This is a contemporary romance story with a bit of excitement thrown in for good measure. This story had a bit of everything you could want from this genre – great characters with a strong connection, a sweet and believable romance as well as bit of action for entertainment. I thought the two main characters worked really well together. There was push back from both of them in the start but the bond between them grew into such a strong connection.
I thought the author did a great job with the supporting characters too. Everyone added to the overall story nicely. The book was well developed and a truly sweet romance. I am looking forward to more from this author.

This book was so GREAT I literally could not put it down and finished it within 24hours, which is something I can do if I am truly hooked! I have read other books by this author and was so excited when I saw this book as it sounded like something totally up my ally to read. Levi, the main character, has very bad PTSD as he is an ex-Navy Seal who has come back to his family’s home due to his parents’ demise. One of his close friends call him and states that they have a rose that needs planting, which means he needs to help watch someone who is in protective custody. This is how we meet Bella. Bella has an ex who with her testimony will be able to put him away for a long time so her being safe is the only objective. This was not your average love story, which made it great as it was one of a kind and a very great read! I cannot wait to read more books in this series as well as by this author!

Levi (The Brothers of Creekside Ranch Book 1) by Edith Mackenzie – Review by Jessica Stone

Bella, a young English aristocrat is forced to go into hiding, after leaving her abusive Russian mafia boyfriend Dmitri and turning him in for his crimes awaiting his trial. The last thing Bella expected was becoming a nanny to an orphaned girl in a house full of gorgeous and slightly bossy men.

Levi, an ex- Navy SEAL, recently returned home to his family ranch after losing both of his parents, he and his two brothers have taken over caring for not only the ranch, but also their little sister Allie who’s been left devastated by their recent lose.
The last thing Levi needs right now is some snooty beautiful English woman coming into his life and fighting his every word. But that’s exactly what he gets when asked by an old friend to house Bella and keep her safe.

So under the guise of her being a nanny hired to take care of Allie, Bella, now going by Beccy learns the ins and outs of farm life. Between Dodging two gorgeous brothers whom she started to consider family and one brother who can’t seem to say anything nice to her, but for some reason she can’t get him off her mind, she has her hands full. Bella definitely didn’t know what to expect, especially when she finds herself falling in love with Levi, can Bella and Levi work through their own past traumas and find love and safety within each other’s arms. Or will the past catch up to them…

Terrific book, the dynamic between the brothers makes for a wonderful read, throwing a spicy little through bread in added the perfect amount of flavor to make for a captivating read. I love that this book dives into so tough subjects as we discover some of Levi’s past as a ex navy SEAL while still keeping the story light and enjoyable. Its definitely something I’d like to see more off.
I would LOVE to read books about the other brothers, they are very charming and though we only skim the surface of them as characters in this book, they are hard not to fall in love with.

There’s a lot of growth in Bella during this book as well, I believe that she came from a place of privilege and was thrust into a unknown situation and family dynamic which forced change where there otherwise wouldn’t have been any.

All and all a 4 star read!

A wounded Seal that has demons of his own that he is dealing with is called to protect a witness. This book gave me all the feeling and kept me on the edge of my seat once I got into it. It started off a little slow as I envisioned it was sad in the beginning but once you’re past the 3rd chapter and you meet Bella aka Beccy you fall in love with her and Levi and the thriller of the past life they have endured and overcome. I would love to read a sequel to this!

Levi is the first book in The Creekside Ranch series and a Cowboy Romance that I truly enjoyed reading. This is a fairly new author to me and I look forward to seeing what other books she has written. This is a fast paced short story that I read in one sitting because I had to know what was going to happen next. The characters are relatable and fully developed and easy to fall in love with. The storyline flowed so well that I felt like I was apart of the story. This is a wonderfully written story about Levi and Bella. These two couldn’t be more opposite from one another but you’ve heard the saying “Opposites Attract”. One thing these two do have in common is the one thing that is keeping them from finding love and happiness. The chemistry between these two is definitely there. Find out what happens next with these .i highly recommend reading this book. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

“Levi” is a romantic adventure that was entertaining as well as heart breaking. Levi and his brothers moved back home to take care of there younger sister. He got a call to help a friend “hide” someone. Voila, he had a new nanny. Bella, not a regular nanny, grew into the job while hiding out. A romance grew but would it last? What would happen to Levi’s sister? Oh, you’ll have to read it to find out, cause I’m not telling. You’ll enjoy it. I loved the book. The plot is fabulous with a twist or two. The characters are uniquely written. You feel the emotion in the story. It makes for a memorable book. Highly recommend.

This is book 1 of the Creekside Ranch series and is Levi and Bella’s story. It was an easy afternoon escape read with a clean and slow burn romance making it a treat. The story has a strong plot line and well developed characterisation. There is a HEA for our couple and an opening to book 2 for Amos’ story, which I will be sure to check out.

Every so often, I’m in need of a good wholesome romance and this author so delightfully delivers just that. I feel we all have our own backstories and that’s part of what makes us us, so I very much enjoyed Bella and Levi’s stories, individually and together.

Very much enjoyed the character building and coming home to their ranch, and following this beautiful family pick themselves up after their devestating loss. Very much tugged at my heartstrings and had me rooting for them all. If you’re looking for some silver linings and sunshine after the storm, check this author out. Will continue to recommend!

Levi is a story about a girl who is hiding from her past, literally. She is supposed to testify against her ex, so she has to hide out so that she can stay safe until the trial. She ends up getting sent to a ranch with three brothers, but only one, Levi, knows her true reason for being there. The other two believe she is there to help out with some chores around the house and to help watch their kid sister. Levi is supposed to keep her safe while also keeping her secret. But he has a past of his own with his own demons to battle. These two strong willed characters butt heads on a regular basis, as they navigate their way through this unique arrangement.
I really enjoyed this book. There is good character development and I enjoyed the banter between the brothers. The book took some turns that I did not expect, and it was interesting to see their different stories unfold. I would definitely recommend this book, there is humor, mystery and danger and it keeps your attention from the first page. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Levi is the first book in The Brothers of Creekside Ranch series by Edith Mackenzie. This is a captivating contemporary western romantic suspense with danger, threats, action, opposites attract, banter, drama, a slow burn, emotion, and finding love unexpectedly.
Levi and Bella are thrust together when threats from the Russian Mafia mean Bella needs to go into hiding. Levi’s ranch becomes her hideout, with her posing as a nanny for his young sister- things take an interesting turn. With demons from their past, danger, and tension- these two are about to have their worlds turned upside down.
A great introduction to the series, and characters- looking forward to more. Bring on Book #2!

Once Bella aka Beccy, settles in on the Delaney Ranch, in protection hiding, Levi has asked Bella to be a nanny to help with Levi’s younger sister. Things go according to plan as Levi and his brothers, Amos and Elijah take care of the ranch as Bella helps with the Delaney brothers kid sister, Allie and fall into a natural routine. Will Levi protect Bella and his family when they need him the most?

Levi it the first book in this trilogy and is a clean western cowboy suspense slow burn romance story. There is action, danger, intrigue, fun banter and at times humour. The story is also a bit of an emotional ride with PTSD and hiding from the Russian mafia. I liked the characters although at times I didn’t know if I wanted to hug or to punch one of them but he redeemed himself. I had to remind myself that they both have demons from their pasts. The story has enough drama going on and suspense that keeps you entertained and the pages turning to see what happens next.

Opposites attract in this tale where we have a broken ex-Navy SEAL cowboy with a lot of anger inside and one feisty English aristocrat playing at being a nanny who happens to be in a real life or death situation. The Brothers of Creekside Ranch is about three gorgeous men who are triplets but let’s not forget their kid sister. The first book is about Levi and Bella and the following books about Amos and Elijah and I look forward to see what Edith brings.

I loved how this story played out. Levi being the “jerk brother” to Bella (AKA Beccy) when he brought her to the ranch to be a nanny to his little sister Allie. I loved how Bella and Allie became close and how she really did lift the girls spirits.

I was rooting for Levi and Bella from the get go and loved how the author let it play out naturally.

The intensity and drama started in the last several chapters and I could not stop because I was on the edge of my seat to find out what was going to happen.

Having PTSD I appreciate how the author added in the behaviors that Levi was struggling with. Then to get help thru a support animal, my heart kind of melted when Bella took Levi to meet Sargent.

I read the sneak peak for Amos and can’t wait for more from these brothers!

Sometimes it’s good to dive into a new author’s story. This was the perfect time for me. It held my 3 favorite things, Suspense, Romance and a well written story. Bella Orstwell is mixed up in some Russian Mafia Drama. She needs a place to disappear, what better than a ranch, playing as a nanny. Levi and his triplet brothers have come back to the ranch to care for the place and their half sister, who is much younger then the men of Creekside Ranch. That is all I am going to spill on this book! Oh and let’s not forget the author. She has a twist to telling her story. It is fast paced and keeps you wanting more. Thank goodness there is more to this series. As I am waiting! I hope you enjoy this story as much as I did. Read on fellow readers!

Levi is a tender, sweet romance that pulls on the heart strings. Levi is a former Navy Seal that has agreed to provide protection for Bella, a witness in a big mob case. Bella becomes Beccy in a swirl of paperwork and badges. Now Beccy is working as a nanny for Levi and his family. Everything comes to a disastrous head when Beccy’s location is discovered.

The author does a great job of moving the action forward. The reader can feel the suspense. I will be looking out for the next brother to find love!!

Levi Delaney is one of three triplets who is an ex-Navy Seal suffering from PTSD. He’s agreed to hide Bella from her tormentor, Dmitri, on his Creekside Ranch under the guise of a nanny to his kid sister, Allie. While on the ranch, Bella is known as Nanny Becc, a name she totally hates. Becc has never been a nanny, a housekeeper, or a rancher but she finds a way to fit in for her safety. Levi and her are like oil and vinegar on most days! His brothers Amos and Elijah are pretty drawn to the pretty Becc right away but Levi feels something a little different when he realizes that.
When Becc breaks a major rule, things get a little suspenseful and scary for everyone involved, especially for little Allie. Can Levi ever forgive those who’ve wronged him?

I loved this book! The characters are immediately loveable and relatable. There is a good mix of suspense, humor, and romance. This is a very clean romance novel that I would be comfortable with my teenage daughter reading. I am excited to read future stories about Elijah and Amos! This being my second book by Edith Mackenzie, she is now a favorite author to me!

This is the first book in a new series by an author I hadn’t read before. I really liked the blurb and decided to give an author I hadn’t read before a chance. I do tend to read more ‘spicy’, sometimes erotic books but I do also enjoy a good clean romance too, which this book is.
In this first book we get the story of Levi, one of a set of triplets. Books for other triplets Amos and Elijah are to follow and I’m now looking forward to those.
Levi is an ex Navy SEAL who is asked to protect British aristocrat Bella as she is in hiding waiting to testify against her Russian mafia ex boyfriend. Using the alias Beccy, she’s ‘hired’ to be the nanny of the triplets younger sister Allie following the death of their parents.
I really enjoyed Levi and Bella’s story. The characters are very well written and are relatable. The camaraderie between Levi and the other 2 triplets is great o read and I love how young sister Allie has the 3 men wrapped around her little finger.
The story flows really well and keeps you entertained from start to finish, wanting to keep turning the pages to see what happens next.
If you enjoy a clean romance with well written characters and a good storyline, this is the book for you.

Good old creek side ranch! Slow romance but it was a good read. Gotta love a cowboy! 🤠 it was a quick read and I think it went a little too quickly but it’s still a good one! Out of all the characters, Allie is probably my favorite! She’s sweet! it’s a typical butting heads between the 2 main characters and of course i love the angst lol. I don’t typically like reading third person books, but this one kept me interested ☺️

This book reminded me of a good wholesome Hallmark movie. Levi is a retired Navy SEAL living on a ranch with his brothers, they are triplets. Their parents just died, unexpectedly, and now they have a ranch and a little sister to take care of. None of them ever cared for a little girl and didn’t know what they were going to do. However, in their need Levi receives a phone call and is owing someone a favor. Bella, she is a key witness and entering into a sort of witness protection until they can bring down her ex-Russian mafia boyfriend. Levi is her cover and protector till they can show up in court, “hired” as his sister’s nanny and housekeeper. The five of them quickly get used to living together on the ranch and quickly build a bond. However, it does take some work since Levi is broken from his past and has a lot of rage. Bella quickly becomes his solace but the feelings are not fully understood. Will his demons be able to stabilize to protect his family? Will he be able to keep her safe from a crazy man?
This was really a wholesome story. I would say if you need a palate cleanser in between extreme reads, this is a great choice. I thought the characters were very loveable. I enjoyed the progress we see from Levi (maybe having military people in my family makes me love him a little more). I also enjoyed seeing a submissive woman turn into someone who had a mind of her own. It showed just how much love can change people after loss. It was sweet, flirty, and how all Hallmark movies end, with a happy ending!!

This book was such a good read. The author does an amazing job with the characters. Their story is gripping. You feel every emotion they go through. There were parts of the story that had me laughing such as the connection between the characters and especially Bella’s attitude. I love that she is fiesty and stands her ground even against Levi who could be a scary and imposing man. But Bella sees through the anger he shows to the hurt man that lies beneath. Their connection is brilliantly written. Its very push and pull and they push each others buttons something rotten but you can feel their attraction underneath it all which makes the comments and disagreements seem almost like a type of play. Both of them testing the other boundaries.

Levi and his brothers are left looking after their young sister after the death of their parents. Levi is a former navy seal and when he is called upon to help a young woman who is trying to hide he has no problem stepping in. After all it’s just another mission and they need a nanny for their sister so what could go wrong.

Bella has had a bad past that she is running from but thought it all she still remains strong and prepared to stand up for herself even against someone like Levi.

What neither of them expect is the emotions that they start to feel for one another and as much as both of them try to fight it they can’t run from it forever.

Can Bella unlock the secrets of Levi’s past and anger? Can Levi keep Bella safe from her past? Will the be able to save each other?

Levi: A clean and wholesome wounded hero cowboy romance is book one in Edith MacKenzie’s The Brothers of Creekside Ranch series. This was my first book by this author and overall, the book was good. I did find the beginning a little slow and the ending a little rushed. I also would have liked to see any type of character development from Levi. He was so stoic and serious (as many military men can be) and then randomly at the end showed emotion. It simply felt as though he could have grown a little more throughout the book. As the title stated, it is a very clean read, it almost felt like there was no relationship brewing between the pair. However, Bella seemed to sweet talk her way into Levi’s stubborn heart. After the emotional turmoil Bella went through in her last relationship, Levi and his brothers making her feel safe was absolutely everything. I definitely would like to read about the brothers and their lives in the future.

She doesn’t like anything about him. Well, maybe a few things…

English aristocrat Bella Orstwell thought helping get her abusive Russian mafia boyfriend arrested would be the end her troubles. It isn’t. Because even though she’s been whisked off to parts unknown to hide out until the trial, she now has to pretend to be the housekeeper to the Delaney Brothers and nanny to their kid sister. And then there’s Levi, one gorgeous bully of a cowboy tasked with protecting her. He might be in charge of her safety, but if he thinks she’s going to follow his every order without question, he’s in for a rude awakening…

Levi Delaney does not need a babysitting gig. Helping raise his orphaned kid sister and running the ranch with his brothers keeps him plenty busy. But an ex-Navy SEAL never turns down a call from an old friend—which is how he found himself in charge of keeping the annoyingly lovely Bella safe. Now, if only he could find a way to keep her quiet that didn’t involve kissing her—or falling for her…

Bella is shaping up to be a real pain in Levi’s behind, not the least the way his brothers keep falling over themselves when she’s around. But he gave his word that he’d keep her safe and that’s exactly what he plans to do. One small problem, the more she fights him, the more he finds her getting under his skin.

After the trauma of Dmitri, Bella just wants to survive, but is that enough? There’s something about her wounded hero that makes her want to heal him. Not that he wants to let anyone in close enough to do that. But he hasn’t dealt with her before.

Can these polar opposites overcome the demons of their pasts and find common ground on the road to happily ever after? Only if he can keep her alive that long…
