I was apprehensive about this book at first. I read many diverse types of novels at that includes Christian novels. I was not at all against the idea of a male being impregnated as was the virgin Mary, but how this story was actually going to come together and play out. The author wrote a fascinating story wrapped in doubt and awe and a story wrapped also around grief and the ability to overcome things that we ourselves sometimes may feel we cannot. The words were perfect and the vocabulary befitting. I liked it a lot and would recommend reading it, even if there is some self-doubt in if you may or may not like the book, I would still give it a shot because you may find yourself pulled in.

Jeremy is a seventeen year old boy, he lives with his mother, is a devout Roman Catholic, helps out around the house and in the diner where the family swap a hot meal for a useful skill or useful things left over from the time before technology broke down and lies changed forever, he lives in a world which has survived a plague, a plague which wiped out most of the population and left the rest barren, infertile and unable to reproduce at all, apart from Jeremy, he is pregnant and nearing full term at that. Leslie is an agnostic woman who has lost her faith since the plague hit and so has been travelling around the country to find out about how the plague has affected the population and whether there is any hope to save humanity, this is where she meets Jeremy and his mother and finds out about his extraordinary tale of how he became pregnant.
As she has nowhere to stay, she is invited to stay in the spare room of the house Jeremy and his mother live in, again, in exchange for working and helping out or making use of a special skill, it is at the mealtime with the local priest and a neighbouring family where she hears of how the Virgin Mary visited Jeremy on a hot summers day and asked him if he would bear a child for her, Leslie is skeptical to say the least, but Jeremy believes it wholeheartedly and his mother is slowly beginning to believe in it too. The only problem is how Jeremy is going to give birth to this miracle child and stay healthy in the meantime, at least this is his mother’s main worry, Jeremy is convinced that things will all work out according to God’s plan, however, they are in luck when Leslie reveals that she is a midwife and may be able to help them both through this trying time.
Will Leslie be able to help Jeremy to safely deliver this baby while being bombarded with her thoughts of her waned faith and the unfaltering faith of those around her, will this crisis be something she can work through in time, or will it affect more than just herself? This is an original and captivating tale which will draw you into the lives of those surviving in this dystopian world and sticking with them to the conclusion of the story.

Jeremy Full of Grace by Greta Cribbs kept my attention all the way through. This is the story of Jeremy who is a teenage boy visited by the Mother of Grace and told he will give birth to a daughter. Most of the population of earth has been wiped out by a plague. Jeremy may be the last hope for life on earth to continue as it seems most females are now sterile.

This story is very…….unique. A plaque devastated most of the population but there is Jeremy, a 17 year old boy whom is pregnant. This story grasps you to believe there is truly miracles that can happen. The different points of views between Jeremy, Leslie, and Ruth really captivating. The very small town really believed this “miracle” would truly be the hope they are looking for. One of my true favorite lines in the book was “I don’t know if things are going to get better or worse from here, but no matter what comes, remember that God is with you.” I think this would stick with me for sure especially in real life.

This book was quite an interesting read. I will say you have to go into it with an open mind. I have read a lot of Greta Cribbs before so I wasn’t worried because I have previously enjoyed her other works. I must say this book will make you bend your mind a little bit and think outside the box as you read. I happen to think this is quite the accomplishment for an author to do and is a great thing. I thought about this book long after I finished it and what I might want to say in this review and I am not going to bore you with details that are already said in the blurb or other reviews but rather I will tell you this is one that you will want to read if you like books that will make you think. Books that make you wonder how you live your own life and how you question your own reality and the way you make your choices. I think that this is the perfect book for you to pick up then. I am looking forward to seeing what else we may get in the near future from Ms. Cribbs.

This was a really sweet story about faith and keeping you faith in really tough, trying times.i was unsure about how the story would work with the virgin birth coming from a male. But it worked really well. When the world was destroyed a miracle occurs when a 17 year old boy becomes pregnant. Is it all a figment of the boys imagination or did he really get impregnated by the Virgin Mary? As a non believer Leslie doesn’t know what to think. Is this really a miracle or is it something that was caused by the same thing that destroyed everything in its way. Will the outcome be enough to change her view and show her that God exists?

This book was very touching to read. It surrounded the life of a seventeen year old boy growing up in something similar to a post apocalyptic world but still holding on to his beliefs and religion.
The book alternated between three different point of views. Jeremy, Ruth (Jeremy’s mother), and Leslie (a travelling midwife). All three characters were very likeable and easy to relate to.
There was a lot of Catholic religion in this story, a lot of tradition and a lot of easily to follow medical talk. It was subtle and by no means do you have to be religious to read this story. I certainly am not and I still was intrigued and touched by the story.
The only downfall, in my opinion, was that it ended to abruptly. The book mentioned a lot of the afterward of why Jeremy was impossibly pregnant, so I was waiting for what was to come. But it ended with the main event. Hopefully this is a series. I am very intrigued with who “they” are and what it all means in this new world!

I will read absolutely ANYTHING this author writes. I love her ability to tell a story and make it seem so real and easy to follow. I find myself picturing every scene and believing everything that is going on. I used to love dystopian novels until some of them turned into more of a fantasy world than how I’ve always looked at the dystopian genre. This hit every mark for me on what I love about a dystopian story.
There was a lot of Catholic religion mixed into this story, alot of doctrine and tradition which was all spot on. It didn’t mean you had to be a Catholic or supremely religious person to get completely wrapped up in this book and this story of this young man. I guess it’s more of just having a belief that there is something that connects us all even if it can’t be explained.
I was completely lost in this book while I was reading it. Could not put it down and felt like I couldn’t read it fast enough. The next thing I knew it was over. It ended too quickly only because I didn’t want to put it down and think of starting another book. I wanted to stay in Ruth and Jeremy’s world a little longer and learn more about how they lived day to day. I loved everything about it and will read it again in the future, maybe a few times.

This is a book that leaves you thinking. A twist on the Virgin Mary story with maybe a bit of Aliens? You don’t really know. Jeremy is a 17 year old teenager magicly pregnant. How and why are the questions of the day. In this apocalyptic world, down south ists just a little laid back. I found myself wondering about these questions. Who are They? How did the society collapse? What plague killed them? …. I enjoyed this story because the characters were just so well-done. They were deep and colorful. I used to live down south and the author described the personality like it is. The plot is plausible yet definitely sci-fi. LOVE!!!

Jeremy Full of Grace by Greta Cribbs I don’t read the blurbs on books because I like to be surprised and WOW I was surprised by this unique little tale. This original Sci Fiish/Dystopianish story is definitely different from others as it is a mash of the two with a dose of religion mixed in. The story is told from several different POV’s which gives us more depth to the characters and the story as a whole. Greta has done a good job of pulling it all together and giving us something fresh and enjoyable. Reviewed by @jennadb

Jeremy, Full of Grace is an interesting story looking at a world where society has broken down and faith and community is all we really have left. No one true religion is presented however each character has a choice to make regarding their beliefs and what truly matters to them. I really enjoyed this read, it was extremely well written, and I was easily lost in the story. While it posed an unbelievable plot it was presented in a way that made me really think about what is important to me and ask myself what would I do in the same situation? I recommend this book.

This book was definitely a bit different from my normal reads and I wasn’t sure if I would like it but I was surprisingly intrigued by it. This story had my attention within the first few pages and I found it very hard to put down. This book was not only interesting with the religious twist but it was so entertaining and I simply could not wait to hear about what happened next. After reading this book I can say that I am interested in diving into more books from this author.

I do enjoy how the chapter and characters we are introduced to have a few each so we can see things from them side. These all interwein with each other and it works very well.

I enjoyed this book. This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. Her books pull me in from the first word and are well written. I enjoy how the author’s use of details gives her stories a realistic feel. Her characters are relatable and keep you turning pages. This book is no different. This is a story about Leslie and her search for faith and humanity. She takes you on a journey of science fiction and so much more. What she finds is a young boy who seems to have a child in him. Now she finds herself in a duty to save the said child and humanity. This is a faster paced story that really has a lot going on but the author does a great job of writing where it is easily read. This is a great story that I would highly recommend. It is worth the pick and the journey Leslie takes you on.

Jeremy Full of Grace by Greta Cribbs is a very inspirational sci-fi
One youngster gives a ray of light in a fading world. Midwife Leslie wanders the countryside eight years after a pandemic destroyed most of the world’s population, leaving the survivors barren, looking for signs that humankind may yet have a future. She had no idea that indication would come in the form of Jeremy, a seventeen-year-old Catholic lad who claims to have been pregnant after a vision from the Virgin Mary.
Leslie, an atheist, is suspicious of Jeremy’s narrative, but she can’t reject what the physical facts and her trained eye tell her: Jeremy is clearly carrying a kid within his body. There are doubts about Jeremy’s account of events, but even as Leslie wrestles with her own conflicted sentiments about religion, she knows she has a job to fulfill: ensuring the safe delivery of this kid who may well be the endangered human race’s final chance.
I loved this story and the concept of it as well.I loved every page of it. Every chapter was exciting.

When an unexplained plague wipes out most of the world’s population, the remaining people are shocked, scared, and for the most part unable to have children. Leslie, an agnostic midwife, travels the country, desperately seeking someone, anyone, who is pregnant. What she doesn’t expect, however, is to meet Jeremy–17 year old boy who appears to be, of all things, pregnant! Jeremy claims he became pregnant after a visit from the Virgin Mary.
Jeremy Full of Grace was an interesting read. Told from several points of view, it gives a sense of a simpler time, without television, radio, cars, and even hospitals. The story drew me in, and I enjoyed it. Similar to the birth of Christ, Jeremy’s pregnancy helped the characters and the reader discover–or rediscover–what Faith is. Strong, independent characters and a focus on God made this a wonderful read. Highly recommend!

I was instantly intrigued by the description, and chose to give Jeremy Full of Grace a shot. I mean, a teenage boy, being pregnant, what in the world?! I had to see how that works… It is the first book I have read by Greta Cribbs, and I couldn’t put it down! Granted, its a short book, but still. It is a weird twist of religion and sci-fi/dystopian, which is such an odd combination, but it worked. The main theme surrounds Catholicism, but it isn’t preachy, and most of the references are common knowledge. I love that she writes about “Them” and “Before” in a context that we understand something is going on, but don’t know all the details. The characters were great. The book is written bouncing around, point of view and timeframe, which was a little weird, but once you have a feeling for the timeline, it is easy enough to follow. I was a little disappointed not all my questions were answered, but it was still a good story. I don’t want to give away and spoilers, so I will leave it at that.

I gotta say, I’m surprised. I picked up this title on a recommendation by another person, and was a bit skeptical. I don’t usually read books centred around religion, but this was honestly… great. Extremely well-written and compelling, the characters are interesting and real, and the book moved at a great pace. I was moved to get to the end to have my questions answered – how did this boy get here? how can he even give birth? What does this all mean?
The mixing in of different sections told by other characters of the past was an interesting detail and made the story much more complex and meaningful. I appreciated that the book didn’t preach to me or tell me what to believe, it just let the story speak for itself, and left the characters to answer their questions for themselves, and come to their own conclusions. There are many great things I could say about this book and the writing, but I would recommend you buy it, you won’t be sorry!

Jeremy Full of Grace by Greta Cribbs is a unique and brilliantly interesting story. From the moment I read the blurb to this book I knew I just had to read it. I had to find out all about this world and if they would find a way to survive. I thought the author did an amazing job at mixing so many different elements. They are ones that I wouldn’t have necessarily said would go together and yet she has made it work effortlessly. This book really does have a bit of everything in and really just grabs your attention. I didn’t know why to expect at all when I started reading this book but what I got was a fantastic and well written story that I couldn’t stop thinking about even after the book had ended.

Jeremy Full of Grace by Greta Cribbs. This was such a unique read. Its the story of Jeremy a 17 year old boy who seems to be one of the few people left on Earth. When a Midwife is going around trying to find if there are any people left she comes across Jeremy. Jeremy believes he has been chosen to give birth not unlike the Virgin Mary. The Midwife is agnostic so she doesn’t really buy into the whole Virgin Mary bit but she can’t deny that he is Pregnant. A 17 year old boy is pregnant. As confusing as it seems her only job is to make sure this baby is brought into the world safe and sound because it could be humanities last hope! As you delve deeper and deeper into the book my questions were mounting and they were finally pleasantly answered. If you are into Science Fiction don’t miss this intriguing read!

Cribbs offers a unique twist on the story of the virginal birth. Honestly, I am not religious at all, but I was still very intrigued by the storyline. I definitely was not disappointed! I thoroughly enjoyed the story, even if some of the religious nuance was lost on me. I particularly recommend this book if you like the dystopian genre. It was nice to have a dystopian read done a bit differently than anything else I have read.

Jeremy Full of Grace is the latest release from the talented Greta Cribbs. I have read most of Ms. Cribbs books now, so when this popped up on my recommended book feed I didn’t hesitate to snap up a copy and dive in. This book is a little difficult to label, being quite an intriguing mix of elements. There is definitely a sci-fi aspect to the story, as well as a bit of a dystopian feel- with mystery, miracles, drama, thought provoking developments, religion, hope, and faith. The world population has been devastated by a plague which has also left the survivors sterile. The very fate of humanity is at stake. We meet Jeremy, a 17 year old boy….. who just happens to be PREGNANT! You read that right- a pregnant BOY. I must admit I wasn’t sure how this thread of the story would play out, or how believable it would be- but Ms. Cribbs made it entirely plausible- delivering a engrossing story that gave me plenty to think about. A well-woven, original, and intriguing story- with a good dose of miracles, faith, belief… and new beginnings- it all made for a great read.

Eight years after a plague killed most of the world’s population, leaving the survivors barren, midwife Leslie travels the countryside in search of some sign that humanity may still have a future. She never expected that sign to take the form of Jeremy, a seventeen-year-old Catholic boy who claims to have been impregnated following what he believes was a visitation from the Virgin Mary.
Leslie, an agnostic, is skeptical of his story, but cannot deny what the physical evidence and her trained eye are telling her: that Jeremy is indeed carrying a child inside his body. Questions abound over whether Jeremy’s version of events is true, but even as Leslie grapples with her own conflicting feelings about faith, she knows that first and foremost she has a duty to perform: ensuring the safe birth of this child who may well be final hope of the doomed human race
