Hazed by Brittany Butler is book one in the Hazed series. Taylor is on her own for the first time, and she wants to enjoy making mistakes and making her own choices. And then she meets Hayze and her life really begins, her first love and heartbreak. You feel for both the main characters, at times they are hard to connect with, but you want to finish the story and see it through. Hazed is full on drama, firsts and regret.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Dirty Rooster by Kelly Mooney. This is a story that hits a few emotions while your reading it. Preston is a trust fund baby who still helps out at his family’s bar, the Dirty Rooster. He sleeps around and doesn’t form attachments. Summer is the exact opposite, and you know what they say about opposites attracting right… The story line is well written and as the story progresses you are curious how it will end. I didn’t feel the need to finish it right away however I was hooked enough to read it in one sitting.

Vantage Point written by Amy McKinley is a Gray Ghost Novel, book 4. Is you have read the previous stories in the series you are familiar with the characters and parts of the background characters. This is Hawks story and it’s a good one. Hawk is always the quiet one of the group, the watcher, until he gets involved in his neighbors business, and then the story really begins. Stella is entertaining and when her and Hawk are around each other sparks fly. Vantage Point has a little of it all the action, adventure, and chemistry, it’s another great addition to the series.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

WTF, god? Understanding God in the Midst of Transition By Michelle N. Onuorah. I found myself liking this more then I thought I would. It’s an interesting story (memoir) about everything Michelle has been through, her thoughts, fears, every emotional point she reached and how she overcame it or learned to live it. The main focus is on her relationship with God, and sometimes her anger when her life turns out pretty much the opposite of how she thought it would. It’s a unique read and I am glad I read it.

Captivated By The Millionaire (Mills & Boon True Love)Captivated By The Millionaire by Nina Singh
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Captivated by the Millionaire by Nina Singh. This story is a slow build of the relationship between Jess and Jordan. The first two meetings they have are rude, brutally honest and funny. But living in a small town has it’s bad moments when it comes to trying to avoid someone, it’s almost impossible not to run into them. Especially when his sister goes to the center where Jess volunteers. As their relationship grows from strangers to where they can tolerate each other you get a nice mix of he needs slapped with laughing and thinking I can’t believe he/she said that. Overall I enjoyed the story and characters.

The Inheritance by India Kells. This is a unique spin on the Dom/sub relationship. Lani is a strong willed woman who makes the choice to complete takes left by her late uncle in order to obtain a sum of money from his will. Easy right? She figured it would be until Max became the one person she needed in order to succeed, there only one problem, he’s not sure he can do what is asked. The story is strong and erotic and keeps you hooked because you want to know how the story end and who will win between the battle of Wills.

The Protector: Mac is book one in the Cover Six Security Series by Lisa B. Kamps. This was an interesting story the push and pull between Mac and TR is addicting. He wants her so bad but hold himself back, when he can, until he can’t anymore. At least once. This is a drama filled story with plenty to keep you wanting more as the story progresses. Mac is an intense character with a past that give him good reason to be the way he is. TR is a little calmer and helps round him out, when he allows it. But what happens when a threat comes out of both of them, can Mac protect her or will he be too late, again.

Blade's Edge (Satan's Devils MC #10)Blade’s Edge by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Blades Edge written by Manda Mellett is book 10 in the Santa’s Devils MC Series. If you have followed this series you know it does not disappoint. Blades Edge is Blades story and it this a few spots for me he has had a rough upbringing and suffered in ways not many can understand. Then you add in one thing that he doesn’t want, a woman, she needs to trust him, she wants his trust in return. Only one problem, he doesn’t trust women. Ever. His rules are simple, one time only, no kissing and that’s it. No complications, easy right? It was until she came into the picture during a job they are on. But how will his story end…
I loved this story, but I liked them all, Blades story hits a few new scenarios and you want to cry and punch him in the throat a few times throughout the story.

The Slip Series Collection is by Gwyn McNamee. Let me just start by saying these stories are hilarious, they each have their own special incident and they pull you in right away. You will recognize the characters as you go since they are present in the previous stories to some degree. Have you ever had that dream where you are naked in front of a crowd and completely humiliated? Yeah that’s what these three stories are about, that one moment that makes you so embarrassed but you have to move forward. No matter how much your friends, family, and everyone that witnessed it on TV makes fun of you

There Be Demons by M.K. Theodoratus is a great addition to the YA fantasy world. This story focused on Britt who is a 14 yr old normal girl, until she isn’t. Then there’s Gillen who needs to help her in order to help himself and everyone else. The story overall was pretty enjoyable, I found myself following along and not getting bored. The characters were well written, with Britt you are wondering how much she really wants to be the hero and how much she wants to be blissfully ignorant, but you can’t unsee things unfortunately. It was a good read that I think my oldest son will enjoy.

Conner returns home after his mother’s death and decides to come to terms with everything. In order to heal you have to forgive and move on, but can he do that? This story is so cute for what it is and it will make you think once your finished reading it. My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Claimed Royalty by Betty Shreffler is book one in the Crowned and Claimed Series. I am familiar with this author’s writing so I grabbed this book based off of the fact that I have enjoyed everything I have read so far. Claimed Royalty was no exception. I admit I got the book based off of the awesome cover and author so when I opened it and saw the first page was a glossary I wasn’t sure how I would feel. I skipped the glossary and got started and I was not disappointed, this story pulled me in from the beginning. I was surprised by the amount of sexual tension and acts that happened but they were all so well written. I am definitely looking forward to the next book to see what happens next. Fiora is a young princess who just wants love and to be the best queen she can be. Her best friend and lifelong body guard is all the temptation she doesn’t need and then enter in 5 suitors who want her and the crown, things start to get steamy.

Little Do You Know (Bayou Devils MC 5)Little Do You Know by A.M. Myers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Little Do You Know is book five in the Bayou Devil’s MC Series written by A.M. Myers. This one hit me hard with the story. Kady has been through more than anyone. Noah has been locked up for the past 6 years, so he has missed a lot, mostly his soul mate Kady. Once he gets out he won’t stop until he finds her and makes things right, or at least figures out why she never visited and disappeared. This is probably my favorite book of the series as it has the perfect mix of sadness, regret, loss, determination, love and sex. It balances out well and the ending made me want to cry again. I’m looking forward to reading more and seeing where else this series will go.

The Torzial Affair Book 3: Claimed written by Via Mari. I’m sad to see this series end just like I was with The Prestian Series however I am so eager to see what’s next. Jenny and Brian have had a long, stressful start and hopefully everything is finished and they can just relax and be. Reading as Jenny struggles with everything that happened with Ty and because of Ty is hard. You feel for her and how it’s just one thing after another, but Brian and Matt and everyone else who loves her has her back like always. They go above and beyond to help her and ultimately save her. You also see some hints of what could come you just wonder which way the new story will go…

Rules of Engagement by Mika Jolie is book three in the Platonically Complicated Series. This is a cute story with just the right mixture of romance, comedy and sex scenes. The story is told from Lucas’s point of view and you get a front row seat for everything that is going on with his nasty ex wife. I love the relationship between Kate and Lucas, the way they are as friends is fun and relaxed, they are comfortable with each other, they trust each other. Then you add in a small complication that is a blessing in disguise, as they figure out how to make things work, along with if they should act on their hidden desires. Can they take that next big leap? Or will everything end when their fake engagement does….

This story has a bit of it all sadness, loss, mourning mixed with acceptance, love and moving on when you get a second chance. I liked Gibson he was down to earth and realistic in his behavior and reactions. Sacha I both liked and didn’t, I didn’t agree with all of her decisions but I understood her reasoning. Not So Broken is told in alternating point of view through Gibson and Sacha so you get both sides of the story as it’s happening.

While I loved Bria at times I also hated her weakness. And Damien, he takes things to a whole new level with his intensity. But overall I did love the story, it made me feel for them both and what they lost at such a young age and turned into such lost adults. I loved the ending even though me and endings like that also have a love hate relationship.
