Act I: Seed on Fire (Moore Family Saga) by Michele Sims was a great read! This is the first book I have read by this author and I absolutely fell in love. The character development is amazing! And I couldn’t get enough. The book had me hooked from the very beginning and the emotional roller coaster it took me on was wonderful. I cant wait to read the next book in this series, or anything else this author has written. I give this book a solid 5 stars!

5 Star A High Price to Pay (The Madeline Dawkins Series Book 2) by Cynthia Hamilton A High Price to Pay is the second Book in The Madeline Dawkins Series and I will highly suggest reading the first book in this series if you haven’t already. I found myself again lost in the pages and at times I was on the edge of my seat trying to put the pieces together to figure out what happens next. Find out what happens when a background check turns into much more. Will they figure out who is behind it? I truly enjoyed this book as much as the first one. Madeline and Mike are amazing characters that at times I felt like I was right there with them. I highly recommend reading this book. You won’t be disappointed I know I wasn’t. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

This duet box set was amazing to read! I couldn’t get enough of the story and I was so glad both books were together so I could read them immediately. This story sucked me and I couldn’t put it down! Kenzie is such a great character and she seems like someone you could absolutely be friends with. Nicholas seems contradictory at times in regards to how he feels about relationships and his tenderness toward Kenzie. I loved these characters as much as I loved the story!

This is the third installment of the Feisty Lawyers series and while characters from the previous two books are pretty well introduced, I think the series should be read in order. It’s been a hot minute since I read the last book and I was a bit lost on who was who at times.
This is a fast moving story that is full of action and intrigue. There are times when I wasn’t truly sure of character’s motives and other times I was 100% wrong with what I thought was going to happen.
This is my favorite of the series so far and I really hope we get to read Hope and Cate’s story next.

The story Murder Creek by Jane Suen is an amazing book to read. It pulled me in right from the start and didn’t let go until I had finished the final page. It has mystery and suspense. I loved reading about the character of Eve Sawyer. She is drawn to Murder Creek and the unsolved disappearance of Lacey Walken. Eve is determined to find out what happened so many years ago. She is stubborn and resourceful. Will Eve find out what happened to Lacey? Read this book to find out. This story had me following the clues with Eve and I felt like I was right there with her investigating. There are interesting and intriguing additional characters that are introduced. Some of them are helpful to Eve and others are not. This is a story that is captivating, and you will find yourself not able to put it down. It is a book that I would highly recommend reading.

Saint Augustina is a cyber-spy. She is strong, as well as strong willed. She can take care of herself in a fight. I think that is why I like her character. It was fun reading and learning about the other characters as well. This futuristic story has way to many spoilers. No spoilers here. You just need to read it.
Megan Mackie has written this fast paced suspense story. It is well written and just fun to read. It is a page turning, can’t get off my seat, until I finish, kind of book. I was glued to the book and had to finish in one read. I didn’t read much of this type of book, but I can say I’ll be looking for more in this genre. Thanks a lot Megan Mackie, I’ll be looking for more from you.

The story Dread by Jeff Wade is a short horror book that is wonderful to read and has moments when I got chills. It is a story that hooked me in from the start and I read the entire book in one sitting. The author has written a story that is page-turning and had me wondering what will happen next. The main character is intriguing as he tries to figure what has happened to him. There is a struggle to recalls events. This story takes the term psychological thriller to a new level. There are moments that are emotional and moments that sent shivers up my spine. There are also intense moments. What happens to the main character in the story? Read this book to find out. This book is an example of wonderful writing and making the main character come alive. I would highly recommend reading this book.

After Wrath is the second book in the Deadliest Sin Series by Gwyn McNamee. I did really think Ms. McNamee could get any darker than the first book in this series, but I was wrong. The second book is dark. You need to read this series in order to get the full storyline. This book had me enthralled from beginning to end and I couldn’t put it down until the last page. I don’t want to give anything of the plot line away so all I’m going to say about this book is Beware of the Dragon! If you love dark and dirty this is the series for you.

Nite Fire: Smoke & Mirrors by C.L. Schneider is the third book in the Nite Fire series. I recommend reading the other books in the series but this can be enjoyed as a standalone. This is a good story and brings us back to Dahlia Nite, who is a half-dragon shapeshifter. She has been brought into a case with Detective Alex Creed when dismembered bodies start appearing. I really enjoy the characters and how they have developed over the series. I also like how there is a crossover between the two worlds. Both are well developed and are important parts of the story. The paranormal is well utilized and helps to add to the suspense in the story. I will be looking for more from this author in the future.

I loved this book, my favorite. This is a well written, creative, sitting on the edge of your seat story. The characters, Eve is my favorite, bring the story to life. This story is a journey of suspense, mystery that takes place in a town named for past murders. Eve finds herself being pulled toward a cold case of a missing girl. The more she puts the pieces together the more danger it creates for her. This is a must read, I highly recommend finding out if Eve survives her investigation.

It is a psychological thriller that will keep you sitting on the edge of your seat. The twists and turns the characters take you on will keep you turning pages. The story is well written as well as the characters are engaging and make the story feel real. When Frank finds himself trapped in a cave, he starts to lose his mind. Will he make it out safely or will fate have something else in store for him. Is it real or is it a nightmare that feels real? I highly recommend reading this book.

Cult is book three in the Feisty Lawyers series by Seelie Kay. This series is edgy, exciting, and it was an amazing surprise to find such talent and such spellbinding pleasure in pages is a real treat. I always fall for the characters i get to know, and always finish a book with a little piece of my heart being given to them. That feeling of completeness cannot be described and is one i will hold dear forever. The characters are such a complete entertaining package, you cannot help but be swept away and enthralled with all that is the Feisty Lawyers. 4 stars.

Saint Code is the fourth book of the Lucky Devil series by Megan Mackie. Even though it is the fourth book, it can be a stand alone book, but I bet you will want to read the rest of the series after this book. Megan gains my interest within the first couple of pages and I enjoy the ride to the last pages. This book is fast moving adventure through Data Bowl, a cybernetic city. Also while reading this book, I could not help but wonder if this is the way life will become eventually with everything happening in the cybernetic cities of the digital world. St. Augustina is once again one of the main characters who has taken yet another job from Orange Lady. Should everything be normal job like the others before? Just as the title suggests there will be a “lost” but what will be lost? Will St Augustina regret taking this job from Lady Orange?

Book 3 in The Nite Fire Series has once again captivated me from start to finish. Smoke & Mirrors is captivating, vivid, magical and utterly brilliant. The mentally visual read is stunningly descriptive with brilliant world building and great characters. This author has created a flowing read that keeps you invested in the story, and keeps you turning the pages!
This read is filled with suspense, mystery, fantasy and danger. To make it even more enjoyable is that it’s a Shifter read, one that is unique and different from other Shifter reads I have read. This book is also filled with twists and turns throughout, that leave you guessing up till the very end. I love that the characters stories carry on and bring this read to life even more than it already is!. This is a fast-paced, action-packed read and I highly recommend this read and this series!

I am a professed 100% complete lifelong fan of this author, I don’t care what it is, if her name is on it I read it. She is one of those authors that you never know what your going to get when you open one of her books and she always finds a way to mess with my mind and leaves me staring into space when I finish one of her stories.
In saying all of that..I loved Murder Creek. Is it a favorite of all I’ve read from her?.. No. That is because it didn’t leave me questioning everything at the end and didn’t have a mind bending twist like most of her stories do. Does it mean I enjoyed it any less?.. No. This was still vintage Jane Suen and everything I love about her. She is a master storyteller and I felt like I was in the book, walking right alongside Eve, I could see her hotel room, I could feel the atmosphere while at the creek, I was hesitant about everyone she met in her journey to find out what happened to Lacey Walken. I love how dedicated Eve was and her nightmares scared me. I felt it all and that’s just one of the reasons I love this author so much!
Not going to give away any part of this storyline, you have to read it and experience the building of this investigation and see how it ends. This part was not something I expected and it was enough of a twist to make every word leading up to it totally worth it.
Read this and everything else you can get your hands on by this author..She is amazing!

This is a short mystery that kept my interest from the beginning. There is a large cast of characters that come into play as Eve sorts through the evidence for a missing girl. I didn’t see the ending which is a plus. I love not being able to figure out the “who-dunnit”.
This is not a first time author for me. The story moves along at a quick pace. It has lovely short chapters which helps move things along for some reason. The characters are interesting and i was suspicious of them all! For a quick mystery…pickup this up.

Tracking Numbers by Janice Whiteaker is the first book in the Lost Boys MC Series. This book is hot with a capital H to say the least. Even if you don’t like MC books I would still urge you to give this book a try. Yes it is about characters of an MC club but somehow it felt so much more than that as well. And even if this isn’t your favourite type of book, the characters will blow you away. Kerri and Tracker are just amazing. Their chemistry is off the charts and they have such a connection I could feel it in every page that I read. Although I have read books previously this author, and thought I knew exactly what to expect, this book absolutely blew me away. Incredible writing and incredible characters, what more could you possible want?

Hoosier Dad by Elizabeth Seckman is a contemporary romance book with loveable characters and a great story line to boot. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I was really taken with her writing style. She effortlessly draws you in and makes you fall instantly in love with the characters she has created. Sarah and Rich were so clearly made for each other and they were the type of characters that you really get behind. I loved the story as well. I liked the fact that it was the father fighting for his kids rather than the typical story of the mother doing so. It gave it an edge to the book that you don’t always see. I was also really taken with the cover of this book. Even if I hadn’t decided to read it anyway I think the cover would have made me pause long enough to give it a try. This is a great book and one that I can highly recommend. I am looking forward to exploring more of Elizabeth Seckman’s work in the future.

Dinner with The Wolf is the second book in Kimberly Forrest’s Misfits & Rogues series. It follows Vivian, a vampire who has run away from the community she lived in after a mistake left her fearing the punishment she was due. Jules, an immortal wolf shifter, is identified as the best person to go and retrieve Vivian despite the historic tensions between the pair. It’s an exciting, action-packed book with a well-established urban fantasy setting. I haven’t read the first book in the series and found it easy enough to follow and enjoy the story, but I’m adding that to my tbr list now as I enjoyed Dinner with The Wolf! I particularly enjoyed the juxtaposition of Vivian and Jules’ attitudes towards immortality. Vivian chose to pursue immortality, whilst Jules received it involuntarily. This leads to some interesting conversations about the price of immortality. I also liked how the Greenlawn community features a variety of supernatural creatures, and the dynamics between them. It was good to see how they came together when a member of their community, like Vivian, was at risk. For me, this is a five star book. I love a good urban fantasy and Dinner with The Wolf is detailed without being over complicated. I’d recommend it to fans of vampires and werewolves who like well developed characters and settings.

I absolutely love this series. It’s one of those series that has you wanting to read more and more!
Robin is a witch who is bound to serve Barbara and has for the past 5 years. Barbara wants Robin to kill the camera man, Jackson, and struggles with fulfilling this order. When she tells her she’s not going to do it, Barbara hires out and ups the deadline to carry out this order. Now Robin’s clock is ticking to fix the chaos around her.
I love how well rounded all the characters are and the twists and turns in the plot keep you guessing. This series is a great weekend binge!

Hidden Magic: A Sanctuary Chronicles Novella by India Kells is a must read! This was truly a fantastic paranormal read that I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish.
This novella was detailed, action-packed, shocking, intense and beyond addicting. This storyline ended way too fast for my liking as I could have read about Brant and Kat for hours.
I would absolutely recommend anything from India Kells as she never ceases to amaze me! I can’t wait to read more from this talented author in the future!

Gwyn McNamee never ceases to amaze me, no matter what the genre of her stories I can’t help but be completely consumed with her writing! After Wrath is the second book in Gwyn’s Deadliest Sin series, a series I couldn’t recommend enough. The stories are action-packed, dark, shocking and steamy. Even though the length of the stories are short the storyline is so well rounded and full of detail.

Every time I pick up a book by this author I am always hooked by what I am reading. Hidden Magic may have been a novella but it was packed full with a wonderful storyline and equally as wonderful characters. I am completely in love with Kat and Brant’s story, it is just so beautifully written. Brant’s determination just showed how much Kat means to him and I was rooting for them the whole way through. I honestly thought that they were so perfect for each other. The whole story is just so beautifully and richly detailed that at times it is so easy to imagine what I am reading. I cannot recommend this book enough and I am so excited to read more for Ms Kells again in the future!

When I first started this series I remember thinking that I wasn’t sure I was going to like it, it’s not my usual genre to read but I really liked the sound of the blurb so I thought I would give it a go and now here I am on book 4 and I have absolutely loved it! Ms Mackie has introduced me to a new genre that I am really enjoying. Her writing is so exciting to read and I love that her books are so unpredictable. I’m not sure the characters are ones that I particularly connect with but the stories are so interesting to read about I am hooked from the very beginning. Saint Augustina was a great character to read about and I think there is a little more to her than there first seems. She may be a cyber spy but she had more of a human feel than other characters. This was a richly detailed story that I highly recommend!

Another fantastic read in this series! I am really enjoying it. This is the third book in the Nite Fire series and it was just as an exciting read as the first two. The authors writing never fails to pull me in straight away. There were some great twists and turns in the story that constantly had me guessing about what was going to happen. I love Dahlia and Alex, they have such a great relationship, they really do work well together and I enjoy the banter that they have between them. They are very entertaining characters to read about. There is just something about Dahlia that I can’t help but like, she is strong and independent and she really is just a likeable character. Another wonderful book by C L Schneider and one that I highly recommend!

As soon as I read the description of Smoke and Mirrors, I knew all plans were off until I finished reading. A serial killer and clues to follow that are too good to be true? Nothing gets past Dahlia for long but the ride in between is phenomenal. I’ve read the previous books and love Dahlia as well as her relationship with Detective Creed. Their banter is genuine in both its irritation and respect. The two worlds involved are incredibly rich in the details provided and, while I never suggest reading a series out of order, the reader is given enough to get by on the previous events bother normal and supernatural. But why dive into the the third when the set up is the best part?! All types of readers will enjoy this book and the entire series. It’s mystery with supernatural poured on top, deliciously mixed in, and with a list of compelling characters, C.L. Schneider will have you hooked.

Madeline Dawkins is back. She has escaped her ex-husband and his goons, in fact, they are in jail with hopefully no chance of ever getting out. Of course, that is not to be! Madeline has once again learned that she is tough and smart. With the help of Mike and some unlikely other characters, it’s time to show the bad guy just how tough she is.
I have once again enjoyed the adventure of Madeline Dawkins. I was on the edge of my seat wondering how everything would turn out. Cynthia Hamilton has an easy to read style which made it hard to put this book down. I love the way this story has a mystery inside of another mystery. Lots of action so there is never a boring moment.
Madeline’s character shows growth and potential in just these first two books. I can’t wait to see where Hamilton takes her. This book is part of a series so it is best to read them in order.

This is a book that can be read as a stand alone although it compliments the other books in the series. I enjoyed getting to know more about the Saints. We come across them in the other books in the series. They have always been sort of an enigma. Here we learn a bit but it’s not everything I thought it would be. I almost feel sorry for one of the Saints. They story is fast moving and interesting. Reading about this futuristic world and magic.

Nite Fire: Smoke and Mirrors is a Paranormal Thriller written by C.L. Schneider and the third book in the Nite Fire series. Secrets, lies, and armor have allowed Dahlia to live among the humans and still walk her world as well. When creatures of all kinds starting be found dead on the river banks, Dahlia and Detective Cross must take the case. Dahlia must use her empathetic abilities and when she does, she uncovers something even scarier then the web the serial killer has woven. She has a hard time lying to those that are her friends and worries her lies about many things could soon be found out.
C.L. Schneider again gave us an amazing read with two great worlds that I simply love. Dahlia is such a character and reading about her journey has been fascinating to me. As someone who was not a fan of the genre, this book, this author sure have changed my views. I give this book 5 stars!
Act 1: Seed On Fire, is the first book in the Moore Family Saga by Michele Sims. This was cleverly written and a delight to dive into to. The author did an amazing job building character and a setting that grabs the readers. This book had it all from adventure, romance, and to a strong family dynamic. This was my first read by this author and I will say this will not be MY LAST. She is an excellent author that I highly recommend. This story follows Kaiden and Alicia who are newly married couple living in NYC and already expecting a new baby that was conceived on their honeymoon. While they go through so much with the twist and turns they have such strong family dynamics. They show that together, strong family bonds are important with all that they face. I give this book 5 stars and I impatiently await the next book in this series!
