Curse of Seduction (Dark Princes of Purgatory Book 1) by CR Robertson – Review by Kerry Carr

Curse of SeductionCurse of Seduction by C.R. Robertson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book. Its a great love story that has elements of war and supernatural beings which i love.

Ezekiel is an incubus (sex demon) his main way of feeding is through sex, however when Ezekiel and the other 3 princes are cursed by Ophelia this simple act turned into something dangerous as everytime he fed off a woman Ophelia would take something from that woman leaving them just a shell.

Because of this Ezekiel refused to feed. The war is ranging between Ophelia and all the demon realms as she trys to take over them using power.
Ezekiel sees no hope until Ilana came into his life.

Ilana has grown up thinking she was half vampire, half human however that proves to be a lie when she starts to show that she has magical powers. With her increasing magical powers and her love and attraction to Ezekiel could she be the one to break the spell on the 4 dark princes and finally defeat Ophelia? Or will she end up just a shell of the woman she was.

Irresistible Weddings (Irresistible Romance Book 4) Anthology – Review by Kerry Carr

IRRESISTIBLE WEDDINGS (Irresistible Romance Book 4)IRRESISTIBLE WEDDINGS by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a lovely collection of romance storys that shows no matter what you face love will always win.

One of my favourites is Two Hearts Alliance by Tamara Ferguson. This is a lovely story and proves that if love is meant to be it will find a way.

Jeremy Northup and Captain Christine Cameron meet for the first time when she was assigned to help him train troops for Iraq. Even though there was a spark nothing happened as Christine was married.

The next time they meet Christine is now divorced but when the mission they are on goes wrong and Jeremy gets injured he is sent how to recover while Christine stays behind.

Over this time they became good friends and when they meet up again at a friends wedding they talk about a marriage alliance.

With Christines ex husband causing her problems and Jeremys well meaning friends trying to set him up with every woman breathing this seems like a good option. Both go into this not realising that its not just for convience but that their feelings for each other are true and strong, the problem is will they realise this before its too late or will some figure in the darkness succeed in pulling them apart.

Wow this book is such a roller coaster of emotions I couldn’t keep up. It is a heartbreaking story with regards to the abuse they suffer at the hands of Shawn (dad/stepdad) but the feelings and emotion between Bailey and Cooper brings you back to a place of love and happiness despite everything.

Bailey lives with her mum after her dad left them and her brother died in a car accident. Her life gets turned upside down though when her mum marries Shawn and introduces 2 stepbrothers into her life.

Cooper seems to hate her. He is always tormenting her and causing her harm but things aren’t what they seem.

Copper and Bailey are attracted to each other. Their feelings are so strong they have to fight to overcome them. With Shawn being a violent bully who beats them both for ever speaking to each other there is no way they can act on their feelings.

Through all the highs and lows in this story can they defeat everything and be together or will they be forced to live a lie and continue to receive the beatings whenever their dad/stepdad thinks they are needed.

However she can’t voice this to her colleagues as magic and being able to do magic is unheard of by normal humans.

But Ezri isn’t a normal human. She is a witch and the last in the bloodline of Harrow witches. Not only does she have to deal with her job, she also has the pressure of knowing that she is the saviour who needs to defeat the dark magic that is rising.

Add all this stress her need to find out the truth of what happened and why her mum was murdered and this story is gripping and compelling.

Can she stay strong enough to find out who is committing these murders? Can she defeat the dark forces? And who can she trust? Her magical family who deceived her over her mother’s death or her police family who don’t know her secrets.
