Forbidden MateForbidden Mate by C.R. Robertson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wooohoooooo!! Love Love Loved this book. I continue to love these characters and I love a story with lycans, vampires and witches. I recommend reading book 1 before reading book 2. Tasha and Levi, whom should be sworn enemies, but fate has a different outlook and are mates. There are new characters and demon hellspawn to deal with. It is hard not to give any spoilers away, but also Coven Leader Castus character, he is pure evil. If you love paranormal with mystery, love and secrets this book is for you.

Journeys Through TimeSpace (Journeys Through Book 2) by James Talisman – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

Journeys Through TimeSpaceJourneys Through TimeSpace by James Talisman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Journeys Through TimeSpace is book 2 of this series and boy oh boy it does NOT disappoint!!!!! I definitely recommend reading book 1 first before reading this book, but the story is truly fantastic. While SCI FI is not my typical genre, reading these books made me fell in love with the genre when a story is so fantastic as this one. Book 2 picks up where book 1 leaves. You really get more in detail the stories of the characters and their agendas. I feel like I was along side with Matt, Julia and Dan as they embark on quite a journey. Truly Wonderful story and i enjoyed the adventure and mystery. Thank you Author James Talisman.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When it comes to Sci Fi genre, this is not my normal genre of book I typically read but I am so glad I did read this book. Cole Westbay has to find out what happened to him when he wakes up one day bloody. Everyone in the story must be micro-chipped; and when this event happened, his chip was removed, memories lost. Cole is the developer of this micro-chip and now with his chip removed, he must piece back together who would do this and why. This is a complex story but very well written. I couldn’t imagine a world where people are required to be micro-chipped to do anything. But I feel like this would be in our reality one day for sure. Very well done Author Hieronymus Hawkes.

Dating the InternDating the Intern by Natalina Reis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was so much fun to read. Something light is just what I needed to read and this was perfect. Ivory is a successful business woman that owns her own online dating company. She helps find love for everyone else whom become her clients except for herself. Li Qiang is one of the interns at Ivory’s company and 10 years younger in age. When a TV station would like to feature Ivory and her company and get to know her on a more personal level with her “boyfriend” there is one issue….Ivory does not have a boyfriend. In comes Li Qiang to the rescue. Can they pull off their fake “relationship” or does it turn into something truly real? I loved this book…definitely worth the read!

Ride For Me (The North Shore Crew Book 1) by Vi Summers – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

Ride For Me (North Shore Crew Series, Book 1)Ride For Me by Vi Summers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fantastic book!! This is my first book reading from Author Vi Summers but definitely will not be my last! I loved this dual POV story of Lil and Gage. When they first meet there is instant sparks and they are drawn to each other. There are dark moments, especially in Gage’s past. He holds back and has not gotten close to anyone in a few years. When you finally find out what Gage went through in his past and what happened….my heart just ached for his character. I loved Lil’s character, strong, bold and wont change for anyone. She has a bumpy past too, with an ex-fiancee that was not who he seemed to be. When Lil get this feeling of being “watched” and eventually kidnapped, Gage will go to the ends of the earth to save Lil. I was at the edge of my seat especially finding out who this mystery person was. This is a great story full of love, loss and suspense. I cannot wait to continue this series. Fantastic read!!

Boy, Book 2 did not disappoint!! I love this book and series! Definitely read book 1 before diving into book 2. Lucy’s father, Jude, wants Lucy to train with him so she can use her demon powers. In the story, Lucy just wants to be with Marcus, but Marcus’ mother has other plans and would like Marcus to join their gargoyle clan. I LOVED this book!! I love a good YA/paranormal book and I was hooked. I really enjoyed the different kinds of paranormal used in this story of demons, witches and gargoyles. When Lucy’s mother passes away, she has to go live in Chicago with her uncles. Lucy learns then she is half witch and half demon and her life turned upside down and only the beginning. Add in some twists and turns that also include a love triangle between Lucy, Dylan and Marcus. I also love a strong female character and most definitely Lucy was!! I thought this book was fabulous.

Sweet Nightmares (The Dream World Chronicles Book 1) by Chynna Pace – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

Sweet Nightmares (The Dream World Chronicles #1)Sweet Nightmares by Chynna Pace
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is a good read. At first, it was a little slow for me, but as soon as the story started coming together and the pieces started to fall into place, I was intrigued. When Alex and Zoey’s mother passes unexpectedly, they both end up having to go live with their grandmother, Matilda. When they arrive they also meet Kacper, whom Matilda took under her wing when his parents passed in an accident. Matilda and Kacper are secretive. Alex notices different people coming to visit Matilda to read into their dreams. At night, Matilda and Kacper leave their house and one night Alex follows them. You learn they help others to take away nightmares and give people sweet dreams instead. There are twists and turns along the story and you find out more as you read on (I dont like giving anything away). The story has paranormal, magical feel. Overall I am curious what will happen next and intrigued for sure! Looking forward to continuing to read the next book! 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Stripped (Stripped Book 1) by Stacy-Deanne – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

Stripped (The Stripped Series Book 1)Stripped by Stacy-Deanne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this romantic suspense book…..I felt like I was being pulled in the cult aspect of it by a character named Jonathan, just the way he talked and came across as the leader of “The Circle”. Detectives Dee Quarter and Connie Wilks are investigating a murder of a woman whom was strangled. You feel like it leads up to Dee’s ex named Grayson. As you read the story, there is another aspect of it that the woman whom was murdered possibly belonged to this “cult” run by Jonathan Wild. Dee finds herself being pulled in by Jonathan and his girls and they would like her to join “The Circle”. This book had some twists and turns and it is truly intriguing read. I would like to continue the series and I am curious what will happen next. I will be also circling back to the other series’ by Stacy-Deanne as this book is a spin off series. Overall, I really liked this book and I am very intrigued what may happen next.

The Sound of Silence AUDIO BOOK by Dakota Willink – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

Wow this book….the story is raw, heart wrenching and at times I had to stop and catch my breath. This story is about Gianna who falls in love with a man named Ethan. What Gianna did not know was how Ethan was abusive and cruel. From the outside you would think they are the perfect couple but behind closed doors was a totally different story. Gianna finally flees from her abusive husband and ends up in NYC. She couldn’t believe she bumps into a many named Derek, a man she met on her wedding night as he was at the hotel as well staying for the night. Gianna learns from Derek how to possibly love again but with true caution. Gianna also learns how she can fight back. Ethan finds her again and is bitter. Will Gianna finally be free of Ethan after years of abuse? This story has definite triggers of abuse but also a trigger of stalking. Overall just another fantastic story from Author Dakota Willink.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this cozy mystery, it was a nice change of pace to me to dive into to read. Ellie Warren runs
Kitty Beret Cafe and also loves to sew little costumes for the cats that are in her cafe. It warms the heart a bit that all she wants is to find loving homes for these cats. Unfortunately, a not so nice lady comes into the Cafe and says unkind words and threatened Ellie and her cafe to run a story on how bad the cafe is and the cats. Later, the same lady, is discovered dead behind Ellie’s cafe. Who would kill this lady and why? This is a sweet, cozy mystery. The cats made me chuckle especially Ellie’s cat Templeton. Overall a very good story if you do enjoy a cozy mystery.

Hawke (Men of Syn, #1)Hawke by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow….this book..this story! Charlotte is strong and determined, being on her own and running her very own party planning business. Nathaniel aka Hawke, arrogant, rude dangerous but yet vulnerable and his pasts really haunts him. Charlotte and Hawke did meet prior, but little did she know she runs into him again when he is looking to hire someone to help plan a masquerade party for his new business at Syn. Charlotte wants all of Hawke and nothing less but he will not let Charlotte in as his past haunts him so much. When I read more into this story, Hawke past, it was truly hard to fathom how the people he should have trusted the most let him down. The abuse and torture that he went through as a child really got to me. Then there is a also mystery involved in the story of a serial killer. Who is this person and will Charlotte be his next victim? There is so much to this book and it was hard to put down. This is the first book of Author Anise Storm’s and will definitely not be my last.
