The Crown of Stones: Magic-Price AUDIO BOOK by C. L. Schneider – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

I really loved listening to this story….action, suspense and magic all rolled up into a great adventure. This story follows Ian Troy, who is a bounty hunter. Years after a war… he still tries to forget with so much loss…but the enemy is always close behind…

This was a great fantasy story and the narrator was fantastic as well and I felt like I was more in the story then just listening 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Born in Darkness (Mafia Elite #3)Born in Darkness by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I just love love love this series and the story of Stefano and Emiliana was dark, twisty, gut wrenching and full of suspense. I recommend reading this series in order from the beginning and you get to really know the mafia families and each character. Stefano and Emiliana’s story is not for the faint of heart. It truly is more dark…..Emiliana’s battle from within after being rescued by Stefano after being kidnapped and the dreams that continue to haunt her. Stefano and biding his time with his very cruel father, who has no problem even punishing his own son if he is out of line, to get more information and hope to take him down. This story really grabs you from page one and does not let go. This book is one roller coaster of emotions and I have been truly vested from the beginning, I cannot get enough of this series.

I loved how book 2 picks up right where book 1 left off. This continuation of Red and Cheryl’s story was truly one wild ride of emotions. When Red and Cher reconnect after 15 years apart, so much has happened, but their love for each other never faded. We meet Red’s son, Zeke, the emotions on how Red felt of missing out on the first 15 years of their life made my heart melt. Cher did a great job raising Zeke and all that Zeke had to endure being nonbinary. Mix in Red and Cher with their rekindling flame of feelings and raising a child along with MC drama of someone’s vengeance against Satan’s Devils and you have one wild ride of a book that was hard to put down! Such an awesome book!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wow, this book is a bit different for me when reading Dom/Sub or BDSM. This is my first book that I have read in which the roles are reversed. DEA Agent Elgin Huddleston comes home after a failed mission in which he loses 2 of his fellow agents. Elgin has a lot of past demons he needs to address. The loss of his grandmother, his mother and his fellow agents. When Elgin meets his neighbor, Mary Beth..this is when the story takes a turn. Not only is she a dom, but her methods are more to help psychologically. She wants to help Elgin confront his demons and love himself before things turn more to the want of being together. This story is more then just lust, BDSM and erotic, this story really dives deep into healing and the psychological aspect of past demons.

Fantastic!! Truly fantastic book. From page one I was hooked until the very end. I am so excited for this new series from this author.

Caspian and Paisley…..from the very beginning I was rooting for them for a happily ever after. When Caspian finds out his uncle Preston’s dying wish is for Caspian to find love and be married for at least 1 year in order to be the true CEO of Archer Industries. Being CEO is all Caspian ever wanted. When he runs into Paisley, Caspian asks Paisley if she would be his “wife” and in return she would receive a lump sum of money, but not only that, Paisley’s mother would get the care she desperately needs as she is in a coma. Once this plan is in action, it really sets off a pattern of events of Paisley and Caspian’s connection to each other in the past, sizzling hot moments, love, loss and demons that Caspian has to overcome.

This story is truly just phenomenal. I loved every moment as the story unfolded and at times really took me on roller coaster of emotions, especially Caspian’s past growing up. I recommend this read and looking forward to book 2!!

This is a great romantic suspense book that I really enjoyed. The twists and turns kept coming. When Brant loses his mother, the mystery note that was left behind already had me hooked on why she would say “find him and make it right”. Brant is determine to find out what this means and in this meets Aubrey. There is some trauma that Aubrey has to deal with and also with Brant having to deal with mysterious fires….but as Aubrey and Brant grow closer, there seems to be a stalker in the mix.

This story is full of mystery, edge of your seat moments along with Aubrey and Brant’s chemistry that really made for a great book! So glad I picked this book up to read. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

She does not have much luck when it comes to men, that is until a handsome gentleman, Ben, walks into her bakeshop and the story just takes off from there. Ben really had my heart in this book , he was just so full of love, promise and very attentive to Thea from the beginning. Thea being a business owner is really caring and loving and I loved that both Thea and Ben were all about family. From dates on getting to know each other to very hot sizzling moments, I could not get enough of this book.

This book is 2nd in the series, and I was super excited to read this book. I highly recommend reading book 1 first in the series in order to get to know the characters and background. You meet Derek and Julia in book one so I was very excited for book 2 about their characters. I love that the Derek and Julia captured my heartstrings. Derek is all about saving others and is part of the Resistance. One of the people that Derek saves is Julia and he is totally drawn to her. Julia has been through a lot and back and I could never imagine myself what she went through. As Derek and Julia grow closer, so do their feelings. Can they both overcome their fears and love but make sure the Resistance is safe?

The world as we know it in this book is just so dark, technology no longer exits and just how people are treated. This is such a great book that is mysterious, action and intensity along with some great moments of chemistry between Derek and Julia and I am so looking forward to book 3!!                    5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Breckin is nursing a broken heart after her husband leaves her for a younger woman. Griff, also broken, comes home to Parker after a accident. I love how this story intertwines two people that were hurt in the past to become close. Can I also just say I loved Griff’s grandmother! This is a book with a small town feel and all about overcoming hurt and to trust again. Truly a great read and I highly recommend this book!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is one of my favorites, Red’s story. After Red’s father passes away, he decides to pack it up and move on where nothing is holding him back any longer. Red’s story is truly a journey. He meets a wonderful woman, Cheryl, and becomes instantly attached to her. Cheryl wanted nothing more to go with Red and have a journey herself but then decides it is not for her and ends up going back home. The journey takes Red first to Tucson where he joins the Satan’s Devils MC and eventually ends up in Vegas chapter and eventually becoming the Vegas chapter President.

The more I read Manda Mellett’s books, the more I just love each character. I really get drawn in to her storytelling and this story was hard to put down. I am so looking forward to book 2!!!

Fantastic book 1 to a paranormal series of mountain lion shifters. I loved how the story flowed in this book of Cheyenne and Lane. I could definitely relate to both characters in this story. Cheyenne is strong willed and wants her independence to find love on her own terms. Lane was out on is own, not by his account, wants to find his mate and have a real family he has longed for. When Cheyenne and Lane meet, at first there was hesitation by Cheyenne. As the story unfolds, it is about letting go of the past and finding love. I really enjoyed this book and very much looking forward to more in this series by Author Brooke May!

This is book 2 of the series and it was really good. You meet Leann Bobbin in book 1 as she is Betsy’s sister. While attending Betsy and Nash’s engagement party, Leann meets Len, who work for the local police department. When Len calls Leann on their daily check in, Leann, who is working at her first full time job at a bank, lets Len know of a robbery that is taking place. As the robbery ends, I love how it brings Leann and Len closer. The story flowed so quickly in this book and I just wished it was a bit longer :).

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a sweet and definitely spicy story and I loved every page! After a friend’s wedding, Lauren and Mark hook up for some fun and the story truly takes off from there. Mark does not have time for a true “relationship” and just wants to enjoy the moment and Lauren is trying to be all in with that, but her heart slowly tells her otherwise. Both Lauren and Mark both have some drama and secrets that eventually come out. At the end true feelings are revealed, but is it to late for Mark and Lauren?
Definitely read and find out!!

I can say I loved Lauren’s character and especially at the end she knows her self worth. Mark really tore at my heart strings with his devotion to family.

Great YA Fantasy full of magic, elves . First I have to say the cover of this book is beautiful and really caught my eye. This is a great story of Nix and Zoe. Nix (aka Prince Phoenix) was young when his mother and father, whom were queen and king of the Twilight Realm passed away, because of an evil being, Lord Leski. Elek, a royal advisor, keeps Nix safe as promised to the King and when Nix is old enough, he can claim the throne as King of the Twilight Realm.

Zoe grew up being used as “lab rat” by her own mother by creating tattoo’s on Zoe since her magic is living magic. You find out that Zoe’s mother is the Lady Sirina and her father is Lord Leski, whom were responsible for the deaths of Nix’s parents. Zoe gets to a point when being used for her mothers experiments, she runs away from home. Along the way, she meets Nix…

Will Nix and Zoe learn to work together to save the realm? This story is truly fantastic and highly recommended!

Spoilsport (Pierce Brothers, #2)Spoilsport by Belinda Williams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was sweet, fun romantic comedy about Luke and Nadia. The head strong Nadia has no time for a relationship nor games. After a one night stand with Luke, it was all she wrote. Nadia finds out that Luke was separated from his now ex-wife and she feels like she was lied to. Luke takes life seriously and after one night with Nadia he left his guard down. Luke felt so much spark with Nadia it was hard for him to forget. When Nadia purchases her own home, it becomes more of a hazard. When Luke helps Nadia to fix up her home, her intentions are just that. All business. The banter between Luke and Nadia just made me laugh, she is so head strong, he is serious business. Will Nadia loosen Luke up with this but yet let love come in ? Definitely read this book and find out. I thought this story was light, cute and enjoyable.

Azrael, who is the high priest and Sovran tasks Acheron, is a vulture shape shifter to go to Mandara to help tend to a dying patient. When Acheron arrives in Mandara he meets Errapel and the mate bond is strong. Errapel is a nurse attending to Carissa, who is dying. Her wish is to die at home and then transition back to Kharon. When Hunter is left out pretty much for dead, Rain discovers Hunter and nurses him back to health in her bunker. Heat and chemistry between Rain and Hunter sizzles.
