Ouroboros (Antipodes #3)Ouroboros by T.S. Simons
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the 3rd installment of this series, and wow, what can I say but 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. I love YA dystopian reads and hands down this is one of my favorite series’ to date. Twists, turns, drama and romance all rolled up in one. Cam’s character is really coming into his own and friendships are truly tested. I can feel connected to these characters and I would HIGHLY recommend reading this book.

I am so enjoying this series, and the 2nd book does not disappoint. I love YA Dystopia books and this is no different. As Cam continues his journey and he finally settles down in Lewis. His character really grows in this 2nd installment of this series for sure. Going from the past to the present, would you truly start over? There are questions no doubt as would I, would I start over? This book is just full of emotion for me and hard to put down.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love lycans and vampire stories and this book is up my alley and just fantastic!!! Levi and Tasha are sworn enemies, or they should be, but fate brought them together. I loved the chemistry and their love for each other even when they had to be careful since being together is totally forbidden. Together to defeat common enemy and that Coven leader…….screaming in my head I wanted myself to protect Levi and Tasha….. What a great book and totally page turner!! Definitely definitely recommended!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

You ever read a book that when its done you want to fling your kindle because you are emotional and all in with the characters. This book………yes I wanted to fling my kindle but in a loving way but yet want to sit in silence in thought. This book, I dont think I can say enough. Hands down one of my favorite reads ever……..I am sitting here and I just cannot stop thinking about the story. Milana and Dane and their love and passion for each other. Milana leaves thinking it was for the best for her future and leave a heart broken Dane. When Milana comes back after some bad things going down, they try and rekindle and obliviously have a love/hate going on. If you love dark mafia, romance, suspense and mystery this book is for you. Next Door to a StarNext Door to a Star by Krysten Lindsay Hager
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Anyone who knows me knows I love a great YA book and this is no exception. This book brings back some high school feelings even though I have been out for so many years. Trying to find where you fit in and belong when your best friend moves away. Hadley goes and stays with her grand parents for the summer and meets new friends. You truly find out whom your “true” friends are. As a teenager you want to be in the “in crowd” and belong but sometimes you have to see what true friendship is. This book was a fun read and a great YA book.

First, We Kill All the Lawyers (Donovan Trait Series) by Seelie Kay – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

First, We Kill All the LawyersFirst, We Kill All the Lawyers by Seelie Kay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a fun book to read and quite surprising. I just love Vampire Lawyer Donovan Trait and his “air” about him how he comes across in the courtroom. Then there is this suspense on whom is starting to kill lawyers including Donovan (or they are trying). The book has some twists on the mindset on whom is responsible and I love every word of this book. I also loved the sweet romance between Donovan and Shirley (whom is a judge). I am really hoping for another book in this series by the author. This book is a great read.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was not sure what to expect at first when I started reading this book. I was pleasantly surprised, this book is really good! If anyone knows me, they know I love YA books. I really enjoyed this YA/Sci Fi story. To me, it is a story I never read anything like before. Meeting Andy Brand at the beginning just has my heart. Andy is kidnapped and questions arise as to why? Who would kidnap a boy in high school? You learn quickly nothing is as it seams, and there is definitely many twists, lies and turns in this story. He wants to protect “Kind” and help others, you read to see what happens next. Very good read…..

Stepping Stone (The Stone Series Volume 2) AUDIO BOOK by Dakota Willink – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

This is a great continuation of this series no doubt. The love and passion between Alexander and Krystina is undeniable. Alexander gives into Krystina more and takes the next step into who his family is and why he is what he is today. I love getting to know the characters even more as the story continues. I really enjoyed the story and looking forward to the next audiobook

The Don (Her Three Immortals Book 1) by Hazel Storm – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

The DonThe Don by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

How far would you go to save a loved one? Would you sign a contract with The Don of the Underworld as a Life for a Life? This book definitely has its steamy moments but there is also a mystery as well to it. This story of Vanessa, whom meets Grey, Raef and Aroz. No doubt they find beauty in Vanessa and she is mortal. Vanessa’s brother, Piper, is sick and all she wants is her brother to live and be healthy, would she make a deal in order for her brother to live? Raef wants to help with a more natural approach but when Vanessa finds out the powers that Grey has….hmmm….Then we have Aroz, I cannot want to find out what he has in store as well. I believe all 3 men are hot as sin no doubt. I am so on Team Raef. I cannot wait to read the other books in the series to find out what happens next. This book for me was hard to put down!!

Turning Wheels (Satan’s Devils MC #1) by Manda Mellett – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

Turning Wheels (Satan's Devils MC, #1)Turning Wheels by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It has been quite a long time since I read a MC book, and this book was fabulous. I was totally sucked in from the beginning to the end. My heart really went out to Sophie and the story of why she ended up with a horrifying physical injury. You wonder what kind of monster would intentionally try and harm another human being, I could never imagine. Then we have Wraith, what can I say but wow holy hotness. I believe Sophie really took him by storm. Sophie needed protection the most as someone is out to get her. Horse and Cut (other characters) are there to rescue Sophie from a threat and they take her a MC in Arizona where she meets the gang including Wraith. One of my favorite characters as well in the story is Peg, just made me laugh and also a protector. I believe Wraith and Sophie together is pure hotness. If you like a MC story with mystery and pure hot moments, this book is definitely for you. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Heart of Stone (The Stone Series Volume 1) AUDIO BOOK by Dakota Willink – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

This audiobook is so intense…no doubt many hot moments as well. When Alexander bumps into Krystina there are sparks no doubt. This story not only has intense, hot moments but there is definite past traumatic times for both Alexander and Krystina. The dominate side of Alexander is hot! At first I was a bit annoyed at Krystina’s character. I found her a little bratty and immature even though she is a very strong and independent woman. I change my thought on that by the end of the story and you find out why. I see why she didn’t want to lose herself or her independence. Great audio and looking forward to finding out what happens in the next book.

Jaxon and Kayla, the love, loss and secrets they both had. When Kayla finally get away from a very abusive boyfriend, Roy, finding Jaxon again was perfect. I love Jaxon and his love for Kayla. When secrets come out on Kayla’s brother, Kieran and his death, all while to try and hide from Kayla’s abusive ex-boyfriend, can love survive? You definitely should read this book and find out. This book is a definite page turner and hard to put down, I wanted to keep reading to find out what would happen next.

Yes!!! This book was fantastic. After reading book 1 I could not wait to read the 2nd book to this series, and boy it did NOT disappoint. I am loving the hot vibe between Millicent and Sheridan. Book 2 has Millicent being “stalked” by a hellhound and no doubt a creepy doll. Can I just say, nope no way when it comes to creepy dolls! We learn the reason why Millicent is being stalked and who is behind this mystery. I also love that we still have other characters in this book and you also meet Sheridan’s parents. I am ALL about this series with demons, witches, a nix, shifters, a fallen angel and we eventually get to meet a fairy. So looking forward to starting book 3!

Patience dealing with an abusive husband and Duke trying to win her trust back, with a secret of his own, when he returns from the Marines. This book was so emotional and heart breaking. I was cheering Patience and Duke on to have their happy ending.

When Cy and Jolie are together lots sparks and heat, which I love!! There is some suspense & mystery as well in this book. Cannot wait to read more books in this series.

Wow….wow…wow, this story. Definitely a very good read. Chase and Allegra the chemistry no doubt is undeniable. Chase, leader of large organized crime family, at first I really loved his bad boy persona. I also admired Allegra’s strong character going to school to better herself in law. Then something happens that Chase loses his trust and Allegra betrays him. Chase is totally ruthless, but Allegra cannot stay away. Their relationship makes me want to shake them both! It is very intense for sure. This book is very good read and I recommend if you like bad boy, dark mafia books.

My heart really ached for Emily, whom was caught in the middle between her step brothers financial debt, a bet in which he loses and the people whom try and tear her and the Earl of Lenbridge (Phillip Beckley Benton) apart. I know that the Earl of Lenbridge really loves Emily deep down and I am glad he won against Emily’s step brother. There is some mystery as well to this story. I very much enjoyed this book! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was very interesting and a good read. I really enjoyed the paranormal romance with time travel and mystery. Caitlin is an archaeologist finds Ciaran, whom is a priest that is over 1500 years old. Who is Ciaran and why was he buried? The story does go from present to past, and I liked that and it was easy to read and I loved the time travel element. I loved Ciaran’s character, but Caitlin was a bit to strong for me. I cannot wait to see how the story continues.

Can I just say, I loved this book. There are so many twists, turns and murder mystery. My heart breaks for Logan, whom loses his sister, Andi, by murder and drowns himself in alcohol. Everything changes when Logan blames Angel for not preventing Andi’s murder and not coming forward with the events that takes place and Logan hits Angel with his car. Was it an accident or attempted murder? I also love that it ties in book one characters of Scott and Zelda. This is a great read if you love mystery, secrets and ghosts. Nikki Lynn Barrett is truly becoming one of my favorite authors <3.

Very good read. Andy is half human and half fairy, and the story goes between caring for her dying mother and going back to her childhood days. Parts of the story were hard to follow for me when going back and forth, but overall, the story flowed all together. My heart goes out to Andy as she deals with many loses in her life. This story is magical and a good read relaxing day.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Loved this paranormal romance!!!!!! This story flowed so well and the Zayed men…….hot hot hot!! Lillie’s character is very strong willed and holds no punches, my type of girl :). When Lillie meets the Zayed, who helped her when she was in need, all that she knew of them was totally opposite to how she feels about them. The story has romance, action, some mystery on who the Zayed really are and where do they come from. I cannot say enough of this book and give the story away, but this book is fantastic and I cannot wait to read Part 2!!!!

Wow, I was very surprised of how much I really loved this book. It made me think to present day as we are dealing with the COVID19 pandemic and this story is a long the lines of a epidemic that had a deadly outbreak in the water. The main character, Cam, really pulled at my heart strings, making the ultimate decision to leave this family to continue to live off of an island that had to be self sustaining. The emotions on his grief leaving his family, I could not imagine having to make that decision. Living among a selection of other people and building this new “world” that is self sustaining is intriguing. There is so much to this story and I am looking forward to continuing the series to see what happens next.
