A Bride for Noah (Brides of Broken Arrow) by Cheryl Wright – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

A Bride for Noah (Brides of Broken Arrow #1)A Bride for Noah by Cheryl Wright
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a new author to me and I so enjoyed this story of Noah and Mary. Both Noah and Mary were brought together over chance taken, especially for Noah or he could lose the land that was promised by his father upon his passing. When Mary is approached by a proxy marriage, she takes the chance and ends up at Broken Arrow Ranch. My heart just truly ached for Mary, the way she grew up and the pain she endured living with her father. I am so happy she jumped at the chance and hope for a better life in this story. Will Mary and Noah find that there is love for each other at then end of their “contract”.

This book just makes you feel good at the possibility of love, hope and a chance for something better. I am looking forward to reading more in this series.

Doctor D’s Orderly Affair (Doctors of Eastport General) by C.A. King – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

Doctor D's Orderly AffairDoctor D’s Orderly Affair by C.A. King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Enjoyed romance that was fast paced. Desmond and Emily……the characters were fantastic. Emily is strong, driven, determined and focused as she is an orderly at the hospital working on her nursing degree. Desmond, who really got my heart strings, a great and caring pediatric doctor who is all about his patients…but has a reputation with the ladies….. One night out for Emily to “let loose” she ends up meeting Doctor D in the flesh…. Lots of sizzle and spark between then and I loved every minute. The only complaint I have on this book is that I want more!!! Yes, I am being selfish but would love more of Desmond and Emily’s story to unfold.

Great quick read and highly recommended!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I really enjoyed this story of Gina and Bryce. They way they initially meet totally made me chuckle especially over a misunderstanding. My heart really ached at times for Gina, what she had to endure and the walls that she had around her heart and rightfully so. Bryce is hardworking arson investigator and I loved his banter trying to get to know Gina. There are sparks, sizzle, secrets but also moments that just capture you….Bryce trying to break Gina’s walls down and the trauma. Overall I really loved Gina and Bryce’s story and I highly recommend this book!

Journeys Through Collection: Volumes 1-3 by James Talisman – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

Journeys Through Collection: Volume 1-3Journeys Through Collection: Volume 1-3 by James Talisman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Are you looking for a box set that is scifi fantasy and full of adventure? Say no more, definitely check out this box set!! The covers of these books are beautiful too and really catch my eye. Sci Fi is not my normal genre to read, but I decided to branch out and give this a try and I am very thankful and happy that I did!

First off I really just commend the author for adding a Character List at the beginning of the book as this was very helpful in book 1 of Journeys Through Spacetime. There are many characters with different POVs and so much detail, this really made me think I wanted to be part of this story in the book. I love the action, adventure, mixed with betrayal all wrapped into this book. The author did such a fantastic job on details and having different worlds revolving around all the characters.

For book 2 I definitely recommend reading book 1 first before reading this book, but the story is truly fantastic. Book 2 picks up where book 1 leaves. You really get more in detail the stories of the characters and their agendas. I feel like I was along side with Matt, Julia and Dan as they embark on quite a journey. Truly Wonderful story and i enjoyed the adventure and mystery.

The author has really done a fantastic job with just layers of characters and story-line for this epic adventure. I would definitely recommend reading the books in order and just cozy up tremendous read! Highly recommended

The Bear at Midnight (Orkneyinga Murders #4)The Bear at Midnight by Lexie Conyngham
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book I have read from this author and I found this story to be very interesting. The story is mystery crime/murder and there are quite the characters of trying to figure out who killed a Viking Leader and some. The author did a great job with the twists, turns and details as the story took placed in Scotland.

I must admit, this book took a hold of me and now I am definitely going to circle back and start from the beginning of the series for sure. Very good historical murder mystery!!

Yes Yes Yes!!! This book is just totally fabulous! I was already intrigued by the cover and the story just takes off. The story is paranormal fantasy romance but can I just say I loved having something new of Webmakers? The story really pulls you in……Aranha is a shifter and I really loved her character. She is more like a hero in a sense, preys on bad people who do bad things. She meets Dag, and loved that he is a DayWalker and he is immediately drawn to Aranha. Dag feels like Aranha can help him find out what the vampires are up to…as the feeling is they are up to something not good.

This story is quite amazing and I truly loved it. The characters had me totally drawn to them and the story for me flowed. Totally worth the read!!

Wildcat: A Steamy Firefighter Romance by Carina Alyce – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

Wildcat (MetroGen After Hours, #1)Wildcat by Carina Alyce
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this steamy sports romance that gets you hooked from the first page. This is a new author to me and I will definitely be reading more of this series for sure!

When you meet Leslie, she is all about being a firefighter and lots of sass. She meets Trevor and everything changes. At first just one night leads to Trevor wanting more and I loved that Trevor was also very devoted and focused on being great in the NFL. At first, I was not sure about Leslie, because of how she came across to the point of being downright rude, but the more I read this book, I saw why she came across stubborn, rude but also passionate about being a firefighter. I loved Trevor’s character and just his love for Leslie and his love for his football team as well with his drive and focus on winning.

This is a fantastic read and I highly recommend this book!

I love a book that you are new to the author and you fall in love with the first book you read and are already hooked! This story has different elements….. family, suspense, mystery, fame, family but with a twist of paranormal wrapped in. Bella and Miles run a Music business and are very successful along with raising their family. Love is tested in this story…and we learn Miles also has a “gift” that is also passed down to their children. Can Miles and Bella’s love survive? Definitely read to find out.

I know I definitely want to go back now and read the series from the beginning. What a great book!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Swoon worthy read. I love curling up to a second chance sports romance that is full of sizzle but also had some definite laugh out loud moments. Brynn is a photographer who needs a fresh start and lands in Astoria Bay. Levi is the captain of the hockey team that never forgot his first love. When a chance encounter pull them together can Levi and Brynn hash out old feelings on a summer love long ago and rekindle what was?

I love this story from beginning to end. If you are a romance lover like me you definitely will not be disappointed. The story just flows so easily and this book was hard to put down. I also loved Brynn’s best friend, Via. She totally made me laugh and love her wit! Highly recommended!

Sinful Vow (Dark Mafia Sins, #0.5)Sinful Vow by Emily Bowie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love curling up to a great mafia, dark romance and this was a perfect read. Right from the beginning I was entranced with the dual POV of Aly and Luca. Two rival mafia families and forbidden chemistry make this story sizzle. Luca is intriguing, protective, alpha and part of the Rossi family. Aly is smart and strong and part of the Mancini family. When they meet, you can just feel Luca’s presence in protecting Aly, even though she is from a rival mafia family. Things turn when Aly has an arranged marriage by her father and Luca was not having none of that to the point the families were about to have a war over it. I loved the action, twists, turns and steamy chemistry between Luca and Aly!

Slick Running (Satan’s Devils MC #3) AUDIO BOOK by Manda Mellett – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

This story definitely did not disappoint! I love Slick and Ella’s story so much. Yes, it is truly at times a total gut punch…and there are topics that can be very sensitive…but there is so much to this story.

Slick totally oozes alpha confidence being part of the Satans Devils MC. When he meets Ella…this changes. Ella’s story….. just tore at me. She was tasked to help Slick and the MC a favor that turned into something darker that Ella had to endure.

When the MC suffer a loss…and Ella asking for Slick’s help about her sister….will Slick and Ella find their way back to each other? Definitely listen and find out!

This was a fantastic listen and the narrators were perfect for this book. Highly recommend

I loved this book so much but it also really got me emotionally. I love this author’s writing and I am in love this this series! You meet Elsa and Anton in book 1 so when book 2 came out I was so excited and once I started reading I could not put the book down until the very end.

Elsa and Anton’s love story is perfectly beautiful..or so you think. Their relationship is truly put through the emotional trial of a roller-coaster. They have ups and down and the downs were just heartbreaking and a punch to the gut. Will their love survive even the darkest of days? You definitely should read this book to find out. I cannot say enough and I do not want to give any spoilers away but in the end I was truly rooting for Elsa and Anton and their love story. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 stars

Beautiful story but yet parts were heartbreaking. Losing a spouse is unimaginable, and that is what happens with Lizbeth. When she picks up the broken pieces to what she thought she knew, she in turn goes back to roots. Lizbeth’s story of her past and wanting to know more of her own family, history and heritage really grabbed my attention to keep reading. This story is very well written and full of about family, history and secrets. The author did a great job in details where the story takes place. Looking forward to reading more books from this author!

Jared, a rock star, wants nothing more to make sure his father is taken care of. Madison is a caring and compassionate caregiver to Jared’s father. At first, when Jared and Madison meet, there is some friction. When you read more into the story there is so much more!! Such a great story! Following Tally and Jophiel from book 1 in India and now book 2 the next adventure is in the Yukon in Canada. I loved how the Tally and her dad become “mushers” and learn a new experience. When they trek on their own after learning the ropes of dog sledding, they seem to become lost and are in a village that is “cursed”. When Tally’s dad is hurt, she needs to find a way to get her dad to a doctor for treatment while trying to help break this curse that the village has. I love Tally’s character as she is curious but brave. Mystery, intrigue, gold hungry characters, mythical beings and just quite an adventure all wrapped into a great read! I cannot wait to book 3!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 What a debut novel! This story really sticks with you…even after finishing the book, I have so many thoughts. This story follows Becca, Sandra and Faith and for each of these young women from their different backgrounds in upbringing to what happens when they find out of an unplanned pregnancy. Getting to know each character and what they endured really grabbed me from the get go and I wanted to comfort them, the struggles they had emotionally and mentally never to hold their baby nor know even the gender. Years later, someone wants to “expose” Becca, Sandra and Faith for giving up their baby, as each of them go their separate ways but yet have this sisterhood of what they shared. There is plenty of heartbreaking decisions, deceit, tears and at the end healing when it comes to this story. I recommend this book highly.

Fall to PiecesFall to Pieces by Becky Flade
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Great book! As this story unfolds it was hard for me to put down. Lexi is a detective who is haunted by her past about her late husband while being a strong detective with an attitude. Xavier is sent in to “investigate” more about Lexi and if she is truly fit to be a detective. When Lexi and Xavier are partnered together, their first case is a child homicide. This already started my heart racing. Something about the homicide is clean and precise and Lexi’s #1 suspect is Author Book. She truly believes he was involved with a previous case and now he just torments her like he did with her late husband. Xavier, is not attached to anyone, no friends, no family. Xavier is to investigate Lexi, but also ends up investigating Author Book as well. Both characters really pull at my heart. Lexi is strong willed and full of attitude, but really haunted by her demons. Xavier hold secrets of his own. Will Xavier and Lexi learn to work together and solve the homicide of a child?

This story really pulls you in from beginning to end. If you love murder mystery, crime, suspense and some romance..this book is a great read! Highly recommended!

First, I think the cover of the book is stunning! The story was very good and full of magic, mystery and one wild ride with a sword. Charm collector Harlow is all about finding items and sell them off. When Harlow’s “eye” finds a beautiful sword that is when the story takes off. Nothing like believing you have the person to buy the sword but the sword itself has a mind of its own. After being blamed for crimes she tries to find out what the sword is truly trying to bring. Mix in action, adventure, crime ……. This story was fun to read.
