I am in love with this mafia romance series. Amy just keeps surprising me and when I think she can’t do any better she does. She always ups the ante with each book. You need to read the books in order, or you are missing out on sooooooooo much. This book has it all making it a great romantic suspense story, with plenty of action and danger, violence and intrigue, murder and drama, secrets and lies, and let’s not forget the amazing sizzle factor and off the chart’s chemistry. I almost feel like I have run a marathon after reading this as. There are surprises around every corner, tension runs high, and the suspense is palpable. This is Luc and Summer’s story, and they are great characters. They are complex and fully developed and oh so loveable. I am not going to share anything because Amy’s gems need to be discovered all on their own.
Colourful illustrations with a story that is more a teaching of experiments and about friendships. I am unsure of the way this author writes. It felt like it quickly jumped from one experiment to another without any real lead in to each one or an explanation as to why things worked the way they did. The story is set for elementary age readers 4 – 7 who I am sure will love to try the things the characters do in the book and not worry about any lead ins.

This book was a pleasant surprise from start to finish. Not usually a fan of science fiction I was instantly hooked into a story line that kept my attention from start to finish. While I would say this is geared towards young adult, it was an enjoyable read for anyone! Highly recommend if your looking for the right story to bring you in to science fiction.

I’m not sure what caused me to pick this book because not only is the cover art creepy, I knew the story included clowns, and not just happy clowns but scary clowns. I’m definitely a person who can clearly say scary, creepy clowns are not my forte but the reviews associated with this book are incredible and I cannot pass up an incredible story.
Abbey is the main character, a teenager, student who has enrolled in a new school, but before the first day arrives, her father, a journalist, asks the family to join him by visiting the visiting circus as he gathers intel for his next big story on the history of clowns. As a typical teenager, Abbey wanted to pass on joining any family function if it included visiting the circus of all places, but she ultimately chose to go along. While there, she watches the entertainment, then roams around behind the scenes. When she comes across a crowd of clowns chatting about someone, out walks Rellik, the creepiest, scariest clown she had ever seen. When he looked into her eyes, as he walked by, fear riddled her body and she could feel goosebumps on her arms. Little did she know, her future would hold a lot more clowns and danger.
I wasn’t sure if I would be able to get through this book and believe me there were times, I thought the creepy factor was going to get to me, but the book is so good and so well written. I loved the way Abbey constantly thought of specific 80’s songs throughout the story which made the book have a bit of a soundtrack, which was unexpected. She often felt older than your typical teenager, seeing as how she handled her special “gift” and the drama that came with it.
The author did a great job making the villain someone you could feel disdain for and hope he would have a strike of bad luck.
I loved how Abbey started to learn about teamwork and the love that you can enjoy by joining a team, a sisterhood of her fellow soccer players. They go through a lot while dealing with clowns invading the school and the disappearance of a few friends but in the end, I think the entire situation brings them all closer together.
I enjoyed this story, even with the creepy clowns and look forward to reading more from the author. This was very well written, easy to read and follow along and kept me intrigued and on edge from the very beginning.

What a great story and a perfect read to share with my great nieces and nephew. The pictures were colorful and the story was wonderful. Who doesn’t love a mermaid? Trezzie the mermaid has treasures to share with her friends Maia and Fig. You learn with these treasures they are used in different and amazing ways like little “experiments”. This story is overall wonderful!

This was a most entertaining and original book. Vanessa has left an abusive relationship and ends up on Saedo. The soldiers rescued her and her sisters. Arkon, the soldier who rescued her, has been hurt in the past also. They both have to work through issues which are many and unique as this is an alien planet. I absolutely loved the detail. The description of the flowers and plants for mating; Grandma ‘s soup; Vanessa’s cooking and the relationships with her sisters and their spouses just kept you engaged through the whole story. It was fascinating with the detail. I found myself picturing the story. The characters felt like they could be from Earth. They could be neighbors. The plot ran pretty smooth. It was a great story that I would recommend.

This was a great 5 star read. My heart went out to Bullet, he was in foster care and is having nightmares from things in his past. He is waiting for his MC brothers to send him packing after his mistakes. But they surprise him and show him what a real family is.
He meets Clementine at a doctor’s appointment that was interesting in itself. Clementine joins the group for lunch and things go from there, she was perfect for Bullet. She is feisty and knows how to give it back to him.
Overall I really enjoyed this read. All of the characters added a great element to this novella. I look forward to reading more from this series. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. 1- click and get started today.

While this book is part of a series, this is the first I have read from it. This didn’t impact the storyline, I still had no problem relating to the characters and following along. There were times, especially at the beginning where both characters infuriated me. Their stubbornness and lack of communication was beyond frustrating. When I take a step back, however, that’s the same thing I enjoyed about the storyline. Both characters were REALISTIC. I overall enjoyed the author’s writing and the book in general. I will be reading more from this author in the future.

Reunion in the Outback is the fourth book the Welcome to Bunya Junction Series. This is a Contemporary Romance that I absolutely loved reading. I’ve been patiently waiting for this book and it didn’t disappoint. I highly recommend reading this series in order, as it will give you a better understanding of what is going on and you get to know the characters. I’m a huge fan of this author but this one is definitely my favorite yet. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. I was very eager to discover what was going to happen next. This is about Yolanda and Michael and their daughter. . There is heartbreaking moments and plenty of secrets. What will happens when they come out? Can these two repair their marriage and relationship? I highly recommend reading this to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

I was pleasantly surprised by this novel. As I read the synopsis of the story I thought although it was not my normal cup of tea but what the heck I will give it a shot and I am happy I did. Abbey’s story is unique and I found it interesting. The story had adventure and surprises, I could not put it down until I finished. If you enjoy ghost stories with a twist then I highly recommend this series to you. I look forward to reading more from him.
This was a cute and cheerful children’s book. I think it is geared very well to children with things that will keep them interested with beautiful photos, and pictures that really make the wonder in their mind work! I loved the science and use of science through out this book, I found for me as an adult, it had a high engagement for me, and for sure, it would for kids too! Wonderfully written! Wonderful read!

I loved the premise of this story, and it definitely caught my attention. My only REAL complaint (if you want to call it that) is the story is just too short for me. At 120 pages, you are only getting what I would call the bare minimum. The characters were good, the writing style was definitely there, and the story/plot has great potential. I am very familiar with La Llorona so maybe I am heavily biased about what I expected going in. The main character, Mercy, is easily relatable for most people, and easy to like as the protagonist. She is well written and has character depth and advancement. I also enjoyed how the author added in some more serious topics that today’s society faces, adding again to the relatable aspect. There are also so many quotable one liners in this book, and specific parts that stood out to me. I did actually enjoy this book quite a bit, but reading it cover to cover in 1 sitting left me wanting more. Reviewed by @zoltrixes

The Notebook Mysteries series is an intelligently-written set of novels set in the 1880s, with a smart feminist protagonist. Emma runs her own business, employs workers, solves crimes, and supports those in need of help. When she is given the opportunity to help even more people, with the help of a large inheritance, she expands her network to handle the responsibilities of that role. But there is more than enough excitement beyond that – mysteries to solve, trouble to set right, and even working out how to be with the man she loves without the bonds and limitations of marriage and children. It is great to see a series about such a smart capable woman living her best life, especially in the late 19th Century. A good YA mystery novel with elements of many genres, I think this story has wide appeal for lots of readers.
Class Clown by Allan Evans is the second installment in this set (The first is Abnormally Abbey). I have not read the first book, but had no issue getting into this one and did not feel like I was missing information, so it can be read as a standalone. After reading this one, I will be going back and reading Abnormally Abbey (and others by this author) as it was exceptionally interesting to me, and different than your “typical” ghost story. Abbey is your average 14yr old high school girl….or is she? She can see and communicate with spirits, but this is not always as fun as it may sound. This time, she has piqued the interest of a clown at the traveling circus that has come to town…and he seems pretty intent on following and harassing her. But that is only where it starts, now her new-found soccer teammates are starting to come up missing…Is it all connected? If THAT doesn’t catch your attention, there are TONS of 80s music references in here to keep all of us “old people” in a nostalgic head spin. Ruthless Heir is the fifth book in the Mafia Elite series. It’s a gripping series, so I couldn’t wait to read the next book when it came out! The series focuses on the Italian Mafia in Chicago, with each book centring on different members of the families. Some have been brought up in this life, whilst others are new to it and drawn in either by family connection or romantic relationships. I would definitely recommend reading the whole series in order. This story does work as a standalone – both of the main characters are new to the Mafia so we get to learn about it from their perspective – but knowing the backstories of the other characters adds to the experience. Ruthless Heir is Luc’s story. He has clawed his way from a difficult childhood to becoming a successful businessman, unaware even of the existence of the Chicago Mafia, let alone his rightful place amongst them. His background makes him a good match for Summer – both used to having to fend for themselves. A misunderstanding leads to Summer getting wrapped up in Mafia business (definitely nothing to do with the chemistry between her and Luc…). It’s interesting to see the families through her eyes – someone who is fully aware of the public image of the notorious bosses and their wives. She knows it’s dangerous to trust anyone, especially the Mafia. Ruthless Heir was another book I couldn’t put down, and definitely gets 5 stars from me! It’s an action-packed story with plenty of twists and surprises along the way. I’m looking forward to the next book, due out in the summer!

This author is just simply out of this world, the word building is amazing, their character development is perfect, and the plot was so amazing that it left me craving more. While this is the third installment in this paranormal series, it is not essential to read the previous two, but I would highly recommend reading the whole series as they are all just simply amazing. In this installment we follow Macy and Brandon and trust me when I say that it is a crazy roller coaster ride that will hold your attention until the end.

Sophie and Gil met on set of their newest movie. Sophie has been in the business since she was a child, Gil is newer to the business. Both fell for the other before they even had a true chance to get to know the other but they have a not so healthy look on love. When Sophie decides to go on hiatus Gil invites her to spend the time with his family on their farm in France. This is everything Sophie has ever wanted a loving family, but will things last with Gil and his fear of commitment.
I thoroughly enjoyed this heartwarming romance, and having loved the previous books in this series it was nice to be back in Bunya Junction. The storyline focuses on Yolanda Watson, who has returned to her hometown from the big city, having separated from her high school sweetheart husband, Michael. Yolanda and her young daughter are back in Bunya Junction and surrounded by family and hoping to start a new life, but she’s missing her husband. Meanwhile, Michael’s life is falling apart after his wife left him, and he’s definitely not ready to give up on his marriage to his soulmate. Michael returns to Bunya Junction, willing to do anything to get his family back, and make Yolanda see that they still love each other. However, Michael has a secret to tell, but telling his wife the truth about his circumstances is harder than he expected, and it will be the ultimate test of their love. As usual the authors descriptive narrative brings the wonderful setting of Bunya Junction vividly to life, making me feel yet again immersed in the place. The characters are likeable and relatable, especially Yolanda and Michael and I was hoping they would get their HEA. I liked that the romance storyline was slightly different as the couple were actually already married. An enjoyable and engaging read which I definitely recommend.

This book had such a flow to it, that I couldn’t put it down! The title alludes to a children’s song in the book, and characters harken back to it periodically through the novel. Who can’t relate to the heroine, a reluctantly dutiful daughter who wants the freedom to make her own decisions about her life? Readers confront the effects of technology. So-called civilization is juxtaposed against rural life. Ultimately, the protagonist must decide how she wants to live her life, something we all must do at some point.

What a wonderful way to start a new series, I was engrossed in Ryan and Sindy’s story from the very beginning, I just simply couldn’t put it down. These characters will pull you straight into their emotions, and just simply make your heart melt. Our author has given us so much in this wonderful story from heartbreak, chemistry, and hopefully a second chance. While this is the first book in the series I personally can’t wait for the author to give us more. Her writing is unique and original and trust me when I say that she’ll have you hooked from the very first page.

I like finding new authors and I like to check out different genres from my norm. I found that the author had a refreshing plot and a unique story. I found that the story had enough drama and action to really keep the reader’s attention. I felt as though I was there right in the thick of the action.
I really enjoyed the the fantasy/sci-fi aspect of this story. I am quite sure that the actual given audience for this book would really enjoy this book. The author has a story that will engage the reader. I would definitely read more from this author in the future.

A bittersweet ending to a wonderful series! In our final adventure in Bunya Junction, we meet the baby. The youngest Carruthers’ sibling Yolanda. Reunion in the Outback shows the struggles of marriage between her and Michael. Unlike the other characters, siblings, stories, everyone else found love for the first time. Yolanda already has it, well she thought she did. I love how the author depicts their marriage struggles. Marriage is not easy and everyone goes through their own obstacles, but if you don’t give up and push through you can very well succeed. Not that everyone does, and these two characters were tested in ways that could kill multiple marriages and they had it all. It’s a great book, as well as a great series. Trust me when I say once you read one, you will want to read them all!

This book was such a joy to find and share with my daughter! It was educational in a fun cool way. The story was so cute and I loved the characters design. The illustrations are beautiful. My daughter is four and we had a great time learning about tricks and magic. This was such a fun way to introduce some science to her! Every picture we pointed out different colors, counted trees and stripes on shirts, and played games with it. This was such a beautiful read and I’m excited to find more to share with her.

If your looking for a good book for your kids then this book is it. I like how the author is able to bring basic science to life. The characters are down to earth and relatable for kids. This book brings a great opportunity for kids to learn and get an enjoyable story to boot. I highly recommend this book for younger children.

Wow!! What a read this was! I 100% loved this book from beginning to end. I was completely hooked on Dr Stella’s story! The passion and heat just flowed from these pages as I was reading and it was tastefully written too, enough to get over the point that there is some serious lust between these characters but not too over the top that it’s not believable. I wasn’t actually sure I was going to like Stella after reading the synopsis but I did, there was more to her than just sleeping with some extremely hot men! In the synopsis the author does warn of a cliff-hanger and she wasn’t wrong! I cannot wait for the next book to come out!! I really do highly recommend this book, it was a fantastic read and I loved it!

In this book the author transported me back in time to Chicago 1885 and what a wonderful story it was. I really enjoyed this book and found it so engaging to read, I really did feel like I was on this journey with the main character Emma trying to solve the mystery with her. The author really managed to grab my attention from the very beginning with her wonderful descriptive language and fabulous story telling. I haven’t read the first two books in this series and I absolutely will be doing so, it may just help me get to know and understand the characters a little better but I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more from this author!
I honestly cannot ever get enough of this author. Every book she writes just seems so effortless and flawless. This book is exactly why. It is exciting and fast paced and full of off the charts chemistry. From the first page I knew this book was going to be amazing. The characters were so engaging. I felt the chemistry between them so vividly, it coloured every single interaction. The writing was so captivating. The author really knows how to grab your attention and not let go. This is such an incredible series that just gets better with each book and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
Reunion in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction Book 4) by Nicole Flockton. I love this series and this addition about second chance love is just as great! Its the story of Yolanda and Michael. Yulonda is originally from Bunya Junction and when she and Michael got together she couldn’t get away fast enough. Now that is life is falling apart she takes her daughter and runs right back. She has left Michael and she feels like her whole world is falling apart. When Michael, a great Chef at a hardcore restaurant finds out Yolanda has left him he doesn’t know what to do. Deciding that nothing is more important than his family he packs his bags and moves back to Bunya Junction as well. He thinks if he can prove to Yolanda that he’s in it 100% then she will come back. When his past threatens to tear it all apart again Michael isn’t sure he did the right thing. This story shows how hard marriages are and that to make a successful one you both have to want it and really work for it. Read this heart warming contemporary romance!
