I do have a soft spot for these kinds of stories (millionaires/billionaires – I think I just secretly want to find one!!) and have read quite a few however this is the first book that I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it! It was everything I love about a contemporary romance read. I loved the characters, Jess and Jordan. They really were opposites but as they say opposites attract! They did have an amazing chemistry that felt real and genuine. The first interaction between them was really sweet and melted my heart a little. I thought that the story was well written and had a great pace to it. I like the plot to the story and it definitely flowed really well. Overall a really lovely story that was well written and one that I highly recommend!

Turning The Tide ( Eastern Shores Swingers Book 5) By Phoebe Alexander. This is the 5th book in the Eastern Shores Swingers Series and it does not disappoint. Its the story of Luke Cannon who feels like he’s never going to feel intimate or love ever again. I fell in love with Luke and I would have gladly loved him. He’s had a hard life and he’s about to give up. Then he meets Connie who is independent, caring and compassionate. Sparks fly and he thinks maybe just maybe he can have love and happiness again. This book is full of sexy swinger stuff and I have loved this entire series. There is a swingers club in Ocean City, Maryland where love is free and sex is fun. Read Turning the Tide to see if the Tide really will Turn for Luke!

This is the fourth book in this series and by now you know all the main characters. But that doesn’t mean the author can’t keep throwing surprises at you that you won’t see coming. There is so much happening in this book. I literally could not put it down until I got to the end. In my opinion, this is the best book yet. The story is compelling, the characters continue to grow, and it makes you feel like you are right there with them.
I recommend this book and series for lovers of young adult books with romance and suspense.

Oh my goodness..What did I just read?? This is my 3rd book by this author and I will say that I have to break this review into 2 parts..first the story and characters themselves…I’ve never read a book and finished it where I was sad and angry through 80% of it, Van and Valencia’s little sister who was the absolute star in more ways than one in this story was probably the strongest most pitiful person I have ever read about. Her resolve with the way her life was was both heartbreaking and sort of inspiring..this still confuses me so I can’t explain what I mean by that, but I’ll just say this, I absolutely loved her. Then there’s Adrian, I think I’m still a bit confused on him, I feel like I need more, maybe from his POV…I was left thinking positive about him because that’s the way I wanted to end that part of the story, for me..
I really can’t say much more about the actual story itself, so now I have to move into the writing of this story. AMAZING!! When I got done reading I sat for like 30 minutes with question marks over my head blinking in bright neon, trying to digest everything that happened, then thinking back wondering if I missed something…I actually picked it back up and read the last few pages over again, praying there was more, wishing there was more and absolutely needing more. This was yesterday and I’m still struggling with how to write this review…I’ve finally decided it’s just like one of those movies you get done watching and are like wth, it can’t end like that…I’ve finished this story in my head and made each aspect end the way I wanted it to end and I’m happy with that 🙂 This was a brilliant read, I’ve read some of the reviews where so many were confused and I don’t understand that because I followed every word and every thought and I was literally consumed with the writing of this book. I have to say that this has already been placed on one of my favorites so far this year and I know that it will stay with me for a long time and I also know that I will reread this book, maybe many times in the future.
I would not be heartbroken if there was more of this story to come in the future, I would be the first in line if this happened and I can’t wait for more from this author.
I 100% loved this book, I 100% recommend anyone that wants to read quality crafted writing to sit down and tune out everything around them and read this story!!

The story The Reason Why by Izzibella Beau is a wonderful book that I loved reading. It is a story that hooked me in from the beginning and I didn’t want to put down until I had read the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Alabama, Joshua, and Hunter. Alabama is a young girl whose life, because of her mother’s actions, has been upended. She is being sent to live with her mom’s best friend from high school. She didn’t realize that she would also be living with Joshua and Hunter. Joshua is like a best friend to Alabama. He makes her feel welcome and at home. Hunter however is moody and mostly ignores her. She is appreciative of the kindness she is shown and does her best to fit in. Living with them is at times filled with tension. What happens when feelings start to occur? What does the future hold for Hunter, Joshua, and Alabama? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had my feelings going up and down the entire time I was reading it. I came to care about Alabama, Joshua, and Hunter with each chapter that I read. I wanted them to all find happiness. There are sad moments that tear at your heart and other times that are heartwarming. The characters are well-developed and the story is engaging. It is one that I would highly recommend reading.
The story Cinderfella is a fantasy book that I loved reading. It is a story that is sweet, romantic, and hooked me in from the very beginning. The story is wonderful, the characters are well-developed, and I couldn’t help but care about the farm boy and the girl who is on the run. They are characters that I was rooting for to find happiness. The farm boy is handsome, hardworking, and cares about others. The girl has all the luxuries in life. What happens when there two worlds collide? Read this book to find out. There are moments that make you laugh, smile, and are heartwarming. I enjoyed the bantering that goes back and forth. Add in a bit of magic and you have the perfect tale that you won’t want to put down until you have read the last page. This is a wonderful telling of a story. I highly recommend reading it.

If the Shoe Fits is the third book of the Liberty Lawrence series from Bea Stevens. It follows suit in the light and fun read that goes quickly before you know it its over. I just loved reading about Liberty. While I may not love shoes as much as she does, I can relate to her obsession towards something for oneself. Once again there was the twist of mystery thrown in that kept me on my toes and engaged till the very end trying to figure out how things would eventually turn out. I can’t wait to see what the next adventure will be for Liberty Lawrence!

Linda Gets her Groove Thing: A Spicy Romantic Comedy About the Afterlife is the 2nd book the The Green Room Chronicles, by J.D. Frettier. This series is hilarious and takes taboo subjects, and combines them in the best way possible. This book has so much imagination, and my face hurts from laughing. This book can be read as a standalone, but would be better enjoyed after reading book 1. It is the story or Linda White’s death and arrival in The Green Room. She meets Dee and Bonnie, from book 1, and they get her comfortable and situated with life. The revenge she gets on her ex husband is the best part. I don’t know where Frettier comes up with these things, but keep it coming! This book is a quick read, and can likely be read in 1-2 sittings. I highly recommend this series.

Exactly 15 months ago I finished the first book in this series. As I said in that review, I really love a book that makes me think. So I was extremely excited to get my hands on the long awaited sequel! This book is full of love, sadness, and a bit of frustration (cough, cough Matt). Everything has been going pretty well for the Graykens and even though there are some hiccups with Matt’s health and Mikaela’s desperate longing to bear his children, the couple choose to fill their life with helping others. Their charity work warms my heart and Laurie Lewis continues to make me think, especially since a dear friend of mine has been going through radiation treatments. LOVE on the LINE explores the ugliness of cancer in a way that gets the reader a bit closer to what it is like to suffer through, whether first or second hand. Matt and Mikaela’s love for each other seeps out of the pages, and though they both second guess themselves and their own agenda, neither one will deny the other anything possible just to see a smile.

5 Star Turning the Tide(Eastern Shore Swingers Book 5) by Phoebe Alexander is a wonderfully written book and the fifth in the Eastern Shore Swingers Series. I’ve absolutely loved this whole series,I recommend reading the first four books if you haven’t already. This story had me turning pages I had to know what happens next. Luke Cannon is a man who pulled at my heart strings as I read about his life,he he also a man who wonders if he’ll ever experience love or intimacy again. I kept hopping he would find happiness He meets a woman who is kind,caring and compassionate. Get ready for a bit of an emotional rollercoaster ride with this story with a side of hot and steamy!As I’ve already said I highly recommend reading not only this book but the first four as well. Misfortune of Song (Druid’s Brooch #5) by Christy Nicholas was an heart pounding, entertaining, engaging read, that had me hooked.
Yes I know, I’m not exactly reading this series in order, but they can be read as standalones, and the timeline isn’t consistent, so I don’t feel like I’m missing anything, if anything I’m enjoying that much more. But if you are a stickler, then I do suggest reading them in order.
Each book that I read in this series, has more magic, more drama, and just more insight into the fae world. This read has a mix of romance, of one that isn’t all happiness and sunshine. There are real emotions and problems, as well as magical drama (more so on that evil side) and an unsupportive family. It makes this otherworldly read, connecting and realistic.
This book covers so much, makes you feel so much, and frankly I can’t pick a favourite in the series. Well written and easy to read, these book takes you on a fantastical ride that just captures you mind and soul. Not to spoil anything, I’m going to leave you with my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, for this must read.

Naira is a very passionate person about what she believes she’s also a bit stubborn. Naira and other characters seem to have some inner conflict going on. Devil’s Backbone by T. Birmingham is the fifth book in the Wild Beasts series. This can be read as a standalone and enjoyed. This book has paranormal, action, and suspense. Tess has been scarred and is especially frightened when she comes across the remains of someone she believes she recognizes. She prefers to keep to herself and away from drama. Ben has been sent back to the last place he would consider home. There is a missing person and more for him to figure out. This is an interesting read. Much occurs in the minds of the characters. This is an interesting way of getting to know the characters. It gives a private insight into them and adds to the story. I enjoyed and was rooting for Tess and Ben. I am now curious about the rest of the series and will be catching more of those books in the future.

“Surviving Valencia” is about twin siblings Van and Valencia and the people who loved them. From the point of view of the twins’ younger sister, this story weaves quite a tale. Their sister, always feeling invisible, never even divulges her name to the reader. She always just saw herself as Van and Valencia’s sister, never as a person of value or deserving of anything. Her life feels normal, like it should feel, until it doesn’t. Secrets can’t stay hidden forever, no matter how hard a person tries. This fascinating story stayed with me, long after the book was over. I really did not want to put it down! My mind kept floating back to the story when I was unable to read more, always curious about what would happen or what I would find out. The book is just as mysterious as my review, so I apologize if I haven’t given much detail. Yet, if you were curious about this book at all, READ IT! In the beginning, I wasn’t really sure what I was reading, but this character draws you into her story and doesn’t let go. So, I give “Surviving Valencia” by Holly Tierney-Bedord five stars!! Thus is the hilarious second installment in the Green Room Chronicles. Linda was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her new battery operated pleasure machine to take with her on her trip to Paris. Unfortunately, they sent her the wrong item. After complaining to customer service, she wakes up in the Green Room. Once she realizes she’s dead, Linda decides that she might as well enjoy herself with some body sculpting and lots of alcohol. They say hell hath no fury like a woman scorned so when Linda finds out her lying, cheating husband is also in the Green Room, she decides it’s time for a little karmic payback. With the help of Dee, Bonnie and the talented sorceress Edwina, revenge is sweet. This story will have you laughing out loud.

Linked: Can Empathy Save the United Terrestrial Democracy? By Gaia Amman is an interesting read. I usually do not read Sci-Fi but this one caught my eye by the title. Gaia Amman does an amazing with creating a new world. Ammand has also created some deep insightful characters. This was definitely a page turner for me.I felt myself right there with the characters. Naira is a fun character because she is passionate and knows what she wants. She is stubborn and has the gift of being able to speak sarcasm. She likes to banter with those around her. There is a little romantic moments within the story. With Naira there can be so much more playful.What will come of Naira? Can you fall in love with the enemy?

A Wicked Earl’s Widow was an exciting and fast paced read. It is book two in this series and can be read as a standalone. The wonderful scenery of each setting is depicted very realistically and I had no problem envisioning the story. The characters were also detailed and fascinating. Both the protagonist and antagonist characters had major roles in the flow of the story. Eliza and Nate, who are the protagonists of this story, mad a beautiful romantic couple despite the tragedy that occurred in Eliza’s life. He was a blessing in disguise when he stumbled upon their coach. I loved reading this novel and look forward to reading more in this series.

The Dirty Rooster by Kelly Mooney is a book filled with angst, chemistry and a little of everything in between. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but it won’t be the last!
Preston works at his family’s bar in Hilton Head during the summer and he enjoys it. That’s not the only thing he enjoys but it is certainly not commitment. His disinterest in commitment gives him a certain reputation but he doesn’t really mind. He has his dreams and that’s what he’s working toward. Summer and Jenny have just graduated and are going to spend their summer in Hilton Head working. Summer’s plan is to make as much money as possible and work toward her dream. She doesn’t have time for people that don’t want the same thing as her. She doesn’t want one night stands but she does want to have fun. Preston is not the kind of fun Summer wants to have. Will Preston conquer the challenge or will there be more for Preston and Summer?
I really enjoyed this book and the emotions it evoked while reading. Preston is a little swoony once you get passed his commitment issues. There was a lot of wit and humor that was really enjoyable and made this a fun read. I can’t wait for more from Kelly Mooney!

Love on the Line is a truly phenomenal romance read by Laurie Lewis. It’s the second book in the Great Expectations Love Stories: The Graykens, a series that should be read in order as this book follows both Matt and Mikaela along the newest chapter of their lives.
Their story is so unbelievably emotional, and I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to read what would happen next and I couldn’t have been happier with how it all played out.
This is a romance read I would absolutely recommend to others!

Remaining at home after a mission, he begins to be concerned when a neighbour keeps having arguments with her brother. Suspicious, he keeps watch as trouble brews and events unravel. When Stella’s life is put in danger, Hawk spurs into action. Can Hawk protect Stella from harms way before its too late? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Hawk strong and silent but caring underneath or Stella standing up for herself but still vulnerable underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the troubled brother or the supportive Chris. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel with the soft colours like the blue and reds or the gentle greys and tans of Hawks apartment as a soft comfort against the fast paced action of the novel. Or the small detail in her grandmothers jewellery box and locket as something priceless and a treasure beautifully written. The switch of perspectives worked well to display both sides of evenst and was easy to follow with names in the chapters. The reminiscences into Hawk’s past worked brilliantly to portray another side to Hawks character and didn’t disrupt from the narrative of the present. I also liked the change of setting from the jungle of the last novel to to the city of California. I also liked the mix of the CIA and a sense of a treasure quest which combined for a great read. Fast paced action and high stakes made for a captivating read. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

Knights Who Won My Heart by Sonya Jesus is the 4th book in her Knight series. This suspenseful series should be read in order as each new book follows the last. Just like the rest of the series this book is intense, twisted, detailed, captivating, mysterious and very suspenseful. It certainly isn’t your average college romance read. While it does have some of the aspects, like new relationships, intimate moments, heart break and friendship, however, it also has a darker side full of mystery. Murder, kidnapping, stalking, etc. this series has a little bit of everything. I enjoyed finally getting answers to my questions and letting karma due its job, which I couldn’t be more thankful for.
This is a series I would recommend to anyone looking for their next suspenseful college read!

I really do love reading books by this author – she never fails to entertain me with her unique and engaging writing style. I really enjoyed The Woman America Loves a Latte so I was really looking forward to reading Little Miss Eyes of Blue as it is the prequel to it. I think that it definitely opened up the character of Vee for me; I feel like I found out so much about her in this book that I could read the second book now and have a better understanding of her as a person. It was really nice to see more of Vee and what she has been through in her life. I don’t think it really matters which order you read the books in I would just definitely recommend that you read them! They are both excellent reads and you won’t regret it!

I thought that Linked was a really interesting read, it isn’t a genre I would normally read however I have read a few books by this author so I thought I would give it a go and I was pleasantly surprised. It is one of those books that has you thinking about what you have read long after you have finished. The authors’ writing was captivating and the book was really well written. It was a really unique and original read that I think readers have to experience the book just to appreciate the story that the author is trying to tell. I really enjoyed the twists and turns in the story and this definitely meant that I had no idea what was going to happen and hence why I was so engaged from the beginning until the end. The characters in the book were well thought out and they developed well as the story progressed. I think if you are looking for something a little different to read and you enjoy sci-fic/dystopian stories then I would absolutely recommend this book – even if they aren’t your go to genres I would also recommend giving this story a chance!

An Appointment is the fourth book in the Summer in New York series. It can be read as a standalone.
This book takes you through a variety of emotions as you follow Savannah and Preston through the story. Both have had their hearts broken by previous relationships so building trust is challenging. Savannah lives for her son, but has to deal with her ex because of custody arrangements. This creates some complications that could strain the budding relationship with Preston. Can both of them traverse the challenges to build a new life together?
Be aware that some of the subject matter in this story may be a trigger for some readers.

If the Shoe Fits is book number three in the Liberty Lawrence series by Bea Stevens. This series is dramatic, engaging to a reader, and an all round great read. It is guaranteed that this author puts a unique spin on a fantastic reading experience, and is almost always enhanced by these witty, and mesmirising characters.
Libby is a woman after my own heart. She loves shoes and there are never enough shoes to be had. Her boss is a piece of work, but something sinister lurks in the shadows, leaving Libby and Valerie in danger. This story delves into intrigue, amd loads of action. James may be the one to save the day who knows? Anything is possible in a Bea Stevens story. To find out, you will just have to read the book. 4 stars

Knights Who Won My Heart: Knights Series Book 4 by Sonya Jesus is another great addition to and the end of the series. You have to read the books in order to fully understand the characters and their backstories and all the emotions behind them. It is an emotional read that that has you all over the place and the pages turning to find out what happens next. It has been a gripping and thrilling read that has your heart in your throat and finger nails in disrepair as we follow the journey of one monsters need.
Amelia is a young woman who is being beaten down at every corner of her life. She has lost so much and it is taking it’s toll. Her heart is broken, it has been shattered to pieces. She has been manipulated, twisted and turned and pulled in one way or another and no one is aware that it is happening. There is evil lurking amongst them and he has hurt them all but no more than Amelia.
This book is as heartbreaking as it is heartwarming and I have enjoyed this series since reading the first book.

Linked: Can Empathy Save the United Terrestrial Democracy? by Gaia B. Amman is a sci-fi dystopian romance story. I am not a fan of a lot of sci-fi stories and was not sure what to expect but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. It is a unique and original story that is twisted in politics and social standings and is thought provoking. The characters are well thought out and at times they frustrated me but it also made the story more fascinating and kept the pages turning. Naira has finally become someone she despises but not by choice, but being exposed to a different way of life is taking its toll. Not only does she have to look at her own prejudices she also needs to teach others. Not until you walk in their shoes do you truly understand.
