Written in the Stars by T. Birmingham is the second book in the Fallen Eagles MC series.
This boll is as gripping and as consuming as the first. This author seriously knows how to write a novel that will grab your attention and keep you invested in every single detail throughout the whole book.
The whole way through I kept trying to figure out what was happening but the story was so fast paced and full of twists and turns that it kept me on my toes.
This book can be read on its own however I really do recommend reading book 1 first. They are both just so good I think you would be missing out by only reading one of them.

Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortune is the first book in the Hart and Cole series. This book really delves into the complexities that is married life. It highlights that, no matter how much we might want to, sometimes we just can be perfect at everything. Sometimes we need to accept the way things actually are.
This book has introduced me to an entirely new author and what a way to be introduced it was. This book had everything. It had passion and romance as well as angst and nail biting moments. It is a detailed and interesting book. The author never lets the story rest for too long before she is moving it on and developing the characters.
I enjoyed how I didn’t always like one of the main characters as well. For me that is exactly how it can be in “real life” and it was great to see that reflected well in a book. It really helped me to connect with them.
This was a fantastic way to discover a new author and I am looking forward to the rest of this series.

The Shape of Trust by Brinda Berry is the fifth book in the Stand by Me series. This book does not need to be read in order.
This is the first book I read of this series and I can see why people are raving about it. Everything about the book is so well done you just find yourself sinking deeper into the story.
The characters were fantastic to read about. They are complex and interesting and match the story perfectly. The way the author brings them to life is brilliant to see and adds a different level to the book.
I have read other books by this author and this one showed all the same characteristics of her flawless writing. Do yourself a favour and pick up this book today!

Full Glasses and Burju Shoes by Blake Blessing is a book that will have you turning the pages in record time.
This is a new author to me and I wasn’t sure what to expect at all when I read the description. The book sounded good and like something I would enjoy. And I have to say I did really enjoy this authors writing style. The hook had an easy flow about it and the story effortlessly progressed.
I also really liked how the characters were opposites in most ways. Everything about them suggested they shouldn’t work together and yet they did. I liked how convincing their story was. The whole story was easy to read and enjoyable. One I would definitely recommend trying.

Shadows Keep by Meghan O’Flynn is an exciting and fast paced novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire way through!
Having read books by Meghan O’Flynn before I knew I was in for a seriously good ride anyway. And the blurb to this book sounded better, in my opinion, than any of her others and it absolutely did not disappoint.
More than once I found myself sitting there with my heart pounding, hanging off the edge of my seat, hardly daring to read what would happen next. There was never a moment you could be bored with this book. It takes you on such a rollercoaster ride. The twists and turns will leave you gasping for breath. This book is well written with in depth and complex characters. For anyone that likes this type of book Shadow’s Keep is an absolute yay read.

The Lies We Tell by Brittany Butler is a book that explores what happens when the lies we tell catch up to us and how the past can effect our future.
Overall for me this was an enjoyable read, although there were times I felt slightly disappointed. For me the blurb built this book up to be so much and I don’t think the story quite lived up to the expectation I set.
However the story was good and well paced and the characters were well thought through. And while it was quite what I expected I enjoyed the story and found myself become invested in it. This is certainly an author I will read again in the future.

  • The Way You Are by Sylvie Stewart is the fifth book in the Carolina Connections series. This book can be read as a stand-alone even though characters from the previous books do pop up here and there.
    For me this was the first book I have read in this series and I am now questioning why. This book is brilliant. It kept me thoroughly entertained throughout. I was laughing my way through at these characters. And I think part of that was because of how relatable I found them to be. Not only was it easy to imagine these characters and their troubles but it was easy to imagine yourself in their position, experiencing exactly what they were going through.
    The author really pulls you into the story and helps you to become a full part of it: I cannot recommend this book highly enough and I am going straight back to start again at book 1!View all my reviews

Awakening of a Soul Keeper by Brienne Dubh is a Prequel in the Soul Keeper series. This book is a brilliant introduction to what I feel will be an amazing series.
The whole story I found to be unique. Although it contained elements of fantasy that is, on its own, quite common, the way the author combined these elements brings to life a uniquely interesting story. There were times I really felt sorry for Theodora. Not only was she thrust into this entirely unfamiliar world but her familiar, safe world was being compromised because of it. And yet how she dealt with everything bring thrown at her was great to read about.
I really felt like we were taken along on a journey through this book and it has left me excited to see what might be next for this series.

The Memory of Us by Lisa Sorbe is a second chance romance that has a bit of everything you could want.
This is an author I have recently become familiar with and have so far enjoyed her work, this book been no exception. The main characters are an instant hook for this story and writing style effortlessly develops. The hook has a great pace to it, always keeping you interested but also knowing when to give the detail of the story.
I do enjoy a good second chance romance and this one certainly hit all the right spots. Well written and engaging I would recommend this hook to anyone.

A Terrible Beauty by T. Birmingham is the first book in the Fallen Eagles MC series. This book is not a lighthearted book and the warnings are fairly accurate. However this book is also entirely worth the dark path it takes you down.
This story is designed to utterly suck you body and soul into this story. You can clearly see the vivid pictures the author paints with their words. Kit is haunted by the work she once loved, the country she used to serve. And when that past comes face to face with her present it will be a fight not to get dragged down with it.
This is a new author for me and I was blown away by how easily this story draws you in. Although it is a shorter story you cannot tell. Kit is so haunted by everything that has happened that is has completely changed. You can feel her pain and emotions from this but you can also feel Lee’s pain in him trying o help her get back to the person she once was. This was a brilliant book and one that I can not recommend enough. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

Wish Upon A Bollywood Star by Pamela Q. Fernandes is an entertaining and fun read that all be sure to get you laughing.
This is a new author to me and I am so glad I have now discovered her writing. The characters in this book were brilliant. They were funny to read about, their antics hilarious and their chemistry was palpable.
I found this to be a quick and easy read because it was so easy to get into the story and invested in the characters. Now that I have discovered her work I can’t wait to read more by this author.

This author is one I am growing to love with every book I read. I cannot recommend this author enough!

For me this has been the best book of the series so far. It was interesting – full of secrets and intrigue. The author captured your attention effortlessly and immediately and keeps you immersed in the story all the way through.
I love how she develops her characters and the story, in both this book and the series. This is a brilliant series and one I would truly recommend.

The Progeny Assassin: A Tarnished Lands story by P.A. Wikoff is the second book in the Forgotten Lands series. This book can be read separate to the first although in my opinion you will be missing out.
It had been a while since I have read book 1 and I loved jumping back into the Tarnished Lands world. This author has a way of painting a picture so that it is so easy to imagine the characters and what is happening.
This particular book is fast paced and intense. It feels like you are taken on a wild journey, right alongside Lara. It is adventurous and exciting and an all round enjoyable read.
I would definitely recommend not just this book and series but also this author.

For me this whole book was about the characters. I could feel the chemistry between them from their first meeting and felt it throughout the book.
The author knows how to develop the story and keeps you hooked from the start. I loved the first book but this book was easily even better than the first. Although you do not need to read the first book I would highly recommend you do as it is a great series to read. I can’t wait to see what else is to come.

For The Love of Laura Beth by Aubrey Wynne is the fourth book in the A Chicago Christmas series. This book is highly emotional and do everything it can to tug at your heat strings.
Marriage is hard enough for anyone to navigate. But for Laura Beth and her husband Joe they have to overcome so much that at times it seems utterly impossible. But they haven’t given up fighting yet for the love that once seemed so strong. Will they be able to come out the other side of it?
You cannot help but root for these two. They seem to have gone through so much that you want good things to happen for them. The journey they go on throughout this book is heart breaking but also heartwarming. You can see how much they love each other and you can see how hard they work to make things right.
I always enjoy this authors writing style but this book definitely caught my attention more than any previous. This is a book well worth reading.

This book is a great rockstar romance. It has everything you could want – best friends, lovers, angst. I love the fact that the author knew enough about these characters to see their story couldn’t be told in just one book. It ensures that nothing about this story felt rushed. It was paced it well with great flow.
And the characters are such interesting ones to read about. Izzy and Dawson honestly left my head spinning.
I absolutely cannot wait to see what cook two holds in store for them.

Leaving Jackson Wolf by P.A. Kane is a brilliant coming of age novel. This if the first book I have read by this author and I am blown away by how amazing it was. It is a unique story of two young boys, friends to only each other, on the outskirts of the teenage society. This novel really explores what their life is like and true troubles they have to face in a daily basis.
Everything about this book is the two characters. It is entirely their story being told. The author really goes into them in great depth, without really any distractions from the story or other characters.
He really knows how to grab your attention as well. The blurb is purposely vague and doesn’t really give away what to expect. It does nothing to prepare you for how deeply you will get sucked into this novel. A brilliant story, one I will be thinking about for a long time.

Souls Collide by Kristina Beck is the third book in the Collide series. This book utterly blew me away from start to finish. Alexa and Kent are simply just wow. The way they worked together is incredible. You can feel the connection between the two of them; you can feel the conflict they feel and how that progresses into so much more.
This book is full of suspense and it will keep you on the edge of your seat right through to the very end.
I also have to point out the cover on this book and how incredible it looks. It is eye catching and pulls you in before you even read a single word. It fits the book to a tee and has to be one of my favourite covers of all.
Everything about this book is amazing. Do yourself a favour and start reading today!

Forgetting Ophelia : A Novel by Julie C. Gardner is a story that highlights how everything is not always as it seems, even to those who think everything is perfect.
This is an entirely new author to me and I was sucked in straight away with how well the story seemed to flow. The story development felt natural and easy and the characters all had a great depth to them.
I expected that this book would have a lot of emotional aspects however I didn’t expect to feel quite as emotional as I did. I really felt like you connected with Lia in this story, and the more you read the more invested in her future you become.
I thought this book was a great introduction to this author and has certainly whet my appetite for more of her work.

Surviving Eden by Virginia Wine is the first book in the Surviving series. This book is one that centres around a taboo subject so might not be for everyone. However this book is definitely worth reading if you give it a go.
I was unsure as to how I would feel about this bill at first but when I got into I enjoyed the story. Although it is based around an older man/younger woman romance to me it almost had the same feel as a best friends sibling type story – forbidden fruit that you just can’t help but sample.
The author writes so well that you are drawn into the story gently and she quietly gets you hooked. Having read other books by this author I knew this would be enjoyable but I was surprised by just how much I liked it. It is a well developed plot with well developed characters. I would definitely recommend giving this book a try.

When a debtor drops dead at her feet Karina quickly becomes a person of interest. In a bid to help herself she begins her own investigation. But can she work out who is responsible before she is blamed?
This book is just as good as the first. It is well written and captivated you immediately. It is faced paced and will keep you on the edge of your seat. As much as o tries to guess who was responsible the author did such a good job at misdirection that I never could figure it out. A brilliant book.

The Confectioners Truth by Claire Luana is the third book in the Confectioner Chronicles. This book is the epic conclusion to an amazing series. I would highly recommend reading these in order as they won’t make much sense if you don’t.
Wren and her allies are on the run and facing a new a greater enemy. Will they be able to triumph?
This series has honestly got better and better with each book. I could never wait to see what would happen next. I loved jumping back into Wren’s adventure with each new story in the series.
As always with this author the book was well written and utterly captivating. The way she draws you in and keeps you engaged so effortlessly through the whole series is addictive. Whenever I pick up a book of hers I know to set aside a chunk of time as I won’t be able to put it down. I cannot recommend this book and series enough.

Snatching Dianna by Seelie Kay is the first book in the Fiesty Lawyers series. This is a fast paced and intriguing tale of a young girl who may have been taken as part of a Slavs trafficking cartel and one law professors race against time to try and save her/m.
This is an entirely new author for me and I found her writing style to be gripping. I wasn’t overly sure from the blurb that I would be able to get into this book however I found myself hooked quickly.
The author easily juggles the dark side of this book with the fun and entertaining side she brings to it.
From what I can gather you are introduced to these characters in a different story however I never felt like I was missing out from having not read it. A great book I thoroughly enjoyed.

The Moon in Her Eyes: A Witches Tale by Nikki Broadwell is a unique and interesting story of a witch whole travels through time and the consequences she faces from doing so.
This book is part of a series although the books do not have to be read in order. But it is a bit unclear from the titles that this is the case.
This book is absolutely incredible. I knew from the description that I would be taken on such a journey but I could not have imagined just what that journey would consist of. The story was rich and detailed, making it so easy to envisage what was happening. The characters were creative and relatable, which is impressive when the author is writing about a witch from the 1600’s!!
This author thoroughly grabs your attention and holds you captive all the way through the book. She sets the pace well and develops the story with ease. This is a brilliant book and one I would highly recommend.

    Hadley and Theo are probably two of my favourite characters that I have read about recently. I really found myself just getting lost in their story – Theo the disgraced reality star as Hadley with the budding show biz career.
    The whole premise of the story was fun and engaging. I couldn’t wait to see what happened to them when they starred in the show together.

Claiming Her Mates by Dia Cole is the first book in the paranormal shifter series. This book is a hot and steamy tale of Havana and her three protectors.
This book is a very strange mix of paranormal and yet somehow it works. Shifters and zombies is not something I have seen together before, probably die a good reason, and get this author has created a story that combines these elements in a way that is believable.
At times I felt the story could have used a bit more detail to it however it was exiting and an intriguing read. I am interested to see how the rest of this series develops.

A Frothy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is the fourth book in her Christmas Kiss series. This book can be read as a stand-alone although the whole series is a fun and entertaining series that is well worth a read.
As with the others this book is a great easy read that you can easily lose yourself in for a few hours. It is fun and lighthearted but still had you engaging with the characters, Kat and Dan. I really liked Kats character. I found her down to earth and relatable.
This whole series has been great to read, enjoyable, entertaining and amusing. I would definitely recommend reading this series.
