My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was such a good read. The author does an amazing job with the characters. Their story is gripping. You feel every emotion they go through. There were parts of the story that had me laughing such as the connection between the characters and especially Bella’s attitude. I love that she is fiesty and stands her ground even against Levi who could be a scary and imposing man. But Bella sees through the anger he shows to the hurt man that lies beneath. Their connection is brilliantly written. Its very push and pull and they push each others buttons something rotten but you can feel their attraction underneath it all which makes the comments and disagreements seem almost like a type of play. Both of them testing the other boundaries.

Levi and his brothers are left looking after their young sister after the death of their parents. Levi is a former navy seal and when he is called upon to help a young woman who is trying to hide he has no problem stepping in. After all it’s just another mission and they need a nanny for their sister so what could go wrong.

Bella has had a bad past that she is running from but thought it all she still remains strong and prepared to stand up for herself even against someone like Levi.

What neither of them expect is the emotions that they start to feel for one another and as much as both of them try to fight it they can’t run from it forever.

Can Bella unlock the secrets of Levi’s past and anger? Can Levi keep Bella safe from her past? Will the be able to save each other?
