Love Between the LinesLove Between the Lines by A.D. Brazeau
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Love Between the Lines is the first book in this series and I enjoyed this read a lot! As a new to me author, it takes a couple chapters to get into the groove of their writing styles and I got lost in this one pretty quickly. I love that the main characters are an author and a cover model. These two were great to read about and will be looking for more books from this author.

Love Between The Lines (Book One of the Page Turners series) by A.D. Brazeau was a really good read! This wasn’t a bad read by any means, but from reading the synopsis of the book I thought I would enjoy it more. Not to say I didn’t enjoy reading this book, it was interesting and a good read. It just didn’t hold my attention like the synopsis and cover led me to believe it would. The characters were very interesting, I loved the storyline and the content, and it was an enjoyable and interesting read. I can’t wait to read the next installment to this series and more from this author in the future!

Two Hearts, One Stone (Boots and Babies) written by Leslie Scott was a really good read! I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy it at first or not, because I’m not a huge fan of western type novels, but by a few chapters in I was completely hooked! This book has it all! It has the steam, the romance, great content, intrigue, suspense and drama. This book has me laughing, gasping on the edge of my seat, and crying. I couldn’t believe how much I loved this book. I was pulled right in from the beginning.
Braelynn gets some great news that she can’t wait to celebrate with her secret love. But first she has to confront a demon in her life, when she does things take a scary twist.

Seth has been seeing Braelynn secretly for more than one reason. But when she needs his help his protective side comes out and the secret is no more.

Will he be able to help Braelynn? Will they be able to continue their relationship?

Overall this was a great thrilling read. My heart went out to Braelynn and what she went through. I loved how protective Seth was and how supportive he was. The authors do a great job of pulling you in with their writing. I can’t wait to read more from this series. 1-click and get started on this must read today.

Wolf's Beautiful Beast (The Untold Stories, #3)Wolf’s Beautiful Beast by Suzanna Lynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wolf’s Beautiful Beast by Suzanna Lynn is the 3rd book in the enchanting The Untold Stories series. After reading the first two books in the series, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book. These stories are so wonderful and bring a different twist to the fairy tales I loved reading as a child. Rapunzel, Red, and Lycus’ lives get intertwined in Timbergard where dark magic has transformed the once thriving land into the Black Forest. The trio are heading to Oz to confront the Wicked Witch, but their journey takes a turn when they are shipwrecked. Where are they and what will they find? I hope you take the time to read these books in order to get the most enjoyment.

Forged By Secrets is the third novel in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series by Amy McKinley. This is another excellent romantic suspense story. It is filled with second chances, secrets, danger, action, adventure, violence, drama, sizzling heat, tension, mystery, surprising developments, and plenty of intrigue; everything you could want in a read. McKinley has a talent that shows in her writing and is far beyond the imaginable. I would highly suggest reading the previous two books before reading this one. I have enjoyed Amy McKinley from the first book I picked up of hers.

Daisy’s Darkness (Wheels & Hogs #6) by D.M. Earl

4-stars

This is the 6th book in the Wheels & Hogs series and also my first book by this author. In saying that I can say that this book can be read as a standalone. I was able to piece everything together without any issues.

This book started off so strong with Daisy’s dairy logs and didn’t not let up until the end. Each chapter kept me sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to find out how everything was going to play out.

This author did an amazing job with writing this story, it’s incredibly heart breaking, intense, emotional and truly tragic. This story hits on so many real issues that young people face every single day, from bullying, eating disorders, self-harm and suicide. There were times where I found it hard to read for those reasons but I loved how the story sheds light on real life.

I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for an emotional read!

This has been an awesome series. This is the third book in this series and although it can be read as a standalone it is my suggestion that you read all three in order. This story is full of action, romance, great characters and more. Because of Malina’s past she won’t allow herself to get into a relationship even though she finds herself attracted toTyler. All that Tyler wants to do is be with Malina and help her out of the trouble she finds herself in when she gets accused of treason. I found myself rooting for these two since the start. I could not put this book down once I started reading it, I was completely hooked. This is a must read if you want to find out what happens with these two. This author did an exceptional job pulling me into the story and keeping me entertained. I highly recommend this book.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

City of Whispers is the first book in a new series. I was captured from the first word until the last word. This story is full of magic, drama, fantasy, emotions, and secrets. The characters are complex and engaging. This story is about Dhani, an assassin, who gets expelled from the Imperials Assassins but it was not her fault. She is sent to a position in the desert. She does not have any magic, but she is trying to figure out what is happening. I highly recommend this book, I cannot wait to see what is going to happen next.

Evil Sushi (Evil Sushi #1)Evil Sushi by C.A. King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book in the Evil Sushi series. This is a Paranormal Horror novel and is 219 pages. This story follows two east coast fisherman who are just trying to survive in their small town. This story is set not too much farther in the future and meat has been banned for consumption, so that only leaves fish. This book kind of shows what will happen with pollution and climate change. With corporate fishing taking hold, it is becoming harder and harder to fish. While out on a fishing expedition, they find something. It is either going to be good or go very wrong. This was a such a great read!

Daisy’s Darkness (Wheels & Hogs Book 6) by D.M. Earl – Review by Tracy Gutierrez

Daisy's Darkness (Wheels & Hogs #6)Daisy’s Darkness by D.M. Earl

This book, by far, is one that has made me cry the most. Daisy dealt with so much in her young life. It was just heart breaking the things she endured. She felt she couldn’t go to her family in fear of basically be judged as crazy. She had a circle of friends who, along with her, were being bullied. They had each others backs. It breaks my heart the things that kids who are bullied endured. I felt as if, even though she was mad at first, she felt relieved when her brother found out the secrets she was keeping. It was then she found out her family would support her no matter what. When a friend commits suicide Daisy takes hard. With the help of her immediate and extended family she is able to get the help she needs. I was happy to see that Daisy was able to have a happy ending.

To be a Fae Queen (Realm Chronicles #1)To be a Fae Queen by Tricia Copeland
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

To Be A Fae Queen by Tricia Copeland is the first book in the Realm Chronicles series. This is a YA fantasy book that has such a heartwarming and engaging character right at its centre. Although you are reading about a young girl I found that it was really easy to picture what she was going through. She has such a difficult and tumultuous journey and yet she faces it all with such a strength.
I thought the book was really well written. The author has created an interesting fantastic world that really does pull you in from the start. As the first book in the series I thought it was a strong start and I am looking forward to what comes next.

Twisted Throttle by Manda Mellett is the third book in the Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation series. This book is as exciting and fast paced as the other books in the series and is easily just as good. The more this whole series expands the more I become immersed in it. I always think I have found my favourite book until I read the next one the author brings out. She has such a way of creating strong and interesting characters that really pull you in. This book is no exception. I instantly fell in love with them and couldn’t put the book down until I had read their story. It is full of twists and turn and I couldn’t put the book down at all. I cannot recommend this series enough and would urge everyone to read them today.

Daisy’s Darkness (Wheels & Hogs Book 6) by D.M. Earl – Review by Jenique Bornman

Daisy's Darkness (Wheels & Hogs #6)Daisy’s Darkness by D.M. Earl
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’m absolutely emotionally drained after reading this!! D.M. Earl is an author I’ve come to really respect and I also expect really hard hitting topics in her books, Daisy’s Darkness is a perfect example of this.
Throughout this book I kept trying to remember if bullying was such a huge issue when I was growing up. I just think it wasn’t really talked about. Maybe because of books like this there is more awareness about these problems and hopefully some positive reactions will come out of extremely sad books like this.
But even though it was a really gut wrenching experience it was worth every single word.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

City of Whispers (Imperial Assassin Series Book 1) by Katt Powers. This is such a fun, action packed book. It will keep you turning the pages well into the night. This is the 1st book of the series and if it is any indication of the books to come I can’t wait. This one is very multi layered and some of the names I had trouble with pronouncing. You have to really pay attention to keep up so keep that in mind. Its about a character named Dhani who has been accused of murder she didn’t commit. On top of being wrongly accused in trying to clear her name she starts to get death threats from very dangerous people. Dhani is such a kick butt kinda girl but without her magic she is just like everyone else. Will Dhani get her name cleared and get out of the place her magic is no good before its too late? Read City of Whispers to find out!

5/5 Stars

Two Hearts, One Stone (Boots and Babies) by Leslie Scott

This is the first book I’ve read by Scott, but if she writes like this for all her books then it won’t be my last. Two Hearts, One Stone is a fantastic read. I hope there is more to Stone and Emmy.

Stone Dempsey is the best horse trainer in town. He originally came to town to take care of his sister, but she left him there. She shows up a year later with a sick baby. He rushes to his boss’s house for the Doctor. The quote I chose for Stone is: “There hasn’t been a woman in my bed since the day I met you Emmersyn Cole, and that ain’t because of Maddie. You got under my skin like an itch I can’t scratch. I don’t know how, but I’m going to prove it to you.”

Emmersyn aka Emmy is back in town opening a pediatric clinic. She didn’t think she would find herself falling for the trainer that gets into everyone’s pants. When she sees Stone taking care of his niece she finds herself falling hard. The quote I chose for Emmy is: “No. I’m not. I just don’t want Pop getting his hopes up.”

Highly recommended for Western Romance lovers.

Auctioned (Billionaire Bodyguards, #3)Auctioned by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4 ½ Stars

Auctioned is the third book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series by Via Mari. I love when I see that Via Mari has released a new book because I know I am guaranteed a really great read. This is a fantastic romantic suspense that’s full of danger, sex trafficking, secrets, hidden agendas, action, mystery, a whole lot of sizzle, intrigue, and so much more.
This book could be read as a standalone, as each book in the series focuses on a different couple. But I recommend reading the previous two books before starting on this one, because they are really great stories in their own rights- as well as having recurring characters who you will want to know more about.
Via Mari is known for her superb romantic suspense stories and this book showcases her talents beautifully. She easily builds gripping suspense, intrigue, palpable tension, and sizzling chemistry- while balancing it all with lighter moments and believable emotion.
Damian has been hired to find the missing niece of Jenny Torzial, whom we first met in the ‘Prestian’ series as secondary character, and then in her own series ‘The Torzial Affair’. Bryanna has found herself in quite the predicament, caught up in a sex trafficking ring. Damian will stop at nothing to find her and return her safely. But Damian soon discovers that it’s not going to be a routine rescue assignment- and he might lose more than his heart in the process.
Another unputdownable read from this talented author!

Thank you, Via Mari!

Auctioned (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 3)Auctioned by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Auctioned is the 3rd book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series by Via Mari. This is a spin off from her other series’ where we get the stories of the bodyguards who work for the billionaires who starred in previous series by the author. I’m a huge fan of her work having read all but the Prestian affair series of her work. Something I plan to remedy in the future.
I’m always excited to get a new book from Via Mari to read, but to get one with the gorgeous Kamil Nizinksi on the cover is a definite added bonus. I was able to picture him as Damian as I read this book. When Damian is assigned to find missing virgin Bryanna who has been caught up in a human trafficking ring his life is about to change.
I loved Damian and Bryanna’s story. As with all Via Mari’s books, it is hot and steamy and a fantastic read. These two characters are perfect for one another. Damian is a Dominant, whereas Bryanna is submissive and she wants to be dominated by Damian.
This isn’t just the romance story between Damian and Bryanna, there is so much more going on in this book that will keep you hooked to this book and not want to put it down. Via Mari sure knows how to write a fantastic storyline that will have you entertained from the very first page right up to the last. A must read!

Wow. I thought I knew what I was getting ready to read when I picked this book up. But I wasn’t prepared for the pure emotion that filled every page. You name it – I felt it. I felt it for Daisy. Thank you Via Mari for continuing to write such great stories! Damian and Bryanna and sexy, sweet, determined, and delicious!

This story continues from books 1 and 2 and it is helpful to read in order. I liked how these characters are the main focus with a little help from their friends. Bryanna is tough and protective and soon learns that Damien is the same way, maybe even more so.

Mari’s writings continue to be an escape from the real world although human trafficking is becoming all too familiar in the real world, this story has a happier ending than real life, making it a great read.

Highly recommend this story and the rest of the Billionaire Bodyguards.

Twisted Throttle is book three in the Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation series by Manda Mellett. This is an action packed story about the kids of the original Satan’s Devils bikers and their dramatic lives. The MC genre has always drawn me. I love reading how others live, their traditions, their rules, their hierarchy etc. Sometimes these laws infuriate me, nut the sense of loyalty and family is enviable and gives a reader never ending thrills, wows and no ways!!! The leading man sees his life going one way, and he is totally blindsided when it unfolds a different way.

Manda Mellett details larger than life characters, the continuation of her exciting biker life, and everything a reader comes to expect from this author. Twisted Throttle is a dangerous, intense exciting, enthralling, impressive, stimulating and salacious. A cast of many personalities who blend to make a spellbinding family. 4 stars.
