Love’s Reverie by K.G. Fletcher is the second book in The Stardust Duet and one I have been waiting for. I fell in love with the first book and this one did not disappoint. It is a fantasy romance. This duet is about time travelling and romance which is a little different than what we usually see KG write but it is a wonderful heart felt story. KG’s narrative makes it so easy to get lost in the story and imagine what she sees when she puts her words to the page to make the story come to life. I can actually see this epic tale being made in to a movie or series, that’s how good it is. I enjoyed that the story was woven between two timelines and told in dual POV’s giving it that little bit extra something. This delightful duet should not be missed out on.

Love’s Reverie: A Time Travel Romance by KG Fletcher is the second book in the Stardust Duet.you definitely have to read these books in order.
For me this book was even better than the first. I was pulled straight back into Kat and Phillip’s strange but compelling journey. It was fascinating to watch them navigate the different times as they did. Their love story was so heartwarming to watch develop across the Duet.
This author always knows how to create such an effortless romance and this series has been just that. I have loved every moment of reading it and I am already planning to go back and read it again. I would highly recommend this series, and anything this author has written.

This is book two in this series by this amazing author. I loved the first book so much I hated when it was over so to say I was beyond excited to get my hands on this book is an understatement. And once again, I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! In fact, I thought I loved the first book and that it couldn’t get any better but gosh was I wrong. I love how these stories take you on a journey into another place and time through her storytelling as well as her music. These characters are amazing, even though there are a couple that are somewhat annoying, but she has such an inspiring way of writing their stories that you root for the annoying ones just as much. I highly recommend that you pick up a copy of this book. You won’t be disappointed.

The second book picks up where the first one left off. Phillip and Kat are reunited after he figures out how to get back to her. As they are trying to figure out what their future looks like, Phillip decides that he wants to give Kat his mother’s ring. When he realizes that it has been lost in the years since he left, he knows what he has to do. What he wasn’t expecting was a jilted ex-boyfriend to follow and wreak havoc on his return plans. As Kat deals with a missing Phillip, she discovers that there will need to be compromises made in order for them to remain together. Can Phillip make it back? Or will their love be lost forever in time?

K.G. Fletcher paints a fantastic picture of love and sacrifice in this conclusion of Phillip and Kat’s story. She does a wonderful job of walking the reader through the character’s thoughts and how they reason through all of their decisions.

Love's Reverie (The Stardust Duet, #2)Love’s Reverie by K.G. Fletcher

This series, yet alone this book, really plays at my heart strings, the story is unlike any other I really have dived into, and I am let with a melody in my heart that keeps on playing even after the final word that lays to rest on the final page. This sequel was amazing, and gave me all the feels the prior gave to me!

I read the first in the series and loved it with all the passion and longing for people to have true love in my heart and soul. This one was as amazing as the prior book installment. I love the time travel part of this story, and how the story plot is about going against all odds to have that true love that many of us only dream about, and often at times, never find it within reach! The series is mesmerizing, and addictive, and yet the emotional impact the reader feels is undeniable! You truly connect with the characters!

This one concluded the great love story between Kat and Phillip. Reading through this one, there was never any question of the love they have and feel for one another, but the question that surfaced my mind was that is going against all odds to be with this one specific person really your destiny? I found that mainly Phillip had to answer this question, and the impact decisions that we make and how they affect us was greatly assessed through out reading. My heart was all over the place when reading, I felt so much, and emotionally invested, all in all, beautiful book and it is for sure a must read, amazing book!

My heart feels full after getting the true ending for this beautiful series, and that Phillips’s and Katherine’s story was told, and will be told over again many times as readers read this series. This is a gifted author, and not one to pass up. Highly recommend this book as well as the prior in the series!

This is the second book in this series which is just as great as the first one if not better. This is an author I never hesitate to pick up and have enjoyed from the first book I have picked up by her. Her books are well written and pull you into the story from the beginning. I highly suggest reading the first book as well to help you enhance your enjoyment of this series. The characters are not only relatable but kept the story engaging to the end. They bring the story to life on each page and they just truly made the story for me. We get to see the conclusion of Kat and Phillips’ relationship. Their chemistry is great and they have a bond that is unbreakable. This is a time travel romance story that I had a hard time putting down. What will happen to these two, you will have to read this conclusion to find out. They are great characters and have great growth throughout the story. I also enjoyed the growth of the story that kept me turning pages to the end. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Love's Reverie (The Stardust Duet, #2)Love’s Reverie by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love’s Reverie by K.G. Fletcher continues along as one of my favorites for 2021 (which book 1, Love’s Refrain is). This is the the continuation of Phil and Kat’s story. These two have been through it all just to be together. I was sucked in again from the beginning because I am a huge, huge fan of this couple. Watching them struggle with how to explain Phil to helping him adjust to the 21st century to popping Spencer in the nose (twice, yay Phil!), the adventures abound. The author does a fantastic job of tying everything together so that it runs smoothly from one time to the other. The characters, again, are so well-developed that their personalities all blend. Even Spencer, who is still a jerk, can’t take no for an answer and gets what he deserves. Her besties, Sasha, plays a larger role in this book and it is heartwarming to see. This book will leave you in happy tears. I can’t say enough. I would give it 10 stars if I could. You have to pick up the series and read this. You won’t be disappointed. I promise! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Love's Refrain (The Stardust Duet, #1)Love’s Refrain by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In Love’s Refrain, our main character Katherine is achieving her goal of going on tour with her musical group and returns home for two weekends of shows. A story of love, time, and hard work follows in Love Refrains and while I was at first uncomfortable with the time travel aspect because the main love interest is technically in love with Katherine when she is born, I quickly overcame this as he spends his time actively avoiding her and the family while she is growing up. The inclusion of the song they create together is touching and a wonderful moment for them both to have while they are not together. K.G. Fletcher’s writing style is very sweet and romantic as well as fitting for the scenes portrayed in the story. You can feel the sweeping lights on the stage and the glittering jewels of the performers shining in the spotlight. Absolutely cannot wait for the continuation, hopefully, of the story.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am a big fan of KG Fletcher, so I did not even read the description to this book before I started reading it. At first I was a little confused as to what was happening, and thrown off. Most of her books are a love story through and through, and this didn’t have that feel in the beginning. That soon changed, and it was a cute story! Both Kat and Phillip’s characters are loveable. Fletcher did a good job describing the 1940s, allowing me to envision the era- the way he dressed, the emergence of movies, the cars, etc. Time travel always throws me off, and confuses me. This book was well written though, and it while it jumped back and forth, it was clear which era we were reading about. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series, and am so glad the release dates are only a month or two apart, not years! Overall a very sweet romance story (with one steamy chapter), and anxiously awaiting Love’s Reverie.

Love's Refrain (The Stardust Duet, #1)Love’s Refrain by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I LOVE a good time travel novel. It has been a while since I picked one up because the last series that I read was excellent, and I was worried that any other ones wouldn’t measure up. LET ME TELL YOU HOW WRONG I WAS. I loved everything about this story. We meet Kat Monroe, who is a jazz singer in the present day. When she goes back to her hometown to perform during her tour, she sees a photograph on the wall of her dressing room from 1947 of a man that completely captures her attention and her heart at one glance. Why is he so familiar? Meet Philip. Heartthrob from the photograph and the one who has her full attention so many years in the future. After meeting him in the present day and receiving a locket with a mysterious note inside, she finds the portal and is transported to the past, where she meets him yet again – as the handsome man from the photograph. When she returns, she is left with missing pieces as to what happened in their past. Her ex-boyfriend and current piano accompanist, Spencer, is jealous, stubborn, and downright cringe. Will he let her move on so that she can fix the past and change the future? KG Fletcher did a fantastic job creating the characters, ensuring the dialogue fit the right era, and adding the correct music for the period. It felt natural and transported me to 1947 Georgia and back again with the right combination of words. I am looking forward to reading the next installment of this series and will be looking for more from this author in the future. If you love a romantic time travel novel without the same boring, repetitive storylines, pick this up and don’t put it down until you’re finished! You won’t regret it!

Love’s Refrain: A Time Travel Romance is the first book in The Stardust Duet series by K.G. Fletcher.

I am already a fan of this author and was not disappointed with this book.
This truly is a love story. When reading the description I was a little apprehensive with regards to the time travel aspect, but I ended up loving this part. It added so much depth to both the story and the characters. I enjoyed both the past and present-day parts of the story, but I found myself especially looking forward to the parts where we were transported back to 1947.

This story was magical and I was hooked from the start. It’s the type of story that you find yourself thinking about even when you’re not reading it. The descriptive writing style is fantastic, I love it when the author takes time to set the scene so I can immerse myself properly in the story, and that is definitely the case here.

If you love Nicholas sparks you are not going to want to miss this. Set in Whitley, Georgia the descriptions of the town scream out southern sweet romance. It may have been the October air here in my own hometown but I just snuggled up with a blanket and my kindle and time-traveled to and from present-day and 1947 and I didn’t want to come back to 2021. Katherine and Philip were destined to be together and nothing was going to stop them. The book alone is an incredible read and I already have the 2nd book in my Amazon cart just waiting to buy it the day it comes out! First of all, the author immediate reels me in with the premise, recalling a beloved classic and its epic soundtrack “Somewhere in Time”. Sometimes you leave a book or movie that is based off something well known and cherished feeling a little let down. KG Fletcher DID NOT disappoint. Kat and Phillip – oh my word I love them. This book is haunting and beautiful and plays like a beautiful melody in my mind. I don’t know that my heart will survive the wait for the end of this duet. A beautiful love that even time can’t come between. My heart was breaking for Phillip through so much of this story, knowing just how many years he waited and searched for the love of his life. When he finally reconnected with Katherine, the magic between them was electric, even with the passage of so much time. This was my first time reading a story about time travel and this was written so beautifully that I found myself invested from the very first page. “No one could ever comprehend the love Kat and Phillip shared. Theirs was a love that crossed a chasm of time and space into the future. And it was in that future their song would never die.”
I think that quote sums up a lot about this book.
I had a hard time getting into Loves Refrain at first but I’m so glad I was able to persevere because after the first couple chapters I was hooked. Although I did find the “modern” storyline to be a bit off putting. I’m not sure if it was because of Kat and the older Phillip or the outrageous, jealous, mess that was Spencer. I really did love the story line of Kat and Phillip once she went back in time. Their love was so strong they were able to overcome the obstacles of time and find a way to be together. Overall this is a lovely, light, romantic read that I enjoyed. I will definitely be picking up book number two when it’s released to see where the author takes these two.

This is a beautifully written tale of a love story through time. Katherine is a great character, a strong woman and musician who follows the beat of her own drummer. When she suddenly falls back through time to meet Phillip, the attraction they feel is instant and consuming. But how can they be together when they live decades apart? Kat and Phillip are wonderfully drawn characters, and their story is mesmerizing. The book is easy to follow and enjoyable to read. In the first part of the book, I found there were sections that were a bit slow for me, but once I got into it, I read it straight through til the end. I will be looking out for book 2!

This book is absolutely amazing. I was swept away to a timeless feel of love story romance that made me want to watch all my favorite old movies again when this book was done. It just exudes that nostalgia and that is just the world building and the character presence yall. The love story will blow your mind. These two, Phillip and Kat, will make you want to be them, or find a love like theirs or hope your love is like theirs. Love’s Refrain (The Stardust Duet #1) by KG Fletcher – review by Erin Clemence

Love's Refrain (The Stardust Duet, #1)Love’s Refrain by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Katherine “Kat” Moore is a jazz singer and performer, returning to her home town in Georgia for the last lag of her tour. Backstage, she meets octogenarian Philip Gordon, who hands her a locket that he claims belongs to her with a message, urging Kat to “come back” to him. Confused, Kat tries to find meaning in the locket, brushing it off as the actions of a confused old man. But when she discovers a strange portal in the theatre, Kat soon winds up in 1947, and meets the young and handsome Philip Gordon face-to-face. Kat and Philip fall in love and desperately wish to be together but it seems impossible. Kat travels between 1947 and her own time, trying to find a way to be together with the love of her life.

K.G. Fletcher is a musician and author, and her love of music and performing is evident in this novel. Kat and Philip bond over music, connect over lyrics, and fall in love to song. Inspired by songs from different eras, Fletcher creates a musical backdrop to her time traveling romance.

I had a difficult time adapting to Kat’s relationship with elderly Philip. Although it was obviously chaste, the way Katherine described her love for him was off-putting (even though she meant the younger version), and their modern-time connection was fraught with disturbing disbelief. I don’t know what could have changed to allow me to accept Kat and elderly Phillip as a burgeoning couple from the past but the set up was awkward and uncomfortable.

The conversations between the characters was a bit stilted and in a few places it seemed forced, merely contrived to convey some background information that the reader would not otherwise know about. This often put unnecessary breaks in the story flow, dampening my enjoyment.

This is the first novel in a series by K.G. Fletcher, and I can see it garnering popularity with a certain crowd of readers. The romance was hot and heavy in this one, and fans who prefer their reading steamy and romantic will adore “Love’s Refrain”. I can see comparisons being drawn with “Outlander” and even “The Time Traveler’s Wife”, although the ages of the main male characters in those stories were well within a decade of their female love interest.

Fletcher’s creativity with the portal, and the musical component, added a unique flair to the plot. I was annoyed by how often Kat was called “doll face” or “doll” (in 1947) and “honey” and “sweetie” (in modern day), but the excessive condescension was appropriate to the time and situation.

“Love’s Refrain” is a light, romantic read for fans of time travel love stories. Kat and young Philip will immediately charm, and there is no doubt readers will be rooting for them. It will be interesting to see what the second novel in the series holds.

Kat Monroe is forced to choose between 1947 and present day. The love of her life, or an elderly fan she’s grown close to. She fits so well between both worlds, its heart breaking to follow her through her story. Her crazy story of time travel between then and now, who she will love, and where she will be. I loved the way the author draws you into Kat’s world, as well as Phillip’s. You feel everything they go through.
