Protecting His Heart: a Lawson Family Novel (Lawson Family Series Book 2) by
Tracey Cramer-Kelly. Once again this author wrote a story that me completely hooked. From page one I knew I’d love Ian and Rachel’s story. Each having their own troubles to face. These characters were so easy to feel connected to. The writing is smooth and well paced never feeling rushed or lacking. This story is one that hits a bit close to home and my heart so that helped. This book was just as amazing as book one, and honestly maybe my favorite but don’t tell book one! If you’re looking for a story that pulls you in from the get go go get this one! Five stars all the way.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Darcy’s Caution (Pride & Prejudice & Racecars Book 3) by Zoe Burton. I’m simply loving these stories and this authors writing. This one is probably my favorite. The characters are complex and relatable. Will and Liz just draw you into their world and when it’s all said and done you probably won’t want to leave. There’s definitely times I found myself trying to read faster to know what happened next and read slower because I didn’t want it to end. But all great things come to an end and this was a great story. It’s mix of suspense, racing and romance are perfectly done by the author. I’m excited to see where the author takes readers next. Five stars and highly recommend!

Virtue & Vice (Spicetopia Book 2) By Phoebe Alexander. This author always seems to leave me in an awed state of wonder. While I can definitely say she knows how to write a steamy story she also knows how to give you so many layers to the storyline. I recommend reading these in order trust me they are both equally worth it. All of the characters pulled me right into their world and honestly I didn’t want to leave. Tangles By Sharleen Scott. I knew going into this story that it’d be a bit different from previous ones I’ve read by this author. And I honestly liked it just as much if not a bit more because parts hit closer to my heart. This story was definitely an emotional story and left me feeling a bit raw. Now let me say that the first two books made me fall for every single character in this series, I was a little worried on how I’d feel about this one not being focused on the previous main characters. But I honestly worried for no reason. This author does a wonderful job of writing a story that very much involves all the characters. I highly recommend reading these in order. Jasmine is one of my favorite female characters this year, she come back to herself from the unthinkable. And we could all use a little Angel in our life. These two had me captured in their world. I love the multi POV it makes the story fuller. I’m so excited to read the next one. Well written and paced nicely, with incredible characters. Five stars all the way!

Shattered (Shattered Hearts Series Book 1) By Nicole Banks. This book is so aptly named because I definitely felt shattered while reading this story. I’m such a huge fan of stories that have the main characters going through hard to speak about subjects. But the author does a wonderful job of writing about subjects that can be haunting. This book may have triggers but it’s also a beautiful story of second chances and coming back from the worst circumstances. It’s told in multiple points of view which I love because I think it gives a fuller picture of what’s happening. Jasmine and Angel have a connection that I still fill even after finishing the last page. I can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. With characters that I won’t soon forget. Five stars all the way!
