Hard as Steel (Surviving Series Book 4) by Virginia Wine – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Hard as Steel: Book four (Hard as Steel: Book four by Virginia Wine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hard as Steel is the fourth book in the Surviving Series by Virginia Wine; this romance suspense/mystery will keep you glued to your reading device. This was my first book by this author and I will tell you that you need to read these books in order. I might have been lost in the beginning but. Virginia’s writing will captivate you with the mystery and suspense that will keep you reading. Steel and Nicole were such great characters, how could you not feel what was going on in this book. I will be adding the first three books to my reading list and looking forward to the next book.

Must Have Faith (Darling Cove Book 2) by Deborah Garland – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Must Have Faith (Darling Cove #2)Must Have Faith by Deborah Garland
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Must Have Faith is the second book in Darling Cove series by Deborah Garland; this was a wonderful emotional second chance romance. You met Greg and Faith in Must Love Fashion but the question running through my mind the whole time was why Faith left Greg. We finally get the answer, plus see the anger and passion that 10 years apart does to these childhood sweethearts. Can Faith and Greg get a second chance at love or will Faith run off to London?

Faith and Greg have so many things to work out but their lust for one another keeps getting in the way of them talking. Nothing was better than the kitchen table scene; I couldn’t stop laughing at how embarrassing that was. But what really touched my heart was the ending; reading the last 25% of this book will have you needing a box of tissues. Deborah the writing was heartbreaking and had me feeling everything that they were going thru.

So looking forward to reading Edward and Skye’s story next.

Must Love Fashion (Darling Cove Book 1) by Deborah Garland – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Must Love Fashion (Darling Cove #1)Must Love Fashion by Deborah Garland
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Must Love Fashion by Deborah Garland. This was a great start to the Darling Cove series. Gwen and Andrew are both at a point of starting over – Gwen with a new PR Executive job and Andrew with moving on after losing his wife to cancer. Like all office romances, there are some bumps in the road and lots of side glances. But after getting to know each other better; that’s when the sparks really started flying. The side topic of cancer made me an emotional wreck. Not in a bad way just made me think of my life and what is going on. I did love getting the insiders look at the fashion world, very interesting. Deborah’s writing flowed at a great pace that it will keep you reading all day/night long. Really looking forward to seeing what happens next in Darling Cove.

BECKONED, Part 5: Adrift in Costa Rica by Aviva Vaughn – Review by Jessica Leombruno

BECKONED, Part 5: Adrift in Costa RicaBECKONED, Part 5: Adrift in Costa Rica by Aviva Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Adrift in Costa Rica is the 5th book in the Beckoned series by Aviva Vaughn and I am so glad to have another book in this series. I fell in love with the workaholic Soren in the first 4 books, now I get to fall for the surfer Soren who looks like Thor – YES PLEASE! Like the last 4 books, the writing will have you feeling like you are in Costa Rica right beside Soren and Elena.

A heartbroken Soren has now found himself is a small village in Costa Rica trying to find what is next for him. After a small surfing accident, Soren meets Elena an ex-pro surfer. Soren has decided to extend his stay and take surfing and Spanish lessons. While meeting Elena, Soren has become a lighter version of himself but will Elena’s past put a stop to their romance.

I so need Soren to find his true love; someone that will balance out his workaholic side with his laid-back side. But I have a feeling Elena is not that person if she lets her past back into her life. Aviva again, you have me on the edge of my seat ready for New Zealand.

Give and Take (The Thorne Brothers, #2) by Lee Kilraine – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Give and Take (The Thorne Brothers, #2)Give and Take by Lee Kilraine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Give and Take is the perfect title for this book by Lee Kilraine. Every person who likes color in their life needs some beige to balance them out and the same can be said for a person who likes too much beige. We all know what happens when you put two people who are like night/day in a small space together; they banter like children and you could cut the sexual tension with a knife. And that was Wyatt Thorne and Rhia Hollis. I really like both of these characters, but the first two times they meet were awesome. I loved how Rhia would add touches to Wyatt’s office just for color. Wyatt’s brothers were always good for some extra comic relief too.
Even behind all the drama you still get the hint of family togetherness and the bond between these brothers. I will defiantly be going back and reading the first book to find out how they learned about the sister and really looking forward to continuing this series – I need more Thorne brothers!

Fisher of Men (The Eastern Shore Swingers #1) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Fisher of MenFisher of Men by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Fisher of Men was my first book by Phoebe Alexander and it was worth of 3.5 stars out of 5. I have a like/dislike relationship with this book, it was the one subject of the book that drew me in but the other subject wasn’t something I normally read about and because of that I didn’t feel a connection with the female lead. The writing was well written but I have to admit some of Leah’s backstory I skipped over and I didn’t care for the scriptures at the beginning every chapter. I did like that Mrs. Alexander took a chance at showing two different people from totally different worlds coming together and building a relationship. You don’t see too many romance books take this big of a risk in its subject matters.

But this book isn’t going to stop me from reading the other books in this series. Like I said, one subject matter caught my eye and I would like to see where Mrs. Alexander takes the other stories within this club.

Summer Fling by Tarrah Anders – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Summer FlingSummer Fling by Tarrah Anders
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If you have read any of my reviews on Tarrah Anders’ books before then you know how much I love her books/writing. Well, Summer Fling was no different; this was a wonderful story about Royce and Emma. Their love story had me swooning so much, that I wished I had a summer fling in my younger years. But, this story was not only sweet and romantic; it had plenty of cray-cray to go around too. Plus we can’t forget all the Hot Sexiness between Royce and Emma; it’s not a Tarrah Anders book without some steamy sexy time between the sheets.

Everything about this book just flowed, there was never a moment that dragged or felt like it needs something. You will be on the edge of your seat ill the end wanting to know what is going to happen next. The little tease in the epilogue has me hoping for another book just about Jackson.

This hot steamy read will get you through some cold winter nights!

Just Exes by Charity Ferrell – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Just ExesJust Exes by Charity Ferrell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Just Exes by Charity Ferrell was an emotional second chance enemies-to-lovers book. I had to finish this book before going to bed (1 am) because you have two different events going on at the same time. How could anyone put a book down with all that happening? So yes, I went to sleep with red puffy eyes because I cried like a baby. Charity’s will draw you in after the first chapter and not let go till the very end.

Gage and Lauren’s relationship gave me everything that I love – bantering almost every time they saw each other, the heartbreaking past flashbacks and of course the HOT hate sex; which turned into reunion sex. Plus, I loved seeing Lauren’s brother again and getting updated on that was going on.

P.S. – Kyle needs his own book; I need more Kyle!!

Badge Bunny (Romance in Rehoboth Book 4) by K.L. Montgomery – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Badge Bunny (Romance in Rehoboth Book 4)Badge Bunny by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Badge Bunny a person who dates A LOT of cops; is the fourth book in the Romance in Rehoboth series by K.L. Montgomery and my first book by this author. I love small town romance because secrets are never secrets for long.

Chris and Brynne don’t like each other much at first or should I say Brynne doesn’t care for Trooper A**Hat at first. When Chris and Brynne stopped bickering and let their feeling move forward, it was an emotional sweet cute story. There is so much to this story other than two people meeting and falling in love.

If the first three books are anything like this enjoyable funny slow burn Rom Com than I need to go back and start this series from the beginning, this group of friends are hilarious.

Whiskey DickWhiskey Dick by Ryan Ringbloom
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I don’t know what it is lately but all I what to read is Rom Com’s and I think I found one that that has set the bar. Whiskey Dick was a quick hysterically funny book by Ryan Ringbloom, who is a new author to me. You will love Paisley and Jax, their chemistry was off the charts. The writing was enjoyable and easy to read. This book will have me looking closely at people next time I am in an airport bar. If you are looking for a good laugh that can make a bad day better then you need to read this book. I can’t wait for Whiskey Chick and to check out Ryan’s other books.

Unbreak This HeartUnbreak This Heart by Betty Shreffler
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Unbreak This Heart by Betty Shreffler is at the top of my Favorite Books of 2018, I recommended every romance lover to read this book.

I am not going to tell you too much about this book I will just say – This book will commune you with its flawless emotional writing, it will fill you angry at all the BS in one person’s life. And if you find the right person and fight hard enough, you will have the strength to move forward and have the life you have always wanted.

Before reading this book, make sure a glass (bottle) of wine and box of tissues are nearby. If what I said and the blurb don’t have you one-clicking this book then I don’t know what to say.

Tightrope: Book 2 by Maddie Wade – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Tightrope: Book 2Tightrope: Book 2 by Maddie Wade
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was the perfect conclusion to Hunter and Lexi’s story. I was anxious to read Tightrope: Book 2 after the ending in the first book; I just had to know what was going to happen next. The beginning had me a little worried but by the end, I didn’t want this book to end. The writing was so good that it kept me on the edge of my seat knowing that Lexi’s ex-husband wasn’t done. But I didn’t see that climax coming.

Hunter and Lexi’s love was put to the test, multiple times in this book and it was amazing to see how Hunter wasn’t going to give up without a fight. Highly recommend this duet but make sure you buy both books at the same time.

**P.S. I am begging for a book/duet about Jack and Cherry, I need to know what happened in the past and if there is a future!! **

The Blogger and the HunkThe Blogger and the Hunk by Jane Matisse
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Blogger and the Hunk is my first book by Jane Matisse. This was a super cute story, it was the blurb that had me wanting to read this book. The writing was easy to read and had a great plot. I enjoyed how Penelope and Jack tried to stay away but something always pulled them together. But I am sad to say that I didn’t really connect with Penelope and Jack. Other than that, this was a fun romantic comedy and I’m looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Brody (Default Distraction #1) by A.S. Roberts – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Brody (Default Distraction #1)Brody by A.S. Roberts
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Brody by A.S. Roberts was my first book by this author. This love at first sight rocker romance was a great read and boy did it have some steamy sex scenes; who loves a good dirty talking lead singer – THIS GIRL!

Brody first laid eyes on Amy at her Nan’s shop then after a few little accidents; he couldn’t stay away from her. Brody loved the fact that Amy didn’t know that he was a famous rock-star and wanted her to get to know the real Brody. And we all know that this decision is going to backfire on him at some point.

I hate to say this but I took me some time to get into this book at first, but by the end, I was so glued to my kindle. I am so looking forward to reading more from this series, I see some very interesting things about to happen.

Flirt: A College Romance (What Happens on Campus #2) by M.L. Sparrow – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Flirt: A College Romance (What Happens on Campus #2)Flirt: A College Romance by M.L. Sparrow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Flirt is the second book in the What Happens on Campus series by M.L. Sparrow. This book picks up around where Player left off, but this book can be read as a standalone (recommend reading Player). Riley is a little lost after losing her gymnastics career and wanted to try the college life. Well, she tried the wrong college life – drinking, drugs dealer “boyfriend” and sleeping around. Cameron is your typical good guy; he loves math and science, doesn’t drink much and go to church. Cameron has always been in love with Riley since they somewhat grow up together. Riley needed someone to put her on the right track before something really bad happened but is Cameron the right person and why is Riley really acting like this?

I really liked this book; Riley and Cameron were just the right balance for each other. At times I couldn’t believe that Riley was so selfish and didn’t think of anyone else. I wanted to smack her friends for waiting so long to do something about it. But I guess you have to let someone fall before you help to pick them up.

I’m looking forward to the next book but I have a feeling I’m not going to like what happened to Terri. A box of tissue will be on standby.

Georgia Pine (Southern Promises Book 3) by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Georgia Pine (Southern Promises Book 3)Georgia Pine by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Georgia Pine is the third book in the Southern Promises series by K.G. Fletcher. Every book in this series just keeps getting better than the last. You briefly meet Jessica in Georgia Clay and got a quick glimpse into Jessica’s life in Georgia on My Mind and I excited to find out that the next book would be her story. I loved everything about Tim and Jessica’s story; he is the perfect gentleman for this Southern Belle. From their first meeting in the pantry, Tim was meant to loved and take care of these five girls. The way Tim cherished Jessica and loved her adorable four girls melted my heart. Some parts of this story reminded me of my step-father coming into my life and being the father that I needed.

K.G. Fletcher, your writing had me glued to my kindle from beginning to end. I can’t wait to see what you write next!

Player (What Happens on Campus #1) by M.L. Sparrow – Review by Jessica Leombruno

PlayerPlayer by M.L. Sparrow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I found Player by M.L. Sparrow more enjoyable than the last couple of NA Sport Romance books that I have read. The writing was smooth and very evenly paced. I liked that the romance wasn’t rushed and even though Chloe and Parker tried to be friends first; they both knew it wasn’t going to work. This book is the perfect world building book; most of that drama sets around the other characters to set up those books. Don’t get me wrong, Chloe and Parker did have their share of drama but they fit together so well it didn’t make too big of a mess for their relationship. Overall, I would recommend this book if you’re looking to start a new New Adult College romance series.

Why Not Me? by Ashley Erin – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Why Not Me?Why Not Me? by Ashley Erin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Why Not Me? is my first book by Ashley Erin. The blurb is what got me to read this book but it was the writing that kept me turning the pages. This was an enjoyable sweet book, far warning if you have a problem with cheating in a book – this might not be the book for you.

Why Not Me? will have you questioning past and present relationships. Wondering if a person from the past came back into your life would it change your present relationship? Allie is caught between two men and has a big decision to make; stay in a friend/roommate relationship or try again with a man that you have amazing chemistry with. I will say that I didn’t see that twist at the ending coming, that could have ruin Allie forever.

Georgia On My Mind (Southern Promises Book 2) by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Georgia On My Mind (Southern Promises #2)Georgia On My Mind by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

KG Fletcher, you’ve got me hooked to this series!

Georgia On My Mind is the second book in the Southern Promises series and it was so good. Gia and Hart are two broken people who find each other just at the right time and boy do the sparks fly. Hart and Gia might be a little sexier then Clay and Katie. Again I loved everything about this book, KG’s writing is so enjoyable that you don’t want to see her books ended.

If you love a good southern boy who just wants to take care of his woman, then you need to read this book. Heck, read this series because the blurb for the next book sounds so good – Single Mom of 4 girls and the Gardener, SOLD!!!

Georgia Clay (Southern Promises, Book 1) by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Georgia Clay (Southern Promises, #1)Georgia Clay by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Georgia Clay is my first book by KG Fletcher and I am hooked. Katie and Clay’s story was sexy funny and swoon-worthy. I loved the fact that this book was half set in Nashville because I love Nashville and felt like I was there with how KG described of the city.

How many of us all wish we could go to our high school reunion and just hit it off with our crush 10 years later? Well, that is how Katie and Clay’s romance started. Katie and Clay both had very demanding jobs but found a way to make long-distance relationship work, didn’t hurt that they were only a 4-hour car ride away.

I loved everything about this book, from Clay’s southern charm to the other characters in the book. Oh, my Goodness, the song Clay wrote for Katie was amazing.

If you’re looking for a book to get lost in while sitting on a back porch drinking Iced Tea, this is the book for you!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

If you’re looking for a quick dirty sexy read than Yes, Sir is the book for you. J Richards, I swear you wrote this book for me; this book is something I have had so many dreams about. I can relate to Abby Jackson and what she goes through with her husband, who pays more attention to a game console. I don’t think I would have the guts to play truth or dare on Girl’s Night, if I knew it would lead to what happened in this book I might say Yes, Sir!. You definitely need to read this book if you want to spice things up in the bedroom. You might even need a cold shower after reading this book.

Wine Thief (Resort Romances Book 5) by Mary Billiter – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Wine Thief (Resort Romances #5)Wine Thief by Mary Billiter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Mary Billiter is a new author to me, but the title and blub had me, a book about Napa Valley and Wine, Yes Please! Chole and Tony are great characters and this was a good modern day romance with a little mystery mixed in, like keep me turning the pages. You will learn a lot about wine that I want to go on a wine train now. But unfortunately, there might have been too much information that it overpowered the story a little. Mary Billiter writing is well written but at times maybe a little too descriptive. I hate to say that because I wish some author were more descriptive in their writing. I am looking forward to going back and reading the other books in this series.

Tightrope by Maddie Wade was rollercoaster of a first book for me. This book will leave you screaming at your kindle because you can’t believe the way it ended and are in need of the next book. There were so many twists that I had to re-read a few chapters just to make sure I was reading things right. Your emotions will be all over the place; you will feel sorry for someone then by the end you will want to punch that person. I am not going to give anything away; I will just say that I couldn’t put this book down If you’re looking for a book that will suck you in and have you begging for more; highly recommend that you read this book.

The Brute by Tarrah Anders – Review by Jessica Leombruno

The BruteThe Brute by Tarrah Anders
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Brute by Tarrah Anders was another addicting read. If you’re looking for a fast-paced sexy office romance where the Beauty tames the Beast with a little revenge twisted in; this book will have you up-all-night!

Ben is the CEO of Adams Enterprises who will fire someone for just looking at him the wrong way. Ben needs a new assistant because they keep quitting on him (I wonder why). In walks Bella a small-town farmer’s daughter, but she can hold her own when it comes to Ben and she has him figured out. At Bella’s three month evaluation besides telling Bella how good she is at her job, Ben ask Bella to be his date to a Gala. This is just the beginning of their office romance…

Like I have said before about Tarrah’s books, she knows how to write some hot steamy scenes that will leave you needing a cold shower afterward. You will fall hard and fast in love with Ben and Bella; they are just so cute together and balance one another perfectly.

Honey Gold (Murder in Savannah, Book 2) by Lindsay Marie Miller – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Honey Gold (Murder in Savannah, #2)Honey Gold by Lindsay Marie Miller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Honey Gold was intriguing 4 stars read for my first book by Lindsay Marie Miller. As this is the second book in the Murder in Savannah series; I didn’t know that this series needs to be read in order. The blurb is what had me wanting to read this book; so I might have been a little confused in the beginning.

The writing and the “What will Happen Next” feel throughout the book, is what kept me turning the pages. There are little storylines in this book besides just the main story. I definitely will be going back to read the first book to fill in some gaps. I really want to know more about Tom and Addie. I’m looking forward to reading more of Tom and Addie’s story.

This was a romantic suspense/mystery is packed with action that will keep you turning the pages. Dane and Shana still having time between the action, for some steamy sexy romance because we know they can’t keep their hands to themselves.

Can’t wait to see what Dane and Shana next case will be; will we be hearing wedding bells anytime soon?

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Well, I didn’t see that coming!

Beckoned Part 4: From Barcelona with Love by Aviva Vaughn, you must read this series in order and trust me you won’t be disappointed. If you want a series with a slow burn, long-distance relationship with a hint of a love triangle and Hot Sexy scenes than these books are for you. Aviva writing you will get you hooked in London and leave you wanting more in Barcelona.

Thru all four books, I have been rooting for Angela and Soren but now I am heartbroken and happy at the same time. I understand the reasoning behind it but, if she loved him that much where was the fight. The fact the Angela didn’t run straight to Kieran, made me happy and I am glad that Angela found someone that made her happy the way that was meant to be.

I am SO READY for Costa Rica, bring on more Soren!!

Road-Tripped (Ad Agency #1)Road-Tripped by Nicole Archer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Road Tripped by Nicole Archer was a first for me by this author. If you love a good office romance with some funny bantering between the couple then this is the book for you. It took me a couple of chapters to really get into the book, but by the end, I was ready to buy the next book.

Callie really didn’t like any of her co-workers and hated it even more, when she got told that she has to take a road trip across the U.S. with Walker – the office player. Callie and Walker have so many layers to them that it took talking and fighting to get to know one another. But when they started to understand one another better, the sparks were flying and it was steamy.

This was a well written and enjoyable book. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the Ad Agency series. Never had a cross-country road trip but it sounds like fun, I think?!?

BECKONED, Part 3: From Los Angeles with Love by Aviva Vaughn – Review by Jessica Leombruno

BECKONED, Part 3: From Los Angeles with LoveBECKONED, Part 3: From Los Angeles with Love by Aviva Vaughn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Beckoned Part 3: From Los Angeles with Love by Aviva Vaughn was a little more drama-filled than the last two books; I liked it. After an unresolved goodbye in London, Angela and Soren are trying to make their long-distance relationship work. They have a few bumps along the way, but the biggest challenge is in the form of a Hot Motorcycle riding Bookstore Owner, or as Angela calls him Mr. TDD (Tall Dark and Dangerous). What will Soren do when he finds out who Angela is spending most of her time with? We already know about Soren’s jealous side.

Soren and Angela know how to heat up the pages with their phone calls and form smoke on my kindle when they are in each other’s arms. Angela and Soren have the chemistry but have different takes on life, while Angela and Kieran share something just not sure if it’s more than friendship. Looking forward to the next book to see how this drama will play out.
