MURDER OFF ROUTE 82 (Eve Sawyer Mystery Book 3) by Jane Suen – Review by Lyndsey Fairley

Murder off Route 82 (Eve Sawyer Mystery, #3)Murder off Route 82 by Jane Suen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Very fast paced book, and while I have read the previous books in this series I dont feel its completely needed to read them to read this book but it may help to understand who our characters are a little bit.
We follow our main leading young lady who gets asked to help with a mystery of a friend and her boyfriend who are missing.
I was able to keep up but felt some things could have been explained a bit more but otherwise a good book. And did not see that ending coming, at all!

Oh my goodness, this town is my favorite and i want to live here!
CC can only count on herself and her 2 best friends in life. She’s got a crush that if she has anything to say about, will go nowhere, on the towns medical professional Brant.
These two, oh I loved them more than the previous books, they fought so hard and learned so much.
I really enjoyed the laughter and the sweet moments.
What a great book!

I really have to be in a certain mood to read bully romances and it seems I was in one of those when i started this book.
I was so heartbroken reading this and how awful everyone was to our lead female, not just our “bully”. She told absolutely no one as she had no one.
Then her saving grace moves to town.
I really liked how he was the middle ground for both parties and was able to bring some clarity to the three year long bullying.

I really felt for her and i felt things went too fast in forgiving but this is a book so i understand.

Really a great read.

As usual with this author i loved this novella. I always say i want more even if its hundreds of pages but this one i really did want more but also this was perfect for this story. I did need to wipe a few tears away but this really got me more into the holiday spirit and to appreciate the family and traditions we seem to take for granted. I absolutely loved this story and this town this author has constructed.

I absolutely loved this story! Time is a precious thing but even after so long, love stands the test. I love our main character and all the glimpses of him we have seen in books throughout other stories and to see him get his time to shine was all i could have wanted to see.

What a great story! My 8 year old was the most captivated by this. And she says all the time, “I might be having a bad day but doesnt mean I have to make others have one too”. She always tries to find the better part of a problem than dwell on the bad parts. And that struck a chord with her in this book. Great story and loved the pictures and would have loved more!

This is a new to me author, but now I need all the books!
I enjoyed this book as it took you into the story and the character development.
This was different, but honestly a great different as it was a storyline ive not read before.
Our main female character is a cop, with a new partner who we know is undercover to investigate if she is fit enough to continue her job. The way this author weaved this story is one you must read to fully get. Cant wait to read more!

Thoroughly enjoyed this story! I understood the reasoning behind the first couple of chapters, to set up who Caspian is as a character, but keep going. I fell hard for him. What a great book. I felt it all and loved everything!

What a cute book for kiddos at that age where they start to question the magic of Santa.
I read this first and decided to hold off on reading to my daughter as she isnt quite there yet.
A gentle way to explain and the illustrations were so beautiful!

These 2 were a treat to read about. Talk about a stubborn woman, but with every right to be.
Finding herself pregnant to a man she only knows by one name and no mean of communication with him, we see how strong she is doing things on her own.
When fate steps in, they are both thrown cureveballs they didnt see coming and must fight to overcome.
Who will tuck tail and run first?

What a read! This was a smoking hot read. I really loved reading about Lauren and Mark. You could feel the connection between these two even though there wasnt supposed to be any involved in this one night stand.
I was able to dive right in to this story and not come back out until the end.
Great read!

My goodness, this is my new favorite read from this author!
You can read this as a standalone as it follows another couple than book 1, but a great series so I suggest you read it anyways!
Following Breckin and Griffin, two people hurt by love and life. Not two people you would imagine being together but my goodness what a pair.
I really loved this story and the characters. You couldnt help but root for these two, feel the pain of the both of them and just want to hug them and be friends.

Highly recommend!

Dare I say I loved this book as much as, if not a smidge more, than the first.
If you dont read book 1 and immediately dice into book 2, the author has kindly put a character list in here (which I needed for a refresher)
I really loved these characters and their story. I felt all of it, the love, danger, suspense, you name it it was in here.
Great new series and Cant wait for more!

I must commend this author on her research of this disease, it shows in her writing here. I havent had a good cry in a bit and this one broke the floodgates wide open. I was put through the ringer with this one and was in the middle with my feelings about it at the cliffhanger . I will be reading book 2 as I want to see what happens and how the author takes this story along.

*if reading about cancer, treatments etc is hard for you, I would pass on this book*

A great addition to this series! I loved Liberty, and her family. This got me in the holiday spirit and will be rereading again closer to Christmas for that feel good feeling this left me with.
When two people, so alike in career focus, yet so different in their backgrounds have to choose between their feelings or their work, it makes for a story you want to read.

Shadows of Doubt (A Crawford Mystery)Shadows of Doubt by Merissa Racine
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Being the second in this series, I couldnt wait to see how this story played out. And I must say I enjoyed this one more the first one and thats saying something!

We follow Lauren again, a few months after the first book ends. She is freelancing and is filling in at her ex’s office with the court also.
We get to see many sides of different characters as they are all part of different legal issues in this one and I loved thinking the worst of one person and being blindsided by who it was for real.

I was really hooked by this story I wanted to keep turning pages when I was done. I really hope we get another book, as i not only find myself lost in the pages of these books but I also like the small budding romance we see happening.

This isnt my first book by this author but it still took me for a wild ride. I was a bit confused at first as Shelby was in one type of POV and all others were told in another and usually took reading a few sentences to realize who we were reading about.
I really enjoyed this book as it kept me guessing and kept me turning pages to see what would happen next. Really makes you wonder if someone was to watch your life how quick would they learn your routine? Cant wait to read more from this amazing author

Kayla and Tanner meet in a very odd sort of way, with her checking out his backside while in line at the coffee shop.
What ensues after would only ever happen in a book or movie but I really enjoyed it.
Kayla is a single mom just doing her best and doesnt have time to date. Tanner is busy with work and starting his own business who also doesnt have time to date. But when they draw the line at no feelings, you know they will both end up hurt.

Really enjoyed this and the other characters in this story as well!

Lauren was so easy to like and I felt like I was reading about a friend the whole time.
This one kept me on my toes and I had my suspicions but I was surprised I was wrong, way wrong.

I hope we get more of Lauren and these characters as this was just such a great read.
