Levi (The Brothers of Creekside Ranch Book 1) by Edith Mackenzie Review by Torey Foster

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Levi is a story about a girl who is hiding from her past, literally. She is supposed to testify against her ex, so she has to hide out so that she can stay safe until the trial. She ends up getting sent to a ranch with three brothers, but only one, Levi, knows her true reason for being there. The other two believe she is there to help out with some chores around the house and to help watch their kid sister. Levi is supposed to keep her safe while also keeping her secret. But he has a past of his own with his own demons to battle. These two strong willed characters butt heads on a regular basis, as they navigate their way through this unique arrangement.
I really enjoyed this book. There is good character development and I enjoyed the banter between the brothers. The book took some turns that I did not expect, and it was interesting to see their different stories unfold. I would definitely recommend this book, there is humor, mystery and danger and it keeps your attention from the first page. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
