This is a great collection of seven short stories with fire and excitement. The narration is brilliant and really draws you into to each story with passion and wanting more.

Although these are short books, they wet your appetite for you to want explore them further and want to know what happens, so I wish some of these novellas will be turned into full length novels but we will see.

For something to listen to they are short enough for a car journey but watch who you have in the car as some of these can be pretty raunchy.

Awwww this was such a sweet book. I really had fun reading this to my son. It isn’t just a storybook but a great lesson to teach your kids. The illustration is also absolutely amazing.
Mornin takes notice that animals and birds are going extinct and then decides to start a campaign to bring this global crisis to everyone’s attention.

I love this author and have already listen to the first two books in this series and this book does not disappoint, we meet Hannah in the second book briefly but not quite understand how she is in the jungle but this book delves into her background and gets you wanting to hate her but I ended up routing for her and Jack.

 

The narrator is brilliant and really draws you into the story, I loved the way that the characters react to each other and the drama builds with the twists and turns.

 

I can’t wait to listen to the next book in this instalment.

The story is colourfully illustrated, and it will draw them in with pictures and song and give them some tools to help the planet. Mornin is a sweet hearted bird, who is on an adventure to fix and educate others about extinction and environmental issues and how to help along the way. It truly is an educational story, and the author provides links etc to further inform you. This wonderful tale will keep not only children but adults alike thinking about long after you have finished it. I read it to my two grand boys who are two and four and whilst they didn’t fully understand it’s meaning they loved the pictures and singing along.

Travels Through Aqua, Green, and Blue: A Memoir by Mary E. Gregory is a memoir of the authors life and travel. It is a moving story that will touch on the ol’ heart strings and it is also interesting. The writing style takes a bit to get used to as it is written in diary form and there are a lot of details that could have been left out. As they say “less is more”. Having said that I did enjoy the story and Mary’s trials and tribulations and it takes a lot to bare your sole and put yourself out there like she has done. Give it a go.

We continue with Hadley’s story, she is now living in Grand Haven. She is seeing NIck, but of course that doesn’t come without issues. His ex girlfriend is causing issues among other girls trying to cause drama. Being her first relationship she struggles with this. Nick is great with Hadley.

Overall this was a good read, we get all the high school mean girl drama. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. I struggled with the girls that Hadley called friends, since some of them seemed to have hidden agendas. But of course that’s high school drama of course. The author does a great job with her writing and pulls you right in. If you’re looking for a great YA series to read 1-click and get started today.

This story was fabulous. The backstory for the main character was heartbreaking and made me hurt for her. The way she wrote the secondary characters made me feel like I knew them all, and made me want to be a part of their life. The suspense and romance were seamlessly intertwined and really showed their relationship as so authentic. She did such an amazing job with all the characters, but especially with the internal conflict of the main character. She had so much going on in her mind and was so independent, but knew she needed help and was okay asking for it from someone she knew she could trust. Their relationship was so sweet but so realistic and they’re the type of couple that would be relentlessly teased (good-naturedly) about how cute they are.

What a great book! And the illustrations, blew me away! So bright and vibrant my kids loved to see all the animals.
The story itself is a great message too, we could all use a reminder to be better about leaving places we visit better than when we arrived and to keep it clean and green for future generations.

This was a great read. This book grabbed my attention from the start and I didn’t put it down until I finished reading it. Vanessa is trying everything she can to help her brother Piper, who is very sick. Vanessa has a big heart, she’s intelligent, genuinely sweet and a hard worker. I found her to be relatable and I kept rooting for her and her family. The fact that there are three attractive men in this story helps a lot. They are half brothers and each have their own powers. I enjoyed the author’s take on mythology, I found this story original and intriguing. This is rich in detail and the author left us wanting more. We get to know Grey and Raef in this book but we don’t know much about Aroz, so I’m hoping to get to know him more in the next book. I can’t wait to read the next book to see where the author takes us. I recommend reading this book.

Moonlit Kiss is my sixth novel by Amy McKinley and it is absolutely the most unique!

It takes place in the magical city of Venice where Gianna took a job to refresh artwork on the side of a home in the city. Little does Gianna know that she is already connected to the city in a way that she likely never could have imagined.

Sergio happens upon an American woman at a cafe in town and knows that that moment is life changing for him as well.

Both Gianna and Sergio feel a pull for each other that is hard to understand, but life is funny that way and all these things that happen to them, ultimately bring them closer together.

This story was truly unqiue and so romantic, tragic, and full of emotion!

This novella packed a lot of feelings in it! Moonlit Whisper follows Fiona and her being caught between the man that was there when she was at her lowest and the love of her life that left.

What happens when Connor comes back and stirs up all those feelings that never truly left, that are just buried? Will the jealously between all parties break apart everyrhing?

This was a super quick read, but I loved the writing and how complete the story felt for a novella. Nicely done!

Moonlight Mirage by Amy McKinley is a quick but intense read. It starts with Cade and Nadia meeting under the strangest circumstances and fate bringing them together again years later.

Both hold secrets, Nadia having to do with her job and her up upbringing, Cade with who his family is. Even though they have this unexplainable connection, can they get passed the past to make a go of it?

I was interested in this story from page one and for such a short novel, it certainly packed a punch with a major twist! What a read!

Moonlit Kiss is the second book in the Moonlit Destination series. It can be read as a standalone.
I loved the paranormal aspects of this book and the connections to past and present. There was an air of mystery about the book, but not in the traditional sense. It was definitely an intriguing read. I also enjoyed the fact that despite their immediate connection, the interaction between the two main characters didn’t feel like insta-love. I liked the overall feel of this book in a way that I can’t quite put into words.

Being a die-hard SOA fan, I had to read this one. Sophie went through an immense struggle. Going from leading an independent life to having it shattered in one day and having to learn to be independent all over again takes so much. Who could blame her for having a pity party? The shock of Horse kicking down her front door after he hears her crash trying to get to the front door would be a huge shocker too. I don’t know about anyone else but sexy MC don’t come kicking my door in. I had thought maybe Horse and Sophie were going to hook up but the story comes with a few twists you never quite see coming. Horse gets her to Arizona in the good old USA to hide out with Satan’s Devil’s. He leaves to go do the jobs painting motorcycles that he his hired to do. Wraith, another sexy MC, ends up falling for her and taking her under his wing. The whole club protects her when they see the video of what happened. Those that don’t end up ant food. With the help of Peg, she gains confidence to be independent without the wheelchair. She also begins to fit in with the MC, which surprises all. The characters felt so realistic. You felt the emotions with the characters in the story. If someone died, you felt it., etc. Best MC book series I’ve read.

Xander is a Navy seal and is the brother of Jaxon (Book 2) and Tyler (Book 3). Xander gets hurt and ends up in the hospital. He meets Riley and together the go through an ex, finishing school, danger and more. I truly enjoy the story it great!! I’m so glad I read it.

Amy McKinley has a way with her words. Her story gives you a clear picture of the events. While reading the adventure to Venice, you will find her story has ended. Her characters are people I’d love to meet. While the women are independent and strong, the male character is steamy and good looking. So take the story, add a vacation, learn some history and read a suspenseful romance take form. What more could you ask for in a story? Well Done Amy McKinley! Well Done!

Well, well, well! If you like to be teased, with pleasure, this is a great listen! Deliciously Sinful Liaisons is a grouping of  Mountford’s books that includes a handful of chapters, from 7 of his steamy romance books. I enjoyed the narrator’s voice and it made for an easy and sensual listen. The stories ranged from vampire lust to “the babysitter” to mafia alluring seductiveness. Listening to this book will give you great characters, twisted story lines, wrapped in delicious sensations of sexiness. There truly are not enough synonyms to use for this fascinating read. I have never read one of his books before, but now that he has left me hot and bothered, I am a hooked reader.

This was a very sweet story about a bird that is trying to help save all of the bird species from extinction. This book gives children some perspective on the need to save our planet for future generations and keep our animal populations alive at all costs. Mornin begins his journey when he comes across statues of birds that no longer exist and the possibility of his own species becoming extinct becomes very real for him. With the help of his friends and family he is able to bring awareness to the situation and get his word out. This is a great read for young children.

Surprised would be an understatement! I elected to pick this novel up mainly for the steamy synopsis, and the want to get down and dirty with my next read, and, seemed like the premise would make for an easy read. I was right about one of those things. This book is full of steamy, surprising encounters, which truly does keep you on your toes, and leave you wanting to know more about each of the brothers. Of course, Mr. Fox piqued my interest, given his personality, the way he showed how much he cared for Vanessa, and her brother Piper, and his overall wanton to help. Grey keeps you quite intrigued, as he pulls the mysterious card, and plays that quite well. You can tell he also has a big heart, but due to his problem with excess, he keeps that hidden behind locked walls. This first book in Her Three Immortals series really got me out of my comfort zone in the way of genre’s, and I am very excited to start her second novel in the series. I can’t imagine what kind of hell Vanessa will bring to, well, Hell! Amazing job, Hazel Storm, well done. Highly recommend!

Motherland is the third book in the Tom Grant series by Samantha Adair . It’s a fast paced story packed with action and, suspense. The twists and turns will have you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what is going to happen next. This is a new author to me but im definitely going to check out what other books she has written. There are a couple of pretty intense moments that I cat I had wanted to help them . Isabella made a promise to her father on his death bed and she’s very determined to carryout that promise. Isabella and Tom have been faced with decisions that could put them in danger. Are there other forces working against them? Can she get done what she’s set out to do? Find out what happens next in this must read. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

With a story that will keep you on your toes at every step, the details to the story are sublime and make it so you can picture the scene so clearly in your mind. Carnival of Shadows by Leslie Scott a fairground read of a four-star read. This is number two in the Black Water Magic series, and I hadn’t realised before I started this one and I didn’t feel like I missed anything, you took off running and got straight in. Teagan wasn’t someone I warmed to so much, but as the story progressed, I started to really like her, and get to know her better. It’s a very good paranormal story and I have really enjoyed this story. There are lots of elements to this story that get pulled together, and they all pull together to create a good story, there were just a couple of small elements that made me wonder.

From the very first page I was swept away by everything that was Moonlit Kiss by Amy McKinley. The story was captivating and a feeling enhancing marvel. With an original storyline, beguiling characters, mysterious magic and a fairy tale love, Moonlit Kiss was breathtaking. The intimacy Gianna and Sergio shared gave me shivers. Their beginning, middle and ending was so beautifully written, it was like being given a great gift. These types of stories are always so masterfully thought out and presented, and only the elite storytellers can capture an audience to the point of oblivion. Amy McKinley has it going on!!!!!
A hard to put down, easy to escape into romance that will render you speechless and leave you with powerful memories. 5 stars.

Tangled Roots: Witches of Willow Creek is the first book in the Tangled Magic series by Denise D. Young. This is a great paranormal romance with a small town setting, time travel, witches, magic, danger, adventure, drama, agendas, and much more.
I have come into this series a bit backwards, having started on book #2 first, but each story could be read as a standalone, with out feeling lost or like you are ‘missing’ anything. Having said that, I am glad that I went back to read this first book- as it really does set the series off to a great start.
Cassie Gearhart wakes up in 2019- what happened to the last 45 years? She is determined to find out what happened in the ‘missing’ time. Her coven is gone- and the only potential help she can find doesn’t want anything to do with witchcraft and magic. What will happen- especially with danger approaching? What ensues makes for a fantastic story about a witch lost in time.
Can’t wait to continue the series.

Competing With the Star is the second book in the Star series by Krysten Lindsay Hager. It follows on from the first book, Next Door to a Star- so I recommend reading that book before starting on this one. It will give you all the background information, character introductions, and other important information which will enhance your reading experience of this book.
Something Ms. Hager does well is write from a teenage perspective- delving into all the issues, drama, and angst that plague our teenage years. But her story is also full of emotion, young love, heartache, jealousy, betrayal, assumptions, insecurities, rumours, and friendship- giving us a window into high school life.
Hadley Daniels ‘perfect’ life is about to get a bit of a shake-up…. Life in Grand Haven seemed to be the answer to all her prayers- so what could possibly go wrong? Dive in to find out.
