Love the Way You Dance by Allison M. Boot is another winner. This is just a very heartwarming feel good tale. The characters in her tale have such strong individual characteristics and they are so well described; you almost feel like you know these folks. I love the encouraging story that Ms. Boot has woven for us. A tale about possibilities, and so much that is positive in a world that is all too negative these days. You get all the warm fuzzies with this one.

Love the way you dance picks up where the previous book, Just the way you are finished. In this book, Kara, an orphan adopted by Misty and Derrick in the previous book, takes the center stage. What seemed like fairy tale with the prince and princess marrying and adopting an orphan isn’t happily ever after as it was supposed to be.
Misty gets pregnant with twins, leaving Kara with pangs of insecurities. The revelation of the family secrets and the magical powers of the royal family to combat the evil troll make Kara feel more insecure. She starts feeling out of place. She tries to focus all her energy and time in her passion she loves the most, her dancing. But unfortunately, things don’t turn out well when her dance instructor pairs her with a boy she does not like, Tyler. Soon, she gets an idea of pairing up orphans with their forever families in the kingdom. This is not taken very well with the royal family. Kara is now disheartened in all aspects of her life. To top it, the troll on the loose does not make her life any easier.
Now Kara’s loyalty to the royal family is put to the ultimate test and she has to prove herself to them.
It is a very heartwarming story for young readers and adults alike. The theater in the palace, lots of varieties of delectable chocolates, the flexible wheelchair which follows the command of the dancer sitting on it, are delightful episodes to read.
I felt that the book could have been a little shorter, but considering the depth in which Kara’s emotional turmoil and the upheavals are described, it is understandable.
I enjoyed the book overall. It is a delightful read.

Love the Way You Dance by Allison M. Boot was a super sweet read! I really enjoyed the story and while it dealt with some heavy topics like foster care and being different it was handled very well. I loved Kara. She was a strong and inspiring character. I loved the plot and the message. We are back with Misty and Derrick who are now King and Queen of what is now called Starrycrest. This book focuses on their adoptive daughter Kara, who like Misty is in a wheelchair. This is a lovely modern day fairytale with a difference, in that the main character, the princess, Kara has a disability. Kara has the starring role in the Starrycrest Starlets’ production of The Nutcracker, however to achieve her dream she must prepare for the biggest night of her life with a dance partner she does not like. Soon Kara faces bigger concerns and must face her deepest insecurities when big changes occur which threaten her place both within the Denison family and in the kingdom. Things are complicated further for Kara when she hears of a program that helps orphans find their forever families but comes up against refusals from those within the royal family when she attempts to do similar in Starrycrest. In the background are the troublesome trolls who are after revenge following the events in the previous book.
Allison M. Boot conjures up a magical world of royal families, kingdoms, magic and trolls and through her detailed descriptions as a reader you really feel fully immersed in Starrycrest. The book is a lovely fairy story but it also deals with, family and family loyalties, adoption, personal insecurities and disability all of which the author has weaved into a magical story with great characters whom you grow to love and admire.
The fact that the main character has a disability is sadly a rare thing in a book and this in itself makes Allison M. Boot’s novel unique. The author has written about the disability with such sensitivity and honesty that she brings awareness of disabilities to her readers.
Although some of the characters cross over from Boot’s previous book, ‘Just the Way You Are’ and the stories are set in the same kingdom this can be read as a standalone book. I was very impressed with this novel and I hope it both inspires and educates readers that disabilities do not need to hold a person back from fulfilling their potential.

Love the Way You Dance is the sequel to Just the Way You Are by Allison M. Boot. This was a fun enjoyable story. I love the characters that Ms. Boot creates. These books should be read in order, but could be read as standalone. This book grabbed me from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until I read the last. Princess Kara is adopted by the King and Queen of Starrycrest, and struggles adjusting to find her place within the family. This story left me feeling really good with a smile on my face. I highly recommend this book and author.

This was such a sweet read with good lessons to be learned. This book was a fun fairytale with drama, magic, wonderful characters, and I especially love Kara’s character. This is not the first book I have read by this author and it won’t be the last, because she writes such great stories that are easy to read. Kara has some things to overcome in this story, this is a must read to find out how she overcomes some of the things she has to face. This is a very heart warming book and I recommend reading it.

Adopted by the king and queen of Starrycrest, Kara has lived a pretty charmed life with loving parents and a key role in the kingdom’s production of “Nutcracker.” All threatens to fall apart when Kara has to face her comes face to face with doubt and a partner who doesn’t even like her plus the opposition from the royal family to help orphaned kids find their forever families.
Taking matters into her own hands, Kara is put to the ultimate test by Trovella, the evil troll who attempts to avenge the death of her cousin. To overcome so much, Kara must embrace everything she is to overcome it all.
This book is beautiful and so sweet because as always these characters overcome so much. Another great read by Allison M. Boot!

Love the Way You Dance is the charming sequel to Allison M. Boot’s Just the Way You Are. Where the previous book focuses on Misty, this book’s protagonist is Kara.
Kara is a young girl who, after worrying that her disabilities would mean she would never find a family, was adopted by none other than the King and Queen of Starrycrest. Now a princess, Kara has plenty to worry about including whether she’ll nail an upcoming dance performance, and whether the Queen’s pregnancy is threatening Kara’s place in the family.
The world Boot has created is fun and exciting. In a fantasy land, anything goes and Boot has certainly had fun with this! Kara has access to all the delicious food a person can dream of (thanks, in part, to the friendly and talented chef Tony). She has a super wheelchair designed especially to enhance a dancer’s performance, and excellent instruction from pink-haired dance teacher Stella. There’s a cinema in the palace with a fairly comprehensive collection of Rom-Coms. And also trolls, which will grant wishes but always with an aim to furthering their quest to wreak havoc on Starrycrest.
This is a fun book, suitable for YA and teen readers (but also very enjoyable for adults!). It addresses emotional topics, including disability and foster care, but the fun and vibrant setting keeps the tone light and friendly. For me, this is a five-star book. I’m enjoying the series, and hope there’s more to come! (perhaps a book focusing on Tyler? Or a chance to revisit Kara as a young adult?).

I loved this story, Kara was an awesome character and the adventure and fantasy aspects of this book had me hooked. I love the lessons involved in this story that anyone that doesn’t think the most of themselves could learn from.

This is not my first book by this author and absolutely will not be my last. It’s nice to take a break sometimes from the heavier books I read to let myself into another world, it was like being in a fairy tale land and you get really comfortable in all that is Starrycrest.

I have a couple granddaughters that I’m going to give this book to, as well as the first 2 I’ve read. I truly believe they will love everything about these fantasies and walk away with some truly helpful thoughts to carry through their teenage years and beyond.

Loved it and can’t wait for more from this author.

Love The Way You Dance by Allison M. Boot was a great book! It was a great continuation/sequel of her previous novel, Just The Way You Are. Still read just like a fairytale, was just as funny and entertaining, and heart warming as the first novel as well. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel and was very entertained while doing so, even with the slight juvenile-esque feel to the story telling and words. Boot does a beautiful job crafting this story and building off the world she created in book one. The storyline is very detailed and well written to allow readers to pick it up as a stand-alone and not be at a disadvantage. However the characters are so enjoyable, I would recommend all to pick up the first book to better understand the underlying history. Relatable and heroic, readers of all ages will take away much from the life lessons in these pages. Beautiful.

This is a great story following the story of Kara the princess of Starrycrest.

After her adoption by the king and queen Kara adjusts to life as a princess. She enjoys her life and her new family until Queen Misty drops some news which will change her world. Misty is pregnant.

Kara starts to doubt her place in the family, worrying that the queen and king wont need her once their baby arrives. She is always told to love the way she dances but she doesnt understand what that means.

Add to her turmoil her need to help her friend Tyler find his forever family and the threat of revenge from a Troll can she keep it all together and perform her part of Sugary Plum Fairy or will all the stress and pressure get to much for her?

I loved this story about families and love and learning that to love the way you dance means to love without being scared or holding anything back.

Love the Way You Dance by Allison M. Boot is a sweet, young adult read. This book tells the story of Kara, who was adopted by the King and Queen of Starrycrest. Kara is a brave and sweet young lady who has lived a life of challenges. She is wanting to make some changes in the Kingdom and set up a program for orphans who need to find their forever home. Unfortunately, the King and Queen are not completely behind Kara’s new plan.

I enjoyed this young adult fantasy story. This is not my first book by this author but it is my favorite yet so far. This is a well written story with characters that bring the story to life. They bring a story of a fairytale about a princess who thinks she has everything until one day she realizes her life is about to become a nightmare. There is alot going on in this story but it is fast paced and engaging. I had no problems connecting to the magical characters. They are strong and supportive of each other which made the story easy to read. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens to Kara as she learns to love

Since being adopted by the King and Queen of Starrycrest two years ago, Kara has lived a magical life, complete with doting parents and staff as well as a starring role in the Starrycrest Starlets’ production of The Nutcracker. The princess is on top of the world until big changes threaten her place in the Denison family as well as in the kingdom.

Kara’s magical life quickly turns into a nightmare when she is forced to face her deepest insecurities and prepare for the biggest night of her life with a dance partner whom she does not even like. To complicate matters even more, Stella Dixon, the Starlets new dance instructor, tells the princess about a program in Eclipston that helps orphans find their forever families. Kara loves the idea and wants to implement a similar program in Starrycrest, but others in the royal family refuse.

The tiny royal soon realizes that, in order to be the princess she has always hoped to be and make Starrycrest a better kingdom, she must take matters into her own hands as her mother once did. After an encounter with Victrollia, an evil troll who hates the Denisons and wants to avenge the death of her cousin, Trovella, goes terribly wrong, the princess and her loyalty to her family is put to the ultimate test. In the end, Kara will learn that living life to the fullest means you must love the way you dance.

Much like the main characters in her novels, Allison M. Boot, has a disability. She writes to spread messages of self-acceptance and equality to young boys and girls traveling paths similar to hers in hopes of inspiring them to live their lives to the fullest.
