First, I just want to say this is one of the most entertaining opening scenes I’ve ever read. I could literally see this scene played out in my head. I like the interaction between Kayla and Tanner. I found myself laughing out loud at their dialogue. Refreshingly real. When the ex (her baby’s daddy) enters the picture, I think every mom can sympathize with her here. Being torn between the fact that they have a kid together vs his reoccurring pattern. Even when logically clear, it gets emotionally blurry. A wonderful story single moms need to read who feel like they don’t have time to date. This was my first book from this author and so glad for this introduction to her writing style! Will be watching for more books from her!

This book is so well written and so easy to fall into. I simply couldn’t put it down. Author Lara Ward Cosio really knows how to turn out an amazing tale. So many emotions go through you as you read this story. I really related with Kayla and the issues she faced. I laughed out loud so much that this tale includes that added bonus of enjoyment and entertainment that is very healing for the soul. I love a book with a strong female lead who proves although men are important in our lives we do not need them to survive and enjoy life. Kayla has it all, a career where she is excelling, a beautiful albeit small apartment, a lovely daughter and great friends. Her daughter’s father is more absent than not from both of their lives and Kayla is ok with that. She has dedicated her life to making her daughter’s life stable and good.
However, an attractive attentive man who has it all, except a woman to share it with, shows up in Kayla’s life and the attraction is instant. Tanner is handsome, dedicated to his work and sister and a family oriented man. He doesn’t have kids of his own but he dotes on his nephews. The vibes and funny antidotes that the author so descriptively uses will make you want more. Even at the end with the HEA I found myself wishing there was more to the story. A charming read that leaves the reader feeling good, No Strings Attached, will leave you wishing for more story even just a side story that includes life for these two people after the HEA.

No Strings Attached is an excellent contemporary romance by Lara Ward Cosio. I have read several books by this author and have to say that this is the one I have enjoyed the most. I really connected with this book from the very beginning and was kept gripped and entertained by the story right up to the very end.
Kayla, a single mum of adorable 4 year old Emmy, has been watching the sexy builder working across the road from her house. Unknown to her, sexy builder Tanner has had he eye on the sexy redhead he sees at the window opposite his construction site. When they have a chance meeting in the local coffee shop, could this be the start of something good?
While pretending that there is more to their friendship to Tanner’s sister and Kayla’s ex, they soon discover that their strings relationship might just be something more.
I really loved the characters of Kayla and Tanner. In addition to the main characters there is a great cast of secondary characters that really add so much to the story, particularly Tanner’s sister and the 3 adorable kids, Emmy (Kayla’s daughter) and Max and Matt (Tanner’s adorable twin nephews). I’m a total sucker for cute kids in a book and these 3 stole my heart.
No Strings Attached is a really enjoyable read and I’d definitely recommend it.

No Strings Attached by Lara Ward Cosio was the first book by Ms WC that I have read and I have to say I loved it from start to finish! Such great characters and a wonderful storyline that had a great mix of fun, laughter and tears.

Single mum Kayla is focused on her beautiful daughter and her management position at work she doesn’t have time for some hot guy to come along and shake things up but that’s exactly what Tanner does when he comes into her life. Nether intend their for “friendship” to be more than something to create mutual satisfaction with no strings attached, it soon becomes apparent though that avoiding those strings isn’t going to be so after all. Throw in an annoying Ex returning and a well meaning little sister and you definitely have some interesting times ahead.

This author never disappoints! I LOVED this story and its characters. It is very relatable on many levels. It has highs and lows and hits all the emotional buttons.

Its hard to pick a favorite character because I enjoy each for different reasons. We read from each of their POV so its easy to feel what they are feeling. I really enjoyed Tanner because of his work ethic but also his helpfulness and love. I liked that the children were written well and antics are within their age brackets.

Overall this is a definite one click. I loved the humor, sense of family, romance and how this has many layers. This author nailed this one!

Two hunks vying for your attention…what a problem to have! Kayla had a seriously hot romance with Rad. It fizzled so that he could continue his journey as a rock star in Europe. Kayla was hurt but survived because the relationship gave her a daughter. Kayla has dedicated her life to her daughter for the last five years. Kayla’s best friend is encouraging Kayla to go out and have a life. Just as Kayla starts to do that, Rad shows back up.

Tanner is crazy busy right now. He is leading a crew on a new building. He is helping his pregnant sister care for her twin boys while her husband is deployed. He is trying to start his own contracting firm so that his brother-in-law comes home to job. He has no time for a relationship or dating despite what his sister thinks. When Tanner catches the woman from the apartment across from the construction site checking him out in the coffee store, he accidentally uses her name to get out of another set up by his sister. Except, now his sister wants to meet her. Will Kayla agree to this scheme? Is it more than it appears?

The chemistry between Kayla and Tanner left scorch marks on my phone! I was hooked from the beginning. There were great moments and then moments I just wanted to smack Rad. Rad’s only redeeming quality is that he figured out how important his daughter is. Great read!

I’m a sucker for a good slow burn romance, and this one had me hooked. With the perfect amount of sweet and saucy, No Strings Attached had me turning page after page. Tanner is what every girl wants to read in a book boyfriend and the banter between him and Kayla was on point with both some sizzle and humour thrown in. I love stand-alone romances that give me that warm happy feeling, would definitely recommend to Romance lovers.

No Strings Attached by Lara Ward Cosio was amazingly sweet and romantic (with a little spice). This is the brain popcorn I would binge while I was single and dreaming, and it sets the standards for my day dreams still!! I absolutely recommend this book if you are a romance fan!!

Following the routine of Kayla, a single mom who wants the best for her little girl, is heart-warming and also a little sad. But after she meets Tanner and banters with him, I could feel myself grinning! Between Rad being… not so Rad and Emmy being Kayla’s focus and Tanner needing to help his sister, I was very unsure of how this story would end. I will for sure be revisiting this book when I need a new day-dream for work!

Lara Ward Cosio created a really well-written romance that is sweet, loving, realistic, but also very steamy, at times. This story is about a woman raising her daughter alone after her ex boyfriend, a rock star, abandons them. It has been many years since Kayla has been with a man or even interested. However, in her daily routine of getting coffee meets a man she nicknames “Buns-of-Steel-guy”. Her obsession with his ass gets her caught, and that same man becomes intrigued with this stranger. Both are extremely busy with life, want more, but for the time being, settled into a “friends with benefits” routine. However, as many know, when you start to catch feelings, that same casualness is hard to maintain. Their journey takes you on a very realistic, romantic love story. I really enjoyed the interaction between the 2 characters and how easily they were able to just pick up on each other’s ways/needs/interactions. It was also really great to read a 1 and done book since it seems all stories today are in multiples.

No Strings Attached by Lara Ward Cosio a very busy but very good five-star read. This was a great romance, and I loved Kayla and Tanner, even if their lives made me feel like I wasn’t doing enough, they both just have so much going on and so many balls in the air threatening to fall. But the main not such a couple, couple aren’t the only great characters in this story, there are others who will sucker you in as well. This is a great story, by a great author and one you need to read.

No Strings Attached is a melt your glasses steamy romance by Lara Ward Cosio. To say this book was a jolt to the sensual senses was a gross understatement. This story left me in a puddle of lust, wonder and fulfilment. It was everything my romantic little heart could ever desire. From the intense build up of emotions between the main characters, to the happy ending, No Strings Attached dotted every I and crossed every T. Slow burning lust, what started out as casual soon became something much more complex. Add in an ex and let the fireworks commence. I could not have been more blissfully happy with a story than this one.

Drama. Check. Sizzling attraction. Check. Wit and humour. Check. A romance with everything. Check, check and more check! Lara Ward Cosio, you have outdone yourself. An impossible to put down drama that was perfectly executed and will leave an unforgettable and momentous impression. 5 stars.

A sweet and steamy romance with a strong female main character and a smoking hot male interest.

Tessa is a single mom doing it completely alone. She works hard and spends all of her time with her daughter Emerson. Tanner is a single man who is always working and helping his sister while her husband is deployed. When the two meet they cannot deny their instant attraction to one another, but neither of them have the time to start a relationship. Despite their busy lives they decide to start a no strings attached relationship. However, one person usually ends up having more feelings than the other. Add a rockstar of an ex who walks back into Tessa’s life and things quickly get messy. Now Tessa is torn on what to do and has some big decisions to make for her and her daughter.

I absolutely loved Tessa. As a recently turned single mom myself it was amazing to follow along with Tessa while she made time to do something just for herself for the first time since having her daughter. It’s honestly why I first picked up this book because I could relate to Tessa. What I didn’t realize was that it would give me hope and remind me that it’s okay to just do things for yourself once in a while as a woman not as a mom.

I absolutely ADORE these stories! Lara did such a great job of setting the scene and having Kayla & Tanner’s interactions so natural and fluid that I felt like I was reading a diary rather than a work of fiction. I could picture everything as it was taking place!
These stories are an absolute guilty pleasure of mine and I enjoy them to the fullest.
Boy meets girl, relationship is established, emotions are formed, hurdles are overcome, hurt ensues, someone apologizes to someone & either they walk away or they make it work! It’s a simple equation but it’s perfect when done correctly.
I can’t really say any more without giving away vital parts of the book so all I will say is, READ IT YOURSELF! Pinky-promise?

A quick, fun and easy read that will have you giggling. Kayla and Tanner have such a fun chemistry that it sizzles. Neither thinks they have time for romance so they choose to go for no-strings attached. All the fun and no commitment which works nice until someone else enters the picture. The someone else happens to be Kayla’s ex, can we say green-eye’d monster here? Kayla has a child with him and that makes it very complicated for her. Tanner soon realizes that strings have attached. The characters in this story are hilarious and well-written. There scenes in the beginning of the story are classic. When she is caught butt-staring, her responses are lame yet funny, but Tanner is busted too. I mean, come one, who hasn’t done that? And when she tried to text her bestie a picture of his butt and he was right behind her? I started laughing so hard my chest hurt. This is an incredibly funny romance that you should definitely read. It will make your day brighter. Highly recommend.

Kayla and Tanner have undeniable chemistry. Their meet-cute in the coffee shop was funny and adorable at the same time. And what luck that the construction worker she was watching from her apartment every morning just so happened to be watching her too! I love that this story revolves around a single mother, a military wife/mother with a deployed husband, and everything that those two things entail. Kayla is working a job that she isn’t sure she loves; Tanner is working as a manager on the site rather than working with his own hands and getting a business ready for his brother-in-law when he comes home from Afghanistan, and Rad is still on his own personal “journey”. It made it extremely relatable and incredibly easy to read. Add in the intense steamy scenes and the budding romance between Kayla and Tanner and this book was amazing from start to finish. I love the relationship that was made between Kayla and Tanner’s sister and between the kids, but the ultimate heart-melting moment for me was between Kayla’s daughter and Tanner. This story was wonderful, and I am looking forward to reading more from Lara Ward Cosio. I suggest you do the same!

No Strings AttachedNo Strings Attached by Lara Ward Cosio
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a good book right from the start, I do enjoy my romances and I certainly do enjoy my steamy stories that defiantly like to bring on the heat like a nicely heated oven. This amazing book certainly did that and then some! It was a book that truly sucked me in, and I could sit back and enjoy my coffee in my peace, and wonder what would happen next with all the characters! And that is exactly what I did!

The characters were so relatable in different ways. Kayla was a awesome character. She was a single mom, but that does not mean she does not have certain things she needs or wants fulfilled. Things a good cup of coffee just can not withhold to do! Throw in Tanner. Sexy, sweet, and a hard worker and has the right thing to squeeze in certain places. (Yes I id enjoy the visual of his perfectly described buns he has in various moments through out reading) The attraction between them is mutual for sure. They both have things going on and both in different ways, and they both know they need to prioritize their ends and their goals they are out doing…but perhaps a good amount of fun and pleasure was in the cards? I mean it is not like feelings or any other drama will come in the way of fun casual sex right?

That is when drama of course happens. Things are good for Tanner and Kayla. Maybe just too good. With every growing touch, or thrust I dare say, maybe just maybe one or both of them is realizing there is more to what makes the sex so good than just sex. Maybe they can not live without the other? Maybe that emptiness in their hearts they felt they need not worry about could finally be filled even if they always felt it was never needed? Sometimes the things you never knew you wanted truly are the things you absolutely needed,…but with good causal sex can cause drama other than catching something that will make your heart flutter…Kayla’s ex returns. I first off thought he was a crappy dad to her daughter. And a horrible person. I wanted him gone. Will be come in the way of Tanner and Kayla’s happiness. Or will the casual friends with benefits grow to be something only the great musicians write about?

The author did a amazing job at this book! The character development was amazing, and I was hooked from the drama to the steamy lustful filled moments, to rooting for a happily ever after by the end! i loved all the feels I had going for me as I read through. It was a well written story and everything molded together perfectly. I defiantly can not wait to read more by this author in the future1 Their ability to craft a great story as they did here, for sure makes them a worth while author to read!

I just want to start with this: I wish I can see what Dat Ass really looked like LOL! But for real, this story was AMAZING! Lara, GREAT JOB! I was hooked from the beginning, and finished so Satisfied, but also now ready to read some more of her stories!! Kayla just couldn’t stop staring at a butt who ended up being a Handsome Single man who had the right packages, but not the time. Kayla is a single mom with an adorable 4 year old daughter working to support them both, but not with the job she really wants to do. Kayla and Tanner work slowly to get to know each other in other ways while they tackle many obstacles. There is a lot of love, family, friendships, and drama, but they all work perfectly together in this story. I seriously enjoyed every moment of this book!

No Strings Attached: A Steamy Stand-Alone Romance by Lara Ward Cosio is a fun and feisty read.

Anyone who has been caught checking someone out will totally relate to the meeting between Tanner and Kayla. Sparks fly between them, but despite the growing chemistry both have commitments that mean a relationship is off the cards. But a casual fling would work well for both.

I loved watching the relationship between Tanner and Kayla grow. They are such a sweet couple, and I really enjoyed the slow-burn element and watching their relationship develop. There are lots of fantastic characters, Kayla’s daughter Emmy is adorable, and all of the reasons that the couple use for not wanting a relationship actually make them so much stronger.
It’s a fun, easy-to-read story.

I enjoyed this romance story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. One of the things I enjoy most about this author is her ability to pull me into her stories from the beginning. This book is no different. This is a well written story where the author used details to make the story realistic as well as kept it engaging. I had a hard time putting this book down. The characters made the story fun and entertaining to read. They also brought the steam to a new level. I enjoyed this growth and chemistry. They are connectable, strong and just made the story for us. After a few steamy nights and an agreement just to keep things no strings attached. Will things change for these two characters and they get more than the no strings attached? I really enjoyed the growth of the plot throughout the story. A great story that I highly recommend.

No Strings Attached by Lara Ward Cosio
Genre – Romance, Steamy Romance, Single-mom Romance
Page Count – 295 pages

I don’t normally stare at men’s butts. Especially not random guys in my local coffee shop. I mean, I’m a single working mom, completely devoted to my four-year-old daughter. This so isn’t me. It’s just that his backside is … phenomenal.
Turns out his name is Tanner and he’s been watching me right back. Not at the coffee shop, but from his construction site across the street from my apartment.
After a couple of flirty encounters, our mutual attraction leads to a no strings attached bargain based purely on convenience and pleasure. This arrangement is totally uncharacteristic for me, but it’s also perfect.
Or so I tell myself. Before long, we’re spending time with each other that has nothing to do with our agreement and things between us start to feel all too real.
When my swoony, completely unreliable, rock star ex comes back into town begging for a chance to reunite our family, things get … complicated.
Suddenly, Tanner is jealous and I’m trying to figure out where I stand and what I want, torn between what makes me happy and what’s best for my daughter.
No Strings Attached is a steamy stand-alone romance with a guaranteed HEA by the author of Hula Girl.

Rock Star on the Verge (Rogue Series Book 9) by Lara Ward Cosio

I have read every single book in this series and loved each and every one of them. I think this book is now my favorite and I hope to see more books in the future even if it’s the next generation.

First we get to see a grown up Donal grow up a bit more on his journey with Conor. Donal learns more about himself as a person and a musician. As well as learning more his Uncle Conor and developing a deeper relationship with him.

Then we get to see a side of Conor that rarely if ever comes out. He is going through a lot and needs to sort out.

I loved the rawness in Conor and watching Donal figure stuff out. They both get to view things from a different perspective and help one another more than either one would have ever thought.

I truly hope this is not the end of this series. I love each and every member of Rouge and I’m not ready to say bye.

Book 9 in the Rogue Series, Rock Star on the Verge by Lara Ward Cosio was simply an amazing adventure! I truly love this series and the depths that it goes to. This is not your typical “rock star” book. This story follow’s Donal, a 17 year old on the verge of turning 18 that has no care in the world except going to clubs and his following on Instagram. He wants to be a musician but doesn’t want to put the effort into it. Donal is also Martin Wheeler’s of Rogue’s son. Conor, the guitarist of Rogue is on a downward spiral of depression. Having just lost his father, he doesn’t have any enjoyment out of life anymore. So what do they do? Go on a motorbike trip from Ireland to Spain so that Donal can finally meet his girl and to find a sense of adventure. It will also help Conor do a bit of healing too. It was a really good book, as I couldn’t put it down! There are so many elements and emotions to this book it made you connect with it on a different level. I can’t say enough about this book and this series. I would definitely read the books from the beginning so you can have a background to place it all. However, I’m sure you get away with reading this by itself though. I can’t wait to read the next one to see where Donal’s career as a musician has taken him!

by Lara Ward Cosio

I have loved the Rogue series since I read the first book and this one is no different. In this book we get to watch Donal and Conor figure some things out. Donal Whelan is the son of Martin Whelan, a member of Rogue. Conor, Donal’s godfather has been depressed since his father passed away. These two end up on a road trip, they both discover new things about themselves and each other. This book is so well written, you can feel the emotions jumping off the pages. I was happy to see all the old characters we know and love in this book as well. This book can be read as a standalone but it is my suggestion that you read all of the books in this series so you have more back story of the characters and because they are all really great books! I can never get enough of this series and I hope it never ends. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this story, but I will say that this is a must read! I highly recommend this book.

From page one I knew I was in for quite the adventure with all these amazing characters. This coming of age story took me on a journey that had me on the edge of my seat more than once anxiously waiting to see what the next pages would bring. The attention to even the smallest of details had me in complete awe of this author and her writing style. The characters are complex and relatable making them seem very life like. Rock Star on The Verge is the 9th book in the Rogue Series by Lara Ward Cosio. This series is set around Irish rock band Rogue, the band members and their families. I had read a couple of the earlier books in the series, those with Danny Boy’s story and really enjoyed them and was looking forward to reading another book in this great series.
This book is a bit different in that the romantic element totally takes a back seat, the book is much more of a coming of age story for Donal and a re-evaluation of life for Conor. I hadn’t read the books with Conor’s story but I really loved getting to know him in this book. It was hard reading about him struggling with depression after the death of his father after losing my own father to Covid recently but could totally understand what he was going through.
I absolutely loved the camaraderie between Donal and Conor as they went on their journey, literally and figuratively. Donal has always hero worshipped Conor and I loved reading about him getting to see the real Conor.
Another thing that I really loved about this book was seeing the other Rogue guys and their families again. There is such a great bond between them all and the support they give each other is fantastic (as are the put-downs they give each other too).
I really enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to anyone considering reading it.
