Hold Me Forever (Heron Harbor Book 3) by Lea Nolan

4-stars

Hold Me Forever is the first book I have read in this series so I can honestly say that it can be read as a standalone, as I was able to jump right in and follow along without any problem. However, I loved this book so much that I will absolutely be diving back into the series and reading the first two books of the Heron Harbor series.

I loved both Lark and Hunter, they were two characters with so much history and chemistry that you could practically feel through the pages. I found them super easy to connect with, the author managed to make them feel so real and I quickly found myself feeling invested in how their story was going to play out. And let me tell you I was not disappointed!

I look forward to starting this series over from the beginning and I look forward to hopefully reading more of some of my favorite secondary characters.

HOLD ME FOREVER (HERON HARBOR Book 3) by LEA NOLAN – Review by Lorrene Huisman

Hold Me ForeverHold Me Forever by Lea Nolan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a beautifully well written story that truly captured my own heart and I had trouble letting go as I read through it. It showed me in truth, sometimes we lose the most precious thing we love the most and even if we truly treasure it and squeeze it as tight as we can in our hands…it still can slip through, but if its meant to be it will always find its way back to you. True love is never really gone, it just gets put on the back burner for a while sometimes. Sometimes trusting your heart is the best decision you could ever truly make.

This was a story of love that was, love that was lost, and of love that maybe was truly meant to be all along, but sometimes the irony of a second chance requires a little bit more convincing. The story followed through on Lark, whom was a great artist. I admired her she followed her passion and her dreams and got to live the live she wanted so much and be perfectly happy! Or was she? The art she paints perhaps it hides more pain and loss than she cares to let on? She was living the dream and she felt so happy, but was something inside her heart missing? She was strong willed and had her walls up, but in all honesty she knew very well one person had her heart and always would…and his name was Hunter.

Hunter was a old flame of Lark. He and Lark had a time together, and they I feel both knew it was the rea thing, Sadly, life gives you choices and you have to make decisions on what is thrown at you, and sometimes you have to gain something and lose something. That’s what had happened here. Hunter is now a police chief of the town that gave him the true love you can only hope to read about in books.

Perhaps fate had another chance though, Hunter and Lark are brought back together for the town that lit their flame, for a wedding they both had reasons to attend. Perhaps the town would re light what once was but this time keep it burning forever. Sometimes the best things in life are never easy. They take work, love, and trust, and sometimes it means trusting someone to love you and to have the power to hurt you, but in truth you are trusting them not to. True love is never really gone from the world you reside or your heart, you just have to help it as well as yourself, find a way back to one another.

Beautiful love story and well written. It truly got to my emotions and I loved it. I love small town romance novels and I love a love story that shows you even if you lose one another you can still find your way back to one another, even when it seems literally impossible. Lark and Hunter were two characters I truly felt for. They had a strong ambition in both their hearts, and yet cared for one so deeply, that they would always be there no matter what they faced, because their love was that strong. I loved seeing them re kindle what once was plus growing as a couple and as well as a person in themselves. I t was like a watching a beautiful ballet where you can hope for the best and get more than you ever expected when you get to the end. The story and the bond of the characters, were heart felt and engaging.

I truly enjoyed this book. I truly can say I will be picking up more by this wonderful author. The story was sweet, sensitive, and realistic to me. We all can face better options in life, and take a loss with it, but sometimes you go back to where you first started. Highly recommend you pick up and read this book.

This is the 3rd book in the Heron Harbour series. This book can be read as a standalone but our main characters have appeared in previous books as supporting characters now they get a book of their own to tell us about their story. I really enjoyed the characters personalities and how the author brings them to life.
The author does an amazing job of grabbing a reader and not letting go. This book is full of romance but also takes the reader down a path of pain and hurt and you understand why our leading lady Lark guards her heart.
Lark returns home to Heron Harbour for her sister’s wedding and she is not looking forward to it. Since she left she had a good life concentrating on her work and keeping her heart guarded. Her main worry about returning always bumping into someone from her past Hunter.

Hunter loves his life as police chief on Heron Harbour and he thought he had it all but when Lark rejected him and left the rejection left its mark.

Now they are thrown together at this wedding as Hunter is best man. Will the spark that was once between them return? Will they both let their guards down enough to actually give their love a chance? Or will Lark try and run again. The question is how hard with Hunter fight for her this time.

The Universe has spoken. Lark thinks it has spoken in a positive way. Hunter, ever the pessimist, thinks it is sending a “no way” message. Lark and Hunter dated in college and things didn’t end well for them thanks to deception from her father. Six years later, they are thrown together again in Heron Harbor when her sister, Wren is getting married. Lark drives this old RV and lives the Boho lifestyle of an artist. Hunter is the Police Chief. I can just picture them when Lark’s RV breaks down on her way into town. Hunter, of course, is the one to stop and rescue her. From there, it’s a series of misadventures that seriously make you think the universe is saying no. But through a medical emergency, planning a wedding, learning about family deception and secrets, figuring out how they really feel about each other; Hunter and Lark are able to come back together and figure out there future. I found this book fun and entertaining. I could picture this over in a town in Maine. The description sounded like the perfect place. The characters were quite entertaining. I definitely recommend this one.

Hold Me Forever by Lea Nolan is the third book in the Heron Harbor series. This book can be read as a stand-alone although you are briefly introduced to these characters in the previous books.
I thought this book was a fantastic addition to this series. It had a little bit of everything to keep you fully immersed in the story. I thought the characters in this book were what made it though. They had such a strong connection between them that I could feel it in every interaction. I wanted them to find a way to work past their issues as it felt like they deserved to be together.
The story was well paced from start to finish – just right for being drawn into and engaged until the end. This is a great book and I am looking forward to what is next.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hold Me Forever is book three in the Heron Harbour series by Lea Nolan. This story is a great addition to the second chance genre, and the author adds her own clever spin to it. Lark is an artsy free spirit that goes back home after years of being away, hoping she doesn’t run into her past. Hunter is one mistake she is wanting to forget, but as we all know, all is fair in love and war. Hunter wants her back and will use any means necessary to win back her heart.

Hold Me Forever was an easy to read romance, with many colourful characters to keep things flowing and entertaining. Emotions aplenty, this story was passionate, endearing and addictive. A captivating addition to the Heron series and a wonderful cast of energetic and eclectic characters. A real entertainer. 4 stars.

Lark Donovan has lived her life in seclusion from her family since her father attended her college graduation. She lives in the Belcher Art Colony in Vermont for six months where she teaches art. Then she travels the country for the rest of the year attending festivals where she sells her art and teaching art workshops at various locations. She’s stayed away from her family’s beach house on Heron Harbor. Now she has to return for her sister, Wren’s wedding.

Hunter McMullen is Heron Harbor’s Chief of Police. Growing up in Heron Harbor was hard for Hunter. But when he worked his way through college at the University of Delaware, his life seemed to be on the right track. He fell in love with Lark Donovan. Their plan was to elope and live happily ever after. Then Lark told him she couldn’t go, and he hasn’t seen her since. That is until he turns his car around after seeing a stranded motorist on the main avenue of Heron Harbor.

Hold me Forever by Lea Nolan a five-star read that I set alight by the chemistry in the pages. This is number three in the Heron Harbour books and I have loved them all, the characters do pop up in each other’s stories, and you do enjoy them as a series, but at a push they could be read as stand-alone, but they are a great series so you would be missing out. Lark is someone you will simply adore, she has her passion and you cant miss strong it makes her.

Hold Me Forever is the 3rd book in the Heron Harbor series by Lea Nolan. I did not read the prior two books so I wasn’t sure if I would be lost in the characters. I’m happy to report that Ms. Nolan does an excellent job of describing the scene and characters for those of us who read this as a standalone novel. Hold Me Forever centers on Lark, an artist who ran from her past to avoid hurting those she loves, and Hunter, the sheriff of Heron Harbor. Lark returns to Heron Harbor for her older sisters wedding and finds herself being saddled with her former, secret flame, Hunter, to finish the planning of her sisters wedding. We follow the pair as they handle the uncertainty of their love for one another and if we can see a happily ever after for them. This book has wonderful characters, great location, and gives you actual family drama that seems relatable. I greatly enjoyed this story of love, family and friendship.

Hold Me Forever (Heron Harbor Book 3) by Lea Nolan is a contemporary romance that has all the feels. This wonderfully written heart-warming tale is engaging and enjoyable and takes us on an emotional ride right along with the characters. The story flows nicely and the descriptive narrative brings world Lea has imagined and the characters to life. There is lots of feelings in this book and has plenty of angst and drama to keep the pages turning. With lots of charm, wit and chemistry and romance. Unfortunately, it is the last book in the trio.

Hold Me Forever is the third book in the Heron Harbor series by Lea Nolan. This series took me by surprise back in book one- I really wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did. Considering that we met the MC’s in this book in the previous book/s (where they were supporting characters), and the fact that I really loved the first two instalments meant that I had high expectations for this book. So, after devouring it in one sitting, I am happy to say that it was even better than I had hoped for.
It is a contemporary, small-town, second chance romance, with plenty of sizzling chemistry, steamy scenes, drama, angst, and some wonderfully quirky, interesting and endearing characters.
Even though this could be read as a standalone, as each instalment focuses on one particular couple, I really recommend reading the first two books before starting on this one- as having a cast of recurring characters who appear in each instalment, means there are plenty of interesting details contained in the previous instalments which are really worth knowing, as I feel that would enhance your reading experience of this book.
I had already loved Hunter from the previous books, and I was quite intrigued by Lark and wanted to know so much more about her as I found her a little mysterious (in previous books). So it was really great to finally get to know her better, and also see what these two had in store for themselves. Lark and Hunter have a bit of a complicated past- and have been apart for 6 years. But the spark between them still burns- and it doesn’t take much to rekindle it into a fiery blaze. What happens between the local town sheriff and the quirky, free spirited artist? This is definitely worth the read to discover all the wonderful details for yourself.
I really hope this isn’t the last we will see of Heron Harbor.
Looking forward to seeing what Ms. Nolan does next.

Thank you, Lea Nolan!

Definitely a swoon worthy book and I loved it. Lark comes back to Heron Harbor for her sisters upcoming wedding with her RV “Minnie” and upon arrival Minnie dies. In comes Hunter McMullen, the Heron Harbor chief of police and Lark is face to face with the man she left go the day before they were going to elope years ago. When Lark’s sister Wren and her fiancee Smith need full help on planning their upcoming wedding due to work commitments, they put Lark and Hunter together to save their day. In the story you really feel the love between Lark and Hunter even years later after Lark hurt Hunter. Will Lark and Hunter overcome the past and be together at last? Definitely read the book and find out. This book is totally worth the time to sit back and relax and read. 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 read.

This is the third book in this series which I enjoyed from beginning to end. This is a newer author for me, I look forward to going back to read the previous books in this series. This is a well written romance story that will show you what happens when you have a past that has caused you to shield your heart from hurt. The characters are relatable and I really enjoyed them. They brought the story to life and are written with a lot of heart. I enjoyed being pulled into the story by them from the first word. Lark is determined to protect her heart from getting hurt so she doesn’t need anything but her art. Hunter is the chief of police but is missing something in his life, someone to love. These two meet at a wedding they are both in but something sparks with them. Will Hunter be able to convince Lark to give him a chance? I enjoyed their growth throughout the story and their chemistry is great. They made the story for me and I highly recommend this book.

Lark Donovan is the youngest of the Donovan sisters. Lark is doing something she told herself that she wouldn’t do. She is going back to Heron Harbor for her sister’s, Wren, wedding. There are many minefields waiting for Lark on Heron Harbor, memories of her father, her sisters’ happiness, and most of all the man she walked out on six years ago.

Hunter McMullen knew the day he was going to have to see Lark Donovan was inevitable when he agreed to be the Best Man in her sister’s wedding. What he didn’t know was that the fates were conspiring against him. Lark had barely been on the island for an hour when she was put into his path. WIth the universe plotting to throw them together at every turn, Lark and Hunter find themselves completing Wren’s last minute checklist items for the wedding. When family secrets come out, will they drive Lark away again? Will Hunter and Lark find what they have been searching for in each other?

I want to be Lark. I want to hop in Minnie the Winnie and take off across the country with her. I want to teach art to seniors and kids. I want the bond she has with her sisters. I want to smack her father for all the lies and deceit. I am in this. Give me a bird name. I am ready to find out what island life is all about. This was my first foray into the series. I will have to go back and get caught up. What is next? Does Lorelai find love? Do Elliot and Wyatt grow up? Take me back to Heron Harbor anytime!!

Lark Donavan is returning to the one place she really doesn’t want to go, back to Heron Harbor. Her sister is getting married, she can’t miss that! She pulls into town with Minnie, her RV, and Minnie promptly dies. The police officer that was driving by, turns around and comes back. Within minutes of returning to Heron Harbor, Lark is faced with her past in the form of Hunter McMullen.
The universe throws Lark and Hunter together for the span of her time in Heron Harbor. They both still feel the love for each other that they did six years earlier. Can they get over the past hurts to find that love again?
I love Lark, such a free spirit and black sheep of the family. She is faced with some truths from her past that she isn’t sure how to deal with, but with her belief in holistic healing and help from Hunter, she may just be able to find the truth that heals her heart. This was such a wonderful love story, with truths about how our family and what they say/tell us can alter how we feel about ourselves.

This is the second book in this series but can be read as a stand-alone. Raven and Jack both end up in the same beach house trying to forget about life and it stresses. Neither one is what the other expected and as they turn what was supposed to be a bit of fun into something potential both Raven and Jack found out that they have A LOT more in common than they originally thought. Well written characters, book, and plot I’m a new Lea Nolan fan!!!

Claim Me Now by Lea Nolan is the second book in the Heron Harbor series, and it was a great read! This book felt like a quick read, not only because the chapters were pretty short but also because it was just that good. I didn’t want to put this book down! This is the first novel I’ve read from this series, I wasn’t confused so this could definitely be a standalone novel! The characters were great and well written, with amazing character development throughout the book. I loved the diverse characters and all their traits. It felt like being home with my family when I read it. It was also pretty steamy, so that could be a plus if you enjoy that short of thing, and I do. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

Claim Me Now (Heron Harbor #2) by Lea Nolan

This is the first book I’ve read by the author and it can be read as a stand alone. Nolan captures your attention with the way she writes. I was falling in love with the characters before I really knew them.

Raven doesn’t do relationships and she sure as hell doesn’t fall in love. Fired from her job she goes to her family’s beach house. Thinking a long weekend will help, but when a stranger enters the picture things change. The quote I chose for Raven is: “You bought Paulson Diagnostics?”

Jack drives in a storm to a beach house he rented from a friend. When he arrives he’s in for a shocker and it’s the good kind of shocker. He gets a call from a co-worker saying they have a spy in the company and then finds a bigger problem. The quote I chose for Jack is: “When you walked back in the diner, your hair was a little wind-blown, your cheeks flushed from the cold. You looked beautiful. And a little wild. Kind of like you’d been sexed up. A man would’ve had to have been all-the-way blind to have missed you.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

Claim Me Now by Lea Nolan was a great 5 star read.
I was pulled in right from the beginning and had a late night of reading because I didn’t want to put it down.

Raven gets some shocking news from her bosses children which includes that she is now unemployed. She is devastated due to the recent project she was working on and worried about her co-workers and their jobs. To get away she goes to her beach house for the weekend. What she didn’t expect was Jack Baines waking her up, and let’s say that was an interesting moment that had me LOL.

Jack was looking for a downtime weekend to regroup after taking over another company. He hasn’t been happy with how his stepfather has been running things and has plans for when he takes over. He didn’t expect to find Raven at the home he had rented for the weekend.

They both decided to try and share the house for the weekend. The attraction between them was too much and they have a very steamy evening that turns into a weekend thing. When a storm hit’s things take a dangerous twist and we get an even bigger glimpse into the hunky man. There is so much more to this read than two people falling in love, there are some things from the past that come up and we get another HUGE twist that throws Raven for a loop. Will these two let their walls down and get a HEA? Overall I really enjoyed this read, both characters were great and all of the secondary characters added a great element as well. If you are looking for a great read with more than romance this is the series and book for you. I look forward to reading more from the series. 1-click and get started today.

This author has a brilliant writing style that captivates you from the very beginning and brings the characters to life! These two characters had amazing chemistry that was undeniable and really made this book engaging as I really wanted to see where their connection and relationship would go, throughout the read, I couldn’t help but root for them but with them being opposites, will there be too many issues stopping it from being a HEA? I can’t wait to read more books from this author until then I highly recommend this book.

Claim Me Now by Lea Nolan is the second book in the Heron Harbor series. This book can be read as a stand-alone and is a great story with strong and interesting characters.
I always love a story when the characters don’t know the full extent of who the other is so I was excited to start reading this book. Jack and Raven worked so well together. They had such a strong chemistry right from the moment they met. Their journey was one that had highs and lows which only made them more interesting to read about. I couldn’t wait to see what would happen when they discovered the truth about each other.
The overall story I thought was well written. The author has a found balance between developing the story and providing a level of detail to keep your attention. This isn’t the first book that I have read by this author but it is definitely one of my favourites. I will definitely be going back to read the first book in this series and I would recommend this book to anyone.

After being fired from her job, Raven escapes to a beach house to get away (and drown her sorrows in a bottle of tequila). Jack, a workaholic, also heads to the beach to seek refuge from the stress of company takeovers. As luck would have it, Jack and Raven end up in the same house. Neither is in the market for a relationship…but a couple of steamy days with a stranger is something they both agree on. Mother Nature, however, has different plans and puts them in situations neither of them expected. As they begin to open up to each other, and truths start coming to light, they find out that they have quite a bit more in common than they thought…and that’s not necessarily a good thing. Can they look beyond their jobs to make a real go at a relationship…or are they meant to be just a fling?
I enjoyed both Raven and Jack’s characters (even if I wanted to bop both of them upside the head a few times). There were some steamy scenes which I enjoyed and story line that kept me turning the pages til the end. I read the first book in this series, but this book can definitely be read as a standalone. There are some supporting characters in this story that I loved! This is a series that I will continue reading as more are published.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this romance story. I loved the twists and turns and how fate has a plan for the two lead characters no matter how much they fight it.

Raven is a strong successful business woman but when she is fired from her job she retreats to her family home hoping for a weekend of alone time and peace. That is until Jack arrives.

Jack is a friend of Raven’s sister who rented him the cottage without telling her sister. So imagine both Jack and Ravens surprise when they realise the mistake.

After not finding a solution apart from sharing the house the attraction between them grows. However Jack is hiding a secret which could destroy their relationship before it even begins.

Can they survive Jack’s secret? Can they stop the attraction between them growing? Can they build something new together or will they fall apart?

CLAIM ME NOW (Heron Harbor Book 2) by Lea Nolan – Review by Karyn Taylor

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Claim Me Now is the second book in the Heron Harbor series by Lea Nolan. Although part of a series it can be read as a standalone. I had not read the first book in the series before reading this one and didn’t feel that I was missing any necessary information. In fact, I had not read any of this author’s work before reading this but I’m very glad that I chose to read this book as I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Claim Me Now is a contemporary romance that has great characters and the story flows very well, keeping the reader engaged throughout.
Raven Donovan has chosen to go to her family home in Heron Harbor after a particularly disastrous day at work. What she didn’t expect was the handsome man in her house. Jack Baines needs a break after a stressful week at work and his friend Lark Donovan offers him her family home for a weekend away.
Raven and Jack’s story is great. Both are unwilling to leave the house so they agree to both stay there but give each other space. But when the attraction between them gets to hard to bear will they both give into their attraction.
And will the reason that both of them had such a stressful week at work come back to haunt them as they realise that both of them are linked?
This is a really enjoyable read and I struggled to put it down. I just couldn’t wait until both their secrets came out and see how everything around them would explode when it happened. Definitely recommend!

CLAIM ME NOW (Heron Harbor Book 2) by Lea Nolan – Review by Chantelle Smith

This is my first read from this author and a brilliant introduction into this author it was!
