken but also loving and sexy.

Just One Night will steal your heart and soul and leave you wanting more. Charity is a new Author for me but she is now one of my favourites and can’t wait to read more from her.

Deepest Scars is a novel of the ‘Bring Me’ Series by Tricia Copeland and can be read as a standalone. Tricia writes well and is invested in her characters. Some I loved, some not so much, as I wanted to smack them around, which to me means they are well written. This story is about second chances and new beginnings, secrets and forgiveness, love and heartbreak. Even though I found the story a little slow at times, it was still a good read.

As the layers were peeled back of our two main characters, especially Liz (whom my heart broke for), we got to see them grow and blossom, not just as a couple but also as themselves. That girl had to deal with more than any normal person deserves in her short life time but she managed and I wanted to hug her and take away all her hurt.

Tricia wrote this from a male perspective and it was different but good to read a story from the male point of view rather than the usual female.

Worth a read.

Relationship Resuscitation (The Juniper Court Series) by Jennifer Theriot is a quick read and fits in nicely with the other books in this series which are written by different authors with their own unique writing style and perspectives. This book is about finding the sparks that so often leaves couples after their children have grown and flown the coupe, Empty Nesters that their love is still strong but between the sheets a little spice to life is needed. I laughed out loud at some of the antic this couple got up to and my heart sighed at their devotion to one another. These characters and their relationship is so real that you can relate to them.

This is a sweet and enjoyable read that will keep you busy for an afternoon of leisure. I am off to read more of this series.

Make Me is the first book in the Dirty Royals Series by Kaye Blue and is a contemporary romance story. ​Don’t they say there is a fine line between love and hate! Well in this book we see ​plenty of drama and sparks flying as we watch enemies face off and gradually see more in each other than they ever have.

When you have always had things given to you on a silver platter, you wonder where you fit in life, in love, in yourself but also in your family. When you have been bought up to hide your feelings it is hard to say the thing that is the most important.

When you have always fought for what you want, is it any surprise your best would never have made a difference to the decision being made.

Kaye has started out with a bang with this book which is easy to read and well written but also entertaining. I enjoyed the story and look forward to the next book in the series.

Her Real Man (Rescue Me Collection Book 0) by Natalina Reis is a quick enjoyable read  that is both cute and fun. Sparks fly when our two main characters find what neither of  them knew they were looking for. This story will have you laughing and crying and  enjoying every part of it.    What happens when a romance writer goes looking for a real man? What type of man is  a real man? Is there even such a thing as a real man? Will a real man make the perfect  book boyfriend?     This is the third book I have read by Natalina and they are all great stories but this  would have to be my favourite. I look forward for more from her.

Our Next Chapter by Michelle Sullivan is a beautiful but sad contemporary romance  story about second chances. Michelle’s writes a story that make you feel like you are a  part of it. Emotions are real and raw because of those that deemed they knew better  with secrets and lies, betrayal and hurt, threats and malice, loss and love, fears and  uncertainty.     Once I started this book I was unable to put it down until I had finished. My heart aches  for what our characters went through and it hits home for what those of us who were  young mothers and our own struggles. This story will take you on an emotional  journey and is a definite page turner. The story is well thought out and beautifully  written. These characters definitely hold a place in my heart. A job well done Michelle.

Love on a Limb A Love Story For All Seasons by Laurie L.C. Lewis is a beautiful heart  wrenching, sob inducing wonderful romance story. I love reading Laurie’s work as she  puts so many emotions into her writing that it makes you feel as though you are right  there with the characters as they struggle with having to deal with life and death. This  sad yet beautiful story reached into my heart and left me devastated, it makes you  wonder what would happen if I was faced with my mortality or that of someone I loved.  This is one story where you will need the tissue box and a good stiff drink or two. The  love, hope and faith these characters had for one another will see you crying, laughing,  sobbing and fighting right alongside them in this battle to live.    I highly recommend this amazing story to anyone who loves a story that touches your  heart in such a way that it will stay with you.

Gabe is the first book in the Glass City Hearts by Desiree Lafawn and it is a winner. Desiree has thrown everything you could want in a book and it comes together seamlessly. This story is intriguing and mysterious, sexy and hot, realistic and yet unbelievable. There is threats and crime, sleaze bags and terror, laughter and sadness but underneath it all is such sweetness it will knock you for a six.

The characters in this book are lovable and funny but Greta and Jolene are such a hoot, that you can’t help but laugh out loud with their antics and want to be their best friend. I hope we get to read more of these wonderful characters in the future.

What happens when you are in the wrong place at the wrong time? Who do you turn to when your life is in danger? What happens when you come face to face with a past that tore you to shreds? How can you reconcile a past with your future? What happens when you are so consumed with sadness that you don’t know how to move on?

To find the answers and more get a copy and sit back and enjoy the ride.

Beneath the Secrets by Shandi Boyes

This story is bit of an emotional roller coaster ride. At times you will be laughing out loud and the next you will be sobbing. I am now off to read the next installment. Enjoy!!

Beneath the Sheets by Shandi Boyes
This story has it all including friendship and romance, happiness and passion, secrets and lies, heartache and frustration but amongst all that there is love. You will find yourself laughing, yet sad and frustrated with the choices of the characters. At times you want to knock some sense into them but as the story goes, you can’t fight fate.

That Unexpected Kiss (Kissed by Fate book 2) by Tamara Ferguson is a beautiful romance with a twist. Tamara takes you on a journey that always melts your heart but also adds the twist with a mystery that is just waiting to be untangled. Tamara’s writing style flows easily and is always engaging and Crystal Rock seems magical and real and if it were a real place I am sure I would want to live there.

All Tamara’s characters are strong and lovable but also vulnerable and complex as we learn about their past and what has made them, them and how the untangle the mysteries surrounding them and the ones they love. Not everything is what it appears to be! As always though the chemistry with all the characters is always strong and hot.

I highly recommend this series. What does fate have in store for our next couple? I can’t wait to find out.

Tamara’s stories involve military men and women who are returning and trying to build a life after the forces and horrific injuries veterans. I advise that you read each book in order so you understand and get the back stories of the characters and the world in which they live. Crystal Rock is one place where the magic of the place ensures true love and one kiss is all you need.

Murder in Vail by Judy Moore is one read where you just want to smack each and every character in the book especially where those are poor little rich kids who are rude and over privileged. It is a quick read that will leave you going wow, just wow, I never expected that!! It is a “who dunnit” story with a twist that you don’t in a million years see coming, that will have you guessing right up to the very end.

Murder in Vail is a murder mystery with greedy, self centred people showing their true colours. It is a quick and enjoyable read.

It was great to see a book about a couple in their fifties, who are regular working folk who are flawed just like the rest of us, learning how to reconnect the spark in their romance after being married and raising their kids. Curiosity is a wonderous thing, so when Nina shares with her husband, they come together to explore their unknown needs in a loving and safe environment and the sexy fun times begin.

Lainie has written this story with great humour and plenty of sizzling heat. You will laugh so much you will cry.

A Force of Nature is the second book in the A Tryst of Fate Series Novel by Kara Liane is a contemporary romance, that is hot and sexy with alpha military men and sassy, strong and independent women. It also deals with two people who are dealing with PTSD and abandonment issues and a love that will hopefully blow those issues away. The story is well written and thought out, well written with lust and love, angst and humour, drama and healing, laughter and sadness.

This is the first book I’ve read by Kara and she made the characters seem real. If you are looking for a new romance story then this is one for you.

Phoebe draws you in with intrigue and mystery, seduction and love.

Broken Butterfly is the fifth book in the series A Fortis Security Novel by Maddie Wade and once again this book is a great read. I have been in love with this series since book one and have not looked back since I found Maddie as a wonderful writer. This series and this book have it all, and I am in love with the Fortis men and women and their partners. I would encourage you to start with book one and work your way through so you get to know and love these wonderful characters and become invested in their lives. Each book is about each team member and the love of their life and the terror and torture they face as the fight to keep everyone they love safe from the evil grips of the Divine Watchers.

Maddie continues to get better and better with each book and her attention to detail and ability for storytelling has certainly made Broken Butterfly the best so far. I can’t wait to read the next installment!

The Perception of Reality – Dual Boxset: Tragic Rockstar Romance by Shandi Boyes is just OMG, OMG. I always love Shandi’s books but this has to be my favourite so far. Shandi has just blown this story out of the water. It is a beautifully, tragic, sweet and sad tale that is so cleverly crafted. What can I say, other than well done Shandi, for writing this beautiful heartfelt piece of work. If I could give it more than five stars I would. It is truly a masterpiece that you will not only need a box of tissues but good stiff drink when you finish.

It is a very short and very quick read but well worth the time. I have read the Silent Sons MC books and am now conflicted because I now know why the heartbreak and evil lives inside one man and the reason behind it but also love the other characters of the other books.

This story is full of love and joy, happiness and sorrow, loss and pain that leaves one man forever changed.

Ambere has once again written a great story and an amazing read which I highly recommend.

Girl in the Woods by Lindsay Marie Miller ​is a prequel novella and takes you back to the start of where it all began. It is a very short and very quick read. This story is told by our main character, Tom’s point of view. Tom has lead a sheltered life being raised and taught by his grandfather. One night he finds a girl in the woods, now years later he finally meets this mysterious girl and his life is changed forever.

Lindsay has written a story that is sweet, mysterious and intriguing and I am really looking forward to seeing where this story goes.

The Brightest Night by Bri Stone ​is well written with so much emotion. The depth of emotion that the Bri writes with and invests in her characters makes you feel like you are walking in their footsteps right along with them. It is a romance that slowly burns until it sizzles. The chemistry between the two main characters is electrifying, hot and steamy as we watch them grow together from friends to a relationship, even though there were often obstacles in their way.

Perrier and Thom are meant to be but will their paths take them away from each other or will it only make them stronger? Will love be enough to keep them together?

I am really looking forward to the continuation of their story. What I can say is that it was well worth the read!

Evanthia’s Gift (The Gift Saga Book 1) by Effie Kammenou is​ a beautifully written old fashioned love story and is hard to put down. This book is an emotional roller coaster ride. One minute you are laughing and loving, the next will see you crying and yelling at the characters and wanting to knock some sense into them. There were alot of tears, sometimes in joy, sometimes in frustration and sometimes in heartache. I learnt so much about the Greek way of life and families and history of the war they endured.

If you are looking for beautiful love stories that spans over many years, generation to generation, then Evanthia’s Gift is a must and so is the tissue box!

This is a beautiful romance book that will have you riveted to the spot reading about these characters and all they go through. The story tugs on your heartstrings at times but ultimately it will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy. Megan is a master at writing romance stories that will leave you breathless.

Whoever said there is no love at first sight or everlasting love or soulmates? Obviously someone who has not read Megan’s books.Grab a copy and a wine and unwind as you read these books. You know you want to.

Daughter of Death is book one in the Dark Provenance Series by Lexi C. Foss and is a brilliant story. I enjoy reading Lexi’s books but Daughter of Death drew me in on another level and I so enjoyed the darker side to this story. This dark paranormal romance tale is full of demons, chaos and death and Lexi’s ability to create different worlds with the paranormal setting is both deadly and beautiful.

Our Heroine is one badass, sexy, sassy assassin just trying to lay low and live her life after years of pain she would just rather forget, but when the one person she loves hate, or hates to love, Xai, turns up again, Eve is forced to have him back in her life.

Lexi’s writing puts you right in the middle of this action packed thriller as our characters try to right the wrong, with thrilling fight scenes, sexy and oh so steamy chemistry, and a world of pain and hurt but also wonderful surprises.

This is one compelling read that you will not put down until you have gobbled it all up.

Planet Perfect by Charlotte Roth is a quick read and a standalone story that flowed from the page. I enjoyed the story but definitely tugged at my emotions.

Who doesn’t want a perfect life? Who doesn’t want to be safe? When perfection is offered, is it too good to be true? When your life’s desires is offered on a plate, is it too good to be true? If your vision of perfection is laid before you, no strings attached, is it too good to be true? If something seems too good to be true, then maybe it is.

One man’s idea of perfection maybe another man’s dream. One woman’s idea of perfection maybe another woman’s hell.

Enigma of Life: Isaac’s Story – Book One by Shandi Boyes is one amazing story. Shandi never lets me down when she writes a story you know you are going on a journey right along side and step for step with her amazing characters. Characters who are who are shrouded in mystery and danger. Characters that take on a life of their own. I love the fast pace of this romance story that is also a thriller and drama that also has moments that will have you laughing.

Izzy is new at her job and is on her first assignment and wants so bad to make a good impression.

Isaac is an alpha male who is possessive, mysterious and dangerous and under the FBI’s radar. But all is not what it seems.

What happens when the FBI meet the mob? What happens when roles are revealed and hearts are on the line?

Now i need the second book to see what happens and where the story goes.

Project Paradise (The Juniper Court Series) by Phoebe Alexander ​whose writing style flows and engages and her characters draw you in as they are easily connectable and lovable. This is a love story with a twist. This story is a hot and steamy, sexy and sizzling read where insecurities and doubts are left at the door.

The Archer’s have just moved to Juniper Court and are trying to fit in. Trouble is Valley is having a hard time doing that with the females in her area. When an out of the blue comment is made during a heated and oh so sexy time, Valley wonders if there is more to this comment than just words. After some research she decides to see where this could go and stumbles upon Project Paradise.

This is an enjoyable read and I was hooked and engrossed as the story unfolded and I will definitely be reading the other books in this series.

Alice Will: Dreams of Chaos Book 1 by Ashley Chappell. ​This book is a young adult fantasy story that will take you on a journey full of magical creatures and gods and will have you laughing and feeling happy and sad at some of their antics and situations they find themselves in. Ashley’s imagination built a unique world and characters that seemed to flow off the page. The story was engaging and the characters were connectable and lovable.

This is a story of Alice and Trotter, two young girls who are trying to find their way in the world and their powers. One knows she has them, the other doesn’t know they exist. This story will take you on a journey of gods and creatures that you won’t soon forget.
