This story enthralled me. I couldnt put it down nor stop thinking about it. It has a dystopian setting and forbidden love. A good combination. I seriously read faster and faster just waiting for the ax to fall. Assuming it would but never really knowing. All I want Is these two star crossed lovers to have a happy ending but it’s so impossible. Arg!!! Frustration!!

My thoughts and emotions ran a gambit while reading. Hope, irritation, scared, love/hate, frustration, and elation and anger are just to name a few. They were for the characters, the world and the situation. Speaking of characters they were all wonderful. Using terms like “lion” to describe the Sufferer really helped me to get a quick idea of his looks and disposition. The friendship between the girls was fun as well as her lovely family. Even the far off secondary characters added some insight and helpfulness. I need to mention them because even though they had little parts the author made their impact large.

This is a wonderful start for a debut book. The author created a world that makes you want to know about it. She invites you in and then dazzles you with characters you can hope for, dialogue you can *sigh* at an intricate society that engages your brain. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes dystopian stories with characters you can love.

I eagerly look forward to the next but sad it’s so far away….

This is a fitting end to the series. It’s is full of action, suspense and some crazy angel fun. At times it was a bit slow in the beginning but once we got half way it really got down to business. The story is the final battle between good and evil. Each trying to turn the other to their side. We see a lot of the same characters from the series and meet a few new ones. While I liked the newer characters it is the older ones are that kept me going. Seraphina, Nate and Jack have a love triangle that has expired for all but one of them. There is a lot of back and forth like a tug o war. But I still like and think of them back in the first book so it’s hard for me to dislike one of them now. I still root for Nate but Jack…you have that great smile and those glorious eyes.

I would highly recommend reading the series in order. There are many references made to previous book. Plus you get to see the characters grow and change as the story moves forward. This isn’t my favorite of the series. It is still a good and needed story to round everything out.

This is a good strong start to a interesting story. I was drawn in right from the prologue and it didn’t let go until the end. This is filled with action, suspense and wonderment. These four have quite an adventure ahead of them! I am excited to read the second in the series to find out what happens next.

This is my first book by this author. The story flowed and engaged nicely and had ups and downs. The characters were easy to identify with and seemed fun and they acquired some exciting powers. I can’t wait to see how they are able to use them in a real world scenario. I enjoy the identifying markers that make these four different. What can they do in the future?

I loved this book! I was so happy when I spotted it and couldn’t wait to get to it on my TBR. We meet up with the boys after “the incident” from the last book. This is Braeden’s story to tell and boy Oh boy it will keep you glued to this book. Prepare for late night reading. Braeden is somewhat questioning his path and trying to figure out answers and keep his home life afloat. How he balances everything is beyond me. Practice I guess. Jeff! Jeff! You impressed me immensely! I don’t want to say much but you are amazing! I was impressed with you in the last book and you just keep raising the bar! I had many emotions while reading this. I snickered, had a few tears, was worried and impressed. These two boys and (Maya) hold a special place in my heart. Being a teenager is hard enough…..

This is the second in the series and I was pleased to enjoy reading the continuing story of Jeff and Braeden. Life is not going to be easy but their strength of character is impressive. I wonder what will happen after the summer is over?

This story flows easily. I started this and struggled to put it down. I was thinking about these two even at work today. Trying to help them out with ideas. The characters are flawless and enjoyable to read about. Another stellar story by Deidre Huesmann.

Wowo! There is A LOT of stuff going on in this book. Make sure you bring your thinking caps. I was confused for about the first three chapters. Then is settled down and I could easily follow along. But about three-fourths of the way through a lot of stuff from the past started coming to light. Now I am not sure if some of these were touched on in the previous two books. If so, maybe I would have been able to make connections better.

We are following along on two different stories. One person is afraid of being killed while the other is looking for someone that went missing. They randomly meet and find out they know a bunch of the same people. Now I really liked Kiley. I would love to have even a small bit of her talent.

This book is full of intrigue, suspense and love. It is well written and the characters all are busy. There is a lot of activity and plots to follow so again…..bring your thinking cap.

Dancing Queen by Charlotte Roth
Rated 5 stars!

Dancing Queen is a true inspiration. The main character was very easy to identify with. Her thoughts and feelings could have been mine. With that being said it is interesting how this made me look at people differently. It’s easy to make a judgement on someone but it’s harder to make a friend of that person.

I love the relationship between the main characters. The whole cucumber thing…was great! I couldn’t help but *shiver* at the thought of the first one. Ugh! I really liked Fiona but Stu? He really was the my favorite. He has a great attitude and he always made me smile. His calorie counting was crazy! As for secondary characters Diane was the best! She is quirky and an amazing friend. That’s not to say I didn’t love Lizzie, Lance and the whole rest of the cast.

The writing is so very smooth. It was easy to get brought into the plight of Fiona and Stu. I loved watching them become friends. The author does a good job of making me think one way then changing my opinion later. I really enjoyed this story.

OMG!?! I can’t believe what has happened in this book. I went from shock to total devastation to WHAT?!?! This is one of those books that causes people to irritate me. ALL I want to do is sit and read this book and ignore the world until it’s finished.

This is a story that is FULL of Action, Suspense and Thrills like you CAN’T imagine! Non-Stop! It picked up exactly where the last one left off.(So snag books 1-3 and read those first). This book is pretty heavy there is not a lot of room for light heart. There are some moments but this really is all about ending the series and getting answers to burning questions. OH..and finding out who Lia chooses.

I have a special place in my heart for all these characters. They have led me through with tough times, love and laughter. I easily became emotional while reading this and have not recovered yet. I don’t want to let go of these characters. (Thank Goodness for re-reads)

I look forward to reading the Soccer Gods books!

This is a great book! I was drawn in from the beginning and it just didn’t let go! I love all the intrigue and suspense. This a quite a story!
My favorite character was Alex. He is silent and deadly. He is self assured in his abilities and I like that he doesn’t let law enforcement or others intimidate him. When they question him…if he doesn’t feel the question is relevant, he just doesn’t answer. No hemming or hawing or fidgeting around. Just a stare and silence. Dang! What that says about him! But the whole Mallory thing blows his mind and he isn’t sure what to do about it. He has never had someone like her before.
This is my first book by this author. I can see there are more of these to dive into. I enjoyed all the characters and the storyline. I can’t even imagine?!? It boggles my mind. This flowed nicely and I would read more of these heart stopping stories

This is a good story! I loved that Jess was an artist so that makes her a more open person and colorful. In contrast Jordan is all dark, bland and closed off. That’s why there are fireworks on the first couple meetings. So so different. But sometimes those two contrasts can compliment each other.

This is my first book by this author. To be honest i don’t usually read about millionaires /billionaires (they always want to buy everything) but i picked this up and I really enjoyed the story. It was different having a small child involved that was not a son/daughter. She is so sweet! The characters were interesting and I can not even imagine either of there childhoods. I really enjoyed the interaction between the two main characters. There was so much push and pull. As I get further in the book I can see why each of them feel that way. I loved that Jess was so talented. Again I can’t even imagine that talent. Jordan is actually a nice guy and I love what he does in the Epilogue. Did i laugh or cry while reading this? No but i did LOVE that first HUG between them! This is a story of strength, love, that pesky guilt..Oh and yummy ice cream!!

Alex was just different enough that he aroused my suspicions as do a couple other characters. Hopefully in the next book we will find out more about the Councilwoman and her lackey.

Another great book in this series! Pretty sure this is my new favorite in the series. This is well written, easy to follow along and has an amazing lead character. This story is interwoven very well. I spend as much time as Libby trying to figure things out.

Libby is a undeveloped sleuth with a passion for fashion. She does seem to attract trouble like a moth to a flame. But that’s what makes this so good and fun to read.
I really love how exuberant Libby is…well over most things but especially when she see James. She is so happy to see him and be enveloped in his arms for a Big Ol Hug. I can feel all her feelings coming off the pages at me. Her happy go lucky attitude makes me read this with a smile or a “Oh” on my face.

We see quite a few characters from her previous books. They all help or hinder Libby but to hang out with them is like coming home. Her family is wonderful. Her Dad and Mom are so funny just how her parents should be. I can see where Libby gets her attitude from. I loved how Zak referred to his mother and how he tried to convince Libby she was a real alien (Mothership) haha! Her family and friends all fit together perfectly.

This is my third book in this series and I can not wait for more.

The beginning was crazy good and sucked me in to their story much quicker. That is a good jump start into the story. This is full of two characters who each want to be together but for reason unknown one of them has a “should I or shouldn’t I” going on in the brain. I really enjoyed Mac and TR for different reasons. Mac for being the strong alpha guy! Fully muscled with tatts and a strong desire. TR comes off as weak a time or two but she really ramps up her indignation when provoked. She is also stronger than she gives herself credit.

A bright spot in the book is Chaos. He is as alpha as the others but he has a smart mouth too. Which he proves multiple time when egging on Mac about TR. The back and forth bantering between Chaos and TR really helped make this a lot of fun to read. I loved the conversation in the car…so funny!

While reading I feel like I have missed a portion of their lives. There are many many many references to other events where the two MCs have met in the past. I think those would have been a great prequel or something. It would give more to the hot and cold between them. On a side note..I read at the end of the book that there is a prequel to this so I would suggest reading that first. Mostly to get more of a *feel* of the relationship of the two MC.

This is a good start to a new series. It’s full of fun, hot sexy times and dangers. Many interesting characters that could lead to many places. I look forward to the next and to see what chaos TR causes in the office with the boys.

The story seemed nice. I liked the idea of her trying to keep the dream from her husband alive. This was slow moving and there is a lot of inner speculation. I enjoy reading a story with more dialogue and little less description and inner thoughts. I sadly spend some time skimming. We spent quite a bit of time getting to know Bijou. Her life, her family and her struggles. Wait…i don’t want to forget the tree… i liked that idea a lot. Not so much information on Noah. Unless he is in the other stories he was an enigma. I really struggled with how quickly the relationship of the two MC’s moved forward. It felt wrong to me. Maybe if he had showed up in the book sooner but he wasn’t a main fixture until she needed help. But then I guess that rules out the insta-love they shared. So maybe the timing was right.

Let’s talk kids. Claire was different. At times she was the annoying tween. Other times it’s like she was the adult. Even though Holder didn’t have many scenes..he was a cutie. The other secondaries were good but I felt Mara was over the top. Maybe if she was a single friend i could see her acting that way. Although at the end I loved what she did to the reporters.

So this is the fourth book in this series and it can be read as a stand alone. I have not read the previous stories and had no problem following the storyline.
The story was good and had a nice idea behind it. I easily moved right through it.

OMG!!! I floved this story! I was drawn in from the beginning and dang if I could hardly put this one down! So glad I have the kindle app on my phone. I was able to keep reading while out and about. Phew! Crisis averted!
Usually I am a fan of the male lead. In this story Karlie is my favorite. She is strong, sassy and confident. She knows what she wants and goes after it. Now saying that I will also say that Luke and Karlie together are adorable..like off the charts adorable!! Their back and forth is one of my favorite things they do. Oh and maybe how she twists him up and he does things for her he has never done before. So sweet!

Karlie is in a tough spot. Trying to change a mans mind about her or actually see her as she is..not as a little girl from his youth. That is why this is so good! She is so confident as she pulls different stunts on him saying…I’m a woman…see ME!! My personal enjoyment started near the beginning when Luke and Karlie meet up at the restaurant. Priceless! I loved being inside his head! It only get better from there!!

Secondary characters are all around in this book. Most are from the previous two stories ( which I have not read). They all add cute little elements to the story! The bantering between the girls is so cute! Many times is feel myself sitting here smiling while reading. The brothers enjoy doing all things to each other (ribbing, joking and sugaring up the young ones) that siblings have for eons. The parents and other family members make them see what is important in life and what isn’t.

I was sooo excited to see the on audio!! It is just as I imagined it would be and again I find myself smiling as I’m listening. It just puts me in a happy mood. It really makes time at the gym go a little faster when listening to something so good. Tiffany Williams does a wonderful job narrating. I have listened to her before and she is enjoyable. She was a good choice

This is my first story in this series and by this author. I loved both the story and the characters in here! If the other two are written along the same lines. I will gobble them up as well. This one will be placed on my reread book shelf. If you are reading this far and have made a decision yet? I highly recommend this if you want to fun in your romances.
Very enjoyable and well done!

This is a wonderful story! I loved it! I felt like I was on ups and downs throughout reading. I could hardly put it down and when I did?? I just ended up thinking about it all day! I liked the whole idea of this book. Michael is running for President alone. His campaign manager feels a “First Lady” will make him look better to pollers. What happens when feelings get involved and then change? How far will this go?

The characters in here are so large and compelling I didn’t even realize there are only a few in the book. Each one is amazing and wonderful (well Tom…is annoying) but when meshed together they flow so nicely to tell a story. Where I had hopes and dreams right along with them. I hoped for the couple and for the Election. I dreamt of Tom getting a smack down (hahaha) but in reality he is perfect for a campaign manager.

This is my first book by this author. I enjoy her writing style and I was immediately engaged with the story. Everything flowed nicely and I look forward to reading more from her.

This is an enjoyable read with some romance and mystery. The characters were fun and outgoing. Each of the MC have come down a hard road. Now that they are both back in the same town a little romance could be in their future. Especially if Rosie has anything to say about it. I zipped right through this with all the interesting side stories. It reads very smoothly. Trouble(cat) is a fun fixture. He figures out how to communicate well with the humans. He is a good add to the story. I enjoyed how he tried to get his point across.

This is my first book by this author. I throughly enjoyed meeting the characters and that cat! I have not read any others in the series so this can be read as a stand alone. I recommend this story if you are looking for a fun flirty read with a mystery.

Another outstanding book in the Bayou Devils Series! As per usual, this author made me smile, say WTF, and grin wistfully more than a few times. This author has the ability to really make me *feel* the characters plight. I actually felt sad or happy along with Noah. I was as frustrated as he was a couple times. Not just when someone interrupted me reading this book. 🙂 Noah drew me in with his confidence in his feelings and his ability to recognize his single mindedness for Kady. Kady is a star in her own right but Noah held my heart from the beginning and didn’t let go.

This is filled with some amazing secondary characters. Some we have met before others are new. I loved checking in on the rest of the Devils and their women. I was seeing them from a new perspective since Noah didn’t know some of them. I also want to give a “shout-out” to Hannah! What a wonderful friend! I don’t know many people who still have their BFF’s watching their back so many years later.

My only small issue so much time was spent on the relationship (building-rebuilding)that I felt the ending was rushed. The relationship between the MC’s was easily felt and understood early on but the few issues that these two were having were large and handled quickly near the end. It wasn’t a problem just an observation. I kept watching the page numbers thinking..”How are these issues going to be resolved before I run out of pages?” Not to worry it all got taken care of.

Well another *sweet* story is done with the Devils. I can’t wait to see who is going to get their girl next. I did notice in the back there are a couple more in this series coming this year! Woo Hoo! That makes me extremely happy. I do love these characters as well as the stories.

The beginning of this was awesome. I loved how the female lead was introduced. It was a different approach. It really makes someone think…could this easily happen to me? Then it turns out she has some of the same spark in her that moves Blade forward. I loved their pairing!

One of my favorite things happened in this book. There was a lot of time spent at the compound. So that means we get to see all the Brothers, O’l Lady’s and kids. I enjoy all the interactions they have along with incorporating the new gal and razzing the current club member. Blaze really took a heap this time. I was glad to see his spark fly a few times as well as his acceptance with the ribbing. I loved the addition of a certain character to the story. Tommy was an actual joy to read. He is a perfect add to this motley crew.

This isn’t my first Satan’s Devils story and it won’t be the last! I enjoy how this author brings me into the lives of this crew. She brings the characters to life through her storytelling. It’s very easy to read and follow along. While this could be read as a stand alone I enjoyed reading and meeting these characters as we go along.

This started off great a trauma, mystery then possible romance. I enjoyed the characters and it was easy to get into their story. It was near the end that it started to skip around and become rushed. Maybe even the last two chapters could have been an epilogue which would help some. Other than that It actually was a lovely story. I can’t even imagine the world the male MC lives in. Billionaire!? Wow! I didn’t care for him at first because of his attitude about the price of things. He got a little looser as the story moved forward. The female MC seemed legit. A therapist who works with horses and children. So cool!
The secondary characters were different. The brothers, the parents, the child, and the bodyguards all had different personas. From raging mad to aggravatingly polite. Some of these were useful to the story…others not so much.
Overall it’s a good story. It was easy to follow along and the characters were interesting.

I really was captivated with this story. I picked it up because I enjoy reading this authors stories. She is always able to draw me into the plight of the character and makes the story engaging within the first couple pages. This one was no exception. I was thrilled on how she introduced this large cast to us. It was easy going and one or two at a time. I was easily able to keep track. I enjoyed the story although there was a bit too many sexy times for me. I felt the story was strong enough that it didn’t need quite so much. I was still drawn to the characters and storyline. They were interesting, smart and clever. I loved the trials! It gives a good look into the princess’s strength of character.

While I am not a fan of cliffhangers I don’t really look at this as one. The main story of this book concluded and another line of the story is starting up. So I don’t feel frustration and disappointment like I do with an abrupt shocker of an ending. I just am looking forward to the next part of the story.
March can’t come fast enough!
…..and that cover? Very seductive!

At first this is a little slow. I noticed it in the last book as well. Please don’t let deter you from this….keep reading….don’t give up. It really drew me in and I wanted….no needed to know what was going to happen. It just seems there is a lot of detail (to the houses, trees and such) that I don’t really need but others might enjoy. I just want to get to the story. The talking, the feelings and the action!

Meeting Thayer…he has lived his life always thinking one way….whichever way his maker says. Once Annie enters his life he finally starts thinking along a different line. His growth through this story was wonderful. I enjoyed this guy as a character.

We met Annie in the last book and this is her story. How she came to be with Millicent and Alexandre. I am saddened by her and Alexandre’s relationship. I would have thought after 200 plus years they would have gained a camaraderie. As for Millicent I would not have realized the close friendship they had if I had not read book 1. They seemed more distant in this one. Benjamin…well I about had tears in my eyes when Annie went to visit him. Good friends are hard to find.

I highly recommend reading Deepest Midnight (Book 1) before reading this. It gives you a better idea why things are the way they are in this one. As for the ending….What the Heck? I didn’t see that coming and can’t even imagine what the next book will be about. Crazy!

I loved this the further along it got! It’s a bit slow at first but picks up and moves right along so don’t give up! After reading the last book I couldn’t wait for this one. I was curious where the author would take the story. We follow Jon who is but isn’t a vampire. He has many struggles, as the book moves forward, other than the obvious. He stumbles across another hybrid one evening. There are many surprises once he tracks down this hybrid. I have to say even I didn’t see them all coming. The author did a wonderful job not giving out too much information…so I couldn’t figure out all the secrets.

I still enjoy the camaraderie between the group of hybrids. Glad they came together and all *mostly* get along. Each has their own quirkiness and irritations. All the time spent with the whole crew is always enlightening and fun, usually some of my favorite times in the books and always makes me smile.

I can’t wait for the next book! I am wanting to find out more about Shaul, Dax, even Roman. Wait I forgot one…Kaj! These guys all will have amazing stories and I can’t wait to find what makes them tick. Next please!

This is a story ripped from the headlines. Tragedy, shock and disbelief are what encompasses these characters. Figuring out how to move forward Is their new focus. This story enthralled me. The characters were a breath of fresh air and seemed very real. We are introduced to two families. They each get their own turn to tell their story. But The third section of the story is what I enjoyed the most. There is stress and sadness and a few OMGosh moments but there is also smiling, laughing and love. This story gave me chills and tears numerous times. But that’s what made me love it all the more! This author was able to convey, through her writing, all of the emotions and thoughts that these two (and their families) went through. I felt their turmoil and all the highs right along with them. OMG… that ending is so wonderful! I absolutely loved the way everything rounded out and again…..chills!

This is not my first book by this author but it is (in my opinion) her best work! It’s a hard story to tell but she was able to do it with class and style. I love it when a title fits the story and this one is perfection. Well done!

This is an amazingly good story. It has many highs and lows. I was able to easily follow along and feel the anguish/pain and love of the characters. Hawk and Charlotte each thought they would be alone the rest of their lives because of their pasts. Little did they know all it took was one look and they were already living for their future. This is a story through the years for two with an emphasis on Charlotte’s life and love. I ached for Charlotte as her story started to unfold. The horrors are forever. Will the love of a good man be able to erase her past?

This is my first book by this author. I liked the characters. Hawk can be very expressive and I could feel his feelings near the end of the book. I enjoyed the title and how it’s used in this story.

While this was a nice story idea I didn’t love it like I was expecting. This story had too much inner diatribe for me. Rehashing some things over and over. That’s a bit too much for me. I like conversations between people….not so much page after page describing thoughts, reasons and issues. Granted some are needed to get the feel of things. I enjoy forward movement to be a bit faster.

I really loved the few extra characters we met. Some made me smile, others made me angry and a few I hope for future stories. The pre dinner “entertainment” was excellent! I haven’t smiled while reading for a while! I even popped out a laugh or two!

Overall I enjoyed the idea of the story and sometimes couldn’t wait to get back to it. A couple times I cringed at Michael thinking he was going to do something I didn’t want him to do. I liked both of the MC’s and hope to see more of them in future stories.

I was so excited to see this! I loved the first two in the series and couldn’t wait to see if Cam or Luc got a story! My prayers have been answered and this is Lucas’ (Luc). It is a best friend to lovers and add the component of a single dad in there. Kids always make things different and this is no exception. This one is told from Lucas’ POV. He isn’t as harsh as Dean was in his book. I’m guessing it’s because the Dad in him mellowed everything out a bit. There are many great moments and it was nice seeing Cori, Dean and Cam again. Cam was such a little instigator. He is fun and full of wit. I enjoyed what he called Lucas’ ex-wife!! So funny! What a great friend!
A couple of my favorite lines from the story:

“Men might wear the pants but the women control the zipper”

“We are all imperfectly perfect and beauty begins within”

When I started Chapter 38 I couldn’t help the smile that came over my face. Now don’t skip ahead but just know what is waiting for you when you get there.

I enjoy reading Mika Jolie’s stories. She is a one-click author for me. With that being said I didn’t love this as much as Dean/Cori’s, at least until the ending. That ending was wonderful! At times I could see the connection these two have. Looking back…overall it’s a great addition to the series and I eagerly look for the next book. Or really any book by this author :-).

If you like reading stories that are full of alphabets this one is for you. What does she mean? Well FBI, CIA, MISix for a few. That leads to multiple characters working or knowing someone who works in one or more of these. This one is a story that involves all the characters we met in the last book as well as a few new ones. There is a lot of activity and some downtime for the couples. This doesn’t really follow one couple. It follows more of a group. This is a little difficult at times. Too many people and too many secret/not secret titles. It can be confusing to read trying to follow each character, what group they are associated with, what qualifications they have and why/how they are attached to the rest. I liked the beginning but once they got to the house I was overwhelmed with characters and credentials. I made a list to try to keep track. There is some humor and briefly crazy sexy times. The connection between some of the characters was good. Hope seems to be a handful and I’m pretty sure she will get her way on her future. Anyway this is an ok read for me. I had too many struggles to be interested to read more stories.

Wow I really had to step away for a moment after finishing this book. My emotions were all over the place. In fact while reading I ran through some crazy feelings. This is an amazing book that has many front facing features. I assumed it was about storm chasers (which it is) but there are other sides that come forward that had me whirling around trying to figure them out. I loved the idea of this book. It’s about the ultimate thrill that is crazy and scary as heck. Not everyone can or should do it.

What did I love about this? Besides everything?? Here are some specifics. The way the author referred to clouds and tornadoes as a child in the womb and then being born. Taking its first wobbly step as it gains confidence. Crazy how that is so true! The t-shirts that the MC wears. Such attention to detail…I loved it. The relationships that were built, the MC was smart and knowledgeable with a side of sassy, and her dog!!! For Pete’s sake I almost forgot Nimbus! He is a wonderful side character!

I literally could not put this book down. It opens with a bang and keeps going all the way through. This is not my first Kimberly Packard book and it won’t be the last. She know how to weave a story and write strong yet comfortable characters. If you want a thrill ride with attachment to the characters? Pick this one up!

Deepest Midnight: Book 1 of the Immortal Kindred Series

This is a story of vampires or immortals. I was glad to pick this up because it’s been a bit since I was able to indulge myself. I was a bit shocked over this story. It was not what I expected it to be. It starts off at a nice pace as we are Introduced to the characters. We meet a few humans and then everything goes haywire. Half way through there is A lot of memory sharing and inner thinking. I got a bit bored at that point. Millicent is Way overthinking the situation (I know she is a different vampire but still) It picks back up near the end for a smashing conclusion.

Vampires are my second fav paranormal story. So I have read a lot. I felt this had a some holes in it. With them being together for 240 years I would think they would know a lot more about vampires than what was led to believe. I enjoyed the story of how Alexandre enticed Millicent to him. The relationship with the human and between the 3 vampires were lovely adds to the story. Overall this is a short look into the current life of a few vamps with some flashbacks to help explain a few things. I enjoyed the explanation of the title. Very interesting and perfect! I liked this…yes i had a few issues but it is a good story and held my interest. I read it fairly quickly and the story did move along nicely. This is my first time reading this author. I am giving her second book in the series a read.

This is a crazy, crazy story with a multitude of characters. They range from sweet and funny to strange and haunting. There were many that have a hard edge to them that comes out at weird times. The story was a bit strange at first then got moving right along. When she first met her neighbor and the car salesman I thought this was going to be great. These two quirky characters were going to set the tone for the book. They did in a way but I got a bit bored with all the life stories once she joined a club. I know..I know they served a purpose but they just didn’t do it for me. One or two to set the tone would have been fine.

This is my second Alex Bailey book. I liked the idea of the story but the delivery of a few things were tedious. Ben and Daniel were my two favorite characters. I loved Ben’s tenacity over Ann stubbornness. Daniel was just a fun creative guy. What a weird little town and club this was.
