This installment of the Harry’s adventures had me on the edge of my seat. I can’t really tell you much because it might just spoil it. At times, you feel you are right there with him experiencing his small world, teetering on the edge of his “cliff.” The story keeps you engaged and thinking as you follow along. I couldn’t put it down because I wanted to know what was going to happen next with Harry. I love Tristan and Elena but Harry is my favorite. He’s also our main character. Critter was an interesting twist. The story had a really interesting flow and ran smooth. I enjoyed the story and can’t wait to read what happens in his next adventure.
I absolutely loved the Hawke Family series by this author. When I saw there was a spin-off, I quickly got to reading.
This novel picks up 5 years after the events of Night Hawke. Isaac and Jack still think about the time they spent together and although Isaac tried to find her after, he was unsuccessful. Fate brings the two back together with secrets and identities now revealed.
While I did not read the prequel to this, I did not feel lost while reading. Reading Night Hawke would have given more character depth and background for the characters, making this more impactful but I enjoyed the story and romance overall. I do plan on reading it.
It did take me some time to associate the name Jack with our female heroine because I am used to it being used for male characters, but once I did, I found that I really liked the character and started associating her with the phrase ‘a Jack of all trades’ which I think kinda fits.
The author has a way of using suspense to grip you where you can’t put the book down which is another really why I love her so much. She quickly started to become one of my favorite authors. I may need to binge read some of her other novels while I wait for the next book in this series.

This book is book two of the series. It can be read as a standalone but there are some crossover characters so if you want to understand who’s who, read book one first. Both are good so you won’t be mad.
Nadine is doing well! She’s got her juice bar, her job, and her best friend. Everything is great! Until she receives a phone call that sends everything into a tailspin. Now, she has to confront soon to be EX boyfriend, Heath, and figure out how to keep the juice bar afloat. As payback, or to start, Nadine is stealing Heath’s personal trainer. She is sure Wick is not her type so she’s just going to get a couple months of sessions as reimbursement. That is until she finds herself in his hot tub and it all changes from there. Wick is honestly just what Nadine needs. Someone to be nice to her but also not so nice (when it counts).
Wick wasn’t at all what I was expecting but man is he everything! He was surprisingly nice (and that was important to him) but super alpha which is great! Nadine is strong and independent. She has a hard time letting Wick be nice but she comes around. These two have intense chemistry! This book was so good!

This is an interesting story that gives readers another look into the paranormal world that this author has created. Be aware that it is book six in this series and does end on a cliffhanger. I liked that Tansia is a strong woman who can hold her own and she is a good match for Calabarea. The two work hard at what they have and when evil comes to interfere Calabrea must make a choice about his emotions and Tansia. I enjoyed seeing the relationship build between these two as the worked together to defeat the evil that threatens them all. The author does a nice job of mixing the romance and action together giving readers a nice addition to this series.

An emotional story not for the faint of heart. This one speaks to the heart and soul and turned me inside out page by page. Shadow is fierce and brave. Tormented by demons she can’t chain you will feel for her in all ways. Meeting Panther is a welcome Change although he has suffered as immensely as she. They however are kindred spirits and this is a journey that is just beginning. It’s no slow ride.

4.5/5 Stars This series is such a great series. This is my 2nd book I’ve read in it and I wasn’t lost at all. These books make for great stand alone and I really enjoy that. This book has action and mystery which is very cool to see in a historical setting. For anyone wanting an introduction to historical mystery without it being boring or corny, this is a GREAT series to start with.

Fallen Soul is the fourth book in the War of Destiny Series, and it is just as fast-paced, full of surprises, and entertaining as the first three books. This book is shorter than the other books of the series, but still packs the same punch! Theresa Van Spankeren does an amazing job creating not only the world of the time period, but also the world of the vampires. I loved this book and its deviation from the perspective of the original characters, while also including them in the story. Much more information is learned about the vampires and some of the abilities that a select few of their kind possess. Valentino is still as evil as ever, and focusing his effort on not only hunting the members of Samuel and Julia’s ka-tet, but also hunting the rogue, Lane Marlow, whom he believes to be a threat based on his unusual powers. Overall, Theresa Van Spankeren delivers more great characters and wonderful world building that I’ve come to associate with her writing!

This was a great 5 star read. It was a rollercoaster of a ride with everything going on. Brooklyn is a hard worker with a traumatic history. Brooklyn meets Oliver and Jaxon one night at a club. Fate steps in and they see each other again, this time there is more interaction and sparks fly between them. When Brooklyn starts getting dangerous threats, the Four Knights help her. Will they be able to keep her safe? Overall this was an edge of your seat read. I really liked how the guys got protective of Brooklyn and wanted to help her. My emotions were all over the place as well, they get you in the feels with their stories. All the characters added a great element to the story. I have read several Notebook Mysteries books and this one was my favorite. They are all good, well written, thought out cases and good characters. Suspicions was a little more focused. There were 3 cases going on throughout the book but they were organized and tied in together. I love Emma and her bravery and wit, and sense of adventure. Her relationship with Jeremy has matured over the years, and I am happy to see her stick to her own personal morals and feelings. The ending was perfect, wrapped up all the cases and could be a good ending for the series. However, if the author chose to write more, I’d be happy as well. Seeing what Jeremy and Emma do on their next adventure.

I read Chicken Little Investigates to my 7 year old. We both enjoyed the book. He laughed at the names and said they were silly. He guessed the king’s final answer. The pictures are colorful and unique style- almost like a sketch colored with water colors. I liked that the sounds had a different font, to stand out. It was a cute book overall. I always enjoy this author. When asked if he thought his friends would like the book, he said maybe and they would probably laugh and the characters names.

Falling for you is book 2 of the series. I had read book 1 and had loved the characters. It is small town romance, with friends and food, definitely a winner. CeCe is a business woman and has a rule not to date coworkers. Evan, works with CeCe, and has fallen for her. CeCe decides to give him a chance and keep it easy between both of them. When an opportunity comes as a food competition, Evan wants to enter, but CeCe is holding back a secret. Will this secret create a tension between them or will they navigate successfully in the path of love? This is a very nice series and I cannot wait for book 3. Highly recommend for a light read.

This book was an amazing read. C.R. did a great job bringing up topics that might be hard for some readers to read. The use of these topics makes the book that much more realistic.
This book follows Calliope and Brandon. Brandon is part of a famous band and he has a very artful soul. Calliope is a woman with a few skeletons in her closet and demons in her past. Calliope and Brandon have known each other for years. They lost touch and one day meet again while Brandon is trying to find something he lost.
The history between them is vast and plenty. Knowing each other since they were young and reconnecting later in life means they have changed quite a bit. Can the person you once knew bring back lightness to your life? Can the artist that follows their heart show the person who uses reason to live freer? Can you forget your past or will it forever haunt you?

Chicken Little Investigates is a cute children’s story by Lois Wickstrom and illustrated by Francie Mion. My daughter thought this book was funny and she learned something too. She is 2.5 and she asked a lot of questions and it opened up talk of gravity and the different sounds that things make when they fall. She also loved the pictures and the part with the Fox (her words!) Overall it was a cute, short read. I liked that it was something familiar with something new. It was engaging enough that my daughter paid attention!

This book had me completely captivated right from the very start and proved to be so, so much more than I could have ever predicted. Brooklyn has had such a very cruel past and because of that she avoids real love and relationships then along comes the 4 Knight brothers who are bound so strongly by much more than just blood ever would. They are drawn to Brooklyn and are determined to show her what love can truly do. They will do anything they have to in order to keep her safe when her past comes back to threaten her! This was a creative storyline that had me eagerly turning page after page but what truly had me completely hooked was the amazing characters created by this extremely talented author. They weaved their way into my heart and held on tight! I can’t wait for more! There is so very much I need to know. I don’t just want to know what is going to happen for them all but I NEED to know.

I really enjoyed this read! The characters were sweet and felt like someone we all know in real life. The prank war was funny and had me thinking of ways my friends and I prank each other! Brooklyn (and let’s be honest also myself) was not prepared for the instant red hot chemistry between her and two of the “club kings”. They make her feel things and she runs… but they aren’t about to let her slip away. This book had red hot smexy scenes, Romance and action when the past comes calling for Brooklyn once again. This is an absolute can’t miss book!

Aiden, Gideon, Oliver, Jaxon – The Club Kings Are brothers but not by blood. They grew up together and decided they wanted to be brothers. One night in one of their clubs Jaxon and Oliver spot Brooklyn dancing and immediately go to the dance floor she is on and dance with her. Things get pretty heated quickly and she flees. Brooklyn has a past that she can never forget. An ex boyfriend really did a number on her and she still has scars…inside and out to remind her of it. The club kings show up at Brooklyns job for a meeting about a donation and everyone was surprised to see eachother. Jaxon and Oliver were happier than anyone because now they know who that woman was and how to find her. Brooklyn has no idea who they were and now that she does, she agrees to a dinner with Oliver and Jaxon to talk about the charity event. Aiden “the brains” behind the kings doesn’t trust her and has second thoughts about their donation. When Brooklyns past comes crashing into her present, the kings vow to keep her safe all while keeping her bed warm. I thought this book was well written but it was kinda long and wasn’t expecting the book to end the way it did. If I knew it was a cliffhanger, I probably wouldn’t have read it.

Chicken Little Investigates (Science Folktales) by Lois Wickstrom 4 Stars
The sky is falling! When an acorn falls on Chicken Little’s head, she decides to investigate. On the road to see the king, more of her friends turn up and join her. When the sly Foxy Woxy tries to pull the wool over their eyes, she manages to save herself and her friends.
This is a wonderful introduction to physics in the most simplest terms for children to understand. Filled with colourful pictures and friends with cute and silly names, this book is sure to keep the little ones entertained.

I absolutely loved reading book one in this series. The Christmas theme wasn’t in your face like most books/movies are. It was subtly there which was refreshing. Noelle was a strong protagonist and was written well, as well as Nikolas. They balance each other out very well and I was impressed. You have two feuding families that have been feuding for a very long long time and nobody remembers what the original fight was about. Two stubborn families collide in this book, and nobody is sure what the end will look like for them. The story was well paced, and had plot twists that come out of nowhere. I loved reading this book and can’t wait to see what the 2nd book entails!

This is a cute story of Chicken Little and the sky falling. The story takes on a science-sleuthy feel as Chicken Little and Henny Penny investigate the sky falling. I also liked the fonts used for the different sounds made, as well as the rhyming names of the characters. A great book for beginning readers!

I have read a lot of this authors children’s books and this one was another great one. I like how the author takes science and makes it fun for kids. The story is able to bring the subject to life. The characters are very interesting and keep the attention of the reader. I just wish that my children were still young enough for these books. I really highly recommend this author’s works for kids. The writer has a very unique style and I would definitely get these for my children.
I just love this series. Emma and Jeremy are separated throughout much of the story and you see their relationship strained, but strengthened because of it. The storyline is exciting with the different cases the group takes on. Cannot wait for the next installment out this year. I highly recommend this series!
