Bowled: Facing the Yorker of Love (To Love a Sportsman Book 1) by Pamela Q. Fernandes. This is a new to me author. I really enjoyed this book, who doesn’t love sports and a sexy guy. Throw in a quirky, funny woman and you have one good book. This book is about Mathew and Rose. He is a cricket player and she is a teacher. What started at a joke tweet, turned into jokingly flirting, turns into Rose traveling to stay with him for a “visit”. They are both coming off of emotional and difficult times. I enjoyed this book and can not wait to see what else is in story.

Fernandes – Review by Lucy Berson
I really enjoyed this book, I like historical reads but not usually in this time period however I thought it was a really good read. The author’s writing was very detailed, sometimes this did make affect the pace of the story but I did appreciate the level of detail that she included. I liked how she took a real life time period but made it into a fiction story! The characters were well thought out and had a realistic feel to them. Lily was a great female lead, strong and independent. There was some great action in the story and certainly some nail biting moments as I waited to see what was going to happen and how the story would unfold. The Brass Compass was a fantastic read and one that I highly recommend! I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from Ms Butler again in the future!

Women despise me and men want me in their bed, and I’m okay with both. I use my sexuality to get what I want, and I make no apologies for it. No one knows me, the real me. My hardened shell protects that ruined little girl buried deep inside, a girl I tried to leave back in Florida so many years ago. But then he walks into Pulse one evening and sees me, the real me, not Tals, the sex kitten but Tallie, the girl that ran away.
