Emma seriously is an amazing sleuth of a woman. She has solved so many mysteries in just two books so far! Her relationship with Jeremy evolves, her friendship with Tony is tested, and many more tests. With all of this comes with challenges and responsibilities. 😉 This was a great read and ready for the next book!
Emma finds herself being called to a reading of a will from a former client and she is surprised to say the least. Of course what is left to her comes with strings, but it also will provide her the opportunity to expand as well as bring some old friends back into the fold. As the relationship between Emma and Jeremy grows they find themselves not wanting to be apart, but because of the times they cannot just start living together. Aside from more personal matters they do have a lot on their plates what with a friend and his family being kidnapped, a friend needing help in another country, and all the paperwork that came along with the reading of the will. How will they solve their dilemmas?
I do like the fact that Emma is a strong, independent and forward thinking character. It is also great that for the time period the story is set that Jeremy does not try to deter her from her hopes and dreams, but instead encourages her. So far this series has kept me entertained and I look forward to more from this author.
I Absolutely could not put this book down. It is a first time read for me from this Author and even though it was book 4, I didn’t feel lost at all. The characters were amazing. I immediately fell in love with them and wanted to be friends with them. I can’t recommend this book enough.

This is another thrilling set of mysteries for Emma and her team to solve as drugs, kidnapping, murder, hidden plots and more will keep you on the edge of your seat as the twists and turns keep coming and the drama heightens throughout.
Love it and had a personal connection to the book. I enjoyed how the author let you know early on how the character sees her life. Just a girl in a town with a job not feeling all that special. I feel that a lot of women can relate. We start our lives with a tiny job hoping to be someone better. Then finally we met that person who sees the value of you as a person and not of your status.

I was excited to see that Professor Valentine was getting a companion story, this time told from the perspective of Diego. I enjoyed the first book in this series and was hoping that seeing the other side of things wouls being that character connection I missed first them round. It was quite a short Book but it was nice to get that alternative point of view. I found it as easy to read as the previous boom and I definitely felt the chemistry more between the characters in this one. The emotions felt more real. I’m glad the author wrote this book as the two together are great to read.

This book takes you on an adventure that has you at the edge of your seat until the last page. It’s such an interesting twist on special abilities. You will fall in love with the main characters immediately and be fully committed to their story. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
This is the first book that I’ve read by this author and in this series. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this book but feel like I was missing a huge chunk of information that was given in the first two books. I wish I would have read the other two books first, but alas, I did not. I do plan to go back and catch up though for future books in this series.
Emma reminds me a lot of the Nancy Drew books that I read as a younger child. I love Emma’s style of reasoning and the detective work she conducts with the Pinkertons. I like that she has a love interest but is he really? It took me until the middle of the book to really grasp the whole of what was going on and it was the last third of the book that really had me wrapped up in the story. Again, likely because I wasn’t aware of the connections or who these characters were. They’ve been working together for awhile now and have a significant history with each other. I read this book in two sittings (only because I had to drive from one place to another!) and it was an easy read (minus the French that I know nothing of but the reader will get the gist of it!)
I look forward to reading the first two books in this series as well as those that follow!

A book that did not disappoint. It Just Comes Natural hits on every expectation going in. As I continue to read this series, I am beginning to enjoy this author more and more. This book, though part of a series, could very well be read as a stand-alone story. Though all 3 books in this series have overlapping points, each one focuses on different characters. So it takes nothing away. Macy and Brandon met on a one off right before he shipped out for 5 years to serve his country. living with the separation from his mate for the last 5 years and not knowing where she is has been awful for Brandon. Little does he know she’s closer than he thinks and there’s a big surprise as well. When Macy realized Brandon was her mate that she ran from, he was gone. Left alone with the pain but also a surprise, Miranda. A firecracker of a child that put Brandon Quarter’s antics to shame. Never realizing that’s her Brandon. You will learn to really love these characters and really want more as you read this series. So do it already!

I have read a few motorcycle club books and this one was a bit refreshing. The author has a unique style and story line. I like how the characters are believable. Tbe mix of drama and a little romance is just right. I was very drawn into this book.
The characters have complex pasts and this makes for a more interesting read. I also like how there is a bit of restraint from the characters and the romance. Sometimes it is refreshing to read a romance that isn’t all fall and tumble but just plain fall. I will definitely read more from this author.

Well I gave this author another chance and I actually really liked this one. I would actually rate it 4.5 if I could! Call of the Alpha is a story that one can relate too, well minus the werewolf part… lol Mason and Rylie are two characters, who are wonderfully written. I enjoyed how the growth of each one of them was presented, especially Mason. Then introduce Mason’s son Archer and it brings a whole different dynamic to the relationship between the 3 characters. Archer was definitely 5 going on 25 it seemed based on how he was written. He was such a grown little dude, so mature especially when being raised his whole life by a single father. You will love these characters and you will want to know what Mason is going to do as well! I did enjoy how it overlapped with book 1 in this series. Everything going on at the same time was definitely different. I also liked how it set up book 3. I would assume that also will have that overlapping feel to it. I might just have to check it out.

So, these types of books are usually my thing, but A Second Chance didn’t quite fit the bill. Don’t get me wrong I didn’t hate it. It was alright, just not a favorite. It started off slow, with lots of hard headed-ness from the main two characters. Derek, watched his mate leave when he was 16, not only did he lose his wolf but he lost himself. Annabelle always pined for Derek if she’s willing to admit it or not. These two are so stubborn it’s frustrating at times. The one thing I did love was Spence, Annabelle’s best friend and right hand when it comes to work. His flamboyance definitely lifted up a rather dull story for me. He helped lighten up the two main characters which helped me start to come around as I continued the story. The author gives me slight intrigue, because of the well written supporting character. I intend to look into other written works to see how they are.

The 3rd book wouldn’t be complete without another time crunch mission, this one to Prince Ferfox (Ie Mr off limits) home… but everything goes to shambles and the clock is ticking.
Can Van embrace her feelings , come to terms with who she might love and fully accept who she is in time?
Must read to find out. I’m sorta sad this Journey is over I’m certainly going to miss Van’s tenacity and angst!

Brandon and Macy are each out for a night of fun when they meet and sparks fly. Although they may be fated mates, they each have their own lives that make things complicated. Brandon is leaving for military duty and Macy has her own responsibilities. However, they do share one incredible night together.
Fast forward and Brandon has returned home since his military obligations are up…but he is determined to find the one that got away. However, when he finds Macy again, he is in for quite a surprise. Although they both feel the pull to be together, there are obstacles that they must overcome and issues they must work through first…and the author does not make it easy on them.
This was an enjoyable book. I enjoyed the strength that Macy showed as the story took its twists and turns. Brandon is a funny jokester but his sense of duty and responsibility shines through. Another good book in this series. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

I have two young children that love reading with me. Both are intrigued by “experiments” and science and my daughter is a lover of mermaids. That being said, this book seemed like a no brained to one-click. This was a neat, short story that taught you some “magic” in the form of simple experiments. I loved it, and the illustrations aren’t bad either!

I adore this series! Hope has the ability to connect telepathically to people that need her help. When she connects to Russ, she knows this is different. For this particular connection, it is not obvious why they are connected or how long it will take to figure it out. Russ is annoyed by the voice in his head at first. He doesn’t like someone invading his every thought and feeling. The longer they are connected though, the more they develop a friendship that bonds them. As they get to know each other, they try to figure out what is connecting them, and what it will take to make it through.
One thing that I love about this series is that even if you have never read another book in this series, you can still enjoy each book. While the characters are connected, and the story is better knowing the past, there is enough background given to not be lost if you jump in here. The emotions in this story really resonate with the reader. My heart skipped a beat on several occasions! You are really brought into the world of Russ and Hope as if you are right there with them! I can not wait to continue this series!
This is what I call an open ended book. For any childcare settings, a must have for all who read to children. Not only does it come with an exciting storyline, it feeds science minds with hands-on activities. This author has taken simple materials and her characters to bring the child to exploring the world around them. Besides that, the pictures are bright and eye-catching. With mermaids, imaginary friends and human children, it shows we can all come together and explore. A must have for every library. I highly recommend this story and look forward to reading more from this author

This is the cutest story! Trezzie is a mermaid that loves showing her friends tricks with her treasures. Maia and Fig are Trezzie’s human friends that love exploring science. In this book they do different tricks with a cup, water, paper and a mirror. The illustrations are bright and colorful and really make the story come to life!
My kids read this story over and over again and can not get enough. They even loved trying the experiments that Trezzie and her friends did. I love that the story engages kids in learning in a fun way. Kids of all ages can follow along with Trezzie, Maia and Fig!

Yolanda and Mark have loved each other from school got married and moved to the big city, but things have started to strain and Yolanda does not know what to do. She decides to go back home and try and work through her emotions.
Mark arrives home and find Yolanda and his daughter have gone to visit family but as the weeks go by he realises that there is something seriously wrong, so he packs up and follows them to Bunya Junction to try and save his family.
This story has been brewing through the last three stories and I am so glad Yolanda and Mark get to share their journey with us in this book. This story was heart warming and real, real everyday struggle with some secrets added in.
The story is well written and winds through the characters trying to come to terms with themselves as well as trying to drawn them back together. As you read through the story you understand there is much more to their story and it was thoroughly enjoyable. I loved the way the secondary characters are compliment the main characters and offer support.
To be honest every story I read by this author is wonderful, I am a little sad that this is the last book in this wonderful series but can wait for the next book/series to come along.

I started reading this without realizing that it was actually the 2nd book in a series. When they referred to a past incident but never fully explained it, I got the hint. However, this book was extremely new reader friendly. It felt like I was reading an episode of “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” and that’s a good thing. The story was fun while still being intense at parts. The characters were not fully fleshed out, but they did have their own personal identities. I look forward to many sequels in the future pulling the supporting characters out of their shells more. It was a shockingly quick read, and I had wished that there was more. So, I’m lucky that there’s the first one to go back and read. I’ll just pretend that it’s a prequel to this one. Haha!
This book was so super fun to read! Definitely an original story, and I found myself wondering how sweet things can cause some people to find love! Well as you read the story, you fall right into the joy of being in love. I don’t want to give the story away but there are two very fun additions to the story that play an interesting part in building the book and. one makes it a book to keep coming back to! Now I must say through the entire book I wanted one of these delectable treats and a visit to Cupid’s Cove! I am sure this series will not disappoint!

Summer’s best friend messed with the wrong crowd and took Summer with her. When Summer makes a run for it, she lands in California, working as a temp. Unfortunately for her, the company is taken over and her picture is splayed over the internet. Her new boss, as of this morning, happens to be her one night stand from last night. When Luc misunderstands what he overhears, he takes her with him to Chicago. There he finds out that he is Mafia royalty. Opinion I think this is my favorite mafia series. How McKinley is able to come up with situations that are intriguing yet plausible (at least in the realm of fiction) is beyond me. With each book that I read, I am drawn further into her Mafia Elite world. This book has it all from not knowing about your parents to enemies to lovers to an unplanned pregnancy. I am not sure that McKinley is going to be able to top this one for me.

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. The Notebook Mysteries is a good series. Changes and Challenges is a great read and you won’t want to miss it.
Emma is left everything from Millie’s grandfather after he passes. She then finds a case that she will be going to alone. Jeremy sends her there and there’s a reason why. The quote I chose for Emma is: “Unfortunately, or maybe, fortunately, Mr. Carlyle died of natural causes before he could hear his granddaughter’s guilty verdict.”
Jeremy is working on a case downtown and will not be joining Emma. Instead he hopes that he can keep their secrets. Can he do that and keep Emma safe? The quote I chose for Jeremy is: “I’ll be on my way, also. I’m working a case at Citizens bank downtown. I’ll be there all week if you need anything.”
I was drawn to this book based on its cover. I was very entertained while reading this. I love the haunting aspect of it. It made me really want to finish it once I started it. I will definitely be reading the first book in this series. I highly recommend this book.

This is another amazing book by Amy McKinley that can be read as a standalone, but is so much better as a part of the series that it is a part of. This is the fifth book of seven, and I cannot wait to read the rest of them.

This is the fourth book in this series which is just as great as the previous three books. I highly suggest reading the previous books in this series to help your enhancement and enjoyment of this author and series. I have loved reading this author from the first book I picked up by her. They pull you in from the beginning and her attention to details make her books realistic. This book is no different. It is a well written story that has characters that not only pop but make the story come to life on each page. I enjoyed how they are connectable and kept the story engaging. A story that has great growth of the characters and the plot throughout the story. This is a fast paced story that is full of not only action but also some romance. This is a hard to put down story but it is a must read. A story of secrets, honor and threats of survival. This is a really great story that I loved reading. It is entertaining and ticks all the right boxes for sure. I highly recommend this book and this author.
