The Fisher Men X My Heart (The Fisher Men Book 1) by Rebel Nicks O’Dey

5-Stars

The Fisher Men X My Heart (The Fisher Men Book 1) by Rebel Nicks O’Dey was an eye opening, heart wrenching and romantic read. I was hooked by the storyline from page one. I loved the writing style the author used to portray the story as an ongoing journalist interview. It really helped me focus in and gave me breaks from overwhelming heartache at times. I loved all the characters in this book except I seriously disliked the antagonists. They were created to be disliked though. The author made it easy to feel the pain and emotions of the main character during and after “the incident”. This story does feature graphic rape and sexual assault scenes that may not be appealing to some but really set the tone of the story. This is also the first book of this series. I highly recommend it and I look forward to reading more.

Aiko (The Heartstrings Series Book 1) by Brooke May

5-Stars

Aiko is the first book in the Heartstrings series and was an interesting read. Aiko is a Cupid who has a rocky and colorful past. She is assigned to Alejandro to help him find his match. Alejandro has a hard time with romance but has a way with animals. The two made for an invigorating read.

I loved the banter between the two main characters and also the different dates they worked through. Aiko was very to the point and Al was full of sarcasm. This book was easy to read and I could not put it down. I was at the end before I realized it. I highly recommend this fun and romantic read. I can’t wait to read more in this series. I loved it.
