The Finder of the Lucky Devil (Lucky Devil Series Book 1)The Finder of the Lucky Devil by Megan Mackie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Finder of the Lucky Devil (Lucky Devil #1) by Megan Mackie was an interesting 5 star read.
This is a book that is out of the realm of what I typically read but I really enjoyed it.

We start with an interesting prologue and then we jump ahead six years later to Rune owning a bar in Chicago, The Lucky Devil’s. Rune inherited the bar from her aunt. Rune has a secret that she has to keep, but owning the bar is making it difficult for her to keep a low profile.

When Saint comes into the bar wanting to hire Rune to use her special skills to find someone, there’s a little problem. The person he needs to find is actually right in front of him but doesn’t know it. Needing the money for the mortgage, will Rune take the Job?

Overall I really enjoyed this read, it is a very interesting world that pulls you right in. We meet several different characters, trolls, vampires, fairies and so much more. We get action and some twists that add a great element to the story. I wasn’t sure about Saint at first but he quickly grew on me, I loved Rune from the beginning. The Explorer was a great 5 star read and book six in the Mountains series.
This can be read as a stand alone.

I was excited to get Abigail’s story, she is Sara’s daughter from the previous books.
Abigail is starting college in a new city and so is Gavin.
When Gavin meets Abigail and is instantly attracted to her until she shares that she isn’t interested in men and is confused about what she wants, could she be pansexual? They become fast friends and help each other get through their first year of college.

Overall this was a great read, you get so many different things that add a great element to the story. I don’t want to give anything away so I won’t go into much more detail. I loved all of the secondary characters. Phoebe does a great job of pulling you in with her writing and you won’t want to stop until you are done. Music Man was a great 5 star read and book one in the Romance in Rehoboth series.
K.L. Montgomery has once again pulled me in with her writing and I didn’t put it down until I was done.

This is Claire and Jack’s story and I loved it.
Jack has always had the dream to make it big in the music industry. Life had other ideas for him and he ended up a music teacher. When he meets Claire there is an instant connection, they are great together. After Claire encourages Jack to enter a contest, things take a great turn for him and he gets another chance at his dream.

Can Jack have it all, family, music career and Claire?

Overall I really enjoyed this story. Claire loves Jack and will support him in anything he wants to do. Jack also loves Claire and is great with his daughter. Devil's Spawn (Satan's Devils MC Colorado Chapter #6)Devil’s Spawn by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Devil’s Spawn (Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter #6) by Manda Mellett was a great 5 star read. I have to say it did take me just a bit in the beginning to get pulled in as we were getting introduced to all of the characters because you basically have two stores going on at once. Keeping them straight threw me off a little until I got to know them better.

My heart broke for Vannah and her son. Liz was her husband who suffered a traumatic brain injury in the military and pretty much lost all memory of his family. Giving him the space he needed Vannah had stepped back for 10 years but yet kept tabs on him. Now she is struggling with her son and realizes he needs his father. Can the club help Vannah and her son reconnect with Liz or is he lost forever?

Mace and Shayla also had a great story. Shayla came into the shop wanting a tattoo removed but there was something about the tattoo that Mace needed to check into. Who is she and what is she running from?

OVerall this was a great read. Mace was great trying to help Vannah and her son and his story was great as well with Shayla. Manda has once again done a great job of pulling you right in with her writing. Of course I wanted to pound some sense into Liz a couple of times but overall the characters were great. The Bar Next Door (Barflies, #1)The Bar Next Door by Katia Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Bar Next Door was a great 5 star read and book one in the Barflies series.
Once I started I didn’t want to put it down. It is a great rival to lovers read.
This is Julien and Monroe’s story and I loved it.

Monroe’s bar has been struggling and she gets concerned when the place next door is bought. She has loved working there and since the owner isn’t the nicest person she gets concerned when the place next door is sold. She decides to snoop on the competition and when she meets Julien, the new owner she is immediately drawn to him.

Julien likes Monroe instantly, what will happen when he learns about Monroe’s secret? Will that change things for them?

These two were great, I had several LOL moments. Julen being a frenchman was a plus along with being sexy and super nice. Monroe was adorable and determined. Overall I really enjoyed this read. I loved the ending and can’t wait to read more from the series. 1-click and get started today.

Journeys Through TimeSpace (Journeys Through Book 2) by James Talisman – Review by Jenni Bishop

Journeys Through TimeSpaceJourneys Through TimeSpace by James Talisman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Journeys Through TimeSpace (Journeys Through) by James Talisman is the second book in the series and is a fantasy sci fi story. It is an adventure where the story is multi layered and complex with a lot going on with so many character players. James certainly keeps you on your toes. As with the first book, James has once again given the reader a lot to think about in the aspect of spirituality and time travelling and a shared consciousness throughout a multiverse. In this book the players are tasked with finding a treasure that is coveted and is shrouded in mystery and age old time. Again I found myself thinking that the story could have been told in fewer words but it was interesting to see how James has grown from his first. I look forward to seeing where he takes us next.

How Could I Forget (Plentiful in Love Book 1) by N.D. Jackson is a romance story of a missed opportunity. One night changed it all for our characters but only one has kept that secret for 6 years. The story was written in a way that is easy to read and it felt real in this simplicity. ND had done a wonderful job in keeping the reader engaged and being able to get lost in the story. It has moments that make you feel what they are feeling and hoping against hope that everyone gets their HEA. Indebted to the Vampires (House of Durand Book 1) by Erin Bedford is not only a paranormal romance story it is also a reverse harem fantasy. There are lots of vampire stories out there and it still amazes me that authors can come up with something different but that is exactly what Erin has done. The story is fun and entertaining and the characters were well developed individuals and with so many they each had their own quirks, crazy and flaws but that is what made the story. It is easy to read but it does need some revision done on the editing which slowed down the flow. I hated where it ended, it was just getting good and can’t wait for the next one.

What a read! Indebted to the Vampires Is my first read by Erin R. Bedford and after reading this I can’t wait to get my hands on the other books in the series.

I loved the characters that this author has created each of them stand out and you can’t help but be intrigued by the 6 gorgeous leading men! Piper was everything and more I love that she stood up for herself and always said what she wanted to say, she was witty, funny a bit clumsy but most of all she was herself and with that came the connections she made with the men. We can’t forget to mention Darren, while in the beginning, I was unsure of him, in the end, I think he is exactly the right person to kind of help Piper navigate this world that she finds herself in the middle of!
This was a brilliant captivating storyline from the start until the very end. It’s a mentally visual read which made it even more impossible to put down the read. I couldn’t get enough of the chemistry whether sexual, flirtatious, frustration and anger that came from the connections these characters made with each other, It was as though she has always known them! I loved that it was written in multiple POV’s as it really gave you a better insight into each character and their thoughts and real feelings.

My only issue was that ending! How could it end like that I can only imagine how book 2 will go! I have a feeling we are going to be in for another epic journey of suspense, action, sexiness and total brilliance of Piper!

AnneAnne by Zarina Macha
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Anne by Zarina Macha is a book that deals with some serious issues in a sympathetic and engaging way. As a young adult book it touches on subjects that a lot of others in the genre tend to stay away from. It really takes you on the ups and downs of being an adolescent and delves into issues that a lot of them face in today’s society.
With that being said it is quite an easy book to read. It has a nice steady pace about it and the author builds up the characters well. This is one of those books that I think for people in the genre it is definitely worth a read! And for those who don’t usually read this genre I would suggest they give it a go.
