In this latest installment, we see Van facing more challenges. She still has her previous frustrations with her stepmom and ex-boyfriend but also new ones with her current boyfriend (who I am hoping falls into a hole). She has a new mission and her powers aren’t working right. The one thing I love is to root Van on when she’s making choices that make sense. The theme of her being a teen with the weight of the world on her shoulders but doing the best that she can is still in effect. Same great core characters and plot. I’m still rooting for Brux!

C.A. King wrote a wonderful book here! If cookie and Valentines Day being in the title didn’t give you the hint that it would be sweet, then take my word for it! Such an easy to read book with the perfect chemistry between characters. LOVED the idea of a Valentines loving town and thought it was really a great setting! When competition heats up so do feelings! I will be definitely keeping my eye out for more from this author!

Steamy medical with a twist
Another great instalment from this author. I enjoyed Stella’s character, her confidence was a refreshing change. With hot guys, a little drama and a whole lot of steam this book had me fanning. Fair warning that the cliffhangers at the end are the real deal and brutal. I even flicked back a couple of pages to make sure I hadn’t missed something. If you are into books with a self-assured female lead, sexy doctors and romance this is a book not to be missed.

I really enjoyed this read, it was impacting in its own way, and I found it beautiful to read and watch the story and characters develop and connect on different levels as I read. I found the writing very easy flowing, and was easy to fall in love with this book. Really loved it on so many levels!

This book was beautiful and eye opening. I loved reading about Kayden and Liam. Their past still weighed heavily on them. But, I am as a firm believer if something is meant to be, it will find it way back to you. Kayden had a lot of happiness towards Kayden. They had to work thru together a lot of stuff that was far from easy. In the end they found ground that was more beautiful then the most prettiest garden. As I said I loved reading about their second chance, and falling in love all over again, and both realizing their mistakes of the past, and realizing what they had was real, and still is!

Loved this book on so many levels. I could not get enough of the flow of the story. It was moving with all the right emotions. I really enjoyed this author as well. highly recommend this author and their book. Both are a must read and a very high recommendation from me!

This story was literally impossible not be sucked into, and love every second of it. The author crafted a story that gave very remarkable characters and a writing that was different, but in a good way. I was hooked and entranced. I could not let go. I really enjoyed this one.

The way the characters were created and their interactions with one another were for sure my favorite concept of this wonderful story. Plus I love the start of this series, and can not wait to see where this is to go next. Francis and Grace and her so, were characters that really impacted me. I loved how this was not just a story of finding yourself. There was so much more associated with it. A lot is going on and happens, and in all honesty, a lot more WILL happen as time goes on. It was a quick read for me, and one I truly enjoyed and could not put down. Can not wait for to read the next installment!

Thank you to this wonderful author that created such a impacting book and wonderful start to a new series. I loved it and I highly recommend this book, series and this amazing author! A must read!

I personally love nothing more than a slow burn and boy oh boy did this author deliver on a slow burn. The characters are amazing, and I absolutely loved watching the relationship build between Grace and Ian. The writing is unique and beautiful, and flows so effortlessly that you will find yourself having issues putting it down. This story is filled with a beautiful lead character, a mysterious man that might steal her heart, and enough romance and secrets to keep the reader guessing. So if you love romance definitely pick this one up today.

This is a good fantasy story. I did struggle with the beginning since there are a ton of new characters met during that time. It was a bit confusing going back and forth. After that the story really started to take shape. I was drawn into their plight and wondered where and what would happen next. This is a good story that drew me in with the characters that didnt want to let go.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a one-of-a-kind book when it comes to uniqueness and with this being the debut novel by Sandra Young, I’m sure there is more greatness to come!

I really loved how the story of Tess and Trey in modern time became entangled with the lives of Edward and Phoebe from family history. Tess’s love of vintage clothing got her an invitation to model in a show with the ever hunky architect, Trey. While Trey isn’t as impressed with vintage clothing, he quickly finds himself falling in love with Tess….or is it Phoebe?

There are several twists and turns that keep the reader on the edge of their seat during this sweet love story of time gone by. I look forward to more books from this new author!

Faithful in Love (Cliff Walk Cousins Book 1) by Cecily K. Wolfe – Review by Rebecca Hill

Faithful in Love (Cliff Walk Cousins, #1)Faithful in Love by Cecily K. Wolfe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a lovely clean historical fiction! This book takes place in 1914 in Newport, Rhode Island. The main character is Faith Davenport. Faith is pure, sweet, and a little naive. At times, she is so naive and innocent that it was a little annoying and almost unbelievable, but regardless, she is a likable character. She has a strong faith in God, but that faith is tested. Faith is very close to her adopted cousin, Thomas. That relationship is tested when they meet and work with Nico d’Amici. Nico comes to Newport to work with Faith’s uncle where Nico and Faith fall in love. When Nico is in trouble, Faith and her close family come to help him. It was a great story that kept me interested and is worth the time to read!

Lost Soul (War of Destiny Book 1) by Theresa Van Spankeren. This is such a good series. I can’t wait for the next book. Once I started reading I didn’t want to put it down. I also felt like I was swept back in the time period of this book. Its the story of Julia who at 15is forced into an abusive, horrible marriage. She has fallen in love with her best friend Adam but her father thinks that Adam is beneath them so he makes her marry Gregory. Once married she is abused in every way possible, mentally and especially physically. She is finally offered a solution but it entails her becoming a vampire and fighting against the king. Can she withstand this solution? This is a great paranormal, historical, romantic read. Just be prepared to finish when you start. I was turning pages late in the night.

This is such a cute and adorable romance story. Gil and Sophie are the main characters and the story that unfolds is such a sweet one. The author’s writing style is so smooth and funny. She writes very detailed. You can easily connect enough to form mental imagery of the scenarios. Gil and Sophie’s romance makes me think of me and my husband. I was NOT looking for love and then he just showed up and we are best friends. I just really loved this story and the way the author captivated the budding romance.

Helm of Awe (Anchoress Series Book 3) by D.L. Armillei. This is an amazing series and I loved this book as much if not more than the other 2. I highly suggest reading the first two book to get a better understanding of the characters and plot. We meet Vanessa Cross again and she’s a year older and a little wiser. She has come in last in the Jaychund games and is highly frustrated with that. She is also struggling to get her powers to work correctly. The next mission is ready to head out and she’s not on the team but you know Van she doesn’t let that stop her. She is gone before they know it and this mission is taking them deep into Balish territory. She is also secretly dating the Balish Crown Prince Ferox and he has been ghosting her. She is determined to find out why Ferox is avoiding her, get her powers under control and get them out of this mission alive. This book is full of romance, mystery ad fantasy.

This is the first book in the series and is 209 pages in length. This story follows Gil and Sophie. I must admit, I did kind of like Gil’s family LOL. These two just finished working on a movie together and Sophie is in desperate need of some R&R. Gil suggests going with his family to their farm in France. Gil seems to have commitment issues and Sophie is going to try to rectify that. But that Llama though!

Faithful in Love (Cliff Walk Cousins Book 1) by Cecily K. Wolfe – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Faithful in Love (Cliff Walk Cousins, #1)Faithful in Love by Cecily K. Wolfe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I thoroughly enjoyed this heartwarming and uplifting first book in the ‘Cliff Walk Cousins’ series of Christian historical romances. This story focuses on sheltered and blessed Christian girl, Faith Davenport and her Uncles’s apprentice Nico d’Amici, who brings unexpected romance into her life. Faith enjoys spending time at her Uncle’s architecture business as his assistant when she meets Will, who is pleased to be offered the opportunity to apprentice to well known and respected Will Travers. Will was not expecting to meet Faith and to have an immediate connection with her. Unfortunately Faith’s cousin Thomas is not pleased by their growing friendship and does his best to intervene in their relationship.
However, soon the couple have more problems when accusations of theft threatens Nico’s freedom. Can Faith fight not only her family but also keep the man she loves out of prison. This is a wonderfully written romance with plenty of plot twists and drama that had me hooked from page one. The author made both the era and the setting come to life though the descriptive narrative and historical details, making me feel immersed in the story. I loved Faith and Nico and was hoping they would get their HEA. I look forward to some of the secondary characters getting their own stories in future books in this series.

Dr. D is a pediatrician at a hospital where is has a bit of a reputation. He’s is known for being a fantastic lover but never going past a one night stand. Emily doesn’t think this man exist but after a VERY drunken night she is corrected. Dr. D and Emily have great chemistry and even though this was a novella there was just enough plot to compliment their relationship. This was a super fun and quick read, you can never go wrong with a steamy doctor!

It Just Comes Natural (Powder River Pack Book 3) by Brooke May – Review by Amy Brennan

It Just Comes NaturalIt Just Comes Natural by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I hadn’t read anything by this author until I picked this up, and I’m glad that I did. It was what one would want from a paranormal romance novel. It had a little bit of the werewolf aspect right from the get-go, letting us into the world that Macy has grown up in, and feeling for our female lead right from the first page. The internal struggle of wanting to do what’s right for the family, but wanting to do what’s right by her, she is lead out of the state by her best friend for a wild night. You know you’re in for a treat when you meet Brandon, the masculine hero of our love story, that has his own inner turmoil, he’s a lean, mean, werewolf machine that I would just love to get my hands on, lucky Macy!

As this is the third installment in the Powder River Pack series, I have yet to really get to know the others in their pack, but the author does a great job at giving you a little insight into everyone that you need to know as the story goes on, which is really nice! The world building continues, I imagine, from the previous installments, which let me really get into the story. Not only that, but there are peaks and valleys that kept me interested throughout the novel. Overall, I loved the way that this author brought Macy and Brandon’s love story together, their struggles individually and as a family, and reiterating the fact that having a strong support system can make all the difference in the world, no matter what you’re going through. Excuse me, while I go read the first two, this author clearly knows what she’s doing!

I loved this fairytale romance story. This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. I have loved reading her books since the first one I picked up by her. One of the things I love about her books is her ability to pull me into her stories from the first word. I also enjoy her writing style and attention to details that not only make her stories realistic but also make them pop. This book is no different. This is a story that is well written and takes on a fairytale feeling. This is a fast paced story where the characters kept me coming back for more. I enjoyed how relatable they were and how they brought the story to life. This is a story about a queen who has been held captive not only that but she has fallen for the man who holds her captive. Now he is faced with risking himself, freeing the queen and causing misery to the people. I enjoyed the growth of the plot throughout the story as it made the story easy to read. This is a great flowing romance story that you don’t want to miss. This is a must read. I highly recommend this book and this author.

The characters are fun and relatable and the storyline flowed so well I felt like apart of the story. This is a story about Sophie and Gil, both are movie stars and they were leading roles in a movie they just finished filming . Sophie finds herself wanting more but does Gil have commitment issues? These two have crazy chemistry between them on and off the set. Sophie is invited to go with him to France for a visit with his family. This is the third book in the Anchoress Series. You’ll need to read the first two books (in my opinion) before starting on this one. Reading the other 2 books in the series you’ll understand what’s going on in the book better. Also, you wouldn’t want to miss out on any of the adventures Van and her team bark on. The author has a way of bringing her story to life and allows us to see through her eyes and feel everything that’s going on. Experience all of the emotions happening in every moment. It’s written so beautifully, so vividly that it’s an experience, an adventure, and not just another fantasy story. It’s an amazing book and will be through for years to come. I look forward to this author books in the future.

Divine Vintage by Sandra L. Young – Review by Ariel Jensen

Divine VintageDivine Vintage by Sandra L. Young
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Every article of clothing has a story, though many of us will never know the truth in the threads. For Tess, however, she begins to experience the history of a dress and the original owner’s final moments. Those feelings become amplified from the first moment she lays eyes on Trey. Will they be able to uncover the century-old mystery? Is what they’re experiencing truly their feelings or just a shadow of ghostly desires?

Author Sandra L. Young weaves a fantastic tale of romance and mystery among the threads of history and murder. From the get-go, I was drawn into the balance among the various characters: Tess’ whimsical but fiercely independent nature contrasted with Trey’s calculated and calm demeanor. The varying levels of paranormal belief, how their backgrounds play a part in their present interactions, and how they develop as individuals and together all build an intriguing tale. It was a delightful addition for me as a seamstress and lover of vintage clothing to have this story be so strongly tied to specific period pieces.

For everything I liked about this book, minor stumbling blocks brought the overall rating down. For example, occasionally the author would take a clear stance on a particular “hot topic” (eg. homelessness). While I did appreciate the tie-in to the overall story, the initial appearance was abrupt and felt out of place.

Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a romantic tale and those who want a first read into a book regarding ghostly encounters.
