Throwing the Curve (Playing for Keeps Book 2) by Lauren Fraser – Review by Lyndsey Fairley

Throwing the CurveThrowing the Curve by Lauren Fraser
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book! I love sports romances so this called my name from the cover alone.
I felt a connection to Peyton as she was down to earth, told it like it was and still showed her emotions and stuck up for herself when needed.
Ryan isn’t like other pro baseball stars, he keeps himself in check and doesn’t care for the limelight he’s all about the team.

These two had sparks flying from hello and when their flame ignited it was hard to cool that down. They went through real relatable situations and that made me love them even more as it made them seem more real, so kudos to the author for your gift of word building to elicit those emotions.
Can’t wait for more!

Married Blind (King of Screen Book 2) by Morgana Bevan – Review by Lyndsey Fairley

Married Blind (Kings of Screen, #2)Married Blind by Morgana Bevan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I knew going in based off the title it would be a strangers get married trope but I so enjoyed this!
The author showed who each character was but still kept some details to find throughout the story.
Finn and Abi were great to read about as both are vulnerable in their own ways but still looking for love, whether one of them thinks it or not.
I was hooked from page 1 and I loved how this story unfolded and the emotions this elicited from me for both of them.
I can’t wait for more!

This was short but packs a lot of heat. Kicks this new series off with a bang (pun intended 😉)
I was left with more questions than answers but again it’s a short prequel so I knew that going in and now I’m anxiously waiting for the next book.

I so enjoyed the push and pull in this story between Lilly and Jake. Both have reasons to be how they are but sometimes it’s worth taking a chance again. The chemistry between these two was felt so strong and rightfully so. I love a book that can make me laugh as well as feel all the range of emotions. Must read!

Musical Murder Mystery Boxed Set #1 Books 1-3 by K.L. Montgomery – Review by Lyndsey Fairley

Musical Murder Mystery Boxed Set #1Musical Murder Mystery Boxed Set #1 by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This set combines 2 of my favorite things, musicals and murder mysteries.
I can’t pick a favorite of the 3 included in this set as each has its own draw to it to make them each unique and fun to read.
This author just has a way with her words to draw you in and immerse you into the story like you are there with all the characters, seeing and hearing everything they are. I found myself singing along with all the clues Ruby finds which was fun and different.

Must read!

Moby Plays the FluteMoby Plays the Flute by Eeha Bhatt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First off the pictures in this are amazing. I could look at them all day.
Moby gets a flute from her dad who is deployed for a year. When she says it’s broken he encourages her to keep trying. This book has so many lessons and age appropriate wording to get across what that message is without being too over my kids heads.
My daughter has read this 3x now and just loves it

This anthology is filled with stories for anyone and everyone no matter the genre you like to read. I loved to see new to me authors along with authors I’ve come to love reading. C.A. King being one of those. Her story hit home as a mother myself and doing anything you can for your child no matter what.
The others in this anthology are all so great as well and I can’t pick another to pinpoint as they were great in their own ways.
Pick up your copy today and help support this anthology charity.

Ashes of Sin and StardustAshes of Sin and Stardust by Lindsay Murray
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ashes of Sin and Stardust is your traditional Romance, BDSM book! The characters were great and it was a pleasure to read. The story is a lesson in not all good things are what you think or are expecting.
Rueben has waited for his perfect submissive and when he finds her, she’s nothing like he imagined.
Alice shes sassy and has trust issues. Can they make it work?!?

Where as this author been?! Why has no one ever told me to read her books?
To say I was completely enthralled in this story would be an understatement. I couldn’t put this down if I tried. Had all I wanted and more.
You really feel like you know these people and are there watching this happen page by page. I will be going back and reading the rest of this series because I need to know it all.
Thank you and this author is now forever on my to read list.

Saved by Love (Bellevue Bullies Book 7) by Toni Aleo – Review by Lyndsey Fairley

Saved by Love (Bellevue Bullies #7)Saved by Love by Toni Aleo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have not read anything by this author before and went in blind (that cover called to me).
New adult books arent my usual go to reads but will read them as they can have great stories, just not my favorite age range.
I instantly fell in love with both of these main characters and the realness and rawness of what they went through, how they are coping and how they deal day in and day out.
Throw in the autism awareness components and I was hooked (as a mom of a child with autism this was so beautifully done)

I will be reading more from this author as they have a gift of telling a story you feel to your core.

This Time AroundThis Time Around by Jane Suen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Second chance romances are one of my favorites. This one was a quick read and I didnt feel like I got to really “know” the characters just kind of surface need to know details.
While the story was good and had lots for me to love I just felt I wanted more of just about everything.
I did love the small town and how everyone knows everyone and helps each other, I also felt all was rushed quickly.
Makes for a good afternoon read.

I liked these two main characters as they brought the chemistry and a good story with them.
I was kept along from beginning to end and now I will be watching for the next book in this series .

Levi (The Brothers of Creekside Ranch Book 1) by Edith Mackenzie Review by Lyndsey Fairley

LeviLevi by Edith Mackenzie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sometimes you need a quick clean romance book to fill your afternoon and thats exactly what this book was.
We meet a family who has suffered a huge loss and things really took off from there. This was a very fast feeling timeline and while we get to know a lot of info on each main character Im greedy and wanted so much more back story on both of them.

I cant wait to read about the rest of the brothers we met here.

The Lie That Binds by Amy Argent – Review by Lyndsey Fairley

The Lie That BindsThe Lie That Binds by Amy Argent
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I grabbed this book because of the cover so I dove in blind. I wasnt sure what to expect with this book but it sure wasnt the heart clenching read this was.

High school age reads are not my go to reads as they are usually young but acting older than would seem normal, dealing with situations that are far fetched etc but that is NOT case with this book.
My heart broke in a million pieces with each blow we see in this book but our main characters are fighters and I was rooting for a good outcome.

Glad I took a chance on this book, I love this author so knew it would be good.

Finding Starlight (Quimby Grove #1)Finding Starlight by Shannon Nikole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This checked a lot of boxes for me on what some of my favorite types of reads are.
Small town, drama, suspense, romance of course and many other things.
I want to move to this town! I have always wanted to live in a small town where everyone knows everyone and just a sense of community.

Oh these characters, first their names, im a sucker for uncommon names and these took the prize for that. Their chemistry and just overall being made me relate to them so quickly and deeply.
I wont spoil anything thats not already said in the synopsis but this is a great read!

Wow! What a read this was. I really am at a loss for words but wanted to try and get my thoughts out while still fresh and I can’t even form a cohesive sentence without gushing about how great this story was.

This author draws you right in and you are taken through the emotional ups and downs and loops until you are trying to turn the page and there is no more pages left.
I will be reading more by this author and cannot wait for the second in this series.

There just is not enough words in my vocabulary at this time to express how much I loved this book

This was a different kind of book for me in the sense that I went in blindly and was not prepared for the whirlwind this was.
From the first chapter I was wondering what was going to happen next and who the real bad guy was. I was super surprised let me tell you!
I wish I had some backstory or details on some things mentioned but being my first read by this author I may have missed it and will dive right into it!
